Ron came and looked at my chimney and gave me an estimate. He said they only accepted cash or check as their reputation was everything. Against better judgement I wrote a check so he could purchase supplies and that was the start of a 3 month nightmare of lies and broken promises. In the end, Ron stole my money, never completed work, never purchased supplies, and overall was terrible to deal with. I cant caution you enough, stay away!

I just wanted to congratulate Murphys Chimney Services. They are an excellent company that really cares about theirquality of work and their customers. I had a leak for years in my chimney and tried different chimney repair companiesthat said they could fix it. Well to make a long story short nobody could fix this leaking problem that I have had sinceI can remember. I was about to forget about it and have the chimney taken down when I was referred to Murphysby a friend who had used them and was very happy with their work. I said to myself lets give it one more try.They came out explained what they were going to do step by step. They did what they said they were going to doin the time frame they had estimated with no over run on the price and this is the first Winter that I have spent in thishouse without a leaky chimney thanks to Murphys quality work. They are great. Way to go and I am one happy camper.

My old brick chimney was falling apart. I thought I would have to tear it down and rebuild, but Phillip knew better. Thanks to his expertise, we were able to salvage the chimney. Now its like new. Phillip is a great guy, knowledgeable and friendly. I cant recommend Murphys Chimney Service enough. Simply put, they are the best!

Philip and his crew did an amazing job repairing water/ice damaged bricks on my chimney. My house was built in 1974, and they were able to find an exact match for my existing bricks, even though they have not been manufactured in many years. Philip is the kind of guy who will give you good advice and the kind of guy you can trust to do the work that is promised. I am very happy with his professionalism and the quality of his work! The work included replacing 70 brick, replacing the chimney cap (which had a hole in it), fastening a loose terra cotta liner, grinding out the joints and replacing the failing mortar, painting the steel door for the ash chamber, installing a rubberized membrane for the chimney cap, sealing the brick, and also some interior work on my wood burning fireplace.

Murphys Chimney Service are an incredible masonry and chimney - fireplace restoration and repair company.I have had a chimney that has leaked for about 20 years. I had all kinds of repairs done on it over the years fromdifferent so called chimney experts and cost me a lot of money. The all guaranteed it would not leak again. Thefirst time it rained steady it leaked. The experts were no where to be found and very few even bothered to comeback but they could not fix it. I said to myself finally money down the drain and put a large ugly tarp on the topof it and just decided not to use it anymore. Years went by and a good friend of mine had a leaking issue andPhilip, Ron and his crew repaired his chimney and stopped the leak. My friend who is very hard to please andvery picky was singing the praises of these guys and said they were the best he had ever come across in hisdealings with contractors and although obviously being a bit skeptical I called them to come take a look at thesituation. Philip and Ron came out removed the tarp and guaranteed me they could fix it and stop the leak forgood. They both are old school and I could tell very honest explained to me in detail what the problem was andhow they were going to solve the problem once and for all. Philip or Phil as he prefers to be called told me hewould get me a proposal to me in the next couple of days. He did just as he said and it was exactly the samein writing as he had told me. The price was reasonable as they had to undo all the bad work before they actuallystarting renovating the chimney and then sealing it at the end. It was a lot of work but they stayed with it start tofinish and kept in contact with me all the time with schedules and so on. This review is long over due as it hasbeen over 2 years since they completed the work and not one drop of rain have I seen inside the house. Ittook me over 20 years to find these experts and in my opinion they are the best in the business by a long shot.Both Phil and Ron guaranteed me it would not leak when they were finished and it has not done one bit. If you arelooking for chimney repair guys do not go any place else because I did and wasted a lot of time and money whenI look back on the whole deal.
