I have worked with myriads of companies; some of them were the number one in their market niche in the world.I really like the local broker for ITEX, and I have met the CEO and was impressed with the professionalism and the opportunities.Good group. Nice people. Im glad i met them.

I became a member more then 20 years ago, before the company was called Itex. They were once located in New Westminister, BC. Since the company was acquired by the current owner and moved out of Canada, there have been very few, if any new local trading partners. I have inquired multiple times why I continue to receive alerts for Ontario goods and services when I dont live anywhere near that end of the country. I have never received an alert about companies in my area or a good answer why. I just learned after my latest inquiry that according to the current owner, my directory listing was removed by the previous owner with no explanation. No apology was offered for this but instead I was told repeatedly that the contents and details of my listing were my responsibility (makes sense). However, given the listing was removed by them with no notice to me, the service I believed I was paying for each month was not being provided. I assumed that the reason I never received any inquiries was because there are basically no businesses in my area using barter and I offer a strictly local service. Like most people once you set up an account I rarely searched for myself in the directory. While the content of my listing is my responsibility the existence of it from its original creation was theirs given it was removed by them. The response I received was very unsatisfactory and I caution any business from becoming a member here, especially if you are located in Metro Vancouver. Just use cash.

What an awesome barter company. They really take care of their brokers and members. The company is growing so there always new ways to spend your ITEX dollars!
