My first time at the shop, first impression on the studio style ambience set the mood right with the feel very different from a franchise style parlor. Stylist spent good time of time listening what I wanted and we looked at a few images to mutually agree what he is going to do. Came out really happy with a haircut better than I expected.

I tried this place for the first time last week. Mt daughter wanted to chop off her hair and donate it. They were able to get her in, same day, and help us through the hair donation process. My son decided he also wanted to get his hair cut while we were there, and they didn’t turn him away or make us come back! Both kids got amazing haircuts that were meticulous and everyone we encountered at this barbershop made us feel like family! Highly recommend :)

My partner and I both see JR and don’t have any plans on that changing. JR is friendly, knowledgeable, and wicked skilled with scissors. He does an awesome beard trim as well that is so relaxing.The other barbers and stylist at the shop are friendly and do quality work. Best barbershop experience ive ever had in my life...relaxing setting...i could fall asleep while getting a cut if that was allowed...it was my first time there and took my son to get a cut before his first day of school..and hani did an amazing job and so did my barber i will he coming back to the another cut..best place ever

Its a pretty cool shop. Apparently it only has been open since Feb 2021. Good vibes. I got a mens haircut (starts at $40) and a beard trim ($20). Pretty happy with the service from Tanner.Plus, the wow factor - theres a bar and you get a complimentary beer!

Great barbers, very knowledgeable about mens hair styling and willing to share that knowledge with you. If you know what you want, they can do it just right. If you dont, they can work with you to get you a cut that looks great! Definitely going back for my next cut.

Came into speakeasy for the first time today to drop my friend off at his appointment. While waiting I decided to ask Cesar if he could do my eyebrows just for fun and he got it done like a pro. We also decided to do the nose waxing which he also did a fantastic job with. To finish it off I decided to ask Cesar if he could give me a cat scratch on my eyebrow and he did it like it was nothing. I love this shop and will definitely be coming back. JR is the owner and main guy. He does such and amazing job over the years that I have followed him to both of his places. Speakeasy is his new concept and the vibe is great. Always very customer-centric and the quality of the service is second to none. They have three other chairs and JR has a way of choosing both quality stylists who share a priority toward customer service. Maybe a tad hard to locate on the second floor but its worth the effort. Great experience!

I was living in Europe two years ago and was frequenting the top, renown mens barbers in Paris, Rome, Milan, Prague, etc. Cesar is on par with the best in the world Ive been to. He is precise and has a fantastic eye for his craft. He is extremely talented and I look forward to each appointment knowing that each cut will turn out perfectly. For major extra credit let me add that hes so personable, professional, and a joy to be around. Could not give a higher recommendation.

Also, I like supporting local business since this joint opened this February 2021 (based on another review and confirmed in person today). Its quite brave starting a new business amid the pandemic! Cesar basically modernized my look and made me look 8 years younger with a fresh makeover look, with a new haircut, beard, as well as eyebrow trimming and waxing, two things Ive never done before. Very meticulous and swift job, indeed. Enjoyed the banter as well. Looking forward to visiting Rio de Janeiro and Brazil sometime in the future! This is the best shop to handle mens beards since I found one Costa Rican place in NYC long ago. Ill definitely be coming back in 3 weeks time to get my nose waxing done as well. Thank you Cesar and the rest of the crew! Kudos!!! :D PS: Cesar, feel free to post before and after pictures. I dont have them, since you took them, but it really made a stark difference, imho. PPS: Only a couple nitpicks or suggestions for improvement. 1) Offer non-alcoholic beverages like sodas and/or iced teas, and 2) wash/scalp treatment. I miss those from Cobellos Gentlemans club from downtown Westlake SLU Seattle location. Otherwise, stellar work!

JR was fabulous. I have a typical straight and thick Asian hair. Being new to the area, I was anxious about getting a haircut with an unfamiliar designer. However, I simply explained to JR what I liked aided by some photo showing my previous styles and my desired look, and HE ACTUALLY NAILED IT. JR is attentive and detail oriented. I am particularly happy with his work on my sideburns and neckline — they look neat and contemporary. He listens to his client and understands the ideas quickly. I am very glad to have found this place, and I will definitely be going back again!

I followed Payam to Fresh Barber because he is the best barber. I was told by a previous barber that my hair was very difficult to to barber, but Payam does a very professional and consistent job and it is worth driving a little farther to get the job done right. The shop is very clean and pleasant. Plus he is just a nice guy. Highly recommend

I got introduced to this place via Groupon. I got a haircut from JR and I must say I wasnt disappointed at all. JR gave me an amazing taper fade haircut, he also gave me some tips on how to style my hair. The place is a little difficult to find, its a red house across from Applebees.

Anyone out there looking for a consistent great haircut/fade from a great Barber in the Seattle/Bellevue/Kirkland area need to come here! JR and Payam have been cutting my hair for years at there old place in Kirkland (The Barber Shoppe). They now run this spot together and I’ve never had a bad hair cut and always left happy with my hair! I will vouch for them all day! They have Walk Ins and you can Reserve online.
