I am from California but is out here visiting family. Somehow my wire from my braces got detached from my bracket from the very back and was poking at my cheek. I called my insurance and was able to mark it as an “emergency visit.” I called the office before hand and they told me to make sure I get there by 1pm. Luckily I was right down the street and my cousin was able to take me. I walked in, filled out paperwork and the doctor was able to see me. I am truly thankful that they were able to remove that part of the wire for me. I don’t have to worry about it the rest of the weekend and be able to enjoy. The staff was so sweet and very understanding. I appreciate what they did for me and I would recommend this office💯

Dr. Acuna is the best dentist Ive ever seen. Hes thorough, compassionate and really knows his stuff! His staff is also top notch. I highly recommend Dr Acuna!

Horrible experience. They charged me without even going through my insurance by putting random charges together. Their response was “your insurance was complicated to figure out” - despite them showing me a graph that outlines it is paid 100%.I wouldn’t even trust some of these other reviews.

Fernando Tordoya has made the experience of coming to the dentist a very comfortable one for me since I started a few weeks ago. Im very nervous about dentists in general but hes very thorough about explaining the procedures and lets you know everything thats being done step by step as he goes. Im currently in the process of getting deep cleaning and fillings. Very nice staff here.

To be honest Im not the biggest fan of dentist, I went last year around this time I was freaking out and the stuff calm me down he did his job and I was out with in 10 minutes. It was the greatest experience ever. mind you ..I went for a wisdom teeth to be removed live an hour away but I dont care how long I have to drive if I know they goanna do a good job and most important of all Im calm and relax.

First time ever at Atlantic Family Dental and upon entering, the staff was so inviting. I saw Dr. Pablo Acuna who is one the most professional individuals I have ever met in my life. He made sure that I was comfortable throughout the whole process. He took his time making sure that he diagnosed what was going on with my tooth which needed a filling that had cracked (work that was done at a previous dentist office I went to) and bonding as it also had a hair line crack that I was totally unaware of. He kept me in the know of everything he was doing and explained how I can help the cracking of my filling from happening again. His bedside manner is so on point which kept me relaxed throughout the entire visit. I would highly recommend Atlantic Family Dental!

Dr. Pablo Acuña is phenomenal at determining what are your needs and he is very diligent at making sure your gums and teeth are in good health. As soon as I walked through the door, I loved it!! It is very very clean! Which is a big plus! The staff is amazing. The one time I went there was no parking so I had to park by a meter & I was worried about going over the time and they offered to check my meter and put a quarter in it if needed. I also have two children and another time I went for a filling they told me not to worry & offered to keep an eye on them as I got my procedure done. I have always hated going to the dentist due to bad experiences and dentists being to rough and trying to rush through my procedures, but Dr. Tordoya is the best! He is careful with my teeth and he knows what he is doing! I have referred two people already to him!! Not exaggerating when I say they are awesome, and would give them 10 stars if I could!!!!!

I have been under Dr. Tordoyas care for about a year now. He is the best dentist I have ever had with no exaggeration. He is extremely well versed in dental care, has a wonderful bedside manner, keeps his patients well informed and has such a gentle and precise hand in his dental procedures. I highly recommend both Dr. Tordoya and his caring staff for any dental procedure. I have even fallen asleep in his chair during a procedure and says a lot. I entrust all my family to his care as well.

Office is very clean, and the staff is polite and friendly, which is not something common in dental/medical office. Appointment times are accurate and wait times are short. Dr. Tordoya is very professional, and extremely attentive to detail. His work is good quality, and I have had three previous dentists, all with very bad experiences. I have and will continue to recommend family and friends to go to Atlantic Family Dentistry to see Dr. Tordoya.

Absolutely Amazing!!! I have never been to a dentist as gentile and sincere as Dr. Tordoya. I actually fell asleep as he was doing my cavities! He made sure I was comfortable and felt NO PAIN as he did what he had to do. His staff was very nice and I already referred to him to EVERYBODY I know. I wish I can give him 10 stars!

Dr.Acuna is by far the best dentist i ever had.Not only does he do excellent work he also has a personality and actually cares about your well being.My prior dentist told me i needed implants but thanks to Dr.Acuna my teeth are built back up and i finally can smile with confidence.The whole staff is skilled and friendly.The receptionist Louise is also very helpful with explaining benefits and helping you lay out a plan financially.Very happy and Grateful i found this dental office.

Didn’t even wait more than 10 minutes for my first appointment. My tooth was numbed before the extraction procedure, and Dr. Acuna continuously checked on my health and condition throughout. It was a job well done and with few complications. I didn’t even need pain meds and I was comfortable throughout the procedure. Awesome job Drs., you deserve more patients!

I hadnt been to a dentist in years and was in need of a lot of work. deep cleaning, wisdom teeth, root canal, fillings. ALOT!!! And im sure like many of you i was nervous, who llikes going to the dentist!!!. well any hesitation i have is now gone. THEY ARE GREAT!!! any questions or concerns i had were answered. They made sure i was comfortable during each and every visit and even saved me from having to get a root canal by trying a filling first. He could have easily done the root canal and charged me and i wouldnt have been the wiser. The staff at Atlantic family dental is awesome and i highly recommend them if you need any work done

I have looked around the Nutley area and first came across Dr. Acuna and Dr. Tordoya’s information through a friend of mine. After continuing research and checking out some additional reviews, I finally went on to schedule some cleanings at their practice. I was greeted by a friendly team, who were pleasant and comfortable to interact with all day. The doctors were fantastic professionals and did their job well, my teeth are definitely in the hands of a trusted, experienced dentist. I definitely want to refer them to my friends and associates.

I had massive pain for several weeks that I treated myself. I had just moved to NJ, and had just given birth and my teeth were a mess. Before visiting Atlantic Family Dentistry, I went to a Dentist in Mountclair who literally just came into the patient room to tell me to make an appointment. He did not look inside my mouth, he just stood there and said you look like you’re in lots of pain, make an appointment and we’ll see how we can help you. By the way, they charged me for that visit $159.00 and I paid them. I never went back to that office. About a month or two passed and the pain got so bad that I wanted to run into wall just to see if the pain would go away. That’s when I started looking for a Dentist around my area and thanks to God I found Dr. Acuña. As soon as I came in to the office the staff was very welcoming and outgoing. They placed me in a room and took X-rays. As soon as Dr. Acuña saw what was going on, he showed me and explained to me what was going to happen. He started the process of a root canal, put medicine in my tooth just so that I could live without pain until I could come back for an appointment. I have since been a loyal patient at Atlantic and I keep writing about how amazing they, Inwouldnt have any space to finish, I honestly wouldn’t trade them. Dr. Acuña is the best at what he does! They are very compassionate and care about their patients. They are very professional, the office is always clean, and they have good music inside the rooms. I guarantee that you will have an amazing experience at Atlantic Family Dentistry. Dr. Acuña is the teeth whisperer.

I got a groupon for an exam, a cleaning and xrays. I saw Dr. Tordoya. He was very nice. I have been going to another dentist one town over and was not seeing any relief for my gum and tooth pain and have been to them three times in the last year. Dr. Tordoya explained what was going on with my teeth. He also did the cleaning and I felt relief right away. He gave me an oral rinse, an option the other dentist did not give me at all. The office is also very clean. I felt the groupon was worth every penny. My mouth and teeth feel great. I normally dread going to the dentist but this service was excellent. I have a few small cavities and will be going back.
