I retained Junior Associate Drew Dossett Esq. to help me with my case. I verbally spoke with Mr. Dossett a week and a half before about every detail of my case and gave him all the information I had pertaining to my upcoming case. I also stated to Mr. Dossett the the judge presiding over my hearing had ties to the other party and I requested that the judge be removed from my case and he waited until the day before my hearing to tell me that the judge shouldn’t be a issue. Mr. Dossett did nothing with the information I provided him and when the court date arrived and he found out the other party had legal representation he approached me and stated “ Since they have legal representation that changes everything”. Needless to say my day in court the was a field day for the opposing counsel and party. I can’t speak for the other lawyers at the firm, but I will say if you are looking for a reputable and dependent lawyer I wouldn’t recommend Mr Dossett, I would urge to find better representation.

I would give this Law firm zero star if I could. Mr. Kelley Zuber here is a joke. They charged my card 9100 dollars to review my brothers case from another law firm and to do one zoom court session. You talking about highway robbery. Plus when you sign the form that you will be billed $250 and hour, well don’t think that’s what it really is. They have lawyers charging $350 an hour which was never discussed. And don’t think you will get any of the deposit money back because once you fire them, they won’t email you back to tell you what they are refunding so you’re out that 3 grand too! What a waste of money. I wouldn’t recommend them to file anything for anyone.

I urge you to do your due diligence before agreeing to pay the $100 consultation fee. My case was urgent in nature and I felt the gentleman doing the consultation and collection of initial documents could have cared less. My 1 hour consultation was actually 10 minutes. Take into account the few emails that went back and forth and I maybe took an additional 20 minutes of his time. Once the documents got to the lawyer I had been assigned, I felt we lost almost 36 hours time to petition for an emergency hearing. Carmen Keller was my attorney. While I felt she had little experience with my particular situation, she did a lot of research, consulted with her peers, and came to court very well prepared. By the end, we were granted judgement in our favor. Carmen was very responsive to all communication and was pleasant to work with. If you can get past the consultation, I felt I was well represented.

I recently used Stange Law Firm and they have been awesomely awesome!!!! If need be in the future if I need there services I will be retaining them again!!! Carmen Keller was very professional and a no nonsense take charge attitude I needed for my situation!!!! I Highly recommend this law firm!!!!!!

This is a good law firm if you are interested in winning and have a large pot of disposable money, however if you are concerned with justice being served look elsewhere. Stange Law firm is good at winning and they like to win. They are highly technical and very good communicators. Its a quote they use in their consultation. While I did win my case I lost in morality. My lawyer refused to bring up certain fact so as not to hurt the case. I was told by the attorney who scheduled me in for the consultation that they made their legal fee affordable. They are not affordable at all. I gathered all of the evidence the final bill was outrageous for the amount of work they did. I will not be referring them to anyone else.

OVER CHARGED!!! They play the game of they dont know who your attorney will be, as they scam you for as much money as they can. BEWARE YOUVE BEEN WARNED.... some type of civil suit should be filled against this firm.

So far an EXCELLENT experience!!! I hired Andrew Rankin to represent me in a dissolution of marriage (military) and my only regret is that I didnt hire him sooner!!! From the moment I sat down for my consult, he was everything I could possibly want in a lawyer. He was able to layout the process and actions; his questions were relevant and he listened. Mr. Rankin has been incredibly responsive with every correspondence; as soon as an issue arose, he was immediately on it. He has kept me up to date on the status of my case; laying out the next steps so I know what to expect as much as possible. All while being very conscientious of the time; no fluff all business - which I truly appreciate when you are paying for the best! Bottom line – Andrew Rankin is attentive, efficient, knowledgeable, and diligent. Went to court to determine child support in August 2018 and ended up keeping them till February of 2020. Absolutely nothing was accomplished, wasted $30,000 for them to not do a single thing. I ended up filling through the state for free and the entire child support deal was taken care of within 3 months.DO NOT USE THIS FIRM! They rip you off!!!!

I had the pleasure of working with two great lawyers at the Belleville SLF office - Kristin Olson and Cynthia Trice. I felt both advocated for me in their advice and actions, and it did not feel like they were doing the bare minimum - especially Ms. Trice. Ms. Trice has stayed in regular contact with me, and the moment there is a case update, she informs me and we come up with a way-ahead. I feel confident that my case is in good hands.

Kristin Olson helped us with an adoption case for my oldest son (as well as termination of parental rights from his biological father). I had a consult with a junior associate who informed me she would charge $200 for a consult. Ok...no prob. I later that day had a change of heart and decided not to retain. They charged me $300 to process the release and case closure because they spent an hr scanning my source documents. They then turned around and charged my credit card $2,000 2 days later as a retainer. I discharged and they still charged me a retainer?!?! They are knowledgeable but will take ALL of your money with no remorse. I’m a military member struggling with a complicated custody issue and this is how they treated me and my family. Stay FAR away!

Over charge outrageous amounts of money for zero work done. They are primarily out for the women of society like the rest of the state of illinois.. they love feeding off divorces and draw every little thing out as far as they can. Even charge for emails sent. Over 10k so far.. asked for a reconciliation after 3 months nothing has been accomplished and still being billed. You are better off drafting up your own divorce papers. Even asking for an itemized list of what has been done has yet to be seen and asked for twice. Stay away from this place!

I would not even rate this law firm a 1 star. I sought counsel for a child custody matter. Meanwhile being ran through the mill on charges that were beyond ridiculous. Let alone I received ZERO HELP, meanwhile these people made out Huge in financial means and in return no work done. This law firm is a JOKE Once they finally established who my attorney would be I was placed with an Attorney by the name ofEdward Ryals ...... NOT sure whereEd Ryals established a law degree perhaps out of a cracker jack box!!!I later found out that he knew the other sides attorney and basically nothing would be resolved. Called to make an appointment for divorce consultation. Received email confirming appointment time and also received a flyer stating that the first 30 minute consultation was free went to the appointment and was charged 50 for the consultation called to ask why I was charged for the consultation after getting a flyer emailed to me saying it was free and was told that the flyer should not have been sent to me that that expired the month prior (which was 2 days before my appointment) but there is no date on the flyer stating that it expires on a certain date. No retainer for me with this firm if they are dishonest in the beginning I dont want to see how they are to actually work with

Im giving 5 stars because Kristin Olson has been so patient with everything going on. She has maintained constant contact and is always available to talk, even after hours or on weekends. Weve had many curve balls thrown at us on this case, including an emergency that changed everything and a judge who didnt exactly follow protocol and she has been able to help navigate me through them. Yes, this law firm seems pricey, but I learned years ago that you get what you pay for. I believe that, had I hired a lawyer from Stange Law Firm when my divorce was finalized 10 years ago, instead of hiring a cheap attorney, I wouldnt be going through my current situation. I also really enjoy being able to track all of my documents online. If I have a question about anything, I dont have to wait until I get home to look at a carbon copy, I can download all correspondences right to my phone.

In April 2015, I hired Jonathan Glassman, through Stange Law Firm, to represent me in my divorce. Prior to selecting Jonathan, I met with 3 other attorneys to discuss my situation. In discussing my situation with the other attorneys, I felt as if much of the discussion focused on what my spouse was entitled to as if they were representing her or at least preparing me for how they would envision settling the case rather than focusing on how they could defend my interests. From the beginning, I felt that Jonathan was posing questions and gathering information that would allow him to represent me and if necessary, litigate my case in defense of my interest. This was a key differentiator between Jonathan and the 3 other attorneys that I met with. Jonathan’s thought process seemed organized and he clearly articulated his thoughts during our initial discussion. For me, I felt as if he was someone that I could partner with to effectively guide me through the divorce process. These early impressions ultimately reflected how he handled my case and interacted with me and I feel fortunate to have had him represent me. Some areas that I have particularly been satisfied with include communication. Stange Law firm has an electronic case tracking system that provides me access to all my case documents, correspondence, and billing information. They even provide an android app called Divorce HQ, which provides additional convenience and access to my case information. Email eventually became a very effective way for me to communicate with Jonathan and he was very prompt in providing responses/feedback. In working my case, I felt Jonathan was very receptive to me providing input and always provided prompt and honest feedback based on sound rationale. This allowed me to feel very comfortable with how my case was being handled and the direction that it was taken. Ultimately, we were able to amicably settle my case but all along preparing for litigation if it became necessary. I would definitely recommend Jonathan to others facing a divorce.

Worst law firm that I have ever worked with. Unethical billing practices, trumped up charges, non-delivery of promised documents, zero timeliness in responding to case matters, but quick to bill for anything and everything. Other peoples case documents were filed in my case tracker on several different occasions, causing grave concerns of privacy of my sensitive case related documentation. Delivered documents always had typographical errors and improper grammar. They couldnt even spell my last name correctly on termination of representation letters that were sent out. My previously assigned lawyer was either fired or he quit the firm and my case was to be transferred to an even greener associate lawyer. Terminated representation in this matter due to non performance and have retained a much more ethical law firm to represent me in this matter, a simple divorce even in Illinois should not take 15 months!

My recent experience here was the most horrible yet. I was charged $70 for basically nothing for a consultation that should been free. The lady I worked with wasnt any help. The whole experience was just uncomfortable and a waste of my time. No help at all. I didnt even want to give ONE star...didnt deserve a half of star either.

ONE day before our court date we were assigned Kristin Olson as Sean had left!! She was a bumbling idiot in court, obviously did not come from Chicago with any intention of familiarizing herself with any of the cases she was going to court for since she did not practice that kind of law in Chicago! She continued to tell us that she knew our case inside and out and sent us a letter demanding funds, but included in that letter so much WRONG information it was ridiculous!! During the 2 consultations we had with her she did so much talking and when my wife would ask a question, she told her in so many words (because all she did was talk and not listen) that my wife was stupid! She did not even realize that we had paid our half of the Guardian ad Litem fee, In the last letter that she sent us she said we had to get our balance back up to $1900 by January 19th! We told her that my husband would be getting his bonus (we know when and how much bonuses are as he works for the St Clair County Sheriffs Department) and that all would be caught up and she agreed, 2 days later we received a letter stating that in court on February 3, 2015 she would be informing the judge of a withdrawal of her services! She told me nothing of who should be at the court date for emergency relief and therefore the Judge had no choice but to declare some of it inadmissable at that time. She walked around in circles in the courtroom looking for paperwork, obviously not taking the time to familiarize with the court house before one day walking in like a fool! She showed no confidence in our case at all and after she searched for a conference room simply asking What would you accept as a settlement? I lost all confidence in her and thought it way too early to even consider any of that when she had not contacted any of our witnesses or anything! Our account is negative $270.00 because after receiving the letter (after coming to an agreement) there is no way I would want an inexperienced attorney who did not practice what I need) She spent much time bragging how she worked in Chicago, which in this county and my case I really did not care to hear because it had nothing to do with the kind of work I needed her for! I cant believe that a law firm with the reputation and good reviews that you have would hire such an incompetent attorney, who degrades her clients and instills no confidence what-so-ever!

Stange is a divorce mill. They will over bill you and charge you for hours of you engaging in small talk with the office staff. I think they have them listed as paralegals. Watch out for that. They will ask you questions about your spouse and how your feeling etc to get you talking and then tack it on your bill.While you will probably have to watch every move Stange makes,I must say I really loved my attorney Anna. Our first appearance in court made me very nervous. My husbands attorney was very pushy and was trying his damnedest to intimidate me and Anna. She never raised her voice or showed any emotion in response to his tirade of accusations about me and his assessment of our case. She was unflappable, this made opposing counsel flummoxed. I felt so comfortable from that moment on. I tend to be very scattered which only increases when I am stressed. Anna has a very calming nature and she tells me exactly what I need to do to act in my best Interest.I have been an emotional mess for months, I have been going through a rough time. Everyday I feel a little better than the day before. This is because of Anna my attorney.I have not been a perfect client, (far from it). The staff lets me know it is ok to be a bit of a mess but encourage me to get it together for my own sake. My life is less chaotic and I feel much more in control and I know my life will be just fine. I have learned to listen to what they tell me to do. I feel like I have a buffer between myself and the ugliness that I had grown used to for years. Anna got me the financial support I need and She helped me figure out what I will need from this point moving forward. I know I made the best choice for my representation.My best advice to anyone starting this process is to listen to your attorney. They know what is best for your case. It took me a while to figure out that no matter how I felt I should listen to their advice and to take it to heart. Anna has assured me that everything will be ok, but I certainly didnt make it any easier on myself or my case.I must caution you not to engage in conversation with the office staff as they will bill you hours on your case. Be sure to log the hours you engaged with your attorney to compare with your bill later. You will need this. Keep all receipts and get receipts for ALL payments.POST Script: Anna is an excellent attorney. She is also a caring individual who will genuinely look out for your best interest. She helped work out a reconciliation between my husband and I. This was really against the wishes of my husbands attorney who advised him not to even speak with me. Its been over a year since we reconciled and things are better than they ever were. We have Anna to thank for that. I dont know if she is working for Stange now but if she is ask for her. Her name is Anna Fayjinna. She is a fairly green attorney, but she really knows what she is doing and she will work in your best interest.
