Couldn’t have asked for better!! Andy and brendon were so sweet! We had a flat, they gave us rides to and from a hotel, service was phenomenal. Even gave us some very helpful life advice. They saved our vacation.

This company was very professional. They were helpful with getting our tipped trailer upright and towed back to town. They were extremely helpful the next day with helping us make sure the hitch, safety chains, and lights were working. Assisted us by letting us use one of their sockets to fix what we needed. Extremely impressed and thankful!

To say I was impressed is an understatement! This company and the young kid that came out to tow our RV 67 miles back to Belle Fourche so we could get a new tire and fix a hose- WOW! Professional, knowledgeable, kind, genuine, and just overall exactly what you hope a business will be and so often, is not. I recommend these cats for any and all services needed!!I am, generally, hard to please so when I say these cats are the best- I mean they are the best!Now back up, we were out by Hammond Montana when are inside rear passenger tire blew and blew a hole in our coolant line. Stranded in the middle of no where, no one for miles, I couldn’t get AAA on the phone and I was about to flip my lid! I called the sheriff dept and they gave me PTR towing. I called them and within a couple hours they were out to save us!! 😂. The kid that came was just great!!!! He changed the spare and hooked us up to the wrecker and off to Belle Fourche we went! While on the drive he proceeded to explain where we needed to go to get help and even showed us as we drove into the town. Once we got to the destination he continued to make sure we were safe and knew what to do the next morning. He went over and beyond what he needed to and we GREATLY APPRECIATE IT!!!!Again, I recommend PTR to anyone and everyone who needs their services ❤️

It was 100 degrees, I lost all my coolant, I had phoned every repair shop in the area and for one reason or another they couldnt do a road call. The lady I spoke to at Plains,said they werent sure if they could assist me , but she sent a fellow out to see what could be done. In less than an hour I was rolling again. I cant thank Plains Towing and Rescue enough for helping me.

We were stranded after hitting a deer and Andy came to our rescue. It was 90 degrees and I had two small children in the car. He was outstanding, as we headed to the town with the nearest rental car company he even asked my kids if they need a drink or a restroom! Above and beyond!

We were in Wyoming when we hit a deer on our way back to Minnesota. John came to get us, our 4 dogs, and our crushed vehicle. He was patient and kind with allowing us to get as much stuff out of our car as we could grab while bringing us to a hotel. When we arrived back to Minnesota, we contacted John again to see our options for retrieving the rest of our belongings out of our car. John went through our damaged car (at our request) and retrieved our belongings and sent them to us so we didnt have to make the 10 hour drive back. Per my google search for towing in Spearfish, these guys were 3rd down... likely because of my search location. The first company wasnt available until the next day. The second company didnt answer. Plains answered, and arrived at a specified time. Got me out super quick, provided a text receipt, and suggested I contact insurance for reimbursement, which my insurance did. Great company, I will definitely use again. Recommended.

Short story long, I had to recover on a truck that broke down in the middle of SD, an area Im not familiar with and have zero contacts. Our freight had to get to MT asap and how grateful I am that I called PTR. From the start, Alvin was professional and honest. He offered me a save the day solution. His drivers, Kyle and James were fantastic. Their communication was on point and I was able to sleep last night knowing my freight was in good hands. PTR said what they did and did what they said. To me, honesty and integrity are the two most important qualities in business, and unfortunately, theyre hard to come by in the trucking/transportation world. PTR exemplifies both! I was really pleased with the towing of my near new pickup. Your man named Kyle was pleasant, courteous, efficient and was careful with my pickup. If I had a Rolls Royce that needed towing, Id have no hesitation in calling and would request Kyle. I would recommend them to anybody.

Service was as timely as can be! Very efficient and pleasant. He delivered us to our hotel, helped us grab our bags and then delivered our car to the repair shop. Highly recommended!!

Our brand new truck broke down near Mount Rushmore on a Friday. Ford roadside sent out Olson Towing and they were able to tow our truck but could not accommodate our camper and my family of 5. We called Plains on Saturday morning and the owner came out and thankfully took all of us, including our travel trailer, to Gillette, WY. They had the best rates and by far, the best service. Al even dropped my husband off at the Ford dealer and then took us to a campground where he got us all set up. Super thankful to have used them, especially under our unique circumstance. Would highly recommend to anyone!

If you need a tow, these are the people to call. Their rates were very generous. My car got stuck in a snow drift and they got me out. They were super helpful, my car was shaking and they let me take my car to their shop to powerwash the snow stuck in the wheels.

Bad recovery. 3 hour wait. Understand they were busy. $94.00 for 3 block tow. Was not impressed😢

I would highly recommend going with another towing company even if it costs more. This company towed my rv negligently and did not follow their standard procedure. If you know anything at all about towing large vehicles you know that you have to take the drive shaft out before towing. They did not remove the drive shaft and we had to completely replace the transmission. After doing their job wrong and irresponsibly, they were rude, disrespectful, and condescending when I asked them about knowing this procedure. They even admitted they didnt do their job right and still continued to treat me like I was wrong and stupid. They refused to help us with anything, fought us to no end, and even went behind our back to talk to the mechanic to try and get them on their side. The most unprofessional and horrible service I have ever recieved in my entire life. How can they even be considered to be professional when they dont know rule one about towing - the one and only thing they do?

I was stuck at a Conoco Gas Station/Mart in SD about 2000 miles from home. He showed up very quickly once I got the Progressive mess sorted out. $80 and he even found me a cheap motel near Black Hills Auto Care. He was the owner of the towing company. Very honest man.

Excellent service!! Would definitely recommend.7/29/18 Had a blowout & no spare while traveling in South Dakota. We were broken down in the middle of nowhere at least 40 minutes from the nearest town. PTR worked seamlessly with our insurance company’s road side assistant program and arrived with cold water and an immediate concern for our safety. Even with the Sturgis rally only days away and early riders in full force John with PTR made it to our location within the hour. It was Sunday, so despite all his efforts to help us find a tire (a specialized size)within a hundred mile radius for our car it wasn’t possible. He ended up having to tow us and our BMW back to North Dakota over 210 miles (a six-hour turnaround for him). John was professional, courteous and friendly which made our 3 ½ hour ride outstandingly easy. We had great conversations, made good time even through a wicked thunderstorm and John was super accommodating any time we needed to stop. Thanks again to John and PTR for everything!!
