I always find the people at this location to be absolutely professional and amazingly polite. Almost scary sometimes seeing public employees who are this polite. If you have any issues they will do their best to try and work them out.

This has to be a bad joke. Manchester Native. Accepting section 8 assistance for the time being, the limitations placed on the recipient are so restricting it’s unreal. $1100 all utilities included, wanting the Mayor to do something, I’m going to call him.Go ahead, try to find a decent one bedroom, in an ok part of town, that welcomes a pet for $1100 per month all utilities included and your options go from extremely limited, to none existent.Furthermore, while my NHH “Assistant is somewhat expedient in texting a response, she has been useless in terms of assisting me finding a home in the place I was born and raised.I’m irate!🤬

My caseworker does not do her job they continue to try to take my voucher away, they are not helping me find housing, they’re not sending me the information I need to apply for housing so if I could give them zero stars I absolutely would because right now I am arguing with them to get my voucher back and it’s ridiculous that they keep doing this to me I don’t understand the way that they do things but I feel like my case manager should be doing a lot more than she is

Had to deal with a very rude woman at the office Nancy Sullivan who was obviously a control freak and made my insurance claim ten times more difficult than it needed to be. Appalled at how disrespectful she was even after I asked her to help me as I am a disabled veteran with a brain injury and needed assistance with the process.... she insisted on making every step problematic and it wasnt until I decided to say I was coming to see a supervisor then everything was handled efficiently and without an issue so clearly she is the problem.

This organization deserves more than the five stars I am allowed to give it. They operate under the authority of HUD… The US department of housing and urban development, and like all housing authorities across the nation, they are bound by a specific set of guidelines. That said, every Housing Authority is different in its views and treatment of clientele who must use a voucher in order to afford safe housing.Having seen both ends of this system, and having seen other housing authorities, who in some cases only do the minimum, in cases where suspiciousness and disdain of their clientele can seep through the fabric of all that they do, I was so very pleased to witness any such entity rising far above the rudimentary call of their job description, and treating every single client as if they truly matter. Thank you, NH Housing, for restoring my faith.

Getting housing vouchers takes a long time. Its worth the wait and the wait has nothing to do with this agencys performance-its based on when you apply, numbers of applicants and the Federal government. Ive found them very helpful and fair. They do the best they can (and very well)with overwhelming numbers of people seeking assistance in need. Other states have even higher numbers and wait lists.
