We’ve been going here for many years with our pets and the staff have helped us through our best moments as pet owners (like adopting a new animal) and unfortunately, the worst (end of life care). The vets take the time that’s needed to explain your animal’s conditions and options, and never pressure you. Dr. Jessie was recently so compassionate in end of life care for our dog Cash, helping us walk through the decision and assuring us we were doing the right thing when we were very emotional and caught off guard by his decline in health.I am giving 4 stars instead of 5 for the price of this practice compared to others in the area, but the quality of care is great.

Took him in and he had to be sedated this was at 5 pm and I was think wow I probably have to leave him overnight and it would probably cost me an arm and a leg.To my surprise he was done by 5.45 and not that expensive. The staff was so great and caring for my baby. My Lab who had Pancreatitis and IBD, was treated with great care and love by Dr Katharine Jenkins during the last years of his life. I lost him 3 years ago but recently a friend in another country contacted me about their Lab and the meds that saved my Dukes life. I could not remember any of them but I called the hospital and the lady who answered (I am so sorry I did not get her name) very kindly brought up my Dukes records and gave me all his meds and the dosages. I was never happy with VCA but the staff of this hospital go above and beyond in their care both during and after our pets leave this world. Hopefully the information I received will help another animal in distress but once again - this animal hospital has provided me with amazing help. Thank you. PS Dr Jenkins was the only vet there who actually researched my Dukes condition, reading his entire file on his first visit with her. These diseases are difficult to diagnose and treat in both humans and animals but more so with a creature who can only look at you with his eyes trying to tell you how sick he is. Dr Jenkins was the only one who worked so hard for my boy and me.

I have been using this vets for a few years now and my experiences up until now have been fantastic. All of the vets have been caring, compassionate and friendly, they really do put your pet’s health and happiness first. My most recent visit however had a vet tech who left me feeling sad, disappointed and unhappy. She was rude to both me & my dog and her attitude made it an uncomfortable visit. Taking your animal to a vet is an experience that should be welcoming, not being treated like you are lesser by your vet tech and your pet being treated in an indifferent nature. The vet was wonderful but that experience alone with the vet tech left a sour taste in my mouth and I will be reconsidering using Daniel Webster for my pets’ care going forward.

We are so grateful for the team at VCA Daniel Webster and especially Dr.Rosa. We had two back to back surgeries for our 1.5year old Doberman ( the first was a neuter + liver biopsy and the second was a TPLO surgery) and it truly felt like we were the only patient. Dr. Rosa was incredibly responsive, helpful, and knowledgeable. We are so glad to say Captain is fully healed and back to his energetic self!

I would highly Recommend VCA Bedford NH. Our little guy Jack had a benign growth and had to be neutered . He is a senior dog and also has heart disease . Doctor Rodrigo Rosa took amazing care of him, after surgery he would check on him if we had questions they would answer right away. The care all of our pets have had at VCA is just amazing. . The doctors at VCA Bedford NH also saved my youngest daughters cats life. He was a very sick little guy who needed all of his teeth removed. We would never have known if it wasnt for VCA we probably would of lost him. Everyone at VCA has been so kind and treat our animals as if they were their own . Thank you so much VCA Bedford NH . We chose Daniel Webster Animal Hospital based on reading these reviews, and 4 years later Im happy we switched to this hospital. The doctors at DWAH are professional and friendly.Weve seen Dr. Rydstrom and Dr. Rosa. Both doctors are knowledgeable and caring. They always take the time to answer all of my questions and concerns, and they explain things well and in depth. The staff have always been welcoming and loving towards our cat and 2 dogs.Recently our dog, Darla, needed a major surgery. She has luxating patellas and arthritis. Dr. Rydstrom recommended we work with Dr. Rosa for the surgery. From their, Dr. Rosa has taken such great care of Darla. He took the time to explain the whole procedure and answer all of our questions leading up to the surgery.Throughout her recovery, Dr. Rosa stayed in touch with us via text (through an app, professionally) and even answered our questions on weekends. He showed genuine care and concern for Darla, which was very comforting. He successfully corrected her Medial Patellar Luxation (MPL) in one leg, and we will be going back to Dr. Rosa to correct her other MPL.Our family is very grateful for Dr. Rosa and the whole team at DWAH for helping our pup feel better! Dr. Rosa at the VCA Daniel Webster Animal Hospital has been absolutely amazing throughout our dogs entire TPLO surgery process. He spent a lot of time prior to the surgery making sure we thoroughly understood all aspects of the surgery, how to prepare, what to expect, what we could do to make it easier on our dog. After the surgery, Dr. Rosa had phenomenal communication. He texted regularly to follow up on our dogs progress and asked for photos to make sure everything was healing as was expected. He made himself available to us at all hours in case there were concerns and/or questions.I cant thank Dr. Rosa enough, he has definitely gone above and beyond any of my expectations (an they are high). The Doctors and staff took such good care of him and us .We had a remote phone consultation and videos were provided.Everything was explained in detail, they made sure we understood each step of the procedure and his healing process, all the while dealing with the challenges of running a veterinary clinic during covid. I have no regrets with the decision to go forward with the surgery. He is not limping, seems totally healed as a 9 year old lab can be. My cat lily got hit by a car fractured her leg bad. We brought her to our nearest emergency vet and were told by them that we were either to put her down or have her leg amputated. We were devastated and decided to call around. Dr. Rosa at VCA told us that our cat was young and healthy and had a very high chance of living a normal life with a structure put in. So we decided that this was the best option. We were given the total of everything including visits and X-rays from there out. Lily ended up with the structure in for a few months and is now coming home with the structure off. She lived with pins and rods in her leg for months and Dr. Rosa was there every time I texted with a question. The team there is an amazing one and my cat wouldn’t have made it without them. He told us exactly what to expect and helped us and lily through it all and I am soooo grateful for everyone, especially Dr.Rosa. Thank you so much for everything you guys have done

Weve been going to VCA DW for years now- 5, maybe? Ever since we moved to the area. They have always been friendly, responsive, kind, and caring. Except this winter, when she tore her CCL (aka, her ACL), I cried. I cried because my poor baby girl. I cried because a 9 year old dog having surgery is scary. I cried because I have a 1 year old and 2 jobs and the post op care seemed like a lot. I cried because dang, that was an expensive estimate. But Dr. Rosa and the team at VCA DW were amazing. The surgery piece, I am obviously not trained in to know otherwise, but her stitches were clean and when they came out, the incision has completely disappeared. But it was the post op care and follow up by Dr. Rosa that spark my review. Texting us all night that first night to hear concerns and see how she was doing. Asking for photos everyday for the first 7 to visually check her incision for infection and healing. Answering questions on a weekend, providing support and encouragement for me, clarifying exercises and PT that we were doing. If your baby needs TPLO surgery for a torn CCL--- Dr. Rosa. 100%. 10 stars. Highly recommend. If your baby just needs regular care- VCA DW, 10 stars, highly recommend.

I have been a client of Daniel Webster Animal Hospital for over 4 years, and I could not be happier with the care and service they provide my dog Gracie. We have at one time or another visited and met each Veterinarian on staff. As we transferred our other dog to their care as well.Unfortunately, as Gracie grew, we noticed her knees were causing her problems walking. We consulted with Dr Rosa, who made us feel comfortable with the surgical procedure required to help Gracie get back to chasing pesky chipmunks. The process was amazing, Dr. Rosa kept in touch the weeks before the surgery to see how Gracie was doing. We had videos to watch and learn about the surgery and what to expect for recovery. After surgery Dr Rosa was in touch every day, had us send pictures every day so he could personally watch her recovery. We had access to Dr Rosa every day, and that is so comforting as we go through the process of healing and preparing to have Gracie’s other knee fixed.I would recommend Daniel Webster Animal Hospital VCA to care for your pet, and for orthopedic surgery, there is no one better than Dr Rosa.Thank you to Dr, Rosa and the staff of Daniel Webster Animal Hospital.

We decided to go through VCA for our pups second TPLO (sadly common after a first tear due to stress on the other leg from recovery). She’s a four year bernese mountain dog. I normally bring our dog to Hampstead Animal Hospital but they could not get her in for surgery for 2 months and I didn’t want to have our dog wait that long and have her be in pain and only get more deconditioned. After a lot of research and 2 other consults I met Dr. Rosa. Lita is now 4 months out from surgery and doing wonderfully. Dr. Rosa is very knowledgeable, takes his time to explain everything, and I felt at ease working with him. He is available by text and responds very quickly which is invaluable when you have questions after your dog goes through a big surgery like that. Friendly office staff. Overall very good experience and I would highly recommend Dr. Rosa.

We saw Dr. Rosa when my dog of 10 years needed his spleen removed because he has a large mass. Dr. Rosa was amazing. He sat me down and went over everything I needed to know and what to expect. When my dog had problems, like scratching off some staples, Dr. Rosa responded right away and told us what to do. He made himself available for an office visit the same day to take a look at my good boy. He gave me a phone number to text him anytime with questions, concerns, and I could even show him pictures of things I was worried about. He always responded and it gave me so much peace of mind. He even responded to me on a Saturday too, it was so nice.Unfortunately my dog was diagnosed with cancer. Dr. Rosa went through all of our options. He was kind enough to go through everything with me two different times because I was too sad to retain the information the first time. He is so kind and caring. He is also very professional and knowledgeable. He went over recent studies about what the best treatment options were for my dog. He even reached out to and discussed my dogs case with a dog oncologist. I didnt have to stress about doing any of it myself. Even though we are extremely sad with my dogs diagnosis we are happy that everything was done in the best interest of my good boy and that we are in good hands with Dr. Rosa. If my other dog ever needed surgery I wouldnt hesitate for one minute to go with Dr. Rosa again. Our day to day veterinarian is Dr. Rydstrom. She is so great. She knows our two dogs really well. Our new dog was only partially treated for heartworms before we adopted him she looked through all the literature to see how to proceed and make sure he was okay. She is very knowledgeable and very friendly. I gave her a vague symptom for my other dog and she found out what was causing him to not feel well. Shes did a very thorough assessment of my good boy and found the tumor on his spleen. She went over all of our options and took care of all the scheduling and everything to make sure my dog got in for surgery with Dr. Rosa ASAP. My dogs love her and so do I! You can tell Dr. Rydstrom cares so much for animals and loves her job.The vet techs and secretaries are also super nice and shower my doggies with treats and pets every time they visit. Dr. Jenkins has been our vet for years. She is incredibly helpful through the years she has taken care of our cats. Comforted us when pets have passed and taken such good care of them. Seven years ago we got a dog Paxson she has been great with him he is challenging, he is an American Eskimo, its part of the breed. He loves his family but has difficulties warming up to others. She has never had to muzzle him .Paxson and her have formed an alliance. Paxson is very ,very active. He loves playing frisbee he chases cats, squirrels, turkeys and his toys. In July he jumped onto our bed a tore his ACL. Dr. Jenkins thought it was ruptured cranial cruciate ligament (in a human it is an a ACL). Dr. Rosa confirmed, he performed TPLO surgery on him. Paxson is recovering very well so far. He walks favoring his good leg a bit. However he puts his total weight on it and is back to playing too much. They were so kind and helpful. We could reach out to Dr. Rosa any time via text message and he was always very responsive. I had started bringing my cats here about a year ago. I had 2 cats, Simon and Sammy and I would make an appointment for one, and they would be expecting the other one...then I would have to tell them why Im there and what not as if there was nothing ever written in the chart. After Sammy died of kidney disease, I adopted another 6 month old kitten, Molly. When I brought Molly, down for blood work before a surgery, I was asked why she was there and when I told them, they asked what the surgery was for... AGAIN as if nothing was written in the chart. I had expressed that I felt Molly had a heart condition and suggested that they run tests for it (x-ray and/or blood work), Dr Peterson said there was no need to worry so no tests were run. When I dropped her off for her surgery, I voiced my concern, yet again, to Dr. Rooney and how I really felt they should test her for heart disease because I had a really bad feeling about the surgery. I was told I was worrying for nothing (Molly, an indoor cat.. panted a lot which is a sign of heart disease) and was told sometimes cats JUST pant. Molly came out of the surgery but died suddenly about an hour later. We will never know why.. but I am beyond convinced she had heart disease and the stress from the surgery caused her to die. I think the doctors at this facility need to research heart disease the way I did and then theyll scratch their heads and mutter the words I think she was right about Molly. If they would have even showed a LITTLE concern for how she panted, i would not have gone through with the surgery. Its not as if I was asking for free testing! I would have gladly paid for any test that would have confirmed or denied my fear. Research indicated that an x-ray would have showed if she had heart disease. I asked Dr. P for the x-ray and for her to tell me its not necessary is just beyond irresponsible. Kittens can have heart disease...they can be born with it. Its BS that not only was I a PAYING CUSTOMER, but Molly was their patient and she died because they couldnt be bothered to take an x-ray.

The premises are well taken care of (no odors or messes), the staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and they do almost everything in front of you allowing you to keep an eye on your animal and comfort him/her (unlike others that whisk them off behind closed doors with party hats). Lastly, Im blown away by the compassion they have; almost any kind of non-typical visit will be followed up with a call asking how your pet is doing, if you have any questions and if everything was taken care of. Its a small thing, but that level of care should certainly be commended.

As I waited I watched the staff leaving, cleaning up, shutting off lights, patients in & out & they didnt come out to get me into a room, a 1/2 hr in the car, just waiting for a room. I was pacing outside, in front of windows. Finally I went in asked & they didnt even seem to know I had an appt or was even there! I remember when Dr. Tucker worked in the old bldg. They cared. The vet who claims to be the expert on exotic pets is a joke. We brought in our guinea pig who had an abscess starting to form at the side of his face. So the vet simply prescribes Baytril(antibiotic) and sends my wife off. Sounds good so far, right? Well doing a 5 minute google search later I find out that without lancing and draining the abscess first (along with daily flushing for about a week) that the antibiotic has zero chance of actually working. Why, something that took me literally 5 minutes to figure out, this was not performed I have no idea. Now here is my real problem, if you dont know what you are doing (clearly the case here) then say so up front and we will simply find another vet, but no we spent (or more appropriately flushed) $80 on the visit which resolved nothing and unfortunately prolonged the time for the abscess to continue growing before we took him somewhere else. I say this in all honesty, stay away from this place!
