Stayed here on our way to Ohio from Fla for work. Pros: right off of the highway and in a good location to many restaurants, gas stations and stores. Plenty of parking. Room was clean. Workout facility available. Cons: room smelled like they had bathed several wet dogs. It was super stinky but since it was clean and we were exhausted we opened the door to the balcony to air it out. Workout room was yucky, machines weren’t clean and it looked like they had some type of flood issue on the flooring. They did have wipes available for you to clean your own machine so that’s a plus. Cappuccino machine was broken. (Not a huge deal but I do enjoy a latte after my workout). First world problems…. The staff were all very nice and personable. I would recommend staying here if you are passing through Beckley.

The room was clean. Megan at the bistro was great. She took excellent care of us. Food was great. Four stars all the way.

Enough to get by in a small town. Clean enough, convenient enough. Nothing about it was outstanding. The staff was very kind, and the fire pit in the back is pretty cool.

Convenient stop near the New River Gorge. Our rooms were neat and clean and recently updated. Kudos to the breakfast server who made us awesome breakfast sandwiches and single handed was able to cook for and serve the guests. It made out morning go really well. Thank you!!

Good hotel with a pool and an outdoor fire pit area. Although I didnt get a chance to experience the fire pit, due to a large family gathering out there, it looks like a nice place to chill. The only downfall was the poor design to our shower, very limited space between the wall and glass door (of which didnt close and leaked). But overall, nice place!

This is one of my favorite Courtyard hotels and I stayed here more times than I can count. Its very clean, the staff is friendly, and the location is close to the WVA turnpike (without being so close that you hear road noise). Some bad apples did wake-up us on our second night (they were fighting in the highway); hotel management quickly addressed the problem and gave us a discount on our room (which I appreciated). If you can score a room with a balcony, ask for one opposite from the freeway (these are the best rooms at this location).

The hotel & room was very clean! The staff very friendly & helpful! They have breakfast (to order) & a small bar at night. We did not visit the bar, but breakfast was very tasty! Our room had a small balcony (which I loved)! Equipped for many charging cords. The only negative thing I have to post is the beds are very hard! Other then that...Great place to stay!

Hotel is older but well maintained and clean Staff friendly. They have a little breakfast area that is not complimentary and very expensive. Coffee so weak it could have been warm water! There is an outside area with a fire pit and seating nice place to relax

It did the job.Pros: there was a pool (which is great for kids), its right next to Chick-fil-A, the decor was nice, and the AC worked great.Cons: The hotel room wasnt the cleanest. There were mens beard trimmings by the sink and black hairs all over the floor of our bathroom. The walls are also very thin and the group in the room next to us were up late and loud and we could hear everything.

Very friendly accommodating people. The property has seen better days. Beat up, worn, dripping faucets, broken door handles. Convenient to the National Park. Lots of franchise food nearby/walking distance. But the property needs work

It has been renovated but you can tell it is an older property. They do not have microwaves in the rooms. It was clean.

This was a very disappointing stay. The video on the Marriott website about covid-19 protocols were reassuring. That is why I chose to make a reservation. The rooms were comfortable. We asked for a late check-in and the staff was accommodating. When we got there, we noticed the front desk staff wasnt wearing a mask properly and it kept slipping off her face. The mask mandate and social distancing werent enforced in the lobby. The room didnt have a disinfecting wipes as advertised. The housekeeping staff wore their masks around their neck. Cast some doubts on whether the rooms were properly disinfected at all. The fridge didnt work and when we called the front desk, we were told to wait for it to turn on. The AC stopped in the middle of the night and we were too tired to complain and so we ended up cracking the balcony door open. I wouldnt recommend this hotel.

Currently top tier with Hilton, however going to try Marriott from now on. Enjoyed the hotel, however the shower water pressure wasnt great. One of my pet peeves! 😑

Hotel was clean. Lady at the morning desk didn’t exactly embody hospitality. We found her to be terse, aloof, and uncommunicative. All and all not a great look to this platinum member.

Needs maintenance badly. First room a/c was out. 2nd room the window plaster was falling out. Many other items also, but too much for this post. Manager told me hed debit my account for the troubles. That did not happen.

Hotel was clean and comfortable. We were only here 1 night. Front desk was accommodating. Breakfast was for purchase and was excellent!

Room was not clean had toothpaste dried up all over faucet, fridge had old food left in it. Toilet was leaking water from water valve and was clogged. Management gave my husband a plugger and said all the toilets where like that. Would not give us a new room.

Not terrible. Close to the interstate and nearby restaurants and gas stations. However, horrible parking and there is a smell coming from the water when the facets are turned on. Workers are pleasant.

Last minute booking at this hotel.Planning to stay at Charleston WV but the hotel there were all overbooked and we drove 1 hr to Beckley to stay at this hotel.Nice clean and Bonvoy member.No bath tub only standing shower and have balcony.Will comeback again

One thing Marriott is known for is quality control. Whether in Beckley, Niagara Falls or Anchorage, a Courtyard still feels like a Courtyard. This place was the same. The front desk was courteous and helpful.

Very disappointed. I expected a lot more for the price. Rooms are dirty, old and look like theyre falling apart. The staff is rude, bitter and not welcoming at all. The hotel rooms look nothing like the pictures advertised. Spend your money somewhere else.

This was the top room I had on my 7 day trip around Pa. and WV.Clean, it had all and more aminities. They appreciated our stay. Staff very good. Thank you.

This is the only hotel I’ve ever stayed at that does not offer coffee or any sort of breakfast in the morning. Regarding the cleanliness of the rooms during Covid, we arrived to find the previous guests’ food still in the mini-fridge. I don’t have much overall confidence in the cleanliness. The rooms are otherwise comfortable though.

This property is exceptional in all aspects of comfort and friendliness. It is clean, bright and in an area of restaurants and shopping. I did not dine at the Beckley because of other commitments so cant comment on that. It is easy to get access to the major highways. It is also close to a little shopping area with an excellent cafeteria. The Tamarack has beautiful and an array of items from food to glassware. The artists have an enclosed glass area where you can watch them work.The cafeteria has a nice assortment of meals reasonably priced. Even though it is a cafeteria they have someone to assist at your table by offering service and removing your dirty dishes ect for you.

Last minute stop. Nice clean and friendly people.

The walls must be paper thin because you can hear every little sound. Also dissapointed that we werent notified in advance the bistro was closed due to covid.

Nice, clean and well kept place. Location has everything you could want within a short walking distance. Price was inline with the average. Why only four stars ? Woke up in the morning and proceeded to make a cup of coffee....nothing but decaf... cannot function at even the lowest level without caffeine. Disrupted my whole morning routine. Aside from that , this is the place to stay. Especially if you are not a coffee drinker.

Over all I had a good nights sleep. I arrived at 11:09 pm ready to pay with cash, but was told I couldnt and that I had to pay with my card. So I did so and was told the deposit ($55.00) would be credited back to my account within 2 to 3 business days.. its been almost a month and I never gotten my deposit back... 😡

Great Room and Perfect Pillows!!

If you want to stay in Beckley, I highly recommend the Courtyard. It is convenient off the interstate and near restaurants. They do have a Bistro restaurant and Starbucks outlet in the hotel. The rooms are clean and the staff is always friendly. Best part for me is the TV has built-in availability for internet TV - Netflix, Prime, HBOGo, Hulu, and I think another option or two. They are going through renovations so I imagine next time I visit there will be wonderful improvements to a good mid-level hotel. Great for business travel as well as a family stop on a road trip.

Nice and clean. Rooms were quiet and nicely decorated. Check in was quick and efficient. Staff was friendly but didnt go out of their way.

Just be aware if you reserve the king suite, the bedroom does not have a separate door. This room is basically 2 adjoining rooms with one door in-between. The bathroom is located on the side with the bedroom and the other room is a giant open room with kitchette and fold out couch. The hotel did bring in a rollaway. This was not idea at all when traveling with my older teenage son and his friend. I should have just got adjoining rooms.

Room was beautiful and very clean! Felt like a luxury stay without the price tag. Staff were superb! Will definitely be staying in Courtyards from now on! Breakfast was delicious!

Good and attractive hotel with clean rooms and nice bedding. Staff was great.My only complaints would be the bar not being properly stocked but we each got a free drink because of this (2 of us were at the bar). My biggest complaint was the pool being too cold. if your wondering why you rarely see people in the pool this is why. probably easier to maintain this way but it defeats the purpose.

My family was driving from Florida to Canada in 2 concentrated days between 3 drivers. For the little extra you might pay at a decent hotel, the peace of mind provided by superbly comfortable, clean beds and linens is priceless. Just what was needed to send us on well rested and calm.

Clean, comfy room with the best side-sleeping pillows Ive slept on. common areas are closed, and theres no breakfast of course, BUT they have reasonably priced food to buy in the lobby if you dont have your own or, there are drive-thru options close by.

Best rating Ill give a limited service hotel is a 4. Didnt have a lot of interaction with the staff, but this with whom i dealt were friendly and competent. The hotel must have been redone pretty recently. Rooms were great. Location is outstanding. Ill stay there again.

Stayed at the recently renovated Courtyard in Beckley. It was nicely done.Our room was very comfortableand clean. The staff was very helpful and pleasant to deal with. Our only disappointment was the complimentary breakfast that we enjoyed in previous stays had been eliminated. This brought my star rating down. Phil P

Very comfortable and quiet and budget friendly

I really cant give a complete review. During COVID restrictions housekeeping is suspended, the restaurant is closed (no free breakfast for status), pool is closed, and fitness center access is restricted. I understand everything but the housekeeping, that seems more about cost-cutting than prevention. Location wise, its close to the interstate. Outback and Chick-fil-A are walkable. Tamarack is a very short drive. They did a good job keeping common areas clean and posted helpful signs requiring masks and social distancing.

I found this hotel as it falls midway from Greensboro to Pittsburgh. It is a calm town and very well connected location. Has good restaurants like Chick-fil-a, Panera and some other American fast food chains. But we like the Bistro at this hotel. They do a great job with the food presentation and is timely and not as expensive. If we did go for a fast food will be a at the most 5 or 10 dollars cheap. It was about $30 for the Breakfast for 2 adults and 2 kids. Similarly for the dinner too, it was not as expensive and convenience of eating at the room.

Everything in the room was really nice and clean and orderly, and comfortable... However, we went to go and get drinks and snacks, and, while the drinks were fine, there were ants crawling on the shelf where the snacks were, and had gotten into one of the honey bun packs. And, when we were checking out this morning, the ant infested honey bun was still on the shelf. And yes, we did tell them about it last night.

Absolutely beautiful!! Staff is great! Lovely and comfortable accommodations! Bathroom is big but couldnt get a picture because the door is large for handicap accessible.I will definitely check them out again next time. :)

Courtyard Beckley is one of the finest hotels we’ve stayed at. The comfort and cleanliness was above and beyond my expectations. The ambiance was warm and friendly. From the fire pit out back to the wonderful food, our evening there couldn’t have been better. The room was large and very welcoming. The bed was very comfortable, and the cleanliness made me feel right at home. This is the only hotel we will stay at going forward in Beckley!

This was our first stay at a Courtyard. We found it most enjoyable and the staff was extremely friendly. The room was okay space wise (king bed) and both the room and bathroom were clean. Karen deserves a special call out. She is very friendly and the food at the bar was very good.Anne and Dave

Typical hotel, TV was perpendicular to the bed(strange) and shower head needed a deep clean but was ok for an overnight stay on the road.

The hotel has taken great lengths to update and upgrade the guest experience. The decor is lovely and welcoming. I love the little balcony! The fire pit and outdoor seating was a very nice touch.

Returned home to our birth city of Beckley, short four day, three night stay, Starbucks and great breakfast selections, prepared individually and pipping hot. Much better meal than leaving for breakfast locally. Room was recently remodeled, beds clean, bed linens clean, and the individual room air conditioning was more quiet than previous hotels in Beckley. On any return visits we will stay here again.

Perfect stop between Ohio and the Carolinas. Stay here often and it has everything you need. Clean hotel, staff is wonderful! They actually offered me a blanket when I arrived in the rain and was chilled. Gas station and fast food restaurants close by.

This is a great place to stay. While there is not a free breakfast, there is a lovely bistro with delicious food. You dont have to check in and then go find a place to eat. However, an Outback is right across the parking lot.

Great hotel in a great location. Everything is nearby for any thing you may need. A short drive are fantastic things to do and see. This will be the place to stay when traveling between Atlanta and Pittsburgh.

This is a very nice hotel. Beautiful décor in the rooms. Only trouble we had was check-in took too long. But we will stay here again because it is such a nice hotel in the area.

The room was nice and beds reasonably comfortable. Im docking stars for wrapping the glass drink glasses in single use plastics. It is a disgusting and useless waste of natural resources and defeats the purpose of having reusable glass. No one was ever really harmed from having the glass out sitting on the table. Im also docking because because the A/C allowed the temperature in the room to fluctuate too much which kept me awake and a 2 egg microwaved omelet is 10 dollars in the lobby and theres no complimentary breakfast. Its just not that great a value.

The room was dusty including the phone, so they didnt sanitize for Covid. The internet was also spotty, which was problematic as T-Mobile doesnt get service in Beckley. They also dont have any breakfast nor will they give you free water bottles like other similar tier options like the Hampton.

Nice hotel, always very clean, friendly and affordable. We have been here over a dozen times and never had a bad experience. I would recommend making sure your room isnt next to the elevator due to noise if you have kids, but thats any hotel. They are in the process of updating, new rooms are very nice.

Was an ok enough pit stop after a long day on the road. When we checked into our room, we spotted two small black ants. We wiped them up with some toilet tissue and flushed them down the toilet. Upon waking in the morning, we discovered those ants had infiltrated our medicine bag, and there were dozens of ants crawling all through our stuff. We discarded two bags because we didnt want to bring the ants home with us. I brought to hotel staff attention, and they offered no consolation, saying a manager would be in tough with me, and would likely offer me some points. Id hope, being a platinum rewards member, Id get a bit better treatment as far as reconciliation. Ive still not heard from hotel staff.

The staff was friendly enough, and the room was reasonably nice enough, but I was placed in a room overlooking the pool and while not generally a problem there were other guests that stayed up until midnight talking, yelling, and just being noisy. Next day they spent several hours by the pool playing music so loud I couldnt even hear my TV when turned up. I did complain to the front desk and yet again the staff was friendly and stated they would address the noise complaint, but either they didnt or these guests could care less of other guests in the building and continued to play music loudly. Not a pleasant stay.

Awesome staff... great location- near everything you need. Clean rooms and computers to use for personal use and printers as well. Laundry room so that is very convenient. Overall just a great place to stay 😀

Remodeling. Top floor was done and rooms were nice and quiet. Still needs a little scrubbing to get construction materials off shower area....but clean enough. Girl at front desk pleasant and told us about construction up front. Appreciated.

Clean rooms and friendly staff.

The location to the interstate is quick and easy. The hotel parking is free and the lot is well lighted and we felt our vehicle was safe. The lobby is updated and there is no foul odor or strong cleaning product smells anywhere which I greatly appreciate. The staff is welcoming and professional, and fast! The room was so spacious, clean, well appointed. We had zero issues and were very happy with the stay. The pool and workout rooms were clean and towels were kept fresh and stocked. The lobby is spacious and comfortable. One thing to plan for is that the breakfast is al a carte and a bit pricey.. However there is a full bar, starbucks coffee options. Everything in the bistro area appeared fresh and high quality. There were newspapers, fruit and granola bars offered complimentary near the check in area. This probably the nicest hotel at this particular exit and a great half way stopping point for trips to the east coast before the mountains. We came in very late after selecting a bargain hotel nearby that was so disgusting we took a loss and left. This hotel was clean, safe, quiet and convenient, worth the price.

Had a wonderful one night stay. The bar and restaurant inside the hotel was a plus. Balconies in every room were also a plus. Great staff and clean room!
