It took us several years to see and understand that we were nothing but a number; just another widget processed through them. Even when we asked for advice to improve our tax burden, we never received it. Expect the following: If you are a new customer, then you will meet with Mason and he will get you excited for your taxes with thoughtful conversations on tax burden. Then it heads over to another CPA to complete and you never get the same tax discussion like that when you first arrive.No strategy, no business tax planning, just another packet and bill to pay. No what you want and expect that from them.

Ive used this tax office the last two years for my personal taxes. this office has people who are very professional and willing to help you. There always responsive and do a good job. I would recommend them to anybody, you get what you pay for.

You have to be a tax expert yourself to get anything done here, they expect you to do all the work for them. I called and asked what documents they needed from me and the office manager mark responded saying hes not a cpa and couldnt tell me what they needed. I looked up a cpa, I called a cpa, but they had mark call me back instead

We hired Martin D. Hunter, CPA PC to do our bookkeeping and taxes in the middle of 2018. We received a handful of emails asking for documents and information, but they were very poor in giving us updates or following up. After about a year with no progress we asked for an invoice (we had to file all of the taxes ourselves with no help from them). When I reviewed the invoice, it appeared that they charged me for work they did not do (our tax program showed that no changes where made for months). When I asked why we were charged, Mason said that they did the work and they had the files on their own system. When I asked to see the work, he informed me that he would not show me anything until I paid all the invoices (for work I still dont believe they performed). I didnt want to make a big deal if they had performed the work, so I went ahead and paid (and it wasnt cheap). 8 months later, I still havent received anything. Our records are basically at the state at which I had given them to them. Not sure who I have to file a complaint with. Definitely stay away.

I met with Mason Hunter because of the five star reviews on google. During our meeting, he did his best to answer my questions. However, when I sent him emails afterwards, his responses were SLOW - I mean weeks of no response then followed by requests for more info on multiple occasions. Finally, I told him I would work with another Cpa. He made it my fault and wrote “good luck out there.”

Used Martin D. Hunters office for taxes for the first time this year. Was throughly pleased. Came from H&R block for past few years. Cost was less to do my taxes, got more back and they found an error on past year taxes which returned me another few hundred dollars. I will be using them for all future CPA needs. I worked with Jen,Alright, so I went here because I havent done my taxes in forever. Want to make sure I had filed correctly due to being in the national guard. Well, i was charged 150 upfront. For just 10 min of an accounts time. Gave them 3 piece of papers that had all my information on it. 4 weeks later they are asking my for another 90 dollars to file. I Know if I had a complex return I understand it takes work. Sadly, It was a standard return I took me 20min to do on turbotax. The account called me back apparently it took 3 other people to do my very simple tax return (a standard one) also they like to charge people to put them I their own systems. So 4 people to do a standard tax return. I would never recommend this place to anyone! Sad how busniess like this one like to take advantage of people just because. Use turbotax much simpler and they have a cpa on call to help you with question at a fraction of the cost.

The Hunters have done my taxes ever since they got too complex for me to do (ie. once the 1040EZ couldnt handle my needs). All of my interactions with this family business have been fantastic. They were excellent assistance when I bought my home 10 years ago, and they have been instrumental in me keeping it during a couple of very difficult years of unemployment. Whether I was dealing with the elder statesman of the family, Martin (whos name still adorns the business) or his wife Yvonne (who makes the calls when youre late with your bill) or Mason (their son whos clearly taking the reins), theyve made doing my taxes bearable.
