Was looking for gym to join so thought I would check it out. There were 4 associates at the front desk and when I walked in all but one scattered. When I spoke to the gentlemen about my interest he told me to walk around gym to see what I thought and meet him back there to discuss plans. This was the first time Ive been to a gym that didnt walk you around to show you machines and areas. When I did my walk around I asked what benefits over 24 hour fitness did Planet Fitness have, his response Ive never been to 24 hour fitness. In business you should be trained to know your competitor and give key features that helps yours stand above it. I just didnt feel welcome or comfortable so I went next door to 24 hour and received great friendly service, a detailed walk through and just a nice friendly person to talk through options with. Although I am spending a little more, I really love it.

Love this gum. A little small but good. Now that the city is open all the way i hope you go back to 24hours at least Monday.

Visiting from out of town and the staff was most helpful. The locker room & equipment are kept clean. I was able to keep my workout schedule even while out of town. Would definitely recommend this place, I went early and had no wait.

The staff are great. The dumbell area is a bit small but I dont think that people who go to planet fitness really care that much about that. Good spacious area for other kinds of equipment, vast variety of core and stretching equipment as well. Lockers dont require a personal lock, and again the staff are great there.

Good clean facility. My only complaint is no squat racks or flat/incline/decline bench press.

Mostly good. Good variety and number of machines. Staff isn’t terribly polite and it’s busy all the time so it’s hard with covid to feel comfortable going. Wish it was open 24 hour on the weekends cause I work when they’re open. And for a judgement free zones I feel like other members glare at me as I am heavy set. Kinda disappointing but it’s no fault of the gym itself for the most part. Over all worth the money but I do wish it was better.

It’s a really nice gym. Equipment always in good shape and most importantly it’s kept clean. The staff are always hard working and friendly.

The amount of equipment here is awesome, that’s not why the rating is so low. It’s due to the cleanliness of the place. There’s cleaning stations everywhere, but members are expected to clean their own equipment. Not a problem at all, except when you have inconsiderate members who don’t clean up after themselves, and who don’t even wear their masks the right way (over your freaking noses people)! There’s no addressing the lack of member accountability from the staff. They don’t seem to care as long as your barcode checks through. Other than that past the threshold it’s all people with their masks half way down who can’t wipe their own equipment.

Planet fitness is taking care of their members very well during this period of time. Place is clean and great for a workout. Glad to be a member there.

Great place to workout. Staff is friendly. Masks are required but if you need to take them off or wear below the nose, you can, for health purposes.

I started my membership right before the pandemic never once stepping foot in the gym yet they charged me monthly. I tried canceling my membership but they said I had to come in (during a pandemic). You can join without stepping foot in the gym but you can’t cancel unless you put your health at risk. They recently charged me a $40 annual fee and I finally went in and canceled. 3 days later they charged me another $10. These people have no shame. I will never ever be a member of Planet fitness again. Such a shady operation.

Ive always liked this club. Only canceled due to covid. There was some confusion about when I was eligible to cancel my membership because of it being frozen. I guess it added months onto the contract during the time its frozen. I was confused so I had to go in multiple times to try to cancel. They were nice to wave the annual fee so I didnt pay it twice and my last month. There was still something going on with my account in the end but they knew my concerns and canceled it anyways since something was being weird with the system. Shout out to Jacob for helping me get things taken care of in the end!

We came from the McMinnville location and not impressed. Some of the concerns are out of their hands due to covid. It would be nice however if you could reserve your time online instead of having to wait in your car for an hour. But my rating is mostly due to staff. One lady is not only rude but lazy. My husband and I walk in at 630 on Sunday to tan and she says dont you know we close at 7pm? So your telling me I cant tan for 10 min? God forbid you have to wipe down the bed one last time. So not only do I not get my money worth due to long wait times but I have to fight to get in when they are slow too. I will definitely start looking at different locations and gyms.

Always clean area. Staff always has a smile on their face and despite only ever going as guest have treated me as one of their own.

Pleasantly surprised. All of the equipment was high quality and there is a fair amount of legit strength training equipment as well. Its really perfect for all but the professional body builder, and roided out ego lifters. From the complete beginner to the people who have been seriously training for 5-6 days/week for years. Not too crowded when I was there (7:30-9:00 am Sunday morning). I think I have found my new gym home.

I have to give it 1 star for now, through no fault of their own, I guess. Now that theyve reopened, every time Im able to go to the gym, the crowd meter on the app always shows 100% full. With this pandemic, I dont go anywhere where the capacity is full, and I am not about to get up to go to the gym at 5 am when the capacity is at their lowest. And this is the only location nearest me. Ive no idea what to do because I work until 4 pm and I need to work out but its always full. Like me, people want to take advantage of the fact that its open now, but its always full. It really doesnt make sense for me to pay fees for a gym thats too full for me to attend. And saturdays and sundays they close at 7 pm? Im seriously considering cancelling my membership.

They make it very difficult to cancel your membership. So you end up paying month after month because it is difficult to cancel your membership. Because they are closed you can’t cancel. They could make it customer friendly but that would lose them revenue.

My cousin and I were working out at this gym and we had our masks off. The gym manager, Jessica, came over and told us to put our masks on. I complied, but my cousin is almost 9 months pregnant so she refused because the mask severely limits her breathing. After going back and forth, my cousin and the manager decided she will wear it but her nose can remain uncovered. My cousin told Jessica that if she faints while working out, she’s suing since she already told the manager the mask cuts off her breathing. This manager then threatens to call the cops on my cousin, just because she said she’d sue. An hour and half after the initial conversation, a cop arrives and tells my cousin to leave the facility, that she is trespassing. Turns out that the manager terminated my cousins membership (even though the Beaverton location is not her home club). I would love an explanation on why this woman would call the cops on a PREGNANT lady. Why cancel her membership even though YOU AND HER agreed she’ll wear the mask (which she did throughout her workout). We’re not violent, we complied, so why call the cops? Especially an hour and a half later. I’ve come to the conclusion that our skin color had something to do with this. A white woman called the cops on a pregnant black woman and I’m mad. What if that cop was violent towards us? Why waste police resources on two women who would never get violent (especially since one is pregnant). Jessica needs to lose her job because if she can’t handle difficult situations without getting cops involved, then she definitely is not qualified to manage anything, especially something that requires interacting with the public. I need there to be an investigation about this matter. I need this ignorant individual fired from her job because our presence clearly bothered her. Plant Fitness, what are you going to regarding this?

Clean, affordable, great workout options, wide variety of classes, up to date and useful website, and amazing bonus facilities like light therapy, tanning, and massage.

Extremely disappointed this week. In a pre-apolocalyptic world I expect the one thing to be consistent is my gym experience so I can stay fit and in shape for when I need to fight off hordes of the undead or post-apocalyptic mutants when the world officially does end. This is the second day this week where Ive pounded my pre-workout and taken my supplements and driven to the gym only to be told theyll be closing in 10 minutes due to poor air quality. Now in most cases Id say I understand, but theres an Industrial size air filtration and HVAC system equipped in every Planet Fitness as per regulations for being a gym and its based off cubic space and number of maximum occupance in the building at any given point in time. It should be the employees choice as to whether or not they stay or go home in theyre susceptible to breathing conditions such as asthma. However I choose to continue to go to the gym even when air quality is poor to stay in shape, and when paying for a gym membership I expect to have access to it or at least be given a notice when the gym will be unexpectedly closing early due to certain conditions. Ive gotten SMS notifications before from Planet Fitness when gyms will be closed, but not once have I received any information updating me to expect to not have access to the gym at specific times.Still love Planet Fitness, just not loving wasting my gas, time, and money on supplements if Im not going to be able to take advantage of them when I expect to. Bust out some notifications to gym goers when expecting the gym to close early and I will update my review. I watched a minimum of 16 people also show up after me expecting access to the gym only to be told the same thing.

You can work out as long as you dont try very hard.. no noise! and do not bring a gallon of water.. makes you a lunk or lump or whatever they call it. Im not a grunter but I understand why some do

Can’t beat the price. I usually workout at night to avoid crowds and the staff is really nice especially mason. My only small critique is the music can be a little loud so if you like to listen your own music or podcast while you workout invest in some noise cancelling headphones.

Great gym, friendly staff very clean. However taking a star off due to a couple of rule enforcement incidents. Tonight I witnessed a member being asked not to use the large water bottle they had bought with them. It looked to be a 2 quart thermos. This member was not otherwise slamming weights or grunting (apparently this would qualify them as a lunk). The staff member did offer a water bottle from the fridge, but the member simply left. To me this really felt like following the letter of the law, but not the spirit of the law. Hoping to see a little more grace from the staff over rule enforcement in the future.

This gym is clean and organized. Love the crowd meter on the website, and strongly support the new mandatory mask policy. I understand that wearing the mask during working out is not very comfortable, but it protects everyone in the gym from spreading the covid. I feel more safe and comfortable when I see people are wearing the mask when working out. Thanks for everyones effort to create this clean and safe zone.

Worst Planet Fitness in the Portland region. Management is disorganized and completely incompetent. Dont waste your time here - there are plenty of better PFs nearby.

Great time to be working out at PF. Plenty of space between machines, mask/sanitizing stations and policies are working. And, theres plenty of open spots to get a trainer and update your workout routine....get back to the gym....

Been a member for a few years. With the yearly fee included it comes out to like 13 a month. So its a good value for most. The trade off has been pointed out and isnt club specific. More than enough cardio and strength options for the price.

Fairly nice and kept clean. People wear their masks and clean their machines as requested. The only issue is that it can get pretty packed, also the water fountain doesnt turn on. So keep a water bottle to fill, bc thats all they got. I made that mistake and almost passed out. So for the time being of covid, plz bring a water bottle.

No soap in the showers is an insult, somewhat like no toilet paper in the stalls. Ironically, soap would be cheaper than the longer shower one needs to get clean without it. The day I see soap in the shower, this review will change. But more importantly, your service will improve for everyone. This is a common locker room topic, if you werent aware.

Theyre extremely strict and hypocritical about the type of face covering.I get it. Face coverings are required. But when you single one person out for wearing a particular face covering, but then let others slide for wearing the same type is unsettling

I have worked out my entire adult life. Without question, the best gym overall I have ever joined. Excellent prices. Excellent equipment. Outstanding customer service. Definitely recommend it.

I always see staff cleaning the machines thoroughly. They’re always friendly and helpful. Nice views throughout with lots of natural light.

One of my favorite workout areas . Extremely friendly staff on Shift making sure everything is always clean , i never want to leave when i workout , even though some of the local workouters are somewhat judgy its a fantastic location 10/10 would recommend to a first timer .

Great 1st Day, the staff are all patient and knowledgeable. And I felt welcome as a 46 yr old out of shape female. There were all generations working out too from teens to 70 or 80 yrs old. This is a GREAT location near a lovely peaceful pond to walk around, smell the flowers, see some geese and get some fresh air.

Their employees park their cars by the entrance, forcing members to wander around looking for a place to park, the cheap membership can give you an idea of the quality and nature of employees along with members they are attracting, simply you get what you pay for, membership canceled. Update; they emailed me for the fourth time begging me to reenroll, they chose to stay open in violation of the state COVID 19 safety guidelines putting their personal interests before the public interests, so Im not interested in reenrolling.

As always, pros and cons.The price is nice, especially for the perks you get as a Black Card Member! Lots of equipment and is easy to use!However, I wish there was a bigger area for stretching, as I feel like I am always in the way of someone walking by or someone also trying to stretch. I think the biggest downside is I feel like I never have a hot shower afterwards. I don’t even come during the busy times (I come late at night) and no one is ever showering while I’m in the shower so I’m not sure why this happens every time.Otherwise, good gym!

Quality equipment and great welcoming atmosphere. Cant argue with the amazing price for membership. Only thing that could possibly be improved is a space for better group workouts like a studio.

I really like Planet Fitness except for people sitting on the Workout machines Texting and not working out.I timed a few people and some just sat there for 30 minutes texting, as I waited for the machine. I talked to the boys that worked at the front desk and they just shined me on shrugged there shoulders. There is a sign that says no talking on cell phone - most people text. If you can’t go into a gym for a let’s say 30 workout without your phone, that just sad and rude.

I’m an early riser going in around 5:15am. Usually someone at the desk to check me in, but sometimes they are out cleaning—no biggie, although this bothers some.Feedback to leadership:1. Locker rooms seem to be low on priority list to keep up. There are usually a lot of lockers that don’t work, I literally couldn’t use an entire side of the lockers a few times.2. Soap dispensers either out of soap or broken. Just this week the dispenser on far left was busted.3. I’m surprised every morning how many people don’t wipe down equipment after using. It’s actually really bad, maybe this is normal for PF, but I feel like there needs to be some better communication on wiping down equipment after using.None of these are issues that would force me into cutting my membership, but cleanliness in gyms should absolutely be high priority. I always give feedback to front desk, so definitely not being passive aggressive with my comments here. Just trying to help out.

We love going and we try to go 3 times a week. We do the 30 minute circuit. After that we get a massage. I love the hydro bed and my husband loves the massage chairs.

Clean, not too busy and many added incentives to being a member unlike other gyms. with free tanning, massage chairs, hydro massage, and body Enhancement with red light therapy. Not to mention a very kind and sweet staff. Courtney was very helpful in showing me around and helping out thanks! :)

Looks just like every planet fitness Ive been to but it is a good location. There is a ton of businesses near by including restaurants, a safeway, a coffee shop and a barber.

For the very reasonable monthly fee there is nothing to complain about when it comes to this gym. Facilities are clean, open 24/7, friendly staff, and abundant parking.I am happy with being a member here

I have a membership here and just came back to the gym for the first time in a few months and one of the employees was extremely rude and judging me for not going to the gym in a long time. My friend also registered for a membership today and the same employee was extremely rude and even threw a shirt at him and proceeded to laugh and make fun of him when he didn’t catch it. Very disappointed and switching gyms asap

I am getting back into shape from bein seriously hurt a few plus years ago, knee surgeries, OR etc. I joined OF because its a very good deal. Theres plenty of different types of machines and tanning beds, other massage things. Staff are pretty nice, helpful when you need them. The atmosphere is friendly and people do pretty good with cleaning the machines they just used. OF also has a decent selection of drinks and things of that nature. Interesting color scheme that is easy on the eyes. Staff do an excellent job of keeping all areas clean.

Monthly cost is reasonable. Love that I can bring a guest every time for free. Staff is friendly. The womens locker room is always clean. I see the staff regularly cleaning the machines. People are supposed to clean after using, but I see many just walk away when theyre finished. Not cool.

I have had really great experiences at this gym. I always go at busier times, and the workers are very kind and professional. I love the set up and the big windows. They have two wifi networks, so you never really get disconnected. It never gets all that busy, so you dont have to fight people for machines. I always really enjoy my time at this location.

NOT $10 PER MONTH. Charge a $40 yearly non-refundable fee. Yes its in the contract. But how about put that in your advertisement too?Require you to cancel by letter or in person, which is needlessly difficult and exploitative. They could add a simple cancel online option but dont, for obvious reasons.Wanting to cancel my membership today, I look and saw I was charged the $40 fee a few days ago, and they are not willing to refund it even though I havent been using my membership for months.Very disappointing.

I love Planet Fitness. This location has a nice layout, big and square, you dont have to walk far to you next machine, so no feeling like youre on display. They also have the lock-less lockers, which is so handy in case you dont have one, or forget it. The staff is so friendly and happy to answer questions. The shower curtains kinda suck.

Customer service wasn’t helpful at all when it came to general questions about the membership and explained almost nothing. She definitely didn’t help to inspire me to work out there.

Truly a no judgement zone.

The staff is friendly and it doesnt give off that typical hard core gym vibe. Be aware of the freaking Anual fees and penalty fees for cancelling. They really screw you over with those and arent very up front about them when signing up. Each year it rolls over automatically without any communication that they will be charging you another $40 annual fee not including however much you already pay monthly. If I could give any constructive advice, it would be communicating these things with your freaking members!

Overnight policy changed, requiring guest to have an account with personal details and a photo. I politely said Ill pass to the photo and they said we cant let you in without one. Apparently the photos are for safety and security. Why should the guest need all this? Looks like I will need to find a new gym.

I ended up canceling my membership because it was too far out of the way and wanted to join my original gym (for familiarity with equitment and close to work) but if its in the area for you I would def stay there... You cant really beat $20 a month for tanning massage beds and gym... Oh and Robert weasels helped me... Super nice guy and seems very customer driven

The first time I came here I didnt know much about Planet Fitness and was upset because they have no free weights and I couldnt perform cleans, proper squats and other things that require loose Olympic Bars and plates. But I now realize thats just the nature of Planet Fitness. The gym is extremely well maintained with lots to offer for people not looking for what I was looking for and Ive returned many times for the workouts I can perform here. Great staff too!

Pretty basic on the side of other Planet Fitness gyms I have been to. Some of the things I miss from my previous Planet Fitness: getting to know the actual owners who would also work out, anyone over the age of 21 working the front desk, friendly staff.Otherwise if you are looking for a place to zone out by yourself for an hour while you work out like me, this place is sufficient. If you are looking to work out in groups or socialize then just go to the 24 Fitness nearby.

Good gym for a decent price. The finally switched the direction the pec deck is facing so you dont have to make uncomfortable eye contact with someone else using the machine across from it.Still annoyed by the occasional group of teenagers that seem to use the location as a place to hang out. Theyve started to disappear now that the summer is over and the days are starting to get shorter and wetter.The staff that works in the evenings and at night seem to do a great job of keeping the place clean. Urinals in the mens room always have two urinal cakes in them which is a good sign that they keep the place fresh and clean.

Love this place its like my secound home!!! The staf is very friendly and I get to know them by name. This is by far the cleanist gym around!!

Great place to get a quick workout in and the staff is always pleasant and helpful! Not to mention, I have seen them detail cleaning while Ive worked out which I love!

The rate I joined for was $20 a month with no introductory fees. The only means of paying is with an actual account number. Which I feel stupid for even continuing. So $20 is paid upfront and implied from month to month for their top membership. Then the second month came and they charged me $59.00. When I tried to find out why, you have to call individual establishments and the person who answered the phone which was the manager said that was the charge for the year plus month to month. When I asked to cancel and get my money back. They flat out refused and require me to come in person to cancel.... though you can join online... So now Im out $59.00.

Facility is nice and clean, but front desk staff is awful. Extremely rude and demeaning. If you ask a question, they act like you are the biggest idiot, and respond harshly. Very judgy for a Judgment- Free Zone.Management- Dont turn a blind eye on this. Your front desk staff are brats and are going to turn away clientele. Paying a cancellation fee is so much better than walking in. As a customer service position, employees should be friendly. Its not that crazy of a concept.

I work out here often due to traveling for work, everytime I been here 7pm or later always greeted by friendly staff, clean locker area, organized weights, clean tanning booths. I’ve had only one negative experience here and was taken care by quality customer service.

I recently had total hip joint replacement. The manager at my location froze my account & any late fees until I was able to get medical clearance to come back( oct. 10th ) to the gym. He helped me so much. I love mygym, not in the best shape, but no one cares, they dont look at you. This decision I made to join a gym, has been the move Ive made in my life.
