I’ve had Wayne work on a few of my vehicles so far in 2021. My son has had issues with his Ford Focus that another repair shop did not tell my son what was going on at a regular oil change. He fixed the issues on his car and my son feels safe driving it now. He is upfront and honest about what needs to be done and upfront about the price. If your car has many issues, and it’s not worth fixing, he will be upfront about it. He’s not a guy that is all about the money. He’s honest, upfront, and goes above and beyond on any help I’ve asked for vehicles. I drive from Gresham to Beaverton for his services because I trust him. I wouldn’t do that if I didn’t trust the man. I’m picky on my vehicles and he does the job right. It’s good to read reviews but I would call first and talk to him and get a quote and you will see why he has return business. He’s super knowledgeable as well!

Best mechanic around. He helped me trouble shoot the issue over the phone but ended up taking it in since I couldn’t find the problem. Dropped it off and he had it fixed in an hour. Only charged me for the inspection. Very straight forward guy and knows his stuff! Will go here again if needed.

Wayne was very knowledgeable and super helpful! I pulled up midday Friday and explained to him what error code I had just got on my 2004 Tacoma. Wayne knew exactly the system affected and kindly advised me with with a printed written diagram, a part number, and a visual of how to replace a smaller part to verify (being that he was overbooked and a week out).I couldn’t of asked for better service especially just waking in. Nice to find honest help out there! Much appreciated Wayne, and I know where I’ll be back for future needs. Thanks again!

Wayne is actually a true master mechanic.Repairs are done swiftly, and prices are dangerous for any repair shop in the 503 area. He gives it to you straight and informs you on any upcoming issues you might have in the future. I dont know many people who are in this trade as honest and real as Wayne. Hes awesome.

I really appreciated Waynes expertise, knowledge, and ability to explain the problem and my options. He quoted me a fair price as verified by a second opinion on the work that was just slightly, as in very minimally more affordable than his original quote. He agreed to match the price despite him using factory parts and the other shop quoted me on aftermarket parts apparently. He even found a pre-existing issue that we were well aware of but werent ready to or being urged to have repaired, he was actually able to fix that for me as well at the same rate he initially quote and we have had no issues with the car! He was very knowledgeable, accommodating, and a pleasure to work with! Highly recommend Doc Auto.

While Wayne may be a great mechanic, there are some glaring issues with his business. Two years ago, he was arrested for his third DUI in ten years, and subsequently had his licence suspended. Any vehicle he drives is being driven illegally, so beware. As he is the only worker at Doc Auto LLC, If he is pulled over, he will be arrested, and getting your car back will become extremely difficult.Additional, I worked as the Office Manager at this business during the start of the COVID pandemic. While I was able to get two months of paycheck coverage through the Paycheck Protection Program, I would never see a dime of it. I was fired due to a political disagreement, leaving me unable to receive any sort of state or national benefits. Wayne is quick to anger and holds grudges to his grave.Youre much better off taking your car elsewhere and paying a little more, this business will go under at any moment.

Great mechanic , Wayne is the owner/operator and can fix anything, very honest and upfront on the charges , no hidden fees, my go to place for any car trouble

Have used Wayne repeatedly over the years, most recently last week to evaluate and replace a bad bearing on my 2013 Sienna. Always very responsive and trustworthy, his prices have always been very reasonable and he takes the time to make sure he get the job done right the first time. Highly recommend.

Do not go to him he’s very unprofessional I called him to ask him a question he hung the phone up on me he does not know how to talk to people he does not deserve nobody’s service if you can’t have good phone etiquette and respect people on the phone why should you go to this person obviously he does not listen to anybody.

Would never trust my vehicle with anyone else. Brought my vehicle to him due to the A/C malfunctioning. He went ahead and inspected the entire vehicle and gave me a fair price on all repairs needed. Outside of the actual work, he inflated one of my rear tires that Ive been meaning to do, its the small things like that that will keep me coming back for years to come.

My car had a difficult electrical problem, that my old mechanic couldnt solve. I brought it in to Wayne and he was concise and thorough with diagnostics and resolution. And the price was very affordable and much less than my old mechanic would have cost.

Wayne has been great to deal with!!! Absolute above board when it come to giving information on what is wrong with the car, he even took pictures of the problem to help explain what went wrong and what needed to be done to fix the car. I highly recommend Doc Auto, LLC and Wayne.

Most honest car guy out there! Best customer service too! Never fail every time I need car repair he fits us in quickly and fixes very fast! Ive never had any issue with his repairs and he does what he quotes! He stays in constant communication as well! I will never go anywhere else. Those bad reviews have got to be fake!

Wayne has worked on all my cars for the past 3 years and I trust him completely. He is never to busy for my questions, he bills what he quotes, and he never fails to deliver. I get updates as he is making repairs if he finds things that should be addressed, and we discuss pricing and options before he continues. He genuinely cares about what is best for his customers. This is one of the last great old school car Gurus still around.These fake reviews are laughable for anyone who has ever met this man. 11-21-17Had a great experience with Wayne. I was at the end of my rope trying to fix my truck that wasnt starting and he got it back to normal same day. Im seriously surprised there are negative reviews about this place, I will gladly take it back if I have any future issues/unable to fix it myself. Thanks again Wayne!

Great place. The guy knows his stuff, and while he was booked and couldnt work on my car, he took about 4 seconds to figure out what was wrong and told me how to get it fixed for free.

The owner is Rude.

We have used Wayne several times now to fix our vehicles and perform pre-purchase inspections. His services in my opinion are second to none. You will not find a more trustworthy mechanic .

It seems that these days, any angry person with a smart phone and a bad attitude feels they have a duty to deprive hard working people of a living because of some unseen slight. Well, I think 18 yrs as a former award winning sales and customer service manager qualifies me an expert of sorts. My time is so precious that I can only afford to laud those select few who have provided exceptional service. Wayne Harrop has serviced several of our familys cars with unparralelled excellence. And with our hectic schedule, who else would we trust with our precious familys safety but, someone like Wayne who lives by a rarely seen code of ethics and an uncompromising business sense even when its seems inconvenient. I appreciate DOC Autos friendly and honest service, short waiting times, and fair pricing.

I wont be back.Update on 1-16-2020.You are wrong today just like you were when I brought my car in to be repaired. I did come to your shop and you did not find me on Facebook - I am not on FacebookI brought my sons car to this shop in 2018 to have the timing belt and water pump changed. You quoted me a price and offered a free inspection. You took the car apart and told me that the timing belt could not be replaced without other problems being fixed, and charged me $200 for your time, even though you told me that it was a free inspection. I took the car to another mechanic who stated that there were no other problems and he changed the timing belt and water pump and the car has been fine ever since.

Wayne is by far the best auto repair guy! I am a customer for life.

I’m not one to ever take time on giving any sort of review however this is one that I must give in hopes of saving others from headaches and hardship. Like many reviews, stay away from this place. Wayne is dishonest and will lie to you. If you make the mistake of going in, you’ll know right off that something isn’t right with this guy. If this saves anyone from what I went through, I’ve done my part.
