Gators everywhere! At the time of my visit it was $16 for regular entry and $22 for a bag of food and to hold a baby gator! Very reasonable prices. Great staff and they do quite a few shows throughout the day so check out their website! There is a reptile and small animal barn where you can pet or hold snakes and other animals. Very neat place to visit!

Today my family and I visited Gator Country. My son who is 6 really enjoyed the experience. Having the opportunity to touch and hold snakes, lizards, gators, and several other types of animals really captivated his attention. The interns who were working today were very well spoken, kind and accommodating. I found it interesting that many of them were college educated in some sort of animal biology. I look forward to bringing my son back in the near future.

Gator Country has a lot to offer for their price. This place offers many different attractions all themed around reptiles. The best part is that for a few dollars you are given a pack of hotdogs to feed the gators. Long poles with weed whacker string allow you to dangle a piece of hotdog and watch the gators sneak up and jump. You can hold baby alligators and dozens of different kinds of reptiles. Handlers provide direct supervision so this place is safe for children to get up close to many species of reptiles without serious danger. During the tourist season they have a restaurant on site as well where you can eat and watch the alligators watch you!

It was fun! Our gator show was subpar. Granted, everyone was out helping with hurricane Ida. We were actually evacuated by the Army (active military) to the area so came to this place to try to enjoy time away knowing the ruins we will go back to. Definetly should have been a discounted visit due to this but I hope it helps feed the alligators.

One of my favorite places to visit in the area. I got to take my kids and grandkids there recently and they had the best time of their trip. The guides, interns, and other employees are so knowledgeable and enthusiastic, and quick to answer your questions. I love to hear their stories about where theyre from, where theyve been, and their plans for their futures. I could spend all day there. ❤

We loveddd this place and had never been there before we were invited to a birthday party. The party was amazing. The kids got to hold small gators with their mouth taped shut and we could hold just about any friendly animal and interact with it. Animals look very well taken care of and happy. Even after a big freeze in Texas. The interns told us all about how they kept them safe, through all the bad weather we get. They have loads of information and really do a great job at hosting birthday parties and answering questions about the animals. Loved this place! Highly recommend it.

There is a mass amount of gators in several ponds, much more than I expected! Amazing place for kids to go and enjoy the afternoon, especially being able to walk and feed the tortoises. Our 3 and 4 year old had a great time there. The animal feed seems rather expensive, but since the funds go to a good cause, its worth it. The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful.

The girl that was working the front counter at the time wasnt very personable, but we really enjoyed our time! It was really fun to feed the goats and the alligators, which is an extra cost. They have shows, Im assuming that are informative shows about the place. We when we arrived, it was at the end of a show and left before the next one started. Im sure that would make the price a little more worth it. There is also a spot inside that has snakes and other reptiles, that you could hold and pet. There was a volunteer, how couldnt have been more than 13 and kept following us, trying to scare us, which was fun at first and then got a little aggravating. But it was harmless. There is a little snowcone stand which was great. After walking around in the heat and nice cold snowcone is perfect! And you get a little souvenir cup. There is also a souvenir shop.

This was like a dream come true! I have a love for alligators. My collection is huge. This place was the perfect Mother’s Day outing for me. The staff is very friendly, and knowledgeable. You are up close and personnel with the gators. They even have a small pool that you can get in and catch a few baby alligators. You get to do a self guided tour and fed the animals with the food you buy in the front. Lettuce for turtles, dry food and hotdogs for the gators. They do have a small petting area with goats, a indoor exhibit area with snakes and other gators. Snack shack with great snowcones. Definitely the most gators I have seen in one place . I love that this is like a rescues facility, I follow their YouTube channel, they are now at their forever home. You can also pay extra to feed the BIG gators. OMG what a rush that was. BIG Tex & BIG Al are amazing and crazy huge. The one employee Arlie, he feeds them barefoot is pretty crazy as well, he gives wonderful picture opportunities . I be back one day for a AIR boat ride for sure. Gary & Arlie have done great creating this place for these animals

Review №86

The place is very run down and sketchy. It gives me big tiger king vibes. It doesn’t really seem like a sanctuary. The baby gator wading area is not well supervised and little kids are allowed to run through the water and almost trample the baby gators. The babies mouths are taped shut with what looks like electrical tape so they won’t bite. There wasn’t a limit to how many people were coming in so they wading pool was very overcrowded. The ponds where the gators and crocs live are very crowded and the fencing and wood surrounding the ponds is not in good condition. They keep the big gators in small ponds. At the gator show they play videos of snakes killing live mice on multiple screens so it’s not very kid friendly.

This place is the coolest! Located off of I-10, this gator sanctuary allows you to get up close with gators in their appropriate housing. The easter egg hunt proved to be really awesome for adults and kiddos alike. The employees are knowledgable about the gators and very kid friendly! For a fun day with or without kids come to gator country and get away from the hustle and bustle of the big city. The property is very clean. I thought it may have a stench like at a zoo but it does not! It is very pleasant to look and learn about the alligators with no judgment from the staff. They rehabilitate sick and injured gators which will,in turn, live their days out in the sanctuary. Happy animals with people who truly care about their safety.Over all, a great experience and a good, fun day with the kids, outside in nature, away from technology and back to nature.
