This is a great place, the staff is very nice respectful, most of all Dickie did what he thought was best for my truck. Instead of a second hand transmission, he rebuilt mine at the same price. And I like that.they worked with the warranty people , and of course they had issue with the Chinese and some people were out. But it all worked out well highly recommend them

I suffered for 6 months in Texas heat without AC, no one in Beaumont would work on my car and I thought I would have to take my car all the way to Houston. AMCO was my last stop and I’m so glad I was able to get an appointment so quickly . The staff is incredibly sweet and professional and they got my AC working in my smart car in less than 3 days. I am forever grateful for AAMCO!!

I normally don’t post stuff, but I took my truck there for a transmission issue. 3.5 weeks later I get my truck back, we’ll went in for a 10 day check, they found a oil leak around the pan gasket. Went to orange check engine light came on. Went to auto zone the machine said. Needed transmission oil and filter to be changed, duh that was part of the repairs??? Went to the dodge dealership. And they put it on there machine, filter transmission fluid, plus pump showed up. Well 2 different machines same results.. I don’t have a glue want be going there again. I thought they knew there stuff apparently not.,

My service took longer than expected due to unforeseen issues with my model car. The whole time AAMCO kept me informed, they did not give up and return the car as is but stayed on it until the problem was solved. 1 year later and my car still runs great. It would have been easy for them to just say, “well you have a lot of miles and this is what it is”. But, that was not the case. I am very satisfied with the service and professionalism of the staff.I would recommend AAMCO.

Don’t waste your time and money. These people Will miss diagnose your car and over charge you. I recently took my car there they changed the wrong part told me no refund and still want to charge me more money.

This was my 1st ever visit here.. these people are friendly but didnt fix my issues.. same problem upon leaving went to different place after frustration and vehicle is now fixed.. but the front office was the best..

I went in to have my AC checked. They were very professional and knowledgeable. They answered all my questions thoroughly. They explained everything up front and made sure that I was informed with what I would be getting and what they were doing.

Edit: it was under my husbands name. I have no need to call as this was explained after we had shown up to the appointment, not when the appointment was made. Im very well aware at this point and it should have been explained when making the appointment and it was said, Id like to make an appointment for state inspections. Dont worry. We went elsewhere who made it a lot easier.Called to inquire about an inspection and was told to make an appointment. We made the appointment and when we got there, we were told, Oh, no. We dont do actual inspections. What kind of inspection do you think I meant when I called to ask about one?!! Thanks for the waste of time.

This place is great! I have used them twice. They are very professional, honest and fair. I will NEVER use any other mechanic. I lost ALOT of money with others. The problem was still there. Took my car to this place they got right on the job. This will forever be MY 1ST CHOICE.

Still evaluating recent repair...this my second service appointment and I have to say I am very satisfied and impressed.

Took forever to get my transmission done. Delay after delay n then had problems after I left n took back for a transmission check up. Took 3 1/2 hours when was only supposed to be a 20 minutes. Then was charged for things that did not give them okay to do. Then they still never did the check up on transmission n was why I had gone there to begin with. Will never work on any vehicle of mine ever again.

Dickie, Val & all the guys & gals at the Beaumont Texas Eastex Freeway Aamco Transmission & Total Car Care fixed my 2010 Dodge Challenger R/T 5.7L exhaust manifold leak that included broken bolts and a oil / filter change right away. I am very happy with their work as usual and can honestly recommend them for everyones automotive needs. These guys do it all and you can have complete confidence in their work. Very competent and professional Mechanics on the job for you.

They do good work. They are not the cheapest place but you usually get what you pay for so I do not mind paying little extra for great service with a great warranty. I got a great 3 year unlimited mile warranty on a remanufactured transmission. So far the transmission performs like it did when it was new.

Aamco has been an absolute life saver and theres no other way to put it. I had them build a performance transmission for me in my 04 chevy after another unnamed shop completely destroyed it twice. Mr. Dickie, the owner of the shop, went above and beyond to help me to say the least. I will never go anywhere else for transmission work. Period. Ive got a nice project happening this weekend that they will be seeing for sure. 1000% recommend AAMCO for all your car needs.

Terrible customer service! It was just an awful experience all the way around!So do your notes say how I called and called and kept asking for other options but could never talk to anyone who could or would help? I kept being told that my technician was busy and I could call back at the time they said. I did so multiple times. I know what happened to my vehicle. Im not upset it got towed. I am however upset at the total lack of kindness and compassion we received.

I have used this place before and can recommend it....today I went in with a grinding noise ( I thought) in the transmission..After a look, I was informed that is was only a broken heat shield..and could be welded....These people even took me to my wifes place of employment while the work is being done..I can assure you that these people are honest, efficient, and helpful..

Took a little while to get my car fixed but that’s what happens when it’s an electrical issue. They were very thorough and up front on the cost each step of the way. My perception is they take pride in their work. Very easy to talk to and they call you back when they say they will (that’s a big deal for me - “do what you say and say what you do”). I highly recommend them. So far the my car is running great.

Val, Kim and Dicky were amazing. They treated me like family and took great care of not only me but my car! I couldnt have asked to be stranded in a better place! Val got me set up with a rental while they worked on my car and also drove me to the car rental place. Then, when my car service was complete, they happened to be driving to Houston and actually drove my car to Houston so I didnt have to drive to Beaumont to get it! These are wonderful people with the highest work ethic you will find. I cannot recommend high enough for any car repairs!

I called AAMCO transmission to get a quote on changing my brake pads, although they were a little pricey for my and price range I didnt end up going that route they were still so very friendly!! The receptionist, Maison, she called me back two weeks later to see if I still needed them done. Great service!!!

Excellent Service. Courtesy and Respectful as always. Ive been having my car serviced at Beaumont AAMCO Transmissions & Total Care for the past several years. Annually I get my transmission checked and serviced to keep it performing well. But thats not all that this center offers.For example: The day after Christmas, I walked out of Lowes around 2:30 p.m. to discover that my car wouldnt start. With my Bible on my right, I begged God to please get my car started; but, as long as I begged and fretted, God did nothing. So, I phoned the Classic Dealership for help with my 20 year old Century.classic. Now those people at Classic arent interested in we people who drive classics other than burden us with a newer car payment. I was told very curtly that it would be about a week before my car would be serviced with a phenomenal upfront charge. But at least they recommended Chucks Towing Service.I called Chucks and withing 30 minutes in rain, Chuck showed up. While waiting, I phoned AAMCO. As usual, I was greeted very politely and was told, If you can get your car to us by 4 p.m., we can determine the problem and go from there. Well, God had it that Chuck had me at AAMCO at 3:45 p.m. Problem confirmed: Century needed a new fuel pump. Also discovered was a problem with one cylinder.Nevertheless, within two days all repairs were made. I received a life-time warranty on my fuel pump, and also noticed a luxury that I had been without for several years: a working gas guage ! Had an issue with lack of power at times with my 2015 Encore. Took it to AAMCO and they determined it was a random short and replaced the coil. I dont put many miles on the car, everything was fine for a couple of weeks until it did the same thing again. Took it back to AAMCO to find that the part was defective. AAMO replaced the part with no charge. It is working fine. Very curtious people.

This place is not open to the public on Sat. as posted. (I WISH 😣) When I called Sat. morning, the owner answered and said, We are only open for emergencies, (whatever that may be). Then asked why I was calling and I told him I was hoping to be able to pick up my vehicle. He then replied, Nope, were not open! We re-open Mon. at 7:30.😆 Besides that, the staff is very nice and professional. They do great work and doesnt stretch out the time it takes or the price either. Definitely found my mechanic in Texas!

New battery and brake job - the technician did a wonderful job and my Tundra brakes smoother than it did when new. Helpful front desk staff and outstanding owners, they communicate well and are honest. Been having my vehicles serviced at AAMCO for at least 10 years on at least 6 occasions and have always been satisfied. Will be going back soon for some preventative maintenance too.

I cannot even describe the amount of respect and trust I have for this repair facility. I bring my vehicle for oil changes all the way up to major repairs. The staff is always courteous and available to guide me through every decision made on my vehicle. They have an open door policy and are always honest regarding any repair. They also allow access to the shop so they can show me what is going on with my vehicle as I like to see things and not pretend to understand what someone is trying to tell me. I also enjoy watching the comradery between the staff and their customers. It always feels like visiting old friends and relatives when I am there. Very professional, not the cheapest but you pay for what you get, certified techs, courtesy calls, 10 day check up after a transmission installation, very pleased with the work and customer service.

Worst customer service. I would nit recommend this place. After the transmission was flooded due to Imelda kept the vehicle 52 days and way overcharge. Finally just picked it up and it still isnt running correctly.

I am a single female new in the area and needed a place to take my car. I started here for an oil change. The customer service was good and what I originally went in for was handled but I had a number of other services quoted. I considered returning for those services until realizing that the most important quote included something I most likely didnt need. When I questioned it they insisted so after a free second opinion I discovered I was correct and in no way needed the parts. I paid about 50% less elsewhere.

So we made an appointment on Friday from Austin to get the trucks carrier bearing inspected and replaced at AAMCO in Beaumont Tx on Monday at 7:30a as we came through on our way home to Georgia. They ordered the bearing so as to have it in stock in case it needed to be changed! I called at 7:30p Sunday night to leave a voicemail message that we were in their parking lot in our camper. The manager answered and told me where I could plug in the 110 ac!! Awesome people!!

I recommend this business...i drive an hour to get to work and the crank shaft sensor went out on my jeep an hour from home..I called several jeep service centers and they were booked for weeks so I call aamco in port Authur...They got my jeep in the same day I called, diagnosed the problem and got it fixed the very next day....Honestly, the waiting room aint much...no free coffee, no games for the kids etc...but GREAT mechanical expertise and service

Im a very happy longtime customer of AAMCO in Beaumont. During the last 5 years Ive brought my 2 cars in on numerous occasions for various repairs and maintenance. What Ive learned is that Dicky, Val, Kim, and Scott are incredibly conscientious and ethical, and they earned my trust from the beginning. The reason for this particular review is that last week I needed a bulb changed out and they took care of it quickly and at a reasonable cost - I probably could have done the work myself but it was easier to call them and set up an appointment for the work to be done correctly. Kudos to the AAMCO crew for being so good to me. Its reassuring to drive down the road knowing that if something breaks (and lets face it, all cars break down from time to time) then I have the good people at AAMCO to treat me honestly and fairly. Car repair can be incredibly stressful and when you have a good shop, you stick with them.

I first came here after doing some comparison shopping and they have been my go-to mechanics ever since. The receptionists are always nice and the mechanics are very professional and sincere. They usually explain the problem in the way that I can actually understand (Youd have more luck explaining how to boil water to a Martian. Im that clueless when it comes to cars). And when they can, they show me the broken parts (just like your cat brings you dead birds. Not sure what they are, but its nice to be able to see what service they performed). I had a major repair two years ago and they always kept me posted on the progress, and actually scratched one of the parts off the original estimate because the part was still working as it turned out. Talk about a no-nonsense service. A+

See my update below: It was my first time there, I called around for cost on changing my transmission fluid. I chose them because they were very reasonable .. I was told $129. When I went to get my vehicle the bill was $219. With a AAA discount.. I asked and was told oh well the labor was on top of that.. Lesson learned!... UPDATE I was happy to hear from Aamaco. Dickie called and said that I was quoted the cost incorrectly and apologized for the error.. He has taken care of the issue, and I really appreciate him taking the time to reach out to me. I will do business there in the future.. Thank you

I had to take the time to write a review and let everyone know what a wonderful experience I had with this business. I had broken down on the side of the road and was getting no help from my insurance company, I limped my car into AAMCO, and Kim and her staff were a blessing from God. They diagnosed my car, let me keep it at their facility while I worked things out with my insurance company, and even gave me a ride to a car rental price. They could have charged me anything and I would have had to pay it, but they charged me a minimal amount. I cannot say enough about their honesty and the quality of their work. They saved the day! In a modern world where customer service usually consists of talking to a computer, this was a breath of fresh air. Thanks!

Called the service center on Eastex fwy on 6/25/19. Inquired about a transmission flush and filter change on a 2016 Chevy Camaro 2SS. I spoke with Ron (I believe was his name). Said he would have someone call me back with a service quote. I spoke with Mason and quoted me $379 for the service. That’s when it got real. No problem with the price and seemed fair. I then asked what type of ATF would be used. “Well sir the quote Ron prepared was for regular ATF”. There was the red flag. I know enough about my transmission to know that Dexron HP is called for the 8L90. So if I hadn’t asked the question this could have potentially caused a catastrophic failure of my transmission. I then inquired about using Mobil 1 LV ATF HP because of the torque converter clutch shudder that is a problem in the 16/17 camaro 8 speeds. “Well sir we will have the technician look at it first then call you.” I didn’t need a diagnostic ran on my vehicle. Just the service I requested. If I could do it myself I would but I have a lift or time off work. I even went as far as saying I would pay more for the Mobil 1. It’s around $99 a case of six. Glad I didn’t use AAMCO. Beware folks and ask questions

First off... 5 Stars does not give this place or the people who run it the credit they deserve. Val, Spencer & Dickie are hands down the most professional, considerate, thoughtful, involved, and just down right nice crew of people Ive ever met. There is certainly no comparison when it comes to automotive service/repair shops. Val is the first person I talked to and when I say absolutely as sweet as she can be I mean it. She paid for a rental for me because of all the trouble I was having with getting my car repaired and also gave me rides to and from rental car places. Dickie her husband was awesome as well. Down to earth and very humble yet knowledgeable about all the inner workings of the business and he also gave me a ride home in his personal vehicle. Last but certainly not least.... Spencer absolutely went to bat for me with the warranty company answered all my calls and questions without hesitation and was very nice and professional. He gave me updates on my cars status and communicated everything. Even if what was going on wasnt very appealing he didnt lie or cover it up. He just told the truth and told me they would figure it out and they did. I cant say enough about a group of people like these. They are as rare a group to find as truth. Im very thankful and appreciative to God that there is a group like this working in the automotive service/ repair industry. I will definitely be going back when a need arises. Even if I had to choose saving a hundred bucks somewhere else Id choose them because there is no one Ive met hands down that compete with them service wise. Received very professional and above and beyond service! I had a check engine light on and came back as a cylinder misfire. After they diagnosed the problem they explained the issue and what it will take to fix it thoroughly. They went above and beyond to get my truck fixed and back to me in the same day. Working well after closing time and still coming to pick me up at my house to take back to my truck. Never had this kind of service at any other shop! Staff was very friendly and they really care for their customers. Not like most shops that are just about making money and thats it. I highly recommend this shop on Eastex Freeway.

My husband had car trouble on his way to work and he could be without his car for the day. I called and Dicky was able to work him in. His car was fixed in just a little while. He was back on the road. Thank you AAMCO and Dicky for being there when we needed you!!

Quick and inexpensive. Broke down in Beaumont, passing through town. Expecting the worst, I authorized a lot but it wasnt as bad as I feared and they got me back on the road just doing what was needed to get back rolling. I couldnt be happier given the circumstances.

Went here to see about why my car was blowing hot air, and then they told me that it was the compressor. It was expensive, but the people working there in the office says, Lets see if we can work with the warranty. That is what they did and it took a while but they worked with the warranty, since all I had was an extended warranty. Once we were done I only had to pay a small amount and it did take a while to not have my car, but once it was done. I can put that AC on 1 which is the smallest amount and I have polar bears in my car that is how cold that thing can get. When I go out and it is very hot outside I can put it on 4 which is the highest setting and then I have to turn it down a bit, and I like it cold. They did a really wonderful job and now I have the car back, all I can say is that they are a great company.

I would NOT recommend this company to anyone! Called and they said I had to make appointment, ok no problem! After arriving 15 min. early, the lady bluntly said you need to fill this long form out! I was shocked to see how long and lengthy this form was!I kind of snickered and said: Im not going to the doctor..she rudely said: NO but your vehicle is!!So I read the ENTIRE LENGTHY PAGE before filling it out and so glad I did..!!First of all its none of their business when I purchase my vehicle and other questions like this one..then had a long non-liable agreement that was in small print that they wanted you tosign...It stated that they were not liable for any damages that may be caused to your vehicle or responsible for anything that may happen to your vehicle while in their personal care or any stolen property out of your vehicle and also it said that if they break anyting, that they were not responsible to fix it and it would come out of your pocket!!After reading this long non- liable agreement..I admittedly told the lady at the front desk,I was not going to have my vehicle serviced here because if they cannot be responsible for any damages that they may cause to my vehicle then theyre not a very good company to be servicing my vehicle!!They wasnt friendly in the office and the lady acted as if she could careless..she didnt even try to apologize!! All I wanted done was to have my AC serviced.. that was it..!!I will never ever use this company and I highly recommend nobody else use them..!!

I have brought multiple care to Aamco in Beaumont and the service has been great with extreme detail given to my vehicles. They have kept me very informed throughout the whole process....I highly recommend.

Broken promises, terrible attitude. Horrible customer service. I spoke with Dickee and his customer service staff - a woman whose name I cant remember. Dickee promised to check up on our vehicle by end of the week if we bring it in ASAP. So we bring it in ASAP. The end of the week arrives and were stuck without an update and paying for a rental vehicle. Customer service said they made no promises and that they have recorded conversations. I told them to go ahead and check the taped conversation, and she said she wouldnt. She also talked to Dickee who said he wouldnt help. This lady and Dickee were very rude, inconsideraate, and just plain bad for business. Dont go here!

Aamco is Not the same.. Had us paying for different things.. Came out of pocket and paid $1000, and the issue was still not fixed.

Hated the service ... slow & got charged 69.95 for a tech to just tell me what was wrong with my car
