Cute boutique hotel in downtown Beaufort on a 2 level motel layout. We stayed in a suite which is two rooms adjoined (206/207) with a queen bed and a sleeper sofa. Staff is nice and the place is clean! Bathrooms are roomy and well appointed! Fridge in room and water is complimentary. Cookies on the door every morning! There are a few things we ran into which were not that good: No sheets provided for the sleeper, the phone was totally dead (and wrong room number assigned to it), no ironing board (we ended up getting a mini board which is rather lame), no safe for valuables, old and moldy shower head that needs to be replaced, weak-security WiFi using an out-dated security protocol, no “do-not-disturb” signs to put on the doors. On their website they brag about providing a Sealy Posturepedic bed but the problem is they are 12 years old and could be better! So time to renew these! Overall a good stay but they can definitely do much better on so many fronts!

This hotel will spoil you rotten. The rooms we beautiful and the bathroom were amazing. The bath tub was my favorite. The staff help me plain a surprise for my husband when we arrived and they nailed it. The hotel was in a great location, walking distance to great restaurants and shops. They have bikes there for us to ride and its been a while since my husband and i have rode a bike but we make it happen. The coffee shop on the corner of the hotel was a plus to our stay. Great coffee! We will be back cause I miss this place already. Thank you for everything you did for us.

We spent a night here last week. We had been camping and booked a room at the last minute. This is an older motel that had been converted. There were a lot of nice touches, a beautiful shower and tub. some things were a bit dated, but overall I would stay here over a chain hotel.Also great location in town with an attached coffee shop that I highly recomend.

3 star hotel with 5 star service! Sheyenne was fabulous and made us feel like family. Someone (I THINK his name was Robert??) helped bring our bags to our room, they delivered cookies daily, and if we ran out of the complimentary Evian bottled water, all we had to do was dial 0 anytime, day or night, and it was delivered in minutes (along with a large bucket of ice). Our room was very clean and the bathroom was huge. Really cool how theyve repurposed this old motel into the sleek, modern design it is today.

The book cover does not necessarily show the AWESOMENESS of this place, on so many levels! Felt as if I was in a relatively high end Vegas Hotel! Great job!!!

Great deep bath and large shower. Wonderful location and staff. Comfortable king-size bed but it makes the room feel very tight. Free parking but no pool on site.

Positive: Near restaurants. Negative: Hallways and elevators were filthy. Noticeable smell of THC in the hallways on our floor. Had to pay extra fee to use the airport shuttle.

Clean rooms stocked with water in mini fridge. Bathroom is beautiful!! Huge walk in shower and large soaking tub. Comfy beds and pillows. The on site coffee bar is very convenient.

Positive: Staff and ladies at the coffee shop go above and beyond to make your stay extra special. Negative: Could not use bikes because seats were rusted and couldnt be adjusted. Other than that, everything was awesome.

We travel to Beaufort often because it’s our favorite place to get away too. We stayed here and we loved it so much. It’s right downtown you can walk everywhere, and you can walk to this historical neighborhood right beside it which we love. There’s also a really great coffee shop right downstairs and there’s a gym. everyone was super accommodating everything was extremely clean in the rooms were wonderful. We would highly recommend it and we would stay here again..

Right in the middle of everything. Perfect for walking to all the waterfront shops and restaurants. Tours all start nearby. Hotel was nice and comfy.

Another great stay at City Loft! I love the soaking tub and my husband loves the rain shower. Plus the steam showers in CityFit! And now City Java has a great selection of wines--I wonder if you can use your breakfast coupons for the wine??!

We went to Beaufort for one night and ended up staying two! The two people who booked our reservations were very friendly and helpful. We were in 208 and 211. The rooms were beautiful and clean. Parking was free. The shower is the BEST!!! The bed was so comfy!! We enjoyed the bottle of red wine that was in our room. The room was very quiet. We didnt hear much street noise during the night. We walked along the river and enjoyed the shops and restaurants. It would be nice if they had an ice machine but we will just take a cooler next time. The room did have a refrigerator stocked with water for us. I cannot wait to go back.

We have never been so disappointed in a place that we used to love. We were booked for two nights and had drive all the way back to Charleston, ruining our holiday weekend. We checked in, completely unpacked, and were heading out to meet friends when the toilet started spewing water out of the tank into the wall. We immediately called for help and turned off the water. We were informed that there was no maintenance person and that they would call him on his day off. After almost two hours of waiting we asked if someone was coming and were told that WE had called the maintenance man in on his day off, as if it was our fault that the hotel didnt have a maintenance man when fully booked on 4th of July weekend!!! We werent comfortable having someone in the room while we werent there and needed to meet friends, so asked to schedule someone in the morning and we would turn the water on and off to use the toilet. When we returned there was no parking. We called and were told that we could park in a random parking lot two blocks away in 100 degree weather. That was the last straw. I waited a week to post this because I assumed that management would reach out to us to apologize, but NOTHING. So very disappointing from a place that we used to love. What kind of hotel doesnt have maintenance available.... Especially when fully booked on a holiday weekend????

If you drive an older car, they look down on you because you dont fit their look. If you are smart, savvy, and good with your money enough to not be flashy and amass a lot of debt trying to keep up with the Jonses you are too wise for this place and their management. A friend who worked there told me this is how they are and I will def not recommend to my friends and family due to this treatment. Sorry not sorry. Character is more important than looks to me.

Im sorry I cant remember his name. Great location, several good restaurants within 2 blocks. Wonderful shower, great bed, comfortable seating outside. Chocolate chip cookies at turndown! Coffee shop City Java on main floor and we received $5 vouchers for each day of our stay. Complimentary bottle of wine and water in the mini fridge. No problems with anything. This hotel has a great future if they keep this up. And room looks exactly like the picture on the website.

We stayed over Thanksgiving during a bike ride across South Carolina and I cant say enough about how accommodating everyone was. This was an amazing stay, the location is perfect: on the main strip, 1 block over from the bay, very beautiful. The room was clean, modern and comfortable. The bottle of wine, turn down service, and fresh cookies were all a nice touch too. Dont forget to visit the coffee shop, they have local beer on tap. We look forward to our next trip to the area and staying at City Loft.

Excellent hotel. Its not a chain so they are very flexible. Great staff. Turn down service includes warm chocolate chip cookies. The AC works great. Parking is close to your room. The hotel is walking distance to the very popular downtown. Reasonable rates for what you get. This is top of the line for a hotel in its class.

DO NOT BE FOOLED, this is no motel, it is an excellently run and well-staffed quality hotel right in the historic district. The room was clean, the water and wine restocked daily, a free evening cookie per bed, and free bike rentals (go hit that trail!) and some coupons for the attached coffee house. Restaurants are outside your front door. The only downsides: parking in the front lot is *tight*, but they do have agreements with multiple lots, and the wifi reception during our visit was poor. They have some rooms with a chair that is a pullout bed if you have kids. Rooms are a bit small, but you are in Beaufort; go outside. VERY PET FRIENDLY, but our room didnt smell like it. Super convenient location. We would stay again, and my wife is extremely picky. We had a first floor room and no problems.

Very centrally located, chic rooms with large soaking tubs and very nice showers. Its quiet and a nice romantic spot for you and your significant other. Its right next to the best breakfast spots and all the downtown shopping and waterfront. I love staying here when we come to Beaufort. Free bike rentals but the tires were flat.

I was offered turn down service, ice delivered, shown to my room, where theres wine available and received a coupon for the attached coffee shop which I used the following morning. City Loft Hotel is a gem in the city within walking distance of everything and I would have no hesitation recommending it to anyone.

In town for a couple days. This place is quiet, up to date. Clean and very friendly staff....wake up and grab coffee on corner. Sit outside and people watch. Definitely stay here again.

This hotel is clean, cool and really well done. We had the BEST service with Manny and Cheyenne taking care of us during our stay. We were traveling through waiting for Hurricane Dorian to pass through. Manny made sure to help us with our very heavy luggage and was so polite and helpful. He made sure to give us the info on the hotel and even walked us to our room. Cheyenne was there in the morning and was so friendly and approachable. She unlocked the bikes for us to take a ride in the morning and was flexible with us when we were unsure of our travel plans. Our room was very comfortable and had a huge soaking tub and a shower. The location was primo, easily walkable to the waterfront, shops and places to grab a bite. There is a fitness centet, free parking and a great coffee shop in the hotel that we were given a voucher to use. We had stayed in Beaufort previously at a certain large pink bed and breakfast down the street and we were not treated half as good. If you are headed to the area, you should consider the City Loft Hotel for your stay!

They are the most judgemental people I’ve ever met. Treats their employees with the utmost disrespect, they will tell you to your face you are trash according to the car you drive. Plus they have bed bugs and roaches. Gross do not stay here

OMG I loved this hotel. It was modern, cute, and best of all had a dope bathtub. Bathtubs are super important to me when I travel, and this was perfect for soaking in, and reading a good book. Treat yourself, and use being so close to everything to wander around. It is a beautiful little hotel, clean, and stylish. The staff was thoughtful and kind and helpful. The little cafe had yummy snacks. I plan to stay here every time I come to Beaufort!

Really like this small hotel. Rooms are nice, had king size bed, very large bath room with huge soaker tub, 4 rain heads shower sprays and a TV in the bathroom. I could have stayed in the bathroom all week. Free cruiser bikes for guest. Chairs to sit outside your room. Coffee shop attached to building and good restaurants all around. Centrally located to walking to dwtwn Beaufort and historic area. Staff are very accommodating and professional. I highly recommend City Loft hotel. I know we will be staying there again.

This place is great on every level. Completely redone, extremely clean and the staff is amazing. We travel quite a bit and are in hotels about 100 nights a year. My gf, who is clean obsessed, said it was cleaner than a Four Seasons.

We have been coming from Charleston to Beaufort for the past 3 years and we have stayed in a different place each time. I can say after our most recent visit we will only be staying at City Loft Hotel from here on out...the staff is awesome and the rooms were updated and nice.

Owners seem to think their 3-star rated hotel can’t have “trashy” cars in their parking lot.

Cute motel style refurb. Great service. Loved the coffee shop and their coffee ice cubes! The steam shower in the workout facility was a solid bonus. Only complaint was hearing people walking on the 2nd floor and slamming sliding doors.

First, let me preface this and say that I have absolutely no vested interest or affiliation with the proprietors of City Loft Hotel. Also, I have traveled extensively in the U.S. and Europe and have stayed at much of the finest lodging available.I live in Charleston but was traveling with a friend to Hilton Head for work. On our return to Charleston, we decided to stop in Beaufort and explore. Neither of us were familiar with the town of Beaufort, nor had friends in the area to make recommendations. We wanted to have a romantic but also culturally enriching day and night, but were at the mercy of the internet and/or driving around seeking lodging for the best rates. We called lots of Beauforts downtown Bed & Breakfasts and other local hotels. While the Bed and Breakfasts while beautiful, they were also very expensive.We stumbled upon the City Loft Hotel, right in the heart of downtown Beaufort. We were immediately greeted by extremely friendly and accommodating staff, we explained our travel situation, and they gladly let us see some of their rooms. The rooms were recently renovated, with a cool modern vibe. There is a large bathtub and shower in the rooms, making us feel like we were at a spa. The hotel staff spent time making calls and looking up local activities for us to do in both Beaufort and surrounding towns. We were given a pass for the nearby Hunting Island State Park, maps, contact information for activities and restaurants, etc. The hotel also has complimentary bikes that they unlocked, cleaned, and had waiting for us to cruise around Beaufort. We were also given a voucher for this great little coffee shop connected to the hotel that had really good coffee and quick breakfast bites. They also have an impressive workout room with steam showers as well.All in all, we were extremely impressed with every aspect of our amazing stay at City Loft Hotel. We have not stopped talking about it since! For the rate, customer service, and luxury experience, this is definitely the best bet in town. This is the only place we will stay from now on in Beaufort!
