Great moving team! We really appreciated Xaviers attention when we were scheduling the move and whenever we had questions. I also thought his website was very professional, and I appreciated the contract we signed - it gave us peace of mind that they were legit. The moving team were friendly, thoughtful of our belongings and worked very hard. They wasted no time loading the truck, driving to our new house and unloading - at first I was worried that since this was hourly they would be move slowly but I can confidently say this seems like an honest business with great employees. I would definitely recommend!For the more premium price, there were a couple hiccups... They were about 40 mins late to arrive and took about an hour longer than we anticipated. They didnt bring plastic wrap for the furniture, but they did have blankets When backing out of the driveway they took down our internet cable with their truck, which was a bummer but not the end of the world. Still had a great experience overall.

Xavier was so helpful in making a stressful move seamless. All of my furniture and belongings were loaded and unloaded without any damage. I was planning on moving a few furniture pieces that are special to me on my own, but he assured me that he would take care of anything and not to worry. I moved yesterday and recommend this family owned business 100%. They were prompt, knowledgeable, professional, and made me feel at ease during the stressful process of moving. In the end, Extra Help Movers did not do my move. Still I have to give them a 5-star review. Heres why.Initially I selected them for my move because they were professional and helpful on the phone. I was especially please with their flat per hour fee. Other companies I contacted had so many possible added fees for variables that I couldnt get even a ballpark estimate, Extra Help Movers provided an estimate based on a reasonable estimate of the time it would take to load, travel and then unload. However, after paying my deposit, I received a call stating additional time would be needed due to roads the truck could not travel on. Extra Help Movers offered to refund my deposit and, after thinking it over, I accepted that offer. My deposit was promptly refunded.I wish I could have used them If I have need of movers again in the future, I will definitely consider Extra Help.

READ this review: I hired this company to move me from Beacon to Albany. I spoke with a man name Xavier who gave me a quote over the phone and sent an email with an estimate. We agreed his team would packing and move my 3 bedroom apartment. He recommended a team of 4 movers for $200 per hour who would have me packed and moved to Albany within 6 hours... hmm suspiciously fast but he assured me he does this all the time. So I hired them. On move day, they arrived without any boxes to pack me up! I had to drive to Lowe’s to buy boxes and tape for them to pack. While I was gone, the started moving my furniture out. When I returned I found my tv broken at the bottom of the staircase and 4 movers scratching their heads. They began to blame eachother when a fight broke out and one of the movers threw his fist threw a glass window pane on my front door! Now this is out of control and when I called to speak with Xavier, his phone just rings. No answer. I proceed to call the police and ask everyone to get out of my house. While the cops are on the way I locked my door and went upstairs to find that my china cabinet door is also pulled off the hinge! So now I called Xavier again to cancel the move and get information to be reimbursed for the damages. No answer. Now the cops show up and the movers are outside saying nothing happened and that they need to get paid so they can leave. When the cops come in, I show them the footage from my ring doorbell and the cops arrest one of the movers for a false claim and assaulting one of the guys and asks the rest to leave. Long story short..... Xavier NEVER covered the damages and never returned my phone call. I was forced to file a small claim at beacon court house and I am waiting to see what comes of it. NEVER use this company. So unethical and unprofessional. The reviews here do not at all describe the company that extra help movers really is. Buyer beware.

Owner Xavier was professional from start to finish , I have terrible anxiety and he handled me crying and me basically having a panic attack the days leading to the move and of course the day of . Always answer my phone calls and texts whenever I had questions , I felt useless and sad the whole day and he came in and got the job done quickly while having so much patience with me. 10 out of 10 recommend . I highly recommend extra help movers. They were punctual, professional and did a fantastic job loading the truck. They have a 20 foot truck professionally loaded and sealed tight within 1 hour. We had a 10 hour drive ahead of us. Nothing moved, Nothing broke. Will not hesitate to hire them again, if needed.

What would of taken my boyfriend and I all day, and probably some bickering, took 2 guys 3 hrs! These guys came on time, were polite and very respectful of me, and my belonging. They packed the truck up really well, even called and got some furniture pads, because I didn’t have any. Then unloading, they wasted absolutely no time. Moving a large truck full of stuff up a super steep hill. Hiring these guys was the best decision for my move. My move day was all about setting up, because of all the time and back breaking labor saved. Highly recommended.

The guys showed up and helped me download a 26’ truck quickly and efficiently. Nothing was damaged during the move and they lifted some impossible furniture piece up a tight staircase to the 2nd floor. There’s no way I could have made the move to NY without their help!
