Am very pleased the way Chris completed my heating/furnace maintenance. He was on time, explained what he was doing and how well my furnace was working. Took his time in cleaning the furnace and checking all its parts. Showed me how to replace the furnace air filter, and told me the exact part numbers that I have to look for when purchasing a new filter. Explained the terms of my service agreement, when that will have to be renewed, and when to schedule my next maintenance/service call for my air conditioner and furnace. Chris did an excellent job.

The epitome of good, old fashioned honest service! They do not try to sell anything, instead they do their very best to work with what you already have. In other words, replacement is their very last option. I had another company out who told me my 4 year old furnace needed $1700 worth of work that probably wouldnt last so I should just replace the furnace for $6k. Kern came in, tuned up the unit, told me to simply replace the filter and were all good - all for $79!!! Before this house, they also went out of their way for us to keep a 20 year old mobile home furnace running far beyond its lifespan. I will never, ever use anyone other than Kern!

I cannot say enough about this company and Chris Jewell! He was so extremely helpful and informative. When you think you might get possibly get taken of by a company, you can absolutely trust this company. I was given options on how to fix my A/C and the overall condition of my furnace and A/C. I was so very impressed on every level. Wow!

Maintaining appropriate Covid restrictions and safe guards the team arrived early wore masks and shoe guards. The work was completed efficiently with surprisingly minimal noise. The workers explained everything-asked if we had questions and cleaned up.

Our air conditioning failed on Saturday afternoon of July 4, 2020. I called 2-3 places in our area only to realize that there was a serious premium placed on holiday service. So we waited until Monday morning and looked on the web for h.v.a.c. companies in our area. I called another 2-3 companies and for one reason or another did not accept them. I then called Kern (next in the alphabetic listings!) who said there would be a fee for servicing the call, and then labor and product costs on top of it. We were at that point on our 3rd day without air conditioning, the high temp in each day was in the mid-nineties. All that said, at 4 pm Chris arrived, within the time he said he would be there. He checked the problem, checked our heater, addressed the probable (a sill damned capacitor), fixed it, tested the Freon level in the unit, and gave a general checkup to the unit. All seemed well. He was knowledgeable, clearly drenched from the heat, but willing to help in any way he could. I awoke this morning to a cool house. The pricing in this industry seems pretty high, but when you need it, you get it! Kern seems to me to be a good company. I will use them if needed.

Dan, my tech, is always on time, does great work, is courteous and considerate. Always a pleasure to have the same person at each visit. Makes for a good comfort level. I get their Gold package which saves me money. I recommend Kern Heating & Cooling whenever I have the chance.

Our air conditioning system went out on Tuesday night. On Wednesday morning I called Kern and Brent was able to come out at 1:00 on the same day. Our unit was fixed in about an hour. Brent explained the issue clearly. We really appreciate the excellent service.

Thank you all at Kern heating, I had a unfinished heat and air replacement that was started by another company Nov 1st 2019 the furnace was installed and the a/c was to be completed once the temperature was above 65 deg. I called that company often since may 21 and have been given the run around. So I called Kern heating they scheduled a appointment promptly, came out quickly , followed up with a estimate of what needed to be done , thoroughly explained everything I accepted and shortly thereafter called with a appointment for the work to be completed. And all was completed in a reasonable time.everyone was polite , professional and made sure that all my questions and concerns were addressed. Thanks again. Still havent heard back from the other company.

I appreciate the service I have always received from Kern. Todays service was excellent. I was asked if there was an entrance they could use without coming into the house. They explained what they were doing. When the vent cleaning was done they cam to the front door so we could settle our bill. He explained what he was going to be looking at. Didnt take him long to find out what the problem was.He then told me what my options were. I was totally impressed by this young man from the minute I meet him. Sergio is an asset to Kern Heating & Cooling. No question, I will use them for all my heating and cooling problems.

Brent Snow was excellent rep from Kern He took time to explain the present status of my cooling equipment, things that could be future problems and how clean and well maintained my condenser unit was. He gave approximate prices of parts that may require replacement and cost for a total replacement of my 25 year old unit. He was courteous and thoughtful on how he entered the house and did his work. I was very satisfied with his effort and his ability to let me ask questions.

They suck, wouldnt answer the phone when I had an emergency. I had bought a brand new heat and ac from them and this was the 1st time I needed them. Luckily Pierson Heating and Cooling came to the rescue 8 ° Christmas Eve day at Midnight, unbelievable, The owner himself showed up and wouldnt charge me for service.

I was in this business for over 20 years and recently retired and not able to do the work myself due to health issues. Also recently moved north to Zion and wasn’t sure about the companies in the area. After reaching out to some old friends and associates, they recommend Kern Heating and I’m so glad I gave them a call. My furnace was on its last leg, it was old and need to be replaced. I called them on a Tuesday and a representative was here the next day and thoroughly went over everything. Two days later they were here at 8am to start the installation. Very professional and knowledgeable, great job all around. For anyone reading this, I did check on the company and their prices on what I was getting before I said yes and found mostly high reviews. Only downside is that they only sell the Lennox brand which isn’t a bad thing but not many choices. Their prices are comparable if not better than other companies in the area. Again, I’m glad I chose them. Great experience!Thank you Kern!

My 22 year old furnace & A/C units died & I went with Kern because I like to patronize local businesses, as I feel you get better service. I was NOT wrong. From the person who did my consultation to the office staff who helped me to the men who did the installation—everything was seamless. There were some unexpected issues the installers faced but they figured it out, staying 11 hours until it was done. Could I have paid less elsewhere? Maybe, but I doubt I would have been taken care of as well as I was. A+++
