I have just received the worst service that I have ever been exposed to by a retail company in my entire life.Mr. Ty Smith decided to call me( a representative of the customers they would be providing business to, and start to yell and belittle me. The contract was mailed out to us on March 29. We then in turn sent in a vendor packet to this company state information what we needed to provide payment because we are a charter school we don’t have a credit card that we can just swipe. 8 days before our event he states that he “shouldn’t have to fill out all of this paper work” which was 4 pages. I tried to explain to him that we would have their payment upon arrival. Which was planned. He talked over me the entire conversation and then when I asked “could I speak please” he stated very boldly “NO you cannot speak”!Is this how we treat customers in 2021? I am a person a human being and despite “Olinde being burned by other charter schools” that has nothing to do with the customer that is in front of you now. I WANT TO SPEAK TO THE OWNER! I will not rest until I do! I am sooooo disgusted and disappointed because I’m new to working in Baton Rouge from New Orleans and this is the welcome I get! No unacceptable! I will blast this, my friends will blast this. This business doesn’t need a Ty Smith.Mr. Ty, I want you to know you were not speaking to any old woman, you belittled and yelled at a Mother, A wife, a social worker, an advocate for her community and most of all an EDUCATED Black Woman!I will add that Ms. Monique Broussard was very polite and apologetic for his behavior as she was sitting right next to him hearing it all.

Our company Flare Event Design has been doing business with Doug Olinde, LLC for the past several years. We decided to contact them for an upcoming Sweet 16 for a young lady that was diagnosed at birth with Craniofacial Syndrome. The doctors didnt expect her to live beyond 3 months but with Gods grace and strong supportive parents she celebrated her Sweet 16th surrounded by family, friends and even some of her doctors. When I contacted Doug Olinde, LLC I told them about the young ladys story and that we wanted to make it really special. They immediately said yes and donated us 80 of the beautiful chaivari chairs that helped make the party amazing. Needed to get a tent for our wedding to put outside...both Ty and Monique were easy to work with and handled everything for us the day of. I would recommend this company to anyone planning an event.

It was hot, off the beaten path, and last minute but these guys pulled it off. I ordered outdoor AC units and fans from them to make sure my sister-in-laws cake (and guests) didnt melt during her reception. Everything worked wonderfully and I could not have asked for a better experience.

Walked in expecting to be upsold. Kevin got me a better deal than expected. Understood completely what I was looking for.

Delivered and set up on time! Everything as expected. Very friendly and laid back people. I made many last minute changes to my plans/order and they just rolled with it. They offered great advice and suggestions on set up.Very responsive to concerns and questions. Would definitely recommend!

I cannot say enough good things about Doug Olinde and his staff! We rented tents, lights, chairs, dance floor, fans, table and tablecloths for our daughters outdoor wedding in mid September. Between hurricanes and extra guests putting a few kinks in our plans, Doug and Monique reassured us that last minute changes would be no problem. When we had a couple of minor issues (one of which was our own fault) repair people immediately made the 30 minute drive to Prairieville and quickly resolved our problem. The crew that delivered and set up were friendly, prompt and efficient. Their flexibility made wedding planning a lot less stressful.

Ever since this company was sold and new owners took over it has been such wonderful place to do business with and I hear working there has improved as well.

The whole Doug Olinde crew made me feel so comfortable for my big day. From meeting with Marcus in the beginning and getting the right size tent and dance floor and picking the amount of chairs, tables, linens, lighting and etc that would be needed for the space to the guys coming out to my moms and setting everything up. Everyone was so professional and definitely accommodating to every little need of a rather stressed out bride. I couldnt have asked for more. Yall made my wedding so gorgeous with everything yall did, I am forever grateful and refer yall to everyone I know getting married or having large events.
