I love my therapist. She, Ms. Mills, is real and listens. I appreciate that I don’t feel judged and feel like I can be completely honest with her.

I called to make a new patient appointment and was given some options for a telemedicine visit. The appointment process was pretty easy. They verified my insurance benefits and we were good to go. I saw one of the PAs, Ashley Mills. The visit was timely, thorough, and all of my concerns were addressed without much pressure. I would definitely recommend this provider to other patients.

I cant rave enough about nurse practitioner Celeste Lewis and the practice manager Candice. They are the key reason I am doing so well, especially seeing as how I am juggling raising five children, starting a new business, and dealing with past trauma issues that pop up randomly as life usually does.If you want a confidant, caring, thorough, knowledgeable place and person to oversee your mental health then this is the place for you. I recommend no one else . They go above and beyond for all their patients. Its always been a good experience and I hope they never leave.

I spend more than my fair share of time in doctors offices. I had my first appointment scheduled for today at 1:30. Due to driver coordination, weather and traffic, I didnt arrive until 1:31. I was told that I had used up some of my appointment time and still needed to fill out paperwork. The clerk did not think there would be sufficient time to complete everything in my time slot of 15 minutes. In fact she has to check to see if the NP would even see me at all. Im sitting here in the waiting room in my wheelchair and no one else is waiting and no other cars in the lot. Finally the clerk comes back and says that the NP will see me but only up to the 15 minutes scheduled for me. I tell the clerk that this is ridiculous, and she comes back at me with if you were more cooperative all this would be easier. I replied that I was being cooperative, she slammed down a clipboard and pen and sid fill this out, and let me see your insurance card and ID. I am disabled unable to hold a pen or a clipboard, so I left. How many times have any of us had to wait on doctors and other health professionals because they were running late? This was the worst customer service I have ever experienced and do not recommend anyone to go here for treatment.

Absolutely the WORST doctor I ever had. I told Dr. Higgins that I was having suicidal thoughts and had been considering an attempt and not once did he look up from his paperwork or even acknowledge what I had said. He doesnt care about people, he only wants money. A few months after that I did attempt it. He also just asked what I wanted when I went to see him. Like, I came to see you, obviously I want help and youre the professional here, are you REALLY asking someone who doesnt have the schooling and degrees you do to TELL YOU what they THINK the problem is? He never diagnosed me with anything and just put me on the medication I told him I had used in the past. Im convinced that if I told him I wanted medicine to get high off of he would have given it to me. He never listened or acknowledged what I said. He just scribbled on papers that had nothing to do with me. There are MUCH better doctors in Baton Rouge. Find one that cares because you definitely wont find one here.Oh, and by the way, I DID try to work with him and told him absolutely everything. He didnt acknowledge that I was even sitting in front of him during any of the times I saw him. It was like I wasnt even there, and the paperwork he was filling out was not for me. I dont know what it was for, but my paperwork would have my name on it and nothing he scribbled down had anything to do with me or what I had been saying.

It’s been a while since being a patient there and the last time I spoke I called to make an appointment and the front desk named Candace told me that if I was to make an appt I would have to have the amount I was behind for them to see me and I never once payed less than was told to pay I then told Candace that I believe she was mistaken and she told me that I never had the money I was supposed to and I asked to speak with the manager she said she was I asked to speak with the owner she said she was and I told her I wanted to speak with someone that could verify this and she told me I was never allowed on the premises and hung up on me I called back and asked for her to give me the paperwork saying I owed anything and she said and I quote if you never call or come up here again I’ll wipe away this debt and I said I have no debt but put it in writing and I’ll accept that and she said no and hung up again. Candace is a terrible receptionist and a horrible customer rep for that company and I think it should be closed down

I love Doctor Lewis and will follow her anywhere. My problem is the women in the front. They make me feel as though I am bothering them. The blonde woman always has an attitude and I have left crying many times because of her. If it werent for doctor Lewis I would never come back

These people could care less about you, they only want money...Be very careful, if you arent crazy before going there, you will be. Do your research on what they are prescribing.

Scheduled an appointment at 11:30 and showed up at 11:34 and the doctor went on lunch. Never once called me. Then I was told I can wait or reschedule... But when asked how long her lunch was, the receptionist said she didnt know... Very unprofessional. Not to mention, this is the second appt this week as the doctor decided to switch my medication, which I am fine with, but if I need a follow up two days later, you should be there.

I have to jump through hoops to reschedule an appointment with these people. I left two separate voicemails on two different occasions letting the front office know that I need to reschedule. I FINALLY got a hold of someone who had the audacity to have an attitude, she told me if I dont give a 48 hr notice theyll have to charge me. Well, honey, I cant even get in contact with any of you prior to an appointment, Im not going to be charged for your incompetence. I called and left a voicemail on 4/3 and also 4/26, I have the phone logs to prove this. She proceed to tell me she writes all the messages she gets down and gives everyone a call back, which is bull. Were already off to a bad start and I havent even been there yet, I left my last psychiatrist due to issues like this (and other issues) where the front office staff cannot seem to get anything together. The only good thing about this place is Celeste, I absolutely love her and when I move to Houston I know I will find no one like her and that’s disheartening.

Very poor care and customer service. Celeste Lewis speaks to patients with snarky, sarcastic remarks and office staff is aggressive and dismissive in responding to complaints. Find better care elsewhere.

You can get an appointment set up pretty quickly here. I scheduled something within 2 weeks of my first call. Ive never had to wait in the lobby for more than 5 minutes if Ive shown up 10 minutes earlier than my appointment time. Definitely check out their website regarding late fees, and for other information. In my experience, you have to advocate for yourself and your health here or your appointment is going to be very impersonal and quick and youll be left feeling confused. Dont let the doctor usher you out the door if you have questions about your medication or need to clarify your symptoms or story. If they dont ask you what your priorities, tell them. For example, my priority is getting my work done on time and my inability to meet my deadlines is disrupting my life. They might get the message, but take care to communicate to them that you are taking your health seriously and want to correct some problem.

I have been patient of Dr. HIGGINS going on five years. He listens and when some say he is always writing and not paying attention/doesnt care I strongly dissagree. Dr. Higgins has to write down everything that is goimg on with the particular patient if.he didnt I would be a little weary. I go to his office explaim to him how the medications are helpimg or hindering my journey. He only can take what imformation you give him and begin to help/treat you . I go tp Dr. Higgins to.improve my well being (especially after major health concerns) which means beimg honest with him so he can work with me and hopefully in time I will be back to who I know I am and can be. My point I am getting toward: you go and dont disclose the truth what good is that for you; you are just prolonging whatever aspects/issues in your life that could be worked on sooner than later. Dont miss out on life. Dr. Higgins works with me and I highly respect him as a psychiatrist.
