Called and a very polite young lady took my information. I later called back for an approximate time for the officer to be at my home. She looked it up and contacted the officer. He called me and when he took the dog was so kind to me and the dog. Very, very nice and professional. I believe his name was officer Jackson. Thank you for being a compassionate person! A+ experience.

I called 5 times on a house in my neighborhood that had 3 huskies outside in middle of summer time with no water. 3 other neighbors also called and thats just that I know of. The would chain these dogs up so close to a pole they couldnt even lay down. Animal control did nothing. They allowed them to keep their dogs like this. Literally with their necks chained to a 2 inch piece of chain with no shade and no water. Thats beyond cruel. They finally moved, with their dogs because they were never taken from them. Sad.

Called animal control to tell them that a raccoon came sick in my yard with foam in his mouth and died. I told him it looks like he could have had rabies. They tell me to discharge the body myself instead of coming to get the animal. They are not here to protect the community like they claim. Lazy and worth nothing we pay for...smh

Been having a unpleasant issue with a neighbor and their Oversized unsupervised Dog (pit) for over a year. Every time I call it’s like starting over with them. To say the most when I was hurt because of the animal being unsupervised by his owner the BRAC took the dog. Did a report which was never filed and they gave the pit back without notifying me. Now I go to the doctor and the dog still runs the street without a leash! The Mayor will know about this!!!

They are nice and helpful when you call. I have had an ongoing issue and several neighbors have the same issue. No matter how many times you call its as if you are starting all over because they are not aware of anyone ever having an issue. I dont know how they track complaints or log calls but its not working. They could reduce their own workload with just a little record keeping. Typical government run office in Baton Rouge... Good people with no leadership or proper resources to do the job.

I called EBR animal control after finding an injured bat in the sidewalk. The operator who took the call was very kind and said someone would be coming soon to take care of the bat. To my surprise they arrived in record time and were very professional. Thank you!

As many of us walk and ride our bikes to get that much needed exercise, we shouldnt have to fight off the neighbors unrestrained vicious pet. Thank you EBR Aminal Control for your timely response.

Everyone was super nice. The place was huge and someone actually took the time to walk me thru to look for my lost dog. The place was so clean and no unpleasant smells the cages were clean the animals had food. One whole section was having YARD time! There were people everywhere walking the pets. It wasn’t a sad place like some I eve been too

I volunteered here for a year and thought it was wonderful that they trusted me to freely walk dogs and socialize them. The vet seemed pretty caring and would sometimes ask me to do things like brush those with matted fur who were suffering from the heat or make a box so a cat would feel more comfortable while in a cage. I stayed away from the euthanasia room but it didnt seem like bunches of animals were euthanized indiscriminately, which is a big plus! The people were nice enough and would ask me to show animals so theyd get adopted more easily. I wouldve probably worked there if asked. Which says a lot IMO!

They were very helpful. I had a feral cat that had bee hanging out at my home for months. It was finally trapped and taken away.

The woman I spoke to was very helpful & courteous- response was very fast-the man who came out was very pleasant , efficient & treated the little sick raccoon with compassion

Called to request pick up of a stray cats near my home. I was told to come pick up a cage for $40 and capture the cats and then they would pick up the cage. I was also told they would reimburse me after they pick up the cage or I could bring it in with the cats and whatever else it may catch. This is not good service. Why dont the animal patrol rode through neighborhoods and pick up stray animsls? Now, three of those cats has had kittens and we have cats in our yards. I have back trouble and knows nothing about setting a cage,plus I would need more than one cage. I have no money to pay for cages and then wait to get it back.

Hate that dog catcher took my dogs out of my yard and transported to CAA. I was charged to get them back. Speaking with dog catcher and supervisor did absolutely no good.

This is one of the best animal controls that I have EVER seen and we travel the country .. very nice people in all departments kind to the animals and a NO KILL SHELTER PERIOD ...

Very helpful in finding my lost/stolen dog.

Tried very hard to get some help, but was told to call back tomorrow. I asked if the could take the complaint and deal with it “tomorrow.” After telling me three times that they were short handed, I told her that the time she spent saying no and explaining, she could have input the data. She was extremely rude and unprofessional and eventually hung up. I wonder if Mr. Hilton Cole knows that this is how the public is being treated, from his department!

Every time I delt with them wether it was in person or on the phone they was rude and disrespectful.They also never show up until a day or 2 later.

I tried to call to make them aware of a cat that got hit so it would be picked up but there are so many extensions you cant get in touch with anyone. Its like they dont want to be bothered with any calls.

I regarding a raccoon and received a reply. I have the number to call and will make contact this week. Thank you.

Blonde haired woman locked the door in my face, yelling we are closed out the door. When I asked her what I was supposed to do with the four cats left in my car by an uber passenger, she said we are closed again. Then made the comment its illegal to dump animals. I think its kinda funny that she should close doors on door animals that have no home or food... and prevent me from going home to hungry two year daughter, while telling me about illegal or immoral activities. You probably shoul find better quality employees to better represent your company. She could have simply said call this number...

If I could give a ZERO I would! I just spoke to SUSAN at EBR Animal Control regarding the stray cats that are in the apartment complex where I live. This woman offered NO help! She said that I could get a trap from them. I asked that a trap be dropped off at my apartment. This woman told me Youre not disabled. You need to pick up a trap from us and we dont have any available right now. How does she know my physical condition/limitations???? She also said that when/if the cats were trapped I could sign a no return so that the cats could not be re-released in the same area. First of all... DO YOUR JOB! You are being paid to catch strays... not me. When I told her that the EBR Animal Control was sad and not helping the community she hung up on me. Thats REAL professional.

Didnt seem to care about the animal in need. Didnt answer their phone. Acted like I was a bother for contacting them about an injured, scared, dog that was missing from home.

East Baton Rouge Animal Control claims they have a policy against accepting out of parish animals as the owner may be trying to find them, however, for a fee, they will take them. Sounds unethical to me. I repeatedly asked for the Directors name and the supervisor told me to look it up on the website.

These ppl DO NOT pick stray animals that are roaming the streets they only pick up animals that belong to ppl. Why....because its all about money. Why would they pick up an animal no one cares about! No one is going to pay for that animal. Instead they only pick up animals that ppl care about that they know the owners will pay whatever to get them back. There is a word for that! Oh and dont even start talking about the organization they turn the animals over to....Companion Animal Alliance!!! They are even worse! Both of these organizations only want money!

Took my Bruder hen and left the babies to fend for themselves. When I called and asked why they didnt take the rest of the chickens he said he couldnt catch them. So he just left my other 5 alone and the 2 babies were left to by themselves. Then told me for $40 I could get her back. I can buy a lot of chicks for that.

Wouldn’t work with us at all. Trapped a raccoon and then wouldn’t let sub licensed volunteers pick it up on a Friday at 3:45. Would rather put it down than hold it over night so we could get it.

Everyone there is very rude and lazy no one wants todo there job they love hanging the phone up on you and try to put there job off on other parishes and the local police when in fact there animal control and its there job its very unfortunate my tax money and everyone else that pays taxes pats there salary dont waste your time calling them or wasting your time I hope the government closed this agency next they are a waste and u needed
