Best blades

Have been dealing with Dons Sharpening for 29 years. Extremely helpful, fair and honest. I have purchased weed eaters, leaf blower, chain saw, and a lawnmower there with no problems. They sell only quality items. Unlike the big box stores that sell the same name items of lesser quality. Ive had blades sharpened for my lawnmower and for my ice auger. Excellent job done. There service and quality is top notch. Bottom line is you get what you pay for.

Ive been a customer for the past 15-20 years. Theyve serviced lawn mowers, snow blowers and even a leaf blower. Straight forward and honest.Once (about ten years ago) they did a repair on a older mower that was really on its last leg. They took a shot at it - and it didnt work. Jerry said he wanted to try one other thing on it. After he worked on it the mower lasted another five years.Sometimes you only find out how good a shop is when you get a chance to see how they deal with a problem. Ill never go anywhere else

I received a freebie hand-me-down snowblower this fall and it needed work. Dons was recommended by a neighbor. I called to schedule a snowblower service. They offered to pick up and drop off for a fee, which was appreciated. Upon pick up I asked to be made aware what needed to be addressed so I could decided if this freebie was worth it. I travel for work, was out of town, and 4 - 5 days after they had picked up they called the house, spoke to the wife, and said they were dropping it off. It got dropped off and I was told I would be sent an invoice for the work. Invoice received in about 2 days and was reasonable: $60 for p/u&d, list of repaired parts, labor, all itemized and was about $250 all in. Although I was put off by not being told the costs, I considered it fair and put it in the to be paid bill pile as it was a net 20 day invoice.. I filled the tank full of fresh 89 octane gas as recommended. A week went by and needed to move the snowblower, I noticed it was leaking gas, was very hard starting (with an electric start no less) would not idle, surging at 1/2 throttle and up to full throttle, died on me a couple times. I called Dons said Id like to pay the invoice but the snowblower does not run correctly and when can you look at it. Immediately the accusations start about not buying the correct gas, where i bought the gas, it ran great when it left here, etc. I convinced them the come out and look at it and was told around noon Saturday. Saturday noon came, then 12:30pm, we called and Dons they closed at noon. OK, maybe he is coming on his way home. 1:15pm we finally got tired of sitting around and called one last time to tell them thanks, but, no thanks and we are not paying.Id go elsewhere, as I have.

Bad people if you business owners have a shop near them they will park on itif they do have it towed
