If you are considering seeing a therapist, even if you dont think it will help, I would HIGHLY encourage you to make an appointment with Paula at C3 counseling.I met Paula before she opened a private practice for assistance with my then 7 year old daughter. Counseling for my daughter turned into family counseling after a marriage as we were all trying to find out new roles within the family. I went to see Paula again for personal counseling. I am now seeing Paula for marriage counseling.Paula does not tell you what to do, she does not judge nor place blame, and she doesnt just sit there listening while you talk. It is a conversation, often it feels like Im out to coffee after a long week catching up with a friend. When I leave after our meeting I have a goal, or a path for the week that I can work on. This is what I believe creates progress. Sometimes I feel she learns from me the same as I learn from her. Different points of view, and ways of seeing the world.I encourage you to pick up the phone and make the call. If its not the right fit, you will know, and she will tell you. She will also recommend someone else who may be the right fit. Paula is love, and light, and encouragement, and the light that you cant always see at the end of the tunnel. So go - even if its just to placate someone else. Go - even if its just for parenting advice. Go - even if its just to learn how to talk to a co worker, a husband, or a friend. You wont regret it.
