From purchases, to repairs to cleaning I’ve always had a pleasant experience. Josh, Mary Jane and Paul provide the type of customer service you won’t find at a big chain, department or online store. Unfortunately my wedding ring needed repair shortly after purchase. Not only did they work quickly to have it repaired, they went above and beyond to ensure I was satisfied. Only the type of experience I think you can have at a local family owned business who cares about their community!

My husband and I took in my engagement and wedding band to get soldered. When I called to check on my ring, I was surprised to learn they shipped it to Boston for the work. My ring was left to me by my mom and holds sentimental value. Had I known the ring would be shipped, I would have waited to solder the ring until after the holiday craziness. The pandemic has caused so many issues with shipments and such that I became panicked. Luckily, the ring arrived safely and looked perfect! When I explained to the jeweler why I was initially frustrated and scared about the ring being shipped, she responded defensively. Rather than understanding where I was coming from, she provided reasons for having not provided such important information in the first place.Overall, the quality of the work was great! Just disappointed with how the jeweler handled my comment and concerns.

I had been shopping for a ring for my husband for several months and had most of the day in Barre waiting on car repairs. After reading the other google reviews I decided to check them out.It was easily the best and most relaxed jewelry buying experience I have had. I have bought jewelry from many other well known jewelers in VT, and my experience here was by far the best.There was absolutely no pressure, no trying to steer me towards more expensive things that didn’t meet my needs, there were no snooty sales people giving me the evil eye because I don’t look like I would be buying anything expensive, and they were clearly only concerned with helping me get exactly what I was looking for.They were super friendly, knew EVERYTHING about the pieces I inquired about and helped me easily design a customized ring. I can’t wait to see the finished product. It makes me wish we had gone local with my custom engagement and wedding rings. They will definitely be first on the list to get our jewelry business in the future.

I dropped my ring set off on the 8th, and was told I could pick it up a week exactly from that day. I understand the covid virus isn’t something we can control. But I do feel that I should have been reimbursed and/or compensated in some way for the inconvenience. I just got my rings back yesterday, and the owner refused to give me any sort of deal due to the delays. Instead tells me they do free cleanings! I can do the cleaning right here in my home. I only had my rings for 1 week and waited 20 days for them. Mind you I had only asked for a $20 reimbursement. He then told me he told me 10 days, which isn’t true. I know places that do resizing in 24 hours and charge less. I was recommended to this business, but never again will I use their services. The lack to tell you that your property will be shipped to another state. (Which would explain why they’d need extra time) and I surely wouldn’t have been comfortable with my belongings being shipped anywhere.

I brought my watch in for a crystal replacement and was so happy with the results! It was quick, a great deal, and now my watch looks brand new!

I have brought many watches that are expensive to get a battery replaced great prices and wonderful people. Fixed my diamond ring at again an amazing price!

I came in to get some jewelry cleaned, and was very surprised to find out that they dont charge for it! Even as a new or potential customer, that made me feel valued. The staff were attentive, polite, and helpful. The shop is clean, organized, and bright. I will be returning, and I will recommend them. Thanks again!

I went in to see if I could get my watch repaired, not fully knowing what the problem with it was. I was expecting to be told it was a repair that would take a number of days, but the guy who helped me was very efficient and knowledgeable, and had the watch running again within a few minutes. It was really some of the best customer service Ive experienced!

You know honestly, everyone that I have ever encountered in this store has been kind and helpful. Ive brought several different watches in for repair or changing bands, and theyve always done the work promptly and for less than I think they should. :-) A true asset to Central Vermont.

Great customer service went to goodfellows guy said he couldnt take pins out of my watch and to ship it back to factory went across the street to Richard j wobbys and they had the pins out in no time guy showed me how to adjust my watch and set it all up for me couldnt b happier with the service I received I highly recommend Richard j wobby jewlers

Great Family-owned business. Paul took his time to help us out even though he knew we werent going to be big spenders.I also feel the need to say that I reported the 1-star review by Eric Gentl to Google as having a conflict of interest. As the owner of this business pointed out, Eric owns a competing store and if you look up his reviews, pretty much all he has done is rate other competing stores as 1-star. Really bad manners and Wobbys deserves and extra 5-star rating if for no other reason than to balance out Erics bad etiquette. I would have given Wobbys 5-stars anyway.

My fiance purchased my engagement ring at Wobbys, and both of us were EXTREMELY happy with the beauty of this ring, but most importantly the customer service of Josh Magnan. As a barre native, I was thrilled that my fiance shopped locally, and we will definitely be coming back for our wedding bands and future jewelry needs!
