I had a nice watch with a leather band that broke and I could not find the right replacement for it anywhere. I decided to take it to Yankee Cobbler and see if one could be made. Today I got the new band and it is great! The workmanship is fantastic and the new band looks so similar to the original. I am so pleased and would definitely recommend their services to anyone. They are so pleasant and helpful.

Dropped off shoes to have heels put on. They said they would be ready in 8 weeks. If they met that date, I planned to add a star. But as I write.this update, they are 3 weeks overdue, so I took away a star. I have taken shoes in before and they are never ready early or even on time. But they also want to be paid when they havent done anything yet. When youre the only one for miles around, you get to make the rules, I guess. The place does good work but its really abusive and rude to customers to make a promise they have no intention of meeting. The original Yankee Cobbler that was destroyed by fire had your shoes done in a few days and the prices were much more reasonable. Anyone know of a better place somewhere within 50 or 100 miles?

Dropped off my boots about a month ago for a broken zipper. Got them back just in time for snow! The shoes looked amazing and the zippers were identical, I cant tell which had been replaced! They take pride in their work and they even polished the shoes for me! Very impressed!

They expertly repaired a favorite ski boot the seam came apart on. Now as good as new. Lucky to have such a great shop.

I had a pair of Birkenstock sandals re-corked. It took about three weeks, so ahead of the planned time. It cost $35, which is fair considering I did not need to sole replaced but if I needed that it would have been $85 which is simply outrageous. I realize cobblers are a rarity but I have had a complete makeover of Birks and other shoes in other parts of the country for quite a bit less. Finally, the work was simply mediocre. They were not properly glued in one location of the leather, a clear miss as the other three sections were properly glued. Additionally, one of the heels was re-corked in such a way that it created a wave pattern that was clearly missing/properly done on the other sandal. I think this could have been done better and more consistently.

They can fix darn near anything that is made of leather--shoes, boots, belts, coats, pants, and hats. Good service and good prices.
