Chris was great to work with. Very professional and thorough. He not only answered my questions prior to the home inspection but he addressed my concerns about not being able to be present for the inspection as I live out of state. His report was extremely thorough and included photos of the areas that he inspected. The report was completed in a timely manner and once completed he followed up with a phone call to review it with me. I would definitely recommend Chris and would not hesitate to use his services again in the future.

Chris and TJ did a great job of inspecting the home and septic system of the house I am in the process of purchasing!These gentlemen were professional and inspected my new home with some awesome high-tech gadgets like thermal scanning the radiant floor heating and using a drone to inspect the roof. Most inspectors would have skipped inspecting the roof due to there being several inches of snow and ice present, but these guys did a great job!I would highly recommend them!

Being active duty Army I wasnt able to see the house Im getting in person, but with TJ I was able to piece the house together a little more. Mere words cannot describe how pleased we were with Accrediteds services. We were in contract to purchase a home and hired them to do an inspection. TJ inspected this house with a fine tooth comb. He crawled under the crawl space and up on the roof, leaving nothing unchecked. The report we received from Accredited was so detailed with pictures as well as detailing the problems found, which were plenty. You think a home is pretty and ready, and then.....Thanks so much to Chris and TJ - they saved us from such a big mistake of a money pit.I will add that we live hours away and could not be there for the inspection, but TJ inspected the house as if we were standing right there.Besides such a thorough and detailed inspection and report, Chris and TJ have been available for any questions we have had after the fact and always responded quickly. Very Good home inspector, We had an electrician and some handyman for repairs come out based on TJs inspection and they where very impressed that TJ had spotted some of the issues. We had heard Maine had some bad inspectors and to be careful but TJ was amazing. He is based near Bangor but had no issue coming down to the Portland area to inspect my home.

SEE PHOTO OF MY REPORT BELOW!BEWARE, Owner and general inspector Chris Francis is new to providing inspections and we found out the hard way. I guess I should have known when he was able to get us in with such short notice, and he only having a single review with no comments. He was nice working with but his information is lacking significantly. Many items were not addressed at all in the inspection report and general statements were made. Example, instead of looking at any electrical issues, he simply added a note stating that we should have an electrician come and inspect. I understand a general inspector doesn’t do the nitty gritty things however, there were clear issues that even someone like me who knows nothing about inspections knew there was a problem (RUST). No pictures of the rusted areas and not addressed in the report. There were many other items that myself and my husband noticed yet were not in the inspection report. Examples are fogged panes of windows which means the seals are broken, bathroom door missing face plate so it won’t close/lock, and a large hole in ceiling under kitchen light fixture among other items. After getting the very skimpy report (34 pages with large photos) I called Chris and mentioned the missing items and voiced my concern with the lack of information. He said he could come back and do another inspection or just add the item I noticed to his report. When I told him about the hole in the ceiling his response was “Oh I see the hole in the photo, I liked the light fixture so much I was admiring that and didn’t notice the hole. I’ll add that to the report”. This statement was crazy to me; your job is to notice the hole not the light! I then told him not to bother coming back out and I would have other professionals (electrician, foundation…ect) to just come do separate inspections. He said he would add the items in our discussion to the report, but sadly I never got a new report sent to me. When I asked for a partial refund since I had to pay for more inspections on items he failed to do, he said he stands behind his work and will not provide a refund. Buying a house is already challenging enough and having a thorough inspection report is vital. Beware you may not get one from this company.
