This store is incredible. I was searching for a new tennis racquet and I did the demo program. Brendan in the Tennis department helped me through the whole program and took the time to really help me pick the right racquet. Best customer service I have ever experienced. Great store with great employees. You wont find this experience on Amazon.

TL;DR Princeton Sports is Awesome!Purchased three season long rentals of boots and skis for my family. Great staff who spent a lot of time making sure we got the right equipment. One of my kids has complained the last few ski days that her boots were to tight. I brought her in to swap out her boots which is a great perk of renting with Princeton Sports. Not only did they have a pair in the next size available but to give her another option the manager voluntarily, without even a word of concern from me, went in the back and brought out new in box ski boots so she could try on another option. We were chatting for a while about how wonderful it is to ski with your kids. You can’t fake that kind of passion and clearly Princeton Sports is lucky to have him. Unfortunately I can’t remember his name although the sales people did have name tags which was nice. They include complimentary tune ups with their rental package as well which is amazing. That’s about a $30 value that I’m sure many of their customers would likely pay them for. For growing kids, one of which outgrew a boot mid season, season long rentals at Princeton Sports is the way to go!In spring of 2020 we also bought a bike from them and the experience was excellent.

I’ve been a life time Princeton Sports customer and every time I revisit the store I am reminded why I don’t shop at other bike shops! The other day I paid a visit to the falls road location in Baltimore and was helped by a man named Conner. He was precise, quick, and very educated. Conner had myself and my wife try on a few pairs of tennis shoes. He was extremely confident in the first pair of shoes he brought out but we insisted on trying on a few different ones. He was right, the first shoes were the best. While we visited I also got a new pair of biking shoes complimented with pedals. Don’t judge by the age of the staff. They are the real deal and is so obvious when they explain in detail the products. Once again a happy customer. Until next time, Mr Shapiro.

Princeton Sports is hands down my favorite ski and snowboard shop around town. I’ve been dealing with a gentlemen by the name of Connor for a number of years now and strongly recommend seeing him! He knows his stuff from top to bottom. I challenge you to ask him a question that he doesn’t have a answer to. He knows the market up and down and knows his product specifications to the tee. Came into the store wondering why my hardware on my burton stun gun were coming lose and he immediately noticed that i had the wrong hardware and needed “M5” hardware. to me they look identical, to him he knew exactly what was wrong. Long story short...hardware fixed my problem and i couldn’t be happier yet again. Princeton, i’m not sure where you found this guy but every shop needs more guys like him. Thanks!

WOW is all I have to say. I’m originally from Burlington Vermont and this shop is no joke! About one week ago I paid a visit to this shop to get a new set up for the mid Atlantic mountains I will now be riding. Boy did these guys know there stuff. I was swiftly greeted by a gentlemen named Connor. He went way above his duty trying to find me a proper board for me with my riding style. This guy is a dictionary of information but conveys such information with ease. Many many many options and quickly I was narrowed down to about three boards. He mounted my board on the spot and reassured me that Princeton Sports will stand by their product. I spent (I believe it was 25 or 30$) to get a sharpen and wax for my board for the life of my purchase. I took the board out just yesterday and everything he said was absolutely correct. Highly recommend going to see Connor and the crew at this shop. Never knew buying a snowboard could be so easy and fun. Will be 100% a returning customer. With great pleasureJames weatherly

If only I could give Princeton Sports negative stars, I would in a heartbeat! This is the second year in a row that we have rented ski equipment for a family trip, and both years they have screwed up our rental. The first year we werent given poles and had to buy them once we realized we were missing them and one pair of boots didnt fit right because they didnt fit us when we got measured ( because we planned too far in advance 🙄) and this year they gave us the wrong boots entirely, making it impossible to even ski unless we wanted to spend a ton of money to rectify their error while at the lodge. To top it off, their manager, Dan, completely lacks in the customer service department. He did nothing but blame us for putting the boots on incorrectly (which was not the case) and told me that at some point we need to take some responsibility in the matter when he took no responsibility for their errors at all. We will NEVER use Princeton Sports for anything in the future!

I went in to get my daughters chain relinked, as we were converting it back from a balance bike to a regular bike. To make the bike a balance bike, we had taken the chain off along with the pedal crank set. Now, we were in the process of putting it back together again. I could do all of it myself except for the chain, as I didnt have a chain tool. Mind you, this should be a two-minute job, tops. If it was not, I was completely willing to buy a new chain and watch them put it on. Whatever the case, I was hoping my daughters, who had enjoyed helping me put the pedal crank set back together, could watch the mechanic relink the chain, and that this would be a learning experience for all of us. Princeton Sports were extremely rude, would not let us into the repair shop, would not even let us talk to the mechanic, (or the mechanic refused to talk to us) and they told me that unless we replaced the chain (which they had not looked at) and they did a complete tune-up, they could not do any work on the bike. The guy on the floor had no knowledge of bikes at all, and kept going back to consult with the mechanic, who kept telling him we needed to leave the bike for a complete tune-up, rather than answering my rather simple questions. I decided to buy a chain tool, and asked for help identifying the chain links that needed replacement. Again, absolute refusal to help. I finally asked for a master link, which they sold me along with the chain tool. This place absolutely sucks. Over-priced, snobby jerks with no interest in good customer service, or in helping the next generation grow into good stewards of their bikes.

Originally gave Princeton 5 stars because I got a fair price and knowledgeable assistance on a good selection of bikes, but the bike was not prepared properly before delivery. I did not receive an owners manual to learn how to operate the bike and was not directed to download one from Cannondale website. Since I hadnt purchased a new bike in decades, I wasnt sure why that wasnt given to me, but then found it online.Although I had mentioned that the rear brakes were tight, they were not adjusted before I took the bike home. Apparently, the quick release lever was left open when adjusting the brake cable leaving precious little space for the wheel to turn freely. I had placed a lock under my seat which must have knocked the lever into the closed position (where it should have been in the first place) and the wheel ended up locking on me during a very difficult 49 mile ride. I didnt realize the issue until about 22 miles into the ride and adjusted them myself, but my wheel is now marred from the pads and Im sure I took quite a bit of life out of the brake pads themselves. Additionally, the gears needed adjustment badly. The mid-range gears slip while pedaling uphill in the lower 9 and they wouldnt shift into certain gears in the upper nine. Taking it back in for badly needed adjustment after just 100 miles. Hopefully, it will get better attention and I can revise my review back to positive.

Took my bike there to get lubed and tuned for the new season and get two new tubes installed. I asked for self-sealing tubes and they told me there was no such thing even though Ive used them in the past. Youve never heard of self-sealing tubes? They quoted me a price and I dropped it off. Got the bike back and they charged me less than quoted. I asked why but they didnt have an answer, but hey, Im not going to complain that much about cheaper, right?Rode my bike a mile home and the tires went flat. Took it back explaining they had just put those tubes in and they said they couldnt be responsible for popped tubes. I get that, but thought maybe they would try and make is somewhat right. Nope, charged for two more new tubes + labor.Pick up the bike again and on the way out the door I say well see how it goes this time and they say yeah, just make sure you pump up the tires. What? I squeeze the tires and theyre soft. Why are the tubes not inflated and you KNOW theyre not inflated? They were soft the first time too. I also notice the shiny new valve stems and realize they didnt replace the tubes the first time (was that why it was cheaper?).So I go to ride to the gas station a few blocks away and I see they didnt replace my valve adapter, its gone. Ride home another few hundred feet...tubes pop again.Took my bike to another shop, they changed the tubes again (third set in three days) and showed me how the last ones were improperly installed.I have to give you one star if you cant even change a bike tire.

Sonny - the man with a heart of gold. I had a nasty flat from a 2 nail and was trudging home. It was a hot day and I was exhausted. Sonny and his wife pulled over in their car. Sonny said go to Princeton Sports and have the tire repaired. Tell them to charge it to Sonny. Thank you for your kindness to a stranger on the road.

EXTREMELY HELPFUL STAFF that made me feel at home. Picking up a new pair of skis today was a breeze today with the help of staff member Connor Covell. The knowledge team members reinforced my final decision on a new ski that I ended up taking home that day. Not only was I able to pick up a new pair of skis with bindings for the BEST PRICE I could find even when comparing online; but I was able to get my boots refitted/adjusted during the process of my new skis getting mounted (granted the minimal work load of the usually busy ski-tech). I have been a customer with Princeton for years now and can reassure anybody that this is the place to go for competitively priced skis and snowboards. I choose to buy in person instead of on the internet, for two reasons; you never know what to expect in a ski unless you hold them, and the fact that there is always something to learn in the new technology offered every season. Between those two reasons and the friendly camaraderie from the staff, I will always shopping at Princeton Sports.

Got myself a Cannondale Quick 6, my wife a cannodale, and my son a bike from there. great customer service, very helpful/friendly. allowed us to take the bikes for a test spin - they were very patient with us. prices are a little on the high side, but the quality of the products and service make up for that difference.

Went to Princeton on Falls Road for a mid-level road bike; had researched various models on the web and narrowed my interest to 2 Cannondale and 1 Specialized lines. Princeton had all 3 in stock and in my size. Talked with Matt about the differences between each of the bikes. He was able to immediately answer or quickly research answers to all my questions. Test-road each bike, and was able to test climbing and sprinting on a road directly across from the shop. So much better than just riding around in circles in a parking lot! Their post-sales support includes a year of tune-ups, and tweaking the setup as needed. My choice of a CAAD10 5 105 was not geared quite low enough for some of the hills I ride, so they swapped out the chain rings for smaller sizes – at no cost to me. Overall, a great buying experience at Princeton, both with their personnel and their bikes.

Every time I go into Princeton is a joy to deal with all the people and the services they provide. No, theyre not cheap by any means, but believe me its worth it. Id bought a bicycle smart-head pump which went bad after two years and they replaced it, no questions asked. We rent skis for our two kids each winter and get much better quality equipment that what wed find on the slopes of Liberty or Whitetail for less money. Every repair Ive needed for our Bikes (broken spoke, bent wheels, flats) have been done perfectly with a rapid turn around time; and more importantly the repair lasts.I do have other choices for biking needs such as Performance Bikes or RacePace and theyre both decent shops. But not of the quality service and professionalism of Princeton Sports.

I rarely write reviews about stores, but after my most recent visit to Princeton Sports I figured Id share my experience. Ive been shopping at Princeton for over ten years now, and as of late I am not impressed at all. Poor customer service, employees that find it troublesome to check out a customer, and an overall snobby aura from the workers are just some of PSs many issues. Every single time Ive approached the counter to check out, the people at the cash register seem irritated that I would even dare step foot in their prestigious establishment. Zero eye contact and non-responsive workers should be what you expect from Princeton Sports. It may have been that the manager was not present the last few times I shopped there, but I have sensed a downward trend in their overall shopping experience. If you are looking for a good snow/ski store to do some holiday shopping, I would stick to online stores so you dont have to continue your day in a bad mood. I would have switched to another snow/bike shop years ago, but this is the only one in the area. 1 out of 5 stars.
