Ive been seeing Nick consistently for almost a year now. He does a good job on my nails and is close by. His shop is clean and everyone is friendly and professional. He knows what he is doing and does a great job of accommodating. His prices are reasonable and everything is spelled out on the menu so there is no confusion. I usually get a my nails done and a gel pedicure.He can do an overlay of my real nails or a complete set of acrylics. He is very polite and sweet. He is friendly to talk to.They accept cash and card, and he has an ATM in the shop as well.The few cons are, he is the only one who does acrylics here and his is usually booked because of that, and sometimes behind schedule.Also, there are no lash services here but he said they will be coming soon!

Love this place! The ambience is so chique and posh. Wide selection of beautiful gel color. I have a hard time deciding every time I go! Service is fast and efficient. I am in and out in 30 minutes for my fill ins and 20 minutes for my pedicure. Being in and out under an hour is unheard of. I havent found a nail place who can do my nails as quickly and EFFICIENTLY as MV nails. I am a customer for life!

Very nice, nails look exactly like the picture I showed them. I got acrylics with dip powder and gel polish and it was very reasonably priced.

I came in 7/3/2021 to get a full set in Matte black. They were poorly done, and the guy who did my set, he rushed through them. I still paid and left. When I got home to shower, my nails bubbled up. I immediately called the salon and asked if I could come back, with hesitation they allowed me to. When I get there, they treat me as if this is my fault, like I did something wrong. Another guy is saying this is what happens when you work over someone else’s work, but I kept reminding him this is your work! I had NO nails on when I came in. He rushed over my nails again, only painting them, and they still were horrible. Here are the pictures. I don’t appreciate the poor customer service because I asked them to fix their mistake.

This place is good for pedicures but manicures are a different story. I left with my nails looking like blobs. There are several cuts on my cuticles as well as hard powder formed around my nails. The entire experience was horrible and the service subpar.

I called in advance to see if they do designs the person said yes and asked me what time would I like to come in. I told them Im on my way. I got there I sit down I showed the design I want and Im told they dont do design and that the person who does is on vacation. Being that Ive already driven 30 minutes to get there and dealt with trying to find parking I went and got my fill in, but cancelled wanting a pedicure from them. I was lured under false pretenses and refuse to spend any extra money with them.Additionally, the service was quick in and out, but my nails looks chunky/blocky at best. He didnt do any additional filing down of the nail to make sure it looks natural, only shaped it. And the nails are snagging things/ not smooth. Will not return. Spare your time.Lastly, no one apologized for wasting my time. The guy at the front desk had a smug smile and just said yeah the guy was out today, which again I remind him this is why I called first! What was the purpose of me calling if youre just going to lie. No I must write a review.

This salon was nice 🥰 it was clean, staff was friendly and nice! The lady that did my nails was nice and attentive to my left hand (it cant open) she worked with it and overall i WILL BE BACK!!PS..Wasnt crowded either

Normally great service. Unfortunately, not anymore. I will never return. It’s 2021 and we should be on time and progressive. Had my mother wait over 2 hours while servicing white people who had appointments even though I made an appointment 24 hours in advance. The owner the short man who answers the phone was very rude and told us after two hours of waiting that the staff was on lunch break (THEY LIED) and decided to service another (yes white) person before my mother who had been waiting since 2PM. We were on time and very understanding but after 2 hours we had enough and left. Not to mention my pedicure was subpar and messy for $35 I expect you to get the job done right. I won’t be returning and if you value your time then you won’t go here either. Try Mount Vernon Nails around the corner they are honest about the time and nicer. I’m done.

I thoroughly enjoyed this experience. From the service, to the massage chair, to the relaxing atmosphere I love this place. No one was gossiping or trying to get in my business. Just great service and professionalism just the way I like it!

Awesome place that practices super social distancing rules and cleanliness. The pedicure was the bomb with a super massage. This was my first nail salon experience since COVID and I am super pleased because my feet were super jacked up. Tipped extra for the PHENOMENAL massage. Please make an appointment to save on wait time.

I can’t tell you how much I miss this place!!! I moved out of the city to a neighboring county and I want my Jamie back!!! Life just isn’t the same. I just tried two different salons in my new town and it’s so horrible. I am literally driving the hour to Baltimore just for this place.It’s beyond worth it.

I’m very upset about my pedicure. Older gentleman (I’m guessing in his 70’s) was so rough and rushed. I was in his chair a total of 15 minutes, and my feet are bleeding he was so rough. The dollar store “pumice stone” (it was plastic) I’m sure didn’t help. I shouldn’t have to go home and cover my feet in neosporin and band aids after a salon visit.

I wanted to update this review, because at this point I have been here three times and every time it has been the same.The first time, they told me they could do something, started on my nails, and then halfway through told me they didn’t have any of the things like crystals or the colors I wanted to actually do it. The girl also was obviously struggling. The manager had to finish my manicure, and I picked different crystals, which ended up wildly off center. i was really angry that I spent $80 on something that was obviously wrong. The whole situation had been so bizarre that I felt bad and didn’t say anything, assuming I’d just make sure I never had that girl again.The last couple times, they had what I wanted, but my nails ended up horribly thick and obviously wrong.I think what’s happening is depending on who you get, you get really different service. A couple people I know highly recommend one girl who works here, but it seems like pretty much everybody else needs more training.Even if I have an appointment, I usually have to wait and it always feels like I am being rushed. Multiple times the person working on my nails has had to ask for help from a manager who had to come over and try to fix it.I believe that there are a couple good people working here, but their prices are really high for a place where you will either end up with a decent manicure or something that you have to go spend another $50 to fix elsewhere.I’m not going back because there is a cheaper, much better place literally two blocks away. I’ve given them three tries😔

Very nice shop. Walked in on a Sunday at noon and I only waited about 15 minutes before being serviced. Very clean. Huge selection of gel colors and dipping powder. First time trying this shop and I will b returning. Maybe $10 more than I usually pay but worth every penny

I go here for pedicures sometimes when I’m in a hurry. Generally, they’re just okay. I always get a bright color on my toes and I like them shiny but they often look very matte when I leave, almost as if there’s no shiny top coat on them. Thus, I apply a second top coat myself. There’s a woman here named Jess who does an ELITE job on manis and pedis. Definitely book with her, but do it weeks in advance, because her slots fill up quickly!

I found this salon back in October. Theyre really consistent with services and reasonably priced. I see Nicky who is amazing and always takes his time to give me the nails I showed him from the picture. You can book appointments through facebook messenger. Salon is always clean and theyre taking covid very seriously. (You have to fill out a form, keep a mask on, plexiglass between customers and techs) This last appointment I switched up from my usual and got long acrylics with SNS dip and design. Nicky spent two hours making sure the nails were all the same length and that I was happy with the design.Parking is a little hard especially on weekends but never so bad I couldn’t find it at all.

I came in to get a pedicure with my mom and sister a while ago. They were able to squeeze us in, and we all left happy!

My nails came out terrible and a service that takes less than an hour, took almost 2. They were weird, but not really rude. They tried to fix it, but it didnt help. And the woman next to me was getting terrible nails too. Im so done with these lazy shops. Independent techs from here on. Worst nails Ive ever received. Never going back, but Im sure they will survive.

I visited this salon today. I walked in & immediately was taken. Howeeeever I asked them to get me in & out in 45 mins. I told them if it was not doable then I’d rather leave.They told me it was & the lady took an hour just for a full set. The manager was sitting right next to the woman doing my nails & never offered her help. She seemed to be pretty new. Long story short I wasn’t able to even get my nails painted & he STILL charged me full price. Horrible customer service. I wish I could insert a picture. My nails ARE NOT painted.

I cant remember the young gentlemans name that just did my nails but i got chrome color and absolutely love it. He did an awesome job. Very clean edges and I will definitely be back.

Terrible customer service at this otherwise beautiful salon. After messing up my chrome nail polish (it came out cloudy and gross-nothing like it should have) I had to ask for them to fix it. I come in a few days later to get it fixed, and they mess it up again, only to try and pass it off as Thats better, right? knowing full well it was not right. They did not offer to give me a new color I liked or offer me a refund of any kind. I had to ask for a refund for the chrome part alone.After leaving I notice theres a fine film of purple chrome dust around my nails. I walked back to have them clean it up and they told me it would come off in the shower.I cannot shower before going to work later today.Its 10% making the mistake (TWICE) and 90% how they handled it.Extremely disappointed.

Anytime I visit Baltimore and need my nails done, I go here. Brought my SO the last time I went. He wasn’t disappointed with how they cleaned up his nails and enjoyed the massage he got afterward too. 4 stars as I’ve had to wait around for staff a few times.

Theyre okay. Long wait sometimes. The younger guy who sits in the back isnt that great. Just mediocre. They also dont have many gel color options,, which is annoying.

I got SNS nails and pedicure and it was an ok experience. It took about 3.5 hours total to complete because not everyone does acrylics. However the color is really pretty. I like the ambiance, but a big no for me is nail salons who dont accept credit card tips. I dont carry cash and I hate having to be forced to use their atm. I may go back but the experience wasnt positively memorable enough to reccomend to others.

I had recently had a bad experience at a different nail salon with getting ombré nails so i was skeptical about getting ombre again afraid i was going to be paying for nails that i personally think don’t look good; but after my recent visit i am extremely happy with the quality and customer service i received. i, for some reason, always get my nails done by a male and they end up looking amazing, i’ve read the lowest reviews for this salon and i genuinely think it’s because of the person that does your nails, they’re also a bit overpriced but i don’t mind as long as they do a good job, in general i had a good experience and i’m happy with it!

This by far is the best nail salon I have ever visited in my whole life. Ive even got my nails done at exclusive places like Red Door. The staff is really nice. They have free beverages. But the work is amazing. They have an expansive selection. And they have a nail artist who can do pretty much any designs on Pintrest, including 3D acrylic designs. The price is the same as any local nail salon. I paid $50 for a full set, coffin shape, med length, and gel polish. About two months ago, I paid about $60 for a full set, stilleto shape, medium length with gell polish, and foil/gel designs. If you want over the top designs, I recommend making an appointment or visiting prior to go over the details/pricing/make an appointment.

I never write reviews but this i feel is necessary to share. When i first moved to Baltimore last summer, this salon has been my go-to shop as the staff is generally friendly and accommodating, however, my experience today was completely adverse and unsatisfying. I arrived around 5:30 for a fill in and was greeted by the nail tech who was very rude from the beginning. She seemed as if maybe she was having a long or rough day so i tried my best to overlook it and just let her work on my nails without bothering her too much. During the shaping of my nails, i kindly asked her if my nails could be tapered instead of the traditional coffin shape. She argued with me for about five minutes about how tapered shaped nails are the same as coffin shaped nails (which they are not) and that it would be extra. I expressed to her that i always get my nail shape tapered here and ive never been charged extra. She ignored what i said and kept stating it would be extra. As i didnt want to argue, i let her continue on and i mentally notated that Id speak with the manager about this before i left. Succeeding her finishing the shaping, i noticed that three of my nails were very crooked- one extremely noticeably crooked. I politely mentioned my observations to her, she looked at me like she was annoyed, took my hand and attempted to fix it without saying a word to me. For about fifteen minutes she tried correcting the crooked nails. She was able to fix up two of them so they looked decent, still slightly crooked but decent, however one stayed extremely crooked. Im not sure if it was due to how she glued it on but it was noticeably crooked. I expressed to her that i understood if it was not able to be fixed but something needed to be deducted for my time and the fact that its crooked. She looks at me like im crazy and demands i pay. At this point im highly annoyed with her rude demeanor and i ask to speak with a manager. She looks at me, laughs, and points in my face to go speak to the manager as if im a child. The manager, a man whos name im unsure of, was very polite and helpful. He was able to fix my nails and at least i walked out with them looking satisfactory, however, the treatment i received by the lady tech was completely undeserving. Ill be taking my business to another location who has better customer service.

I am new to the Mt. Vernon neighborhood & was overjoyed that there was a, seemingly, high quality nail salon within a short walking distance from my new home. I was really trying to like this place, however, Im having a hard time doing so.I have been here twice already for two different services: mani & pedi; upper lip waxing.The FIRST VISIT 8/15/17: The former, my nail tech (whose name I dont remember) did a WONDERFUL JOB on my pedicure (Im still rocking it as I type this review); however, she butchered my manicure. No, seriously. There was blood shed. ON THREE FINGERS. THREE. She cut my cuticles so far back, and even acknowledged that my cuticles were different than what she was used to so she had to go slowly and carefully. (I dont know why one would rush this step or service). Thankfully I asked for alcohol for myself, as she wasnt going to acknowledge or remedy the bleeding until I said something about it. She had to ask the manicurist next to her where she could locate it. Not cool. I still tipped her $5 for my great pedicure & massage.THE SECOND VISIT: 8/30/17Lip waxing. This was a big evening for me so I called ahead to see if there was anyone in particular that did waxing, as sometimes salons like to give you just anyone. My inquiry was met with a vague anyone can do it here so I got KATRINA. Let me just say, this was by far THE WORST EXPERIENCE I’VE EVER HAD @ a nail salon. She was very unprofessional & unhygienic. She didnt clean her hands or wear a mask during my service. Thankfully I looked at my lip before I left as she had completely missed THREE different spots, obviously showing her incompetence. I pointed them out & she began waxing again. When I asked her to place the hygienic paper over the pillow again she made an agitated sound and retorted Yes maam! in a very sarcastic tone. She was so busy trying to tell me about her birth control woes and how it made her have more hair on her face that she completely missed the mark for MY service. During the second waxing round she opened the door, which is something someone does only when the service is complete. Katrina was so rough when wiping the remaining wax off my face, that I took the piece of cotton from her hand & did it myself. This happened a few times. After the service she immediately left (read: stormed out) while I still had the mirror in my hand and began shouting something in her native language where lip wax was the only audible English word - obviously talking about our interaction. I informed Ann (who I think is the owner) about the situation and she said she would talk to her. I explicitly stated that I live around the corner and would LOVE to make this my neighbor nail salon but will not return if service will continue to be this way. Ann assured me that there were other people that could do my waxing for the next time. When I went to the restroom, Katrina was sitting by a pedicure chair, on her phone. Obviously proving she had nowhere to be & rushed thru the service just to be rude. I still tipped her $3 as I was thankful for their availability on such short notice.Honestly, after that experience, I will NEVER RETURN NOR RECOMMEND. For this salon to be hot & new, you would think their customer service would be top notch. Well, its not. I issue a strong warning of caution when coming to this place. My search continues as I look for another nail salon with a higher level of quality for customer service in Mt. Vernon. A place where ALL the employees appreciate their customers.

I went here for an SNS manicure. They skipped three steps in the process (according to the SNS companys step by step directions posted online) and actually used a UV gel topcoat on top of the SNS color which defeated the purpose of getting an SNS manicure with no UV light... My nails look good for now, but the gel topcoat is not as shiny and wont last as long as the SNS topcoat in my previous experience.

Although I wish Ann never left Nicky was great. Great atmosphere and clean.
