Small but very well organized. Very helpful staff. The only downside is that dont seem to recycle antifreeze which the DPW website clearly says they do. Bummer.

Very easy entrance and exit pretty much no matter what you’re dropping off. Small place but VERY organized and efficient. Never waited more than maybe 5 minutes for a spot to unload.

These folks have a system. Follow it and you will always be satified. Check the website for more complicated items like paint or hazmats to know if you can drop off- somethings have certain days( or did in the past). Very glad they do what they do and keep this site running so smooth.

The dump is more organized than my house is. Staff here are the best rock solid genuine people that are passionate about what they do. The men and women of 28th street make me smile and make my day when I go there.

Site has all types of disposal refuse sections. The full time guys are very helpful because it could be a bit overwhelming at first. Great for quick lunch drop offs.

Terrible service.I was moving and had to drop off some items, guy at the gate did not let me through because of my vehicle; it was a u-haul. I told him I could park and carry my items to the dumpster and the guy refused. I went to talkto the manager to tell him the situation; I was moving and needed to get rid of my mattress and box spring because they did not fit in my vehicle. I told him the same thing that I could just carry my items by hand and he said no.I had heard that the staff here is incompetent, but I never though I would have an encounter first hand; a wet bag of gravel would have been more useful.

I guess these guys are doing the best they can with what little our city gives them?(review as of march 27, 2021)

Long lines at times but i go almost everday. Good people working.

I know the city workers are not picking up paper recycling due to covid19.I picked up my neighbors recycling and delivered to the session street yard. I have a stake body truck it holds a lot of papers.When I arrived I had to let them no I am just dumping recycling only not my bulk trash I had on my truck. I need someone to contact me I used to labor and drive for the city for about 27 years. I am still available.

Recycling at Sisson Ave each week, we are greeted by friendly staff. Usually the wait is short, and we like that the sanitation facility is open until 6pm.

Everyone is always so friendly and helpful here, but they went above and beyond today! I had so much to unload, and one of the gentleman gave me hand. So grateful!

Was easy access. Had to wait but not for long. As vehicles left others were allowed in and the man in charged who was so polite asked what we had. He directed us to a certain dumpster and how to park so we could easily exit. This was the Sission 28th Street location.

It is wonderful to have this option near by. just try to avoid going 1st thing in the morning......and Saturday. If you can.

Nice people by and large. I was there to drop off recycling, because as of this season were not getting it picked up (September 2020). Took about 35 minutes of waiting in line in the middle of the afternoon on a weekday. I wouldnt recommend doing this if youre at all pressed for time.

Why were we being charged 20 dollars cash fro a load of sticks when they were barely sticking out from the bed! We waited for an hour and they would not even let us pull over to the side to walk to the gas station to get cash! What is wrong with people!

Had to drop off two weeks of recycling because pickups are not happening after a group of garbage collectors got sick with COVID-19. Staff at this site were helpful and courteous, and the site was easy to use.

Staff is friendly and the facility is ‘user friendly’- you drive your vehicle up a ramp, back it up to the top of the trash/recycling container, and drop whatever you’re leaving in. As a point of comparison, for recycling at the City’s Reisterstown Road location you’re emptying your load from the ground into the top of an extra-tall dumpster and it’s pretty difficult (and I’m 6’ tall).

Great experience every time. Well organized, friendly, decent hours are a few words to describe the facility. Its rare that a government facility gets a 5 star review, but this one deserves it. Just wish theyd start taking foam again.

Good spot to dump as long as you dont have commercial vechile and construction debris.

Top notch employees. They are always friendly, efficient, and welcoming. This city could not function without these amazing men and women.

It is the dump. Not to much to review. It is about as efficient as it gets. Be careful on Saturdays as the lines can be pretty long. Also dont bring a rental or commercial vehicle, you are likely to be turned away.

The staff was friendly. Thankful that I could get rid of trash from Christmas without a hassle. Its sad that we only get trash pick ups once a week, but at least there is a drop off option.

Very nice staff! So happy there is a section for styrofoam recycling on the lower level. The upper area can get quite crowded, so the staff directs the best spot to back-up and sometimes helps to unload. Baltimore City does a great job recycling at Sisson Avenue!

Always easy to get in and out, and always greeted by friendly and professional staff.

We recently started a recycling program at the school where I teach and use this location as our drop off area. The people are always so friendly and helpful and have made the start of this recycling program much easier!

They wouldn’t let me dump my old furniture because they said “we don’t take dual wheeled trucks.” But told me another dump I could go to 7 minuets away that accepts dual wheeled trucks: 5030 Reisterstown road.
