We had been looking for someone to refinish our wood flooring. I found Matt online and like most people, went off of his reviews. (Always nervous when you don’t have a referral or have used that particular company in the past.) We could not be happier! He and his assistant kept us informed, were always professional and made sure our house had minimal dust during the entire process. He listened to what I wanted and understood the look I was trying to achieve. When I could not decide between two colors, he surprised us with a custom blend and brought what I had envisioned to life! Matt is a true artist and has definitely mastered his craft. You can tell he loves what he does and it shows through work!

I hired Matt to refinish the hardwood floors in my 1940’s rancher. To say that he did an excellent job is an understatement. Our house was furnished and they, carefully, moved all the furniture out of the house. Matt kept us informed throughout the process. He helped us pick out the right stain, because we had different types of wood in the house, and he wanted to make sure the finished product matched everywhere. The finished floors look amazing. I would definitely hire them again and recommend them to anyone looking for quality and timely service.

Matt was great to work with. He was very responsive, was quick to get an us estimate & begin the work of refinishing our floors. He did multiple stain samples, in multiple rooms, & was very patient with me as I took an agonizingly long time to make a decision. Always very friendly, would absolutely recommend!

Matt is the most detail oriented contractor of any skill set I have had the pleasure of hiring. I recently had a tenant damage my floors. My home is 100 years old and the floors are original. I was worried about restoring them to their original glory as well as not harming the moldings or delicate plaster walls. Matt and his team were fastidious and painstakingly careful with every aspect of the process. They took their time, and carefully worked the edges of the room and doorways in ways other contractors said they couldnt - or wouldnt do with charging a lot more money. Although this house is in Baltimore suburbs - I am hoping he will also do the floors in my residence in Bethesda - I wouldnt trust anyone else, he has set the bar very high. I cannot say enough good things about him or his work.

Matt was incredible. He did meticulous and fantastic work, and he saved me from myself when it came to design ideas. His work speaks for itself and is incredible. Well definitely use him again when we need him.

Matt was wonderful, and he did an excellent job buffing and finishing the floors in my rental unit. There were a couple of damaged floorboards that he skillfully repaired. And when I called him to come back to touch up a few dry spots, he came the same day. He was very pleasant to work with and extremely professional in his attitude and practice. We worked with Matt to do a fairly extensive demo, install, and refinish of hardwood floors in our recently purchased house. He was extremely detail-oriented in planning the work and went out of his way to minimize our costs along the way. He and his team did an amazing job, the floors are beautiful and we could not be happier with the results top to bottom! Not only that, but he went beyond our original plan and surprised us by refinishing two additional rooms just so they would look fresh to match the new floors. Matt was able to provide an estimate the same day I called and was available to perform the job within a week of hiring him for the job. Matt did a great job with our floors. Matt explained we had a pre finished maple floor which would require additional steps in his process. He did a very nice job explaining what those steps were, and why he had to take them. In the end, the floors turned out great. Matt and his crew were very professional and addressed any concerns we had throughout the job promptly. I had a water-damaged parquet wooden floor. I called several places who couldnt handle the job. Matt and his team came to my rescue. He repaired my floor by making the sections of the flooring from pieces of wood that he cut himself.He met all of expectations and more. His team was professional and responsive. They finished the job on time. His work was of quality. He is a craftsman. You cannot tell the area that was damaged. It blended in with the rest of the flooring. We removed 25 year old carpet and thought there was NO HOPE for our floors. Matt came in, did his thing, and we couldn’t be happier. He also filled old cable holes and worked long hours to get us back into our home as fast as he could. We will definitely use Matt’s Professional Flooring when we tackle our upstairs!

Matt did what others said could not be done. He removed the remains of a glued tile floor and made it look like new. Will definitely recommend him and use him for any future projects.

Matt was referred to me by my trusted home inspector while I was in the process of purchasing my new home. Even with his busy schedule, Matt made time to visit my soon-to-be home during my final walkthrough so that I wouldnt be scrambling to find contractors after I purchased the home. He gave me a quote that day and within 24 hours, scheduled me for my sanding and staining.Matt and his team are the real deal. Not just because of the quality of their finished product, but because of their industry knowledge and all-around professionalism. Matt was able to begin work sooner than anticipated and didnt mind moving the furniture that I hadnt yet gotten to. He sanded both floors and the stairs of my Patterson Park home on the first day. When my partner and I stopped by after work, Matt had some sample stains available for us to check out. He explained the color profile of each stain and made sure we noticed how each stain enhanced features in the wood differently. It was important to us that the floors matched the beautiful original banisters that came with the house and Matt was patient with us as we tested each stain against these banisters in different light. With all the information and insight provided to us, choosing the color of the floor was actually easier than I anticipated. We went with a cherrywood stain. Guys, Im not lying when I say that I could not have imagined better floors. The color is exactly what I wanted and every nook is sanded and stained perfectly. The previous floor was not just worn down, but was plagued with ridges. Now, there isnt a blemish on it. Literally could not have done a better job.Matt is a dedicated, knowledgeable, second-generation pro when it comes to flooring, and it shows.
