They showed up way late, but it was not the service techs fault. He was only assigned our scheduled 4:00 pm repair order as he began what he thought was his last order for the day in another location which was also scheduled at 4:00 pm. He did not arrive at our location until 6:30 pm.Once on site he did work quickly to diagnose the problem and complete the repair. He was tired and worn out from working in the 90+ degree heat and having an extra assignment and a couple hours to his day. He was professional and courteous and we joked about doing service work and some of the common issues associated with being dispatched to situations and not knowing what to expect until you arrive.He presented a couple different options on ways to proceed and had prices for each option readily available. He also clearly laid out the pluses and minuses associated with each option which made making a decision relatively easy. In the end, despite missing our service window by over two hours the repair was made in a solid and methodical fashion, minimizing my cost and inconvenience. The overall cost of the repair was well within the range of values I anticipated it would be. So all in all I was very happy with the outcome, the high quality professional service provided, and the pleasant and easy to work with tech that came to our home. Installed a sump pump. Walter Boyle was right on time, tremendously professional, and gave us an immediate feeling that he was more than up to the task. He finished the work quickly and showed us the work. I cant imagine that anyone, anywhere could do a better job. I will make sure to request Walter for any additional plumbing work that comes up!

Al was great, professional, and very courteous. Unclogged my kitchen drain and runs great now. Have only one concern, yesterday I was looking for another thing in the basement and went into an area where the main drain was that the kitchen pipe was connected to, the floor there was wet and in some spots very wet. SO today when I get home from work, after two showers taken this morning, I want to see if the wet spot grew or shrunk. Will be in touch if it grew?????

I called Michael and Son at 8 pm for a plumbing repair and they were able to schedule a technician the following day. My technician, Dion, was extremely friendly and helpful. Dion called me as soon as he diagnosed the issues and provided multiple options for the repairs. He even offered a discount, which I appreciated. Over my experience was great, but I paid $500 for a kitchen faucet, which seems expensive to me. Otherwise the technician was great and I will definitely call them the next time I have a plumbing issue.

Promptness is 5 star BUT the plumber that came out told me he would have to charge me $200 just to open the wall!!! Then he told me after going into the wall he wouldn’t be completing the drywall required to close it!!?? Like so I’m just supposed to pay you to do an unfinished job? Definitely WILL NOT be using them again.

I have a service contract with them. When i contacted them to make an emergency service call the earliest they would be able to come out was 4 days from when I called. They stated it was due to “being short”. After several follow up phone calls i was able to get a next day service.****RESPONSE TO REPLY: That is cute....I called your customer relations contact last week via telephone and left a message 2 times and have not received a call back.

We had a bit of a catastrophe with a broken pipe that caused our entire basement to be flooded (including an apartment occupied by tenants). We’ve had to pretty much gut it and it’s an understatement that it’s been a stressful couple of days. BUT… the service we received from Michael & Son was a bright spot in the midst of a lot of chaos! They were able to come next day and replace the damaged hot water heater without any worry on our part. Our technician, Porfirio, was exceptional… he was courteous, professional, efficient and very communicative. He did a great job explaining what he did, what we needed to know about the new system, made suggestions to better protect ourselves in the future, and made sure we’d have everything we need to submit to insurance. We were extremely pleased with the service we received from Porfirio and Michael & Son and are so grateful for their part in relieving some of the stress!

Hank, the electrician working my project earned 10 out of 5 stars. I recommend Hank without reservations. Between the time we walked through the project for an estimate, and the two days of install I have no doubt I asked 120 questions. I am sure there were a few questions I asked two or three times. Hank patiently answered all my questions and where needed answered the questions I did not know to ask. The estimate clearly itemized all the equipment needed, including brand names where applicable. Other companies I received estimates from gave a one-line explanation of the project and the price but did not itemize any equipment. Hank arrived on-time for every appointment, completed the work exactly as he described to me ahead of time, and cleaned up after the job was done. The end result is neat, organized, and labeled for future reference.

I was very pleased with my experience with Michael & Sons Services. It was easy to book an appointment, and they even called me a week early to offer a sooner appointment because there was a cancellation. I also received a courtesy call the day of to let me know that my service person was running late. Definitely appreciated that. Once here, Kevin was quick, professional, and communicative. It was just a diagnostic visit, but I now feel confident about their future visit. Kevin wasnt out the door ten minutes when I received a copy of my invoice as well as the estimates for the recommended work in my email. So nice.

Do not be misled like I was by the “average” and “high” prices they have listed on their site. The technician wanted to charge 2-1/2 times more than the advertised “high” estimate for the service I needed. Of course you still have to pay the assessment fee. I will be filling a complaint with the BBB, companies should not be able to make outrageous claims to get money out of people. Complete lack of ethics and no respect for common decency.

I had them come out twice within two days for two different things. They were responsive and communicated well when booking and getting to my home. I’m not a fan of the dispatch price, especially for the first guy, who charged $89 to put a piece of tape in the HVAC pipe. I ended up getting their gold plan so that I would have to pay $89 for the take. The second guy was way more informative and deserves a 5/5. His name was Adam White. He did great. It’s not the worker’s fault that the policy is that way to charge for so Pat h (they also tell you ahead of time). I’d only go with them again if I KNOW to fix could be huge, otherwise I’d rather use thumbtack to search for repair people. Overall, not a bad experience, just expensive.

Ugh, unfortunately it pains me to leave a bad review, but this was absolutely the worst experience I’ve ever had dealing with a contractor. We had an initial visit with a tech that ordered a small part to replace, then battled with the company trying to track down the tech, a manager, the part, etc. for almost 7 weeks. We ended up being told the tech had health issues, but for a large professional company, there should be steps in place to correct this and assign another tech after we went almost two months without hot water. I kept being told by customer service reps “this is so crazy, we’ve never seen this happen” “we will get upper management involved and fix this immediately” and then would continue to hear nothing. Finally, John the plumbing manager got involved and fixed the problem free of charge which was appreciated, however I hope this can be a learning experience and they can fix the processes in place for when a tech needs to be reassigned because I don’t think another customer would have been so patient!

Donnell came and checked on my A/C unit just for a regular check up— he was phenomenal. Professional, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful. 10/10 would recommend him!

Toilet plunger in the back was not seating correctly so the toilet was constantly running. I called Michael and Son to set up appointment and took the second half of the day off.Technician doesn’t show up. Call the office and he claim to have been there. I look at Ring and he is no where around. Reschedule and have the renters there.Next day someone does show up and quotes $900 to fix both toilets. Seems high to me but I have to get the issue fixed so the tenant doesn’t get a higher water bill.2 more appointments later everything is finally fixed and paid for. Another company reaches out to me about the repair and to just get another quote tell them the issue (from Michael and Son’s quote) and ask what it will cost. $75 per toilet plus a $30 part.100% avoid Michael and Son’s unless you want to overpay considerably.

They were wonderful. I’ve used this company a few times already and they have always been great. And the prices are reasonable for the work provided. 10/10 highly recommend.

I was scheduled for a coil cleaning between the hours of 4-6pm. 5:30 I receive a call stating that my technician is running behind and I’ll get a call when they’re close by. It’s 8pm with no call and no technician. I call to find out that he’s almost an hour away and won’t be finished anytime soon. I did not receive a courtesy call, nor were they proactive by sending out someone else. This is unacceptable and unprofessional! I’m told I could reschedule for another day by the operator. I left work early to sit and wait for nothing! I read all the positive reviews and thought I made the right decision by choosing this company. I highly recommend that people steer clear and choose another company that is more reliable. My time is important too! I’ll be taking my business elsewhere.

The service tech, Divine, was thorough, courteous, and friendly. He walked me through every aspect of our AC system in a 96-year-old house and explained it all easily and clearly so that I could get a good picture on where the house was in terms of its AC. At no time that I feel like he was trying to upsell me or get me to buy something that I didnt need, he just gave me good valuable information and worked hard to get it to me.

Installation of exterior water bib. Overall a good experience. The tech was professional, on time, and the work was top notch. The only discrepancy is with the price. The total price was about 40$ greater than the agreed upon, but I didnt notice until later that day (thats on me).

I gave Michael & Sons a call last year to replace my AC unit, and the installation was flawless. Very well job done. They cleaned up after themselves as well. I called them again to replace my Water Heater that went up. Bruce Walker and his helper came out to give me an estimate, talk to me about what they could do, and get me set up for installation, which was scheduled within a day and done efficiently. Their professionalism is one of the best Ive ever experienced, with great attitudes, and they always arrived on time, explaining the entire process from start to finish and cleaned up after themselves. We had a problem with a GFI circuit that was tripping. This turned off our freezer which caused us to lose over $300 of food. The electrician sent, Vince, was very professional and polite. He diagnosed the problem as the freezer needed to be on its own circuit. He was able to set that up in a few hours. It was a bit pricey but he got yhe job done. Very satisfied with the work.

My first visit with my plumber was not great. He definitely tried some underhanded, under the table business. He has since been fired. My new technician, Shakir, was amazing and through! He saw multiple problems, even on in an area that he wasnt required or requested to inspect and let me know of the dangers and problems they could cause for my house hold. He took his time to explain everything I asked about my water heater, and provided plenty of photos for todays service, estimates for future services, and discussed a home care service plan. The service was great. The technician very nice and knowledgeable. The bad part was that the weather was hot and AC went up. It took 3 weeks to get an appointment, and My mother is 83 and wheel chair bound and they could not make it sooner. To top that off the technician was 3 hours late from scheduled appointment.

Deion Williams, plumbing expert, did an excellent job of repairing and replacing a shut off valve and outdoor faucet. Courteous, professional and thorough are just a few of the words that best describe the way Williams works. He patiently answered questions and made sure I understood his explanations of what he was doing and why he was taking his approach to solving our problem. I could not ask for more, which means I will be asking for Williams again.

Work involved replacing a short portion of gas line pipe from meter to house due to a leak. About 2.5feet. Technician showed up on time and workwas performed quickly and of decent quality. Main issue was pricing. We thought the price was pretty steep given the complexity of the job. It may be possible to find someone was at a more reasonable price.

The technician was professional and I was satisfied with the work he performed. My issue is with scheduling the job. He was scheduled for the entire day at my house to begin at 0800 and I received confirmation the night before. The technician didn’t arrive until1300 because he was reassigned by his supervisor to another job site so he was unable to complete all the work at my house. As a result I need to schedule another day for him to come out and complete the job. Very poor planning and communication from the dispatcher/scheduling supervisor as I received zero notification. I called to inquire about arrival and the dispatcher could not provide an estimate of when or if the technician would arrive. Considering how expensive this company is I expected more… no communication, no apology, no offer of a discount because of the inconvenience and need to schedule another day to complete the tasks…

I have had nothing but uselessness from these overpriced hacks. This is the second time I have used them and it will never happen again. This time they were at one of my rentals looking at the breaker box. (I was not present). They said it would be $600 to check the entire box. Way too expensive but he was already there and we were worries about a fire. Well a few minutes later he was gone (I found out after the fact from my tenants) and I was charged the $600. I didnt hear from them for another month! And it was just and invoice in the mail. They never called me to say what was going on and based on time stamps they never even looked it! Just charged my card and went on about his day. If you like to waste your money feel free to give them a call.

I had to have a plumber come out for my upstairs toilet that overflowed. The plumber did come very quickly but did not fix the problem. By the end of the night water was leaking through my ceiling causing my drywall to start to crack. I had to shut off my water valve until a different company could come the next day.

Ed gave a thirty minute precall, which was appreciated. He diagnosed the issue, provided an estimate, and made the repairs - all within twenty minutes of his arrival. Price was fair. Ed, the technician, was very professional, courteous and took the time to explain our options. Would definitely recommend this place and I will call them first with my next issue.

They were great about letting me know the maintenance workers status and arrival time. He explained what he was doing when he was doing it, which is always helpful. All he had to do was reset the breaker, but gave me advice about the unit I have for the future.

I had the technician come out for a service call to repair a low voltage short with my furnace, it ran for about 35 days and the same problem accured again. Called to see if the service was still covered I was told it was, so I made an appointment 30 minutes before the service I was contacted and was told I would have to pay a service call and the cost for the repair. I refuse to pay a $1,000 for the same service twice. I WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN

Wednesday: Our plumber Bruce was exceptional: friendly, extremely courteous, knowledgeable, and thorough. Replacing a thirty-year-old kitchen faucet had its challenges but Bruce handled it well. So well, in fact, that we asked him to take a look at our thirty-year-old water heater which he will be replacing tomorrow.Customer satisfaction leads to return business and good reviews. Bruce gets both. :)Thursday: the new water heater is installed and looking good. Once again Bruce was wonderful though I think I may be at capacity for politeness. :)While doing the installation, Bruce pointed out that the electrical socket for the washing machine (where he went to plug in a tool) was looking like it had burn marks. Now that we have the possibility of water damage minimized, we dont want the house to catch fire. Bruce helped schedule an appointment with Micah on Monday. We look forward to Micah being as exceptional as Bruce.08/04/2021 - Service from Sherman. It was a very small job but one that we could not do on our own. Sherman was on time and handled the bathroom faucet repair quickly and easily. Still recommending Michael & Son.

I have worked in the service industry for over 2 decades and as manager, I am acutely aware that until AI and Robots take over the world, all organizations are only as strong as their weakest link and mistakes do happen. My initial install from Michael and Sons was very disappointing for various reasons – so why on earth am I giving them 5 Stars on this Google Review … one word #Service_Recovery .I reached out to their manager John via email, and he responded immediately. He made no excuses, was unequivocal and focused on same day resolution. He sent out what I think is his “fixer”, guy by the name of Bruce, who turned my prior install into a work of true workmanship with full attention to detail. Mr. Bruce even upgraded my tank to one that would have cost me double what I initially paid for (trust me, I looked it up). He broke down the specs of the new install and explained everything in detail. He even threw in a smoke/CO2 detector and yes, cleaned up after himself. All the while, he made zero excuses for the prior install.Look, I am certain that there are many companies out there who can properly install a water heater. My endorsement here, as a REAL CUSTOMER, is very specific... that Michael and Sons will address all your concerns if you are not 100% satisfied with the job and for that, I am willing to pay slightly more. They may not be the cheapest player in town (I checked), but their Service Recovery is at Sensei level.

John the plumber that serviced my home was prompt, professional and had exceptional knowledge of my problem. He fixed the large cracked sewer pipe in the wall, changed all the piping under my kitchen sink all within 4 hours at the most! He Cleaned all the debris, and left the valuable cast iron pipe in a neat pile for me to recycle. His statement fix it right the first time is something I totally appreciate. They were a bit more expensive than 2 others I priced, but the confidence I feel after watching John work makes it worth it, I have no doubt that the job was done right. I will definitely use Micheal and Sons again, Thank you John!

I was disappointed in the way the plumber spoke to me. It was a tone of condescension and almost disdain from the minute I asked my first question. I wanted to understand the options because it was a large job, my 2nd plumbing estimate, and I knew I was being charged for the call.He said at one point, People who ask alot of questions dont want to do the work. But again, it was not what he said but the tone.I really felt alot of hostility from him and was thoroughly confused about why since I was polite the whole time. No one arrives and i call again, im told that it will be taking a bit longer so please wait. i wait a bit longer(10:40) and call back. i am then told that no one can help me tonight, but that i will be the first customer tomorrow(8:30 AM). i wait until 8:45 AM the following morning before i call back, and i am told that the current electricians are busy and that i will possibly need to wait until the “end of the scheduled period,” which is just closing time, midnight.I called another electrician company and had someone arrive within 15 minutes.I would definitely have rated you one star if your receptionists weren’t so nice. Thanks for wasting my time

The plumber Walter Boyle was professional, friendly and efficient. He did an excellent job of installing a new garbage disposal. Thank you so very much.

Al was very professional and knowledgeable. He explained everything that he did in detail. I will definitely be using their services again.

The technician came to my home, listened to me describe the plumbing issue, used his flashlight to look around and then told me he couldn’t fix the problem. Then he charged me $69. For nothing at all. I will not use this company again.

Our technician MJ was not only early to our expected window but he was honest in his assessment, finished the job efficiently and incredibly professional. I’ll continue to use Michael and Son for our future plumbing (and other) needs!

Michael and Son’s was absolutely fantastic. They were immediate in their response and assistance and their technician was knowledgeable, kind, and helpful.

I have mixed feelings about my experience with Michael & Sons. I scheduled for plumber to come out between 3:30-6, received confirmation that the appoint was scheduled. After waiting til 5:15 pm without hearing anything else, I called to check the eta of the technician. The gentleman (his name is DK) I spoke with placed me on hold for a brief moment before coming back to ensure me someone would be out that evening, they were trying to get in contact with the tech. Two more hours go by; it’s now after normal business hours. I call back for an update and once again speak to DK (this man was the only reason my experience wasn’t a one star rating. He deserves 5 stars, but I have to rate based on over all experience. I’d give DK a raise if I could!), he again ensures me he’ll personally take care of it. We hang up and I get a call from the after hours technician. This man (stated his name was Al) told me he’d been working all day and he was not going to come out for an issue that was not an emergency. Granted, I did not have a pipe burst or anything like that, but because I had taken time off of work because I was promised the issue would be handled that day, I was more than frustrated. After Al told me point blank he would not be coming, he actually laughed at me and my frustration. Now, I get irritated customers can be a bit ridiculous at times, but to straight up laugh at a customer that is trying to address an issue was highly unprofessional and disrespectful. After another call to headquarters, a technician finally came out (it was nearly 9 pm at this point!) and the plumbing issue was resolved. The lack of communication and the severe lack of professionalism would have resulted in a much higher rating, but the inability for this company to fulfill its scheduled obligations or at least communicate to the customer that they may need to be rescheduled was simply unacceptable. DK, however, was the saving grace for Michael & Sons, though I will never recommend anyone use them unless they’re ready to waste hours of their time for a big headache.
