We moved into this apartment on 07/31/2021 this is the worst apartment by far I’ve lived in, building 19 has infestation of roaches and the leasing manager Raquel or whatever supervisor she is was not professional and even had the nerve to yell and disrespect me while on the phone and basically told me I was lying because pest control didn’t see anything when they sprayed like I don’t have pictures or videos I put put my 30 days in September to leave because I won’t live with roaches . But they want you to live here and accept living with roaches I absolutely won’t it’s disgusting! I advise no one to move here this place is very misleading they should of let people know of any infestation like people don’t work hard for their furniture or clothing.DONT MOVE HERE!!!!! I have different videos as well! Since I’m liar

Older buildings with obvious attempts to put a Bandaid on things rather than replace. The apartment was so disgusting when I moved in that a person from the office attempted to do a proper move-in clean. The maintenance staff does deserve 5 stars, though. One of the outlet’s wiring was so old, it melted the socket with nothing plugged in. Maintenance fixed it immediately. Within the 13 months I have lived here, the AC has broken twice and maintenance was here immediately.The office staff, however, is oblivious to any type of resident satisfaction or customer service. It feels more like a dorm at times having office staff check the pool at 5pm on weekdays to close it, coming into buildings to do “smell checks” for certain residents they suspect of having drugs, and actually sending a complex-wide email stating that if a resident has a noise complaint, to contact the police department. They did not add city ordinance quiet times, complex quiet times to the email nor stress that the police should really only be called if there is a domestic dispute causing the noise. I walked to the main floor to see seven Ballwin police at my neighbor’s door for a noise complaint during the middle of the day. I asked the police if I should go back to my apartment and they said, “No, just a noise complaint.”If you chose to renew your lease, you are gifted a renewal gift, which I was extremely excited about and thought that was above and beyond. It turns out that the office staff schedules the “gift” and if it doesn’t fit your life, you can choose to forgo the gift- not reschedule it- give it up. The office staff only knows how to say “no”. They do not even try to think about what would help a resident. It is all about ‘pay your rent and follow our rules, and don’t bother us, because we cannot be bothered to help.’

My wife and I recently moved on property and we love it here. The office staff are always helpful. The maintenance staff keep the grounds beautiful and are quick to respond to work orders. We are looking forward to summer coming to enjoy the pool as well.

If you enjoy a regular sleep schedule dont move here. The staff basically takes your noise complaints and puts a bandaid on it for the next 6 or 7 times as far as i know. If the rude loud neighbors arent enough to sway you, the landscapers and laundry vent cleaning services will definitely make you go insane. They start mowing and cleaning the vents with loud screeching and high-pitched whistling at around 7 am most months. And they dont stop for HOURS. I was in online school and couldnt even pay attention due to splitting headache and the actual inability to hear my professor on the highest volume setting due to the noise. Our neighbors have no regard for common courtesy. They stomp deliberately at all hours of the night. They play with their dog so violently that my walls shake. Im sick of this place not taking me seriously. Never living here again.

Apartments are a bit older but well taken care of. Good management.

Have lived here for 12 years (am now 17). Amazing place with lots of kids from elementary to high school. Awesome amenities (pool, gym, dog park, etc.). Only complaint is the lack of lighting for the sidewalks, many lights are often off or broken. Otherwise awsome.

One of the worst apartment experiences I have ever had with an apartment complex. If you have roommates or are currently a student at one of the local universities I would recommend you to STAY CLEAR of this place. They will make it almost impossible to switch roommates without requiring you to sign an extra year lease. Once you and your roommates move out, they will only send one check out with every roommate’s name on it, and the bank will only cash it if all the individuals are present with ID’s. This is completely unrealistic since most students will all move back to their respective homes. They will refuse to issue a different check or individual checks due to “policy”. They will pinch you for every penny, and raise rates of the apartment while you are there. There are a myriad of other complaints both me, my wife, and other individuals that lived there have had. If you are looking for an apartment complex, and are A LOGAN STUDENT, UNIVERSITY STUDENT, OR HAVE ROOMMATES THAT ARE NOT FAMILY. PLEASE LOOK ELSE WHERE. I hope this review saves some individuals from having the same hassles we have experienced.

Im a new resident and I cant tell you how much I LOVE living here! The entire process was so easy and the staff is so friendly. Ive had a few small issues and maintenance was out right away to get them fixed. They were very courteous and professional! My only downside is that there is an exterior door (which is great for security) but you cant buzz people in, you have to go out to the exterior door to let them in. Small thing in comparison to everything great about living there! I highly recommend Madison Rockwood!

Raquel was very helpful. She took the time we needed to answer all our questions. We look forward to seeing a townhouse.We have looked at a half dozen complexes and this is the only one we would be interested in living at.

My partner and I are very satisfied with Madison Rockwood. The apartments are the nicest in the area for their price, and the staff is always quick to respond to requests (especially for maintenance inside the apartment itself). The amenities are a great plus: gym, sauna, indoor racquetball court, and some freshly-renovated (fall 2019) tennis courts with a one-of-a-kind turf/sand surface you wont find anywhere else in St. Louis! Younger players will love sliding like theyre on red clay, and older players will appreciate how much easier the surface is on their joints. The sand makes you feel like you spent the day at the beach!

I’m currently living in Madison Rockwood at Ballwin. I have nothing bad to say about this residence. They are AMAZING when needing maintenance done in the apartment! They even have a system in place in case a problem isn’t fixed in either 48 or 24 hours. Therefor all problems are fixed within the same day or the the next day. The staff are super friendly and have come to know me just by me coming in to pick up packages. They are always happy to answer questions through emails and respond very quickly. Their pet policy is very fair and even have a pet water bowl and treat jar in their center for if you bring pets into the center. Great place to live and neighbors are all helpful and nice as well. So happy I got to live at this residence. Would recommend!!

My wife and I have lived here in a 2 bedroom apartment with our 8 year old son and our dog for almost three years now and we couldn’t be happier. The staff are all very helpful and friendly. Maintenance has always come out to respond to any issue we’ve had very quickly (often within half an hour of reporting the problem). The grounds are always well maintained. During the winter our parking lot and walkways have always been cleared and ice free by 6am, which is a big plus for me given I’m disabled.They are very pet friendly here, and provide a doggie potty dispenser along with free bags in the middle of the courtyard, which is really nice. There’s also a small dog park area that’s fenced in next to the office. We’ve never had problems with other residents. There’s not been any noise or parking issues. The schools in this area are, hands down, the best in the city, and the elementary school is just a few blocks away. The bus comes and gets the kids right in front of the apartments.The only real negative about our apartment is the washer/dryer combo is located in the walk-in closet, which is difficult for me to get to and use because I’m a big guy. They’re also on the small side, but it’s a small sacrifice compared to all the pluses.We genuinely love living here.

Love the friendly staff which makes any housing issues seem like a piece of cake.. we can over come all difficulties ( which you will have in any living space) with a smiley face and helping personalities. I already recommended my mother -in- law to move in here.. That says a lot doesnt it ! ;)

Awesome place to live. Before moving into these apartments we were miserable living in another apartment complex with a very unfriendly office staff. Coming here and living here since 3 yrs and going into our 4th year, we absolutely love it. the staff is friendly and treats us like family. Always obliging and caring for our housing needs. The maintenance staff is trustworthy and helpful... and very knowledgeable. this place is an all rounder... BTW... love the kitchen space in these 2 bedroom apartments. Stop here and look no further.

Great staff, ok policies and great location. This complex is very strict and has a lot of rules that you have to abide by. My neighbors all seemed respectable. A little high priced for what it is but for this area it is reasonable. Overall I would recommend if you had no other option.

Love this place. The management and staff are top notch and very responsive. Family friendly and pet friendly, the grounds, apartments and amenities are well done, energy efficient , and the common areas and general rules are maintained to afford everyone a safe, lovely, peaceful environment to quietly enjoy. My particular unit is very energy efficient and my utility bills low. Each unit has double paned windows, and when I requested weather stripping around my door, maintenance was happy to comply.

My roommates and I had a better than normal experience at these apartments. The place huge and was in decent shape. The basement flooded once from heavy rain but the staff was cool about cleaning it up for us.The staff was friendly, never had any problems with any service.

Costs way more than they let on. First off they will tell you they got you a lower rate than they were expecting at the current market value, they seem to somehow always do this (convenient marketing trick Im sure). they dont mention the fact that you pay a lot of extra costs such as bill processing fees, water and garbage on top of your unusually high heating and electric bills. Our monthly bill ended up being approx 200 dollars more per month than we were expecting and we were in one of the smallest apartments they had. The last straw was after our first 12 month lease was up they raised our rent by another 100 dollars per month and thats if you sign for another 12 months. If we decided to go month to month they would have doubled our rent. And according to every other resident I talked to before we left, they always raise the rent by a minimum of 100 dollars after the first year. Basically they win no matter what you do once youre there. Either you leave and they get to keep your deposit, or you sign for another 12 months and they raise your rent. The place looks wonderful.... But it ends there.

Only been here for a week but we love it. Raquel is amazing and really made us feel welcome right off the bat. We moved from out of state and she did everything she could to make the process easier on us. The apartments are in a great area for shopping of any kind. We got a 2nd floor walk on unit and it’s almost like we have our own little park (courtyard) outside our door. The only thing I could say is we wish the rent was a little cheaper. It’s really not bad for the area but I wish the inside of the apartment matched the grounds

Love, love, love! I lived in a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom for 5 years here and I decided to make a change and moved into a 1 bedroom 1 bath, which just happened. Raquel,Samantha and the entire staff have made this move as easy as I could have ever imagined. Moving and packing is so stressful but I was able to call them with whatever questions I had (I called with a lot of questions) and they were able and willing to help me at the drop of a dime everytime. Im now in my new apartment and I absolutely love it, I would have never dreamed of moving anywhere else!

Nice community. Calm and in a safe neighborhood. Close to a main Street but yet very quiet.never had a problem with staff. They have always been friendly and helpful. The complex is well kept and clean. As is the clubhouse and gym. The apartment itself is nice and spacious. The appliances can use an update . But they work perfectly fine , fair rate for the quality . We did have an insect problem but the maintenance and pest control came out multiple times and solved it effitiantly . Neibors are quiet and are respectful. Best of all , the building is secure with an intercom.you can only enter with a key or if someone lets u in. Overall a nice calm place to live in. I would recommend it to friends or family looking for a place in the area.

TERRIBLE PLACE TO LIVE IF YOU LIKE BEING COOL IN THE SUMMER TIME IN YOUR OWN HOME!! Took this place about 2 weeks to figure my A/C unit needed to be replaced.when I repeatedly told them..and then they decided to do it on the hottest day of the summer....my house is now almost 90 degrees inside....yayyy...they also constantly change the locks on the front and back doors and dont give us a notice or heads up about it..I came home numerous time and was locked out of my own apartment..just very unorganized incompetent apartment staff..it looks pretty...dont let it fool you.

I had a horrible experience renting my 3 bedroom town home at Madison Rockwood. First of all, we were not given the apartment that we were originally shown. They gave us a SET move in date, and informed us a few weeks before that we could not get that apartment anymore and gave us a different set move in date a MONTH later than the original one.They also overcharged us for our first month.Once we finally moved in, we experienced many more issues. There were numerous pest issues including BUT NOT LIMITED to spiders, mice, and flying termites. I understand every apartment may have bugs, but this was ridiculous and was never fully taken care of throughout our course of stay here (despite the fact that we pay a monthly pest control fee).Additionally, we experienced mold in our basement. It took numerous complaints to have this taken care of. It was all over the walls and ceilings. We had two residents who were allergic and could not even live there until it was taken care of. (There is STILL mold on the ceiling).The management is SO unorganized and unprofessional.Also- before we moved out and experienced flying termites. We had someone from the city of Ballwin come out and inspect the apartment and said that the complex will have to gut out the entire apartment to take care of it. I do not foresee this happening so if they try to lease apartment 237 to you do yourself a favor and decline the offer.I would 10/10 NOT RECOMMEND living at this apartment complex if you value your health. However, I recently moved out and am staying at Retreat at 7 Trails right down the road. They are EXCELLENT.

When I first moved here I wanted a place that would be closer to work. Overall the staff was fine, from the outside everything looks great and their common area is well kept. The issues I had while living there are just terrible and there was a string of work orders and phone calls that eventually I gave up. In the summer it gets so hot in the apartment. I put in a work order and they said the ac worked fine and was cooking my house appropriately. We had a mild summer as St. Louis goes so that concerned me. The ac was constantly on and the temp wouldnt drop below 80 unless it was colder than that outside. I was afraid to leave my dog alone at home because it was so hot in there usually. They said it cooled 10-20 from outside which meant if we had 100+ days why would I even have the ac on. So electric bills were sky high. Next because they offer the free painting I had paint chips actually fall from my living room towards the ceiling on the wall. Which lead me to believe that the foundation needs to be checked. Another thing that lead me to that conclusion was when we were moving stuff in my dresser was about to topple over from the floor being uneven. When I called they said they would have a guy come over and put shams under the dresser legs. Then there was the interaction with my down stairs neighbors. The walls are THIN so I constantly could hear their dog, they would have karaoke at 11 at night on a Thursday. Also their dryer for their clothes went straight into my dryer which maintenece did fix to give me my own dryer outlet. The last week I was their people decided to smoke pot with their windows close. And not like I got this from Colorado weed, no like I met a guy I went to high school with behind the dollar store and gave him $10 kind of weed. Smelled horrible. I never got keys for both doors which lead me getting locked out one night because someone broke their key off in the lock. I also seemed to be the only person cleaning up their dogs poop even with a poop station 3 ft away. People let their kids run wild. So I can tell you there shouldnt be any pedophiles in the apartments because I dont know how one of those kids didnt get snatched with zero parents around. Ever. When it came time to renew my lease they wouldnt give me a rate when I asked. A week later they did when I had 1 month to pay or get out and your rent will spike through the roof. For a one bedroom here id say its maybe worth $500 a month. No where close to what they charge you. The only good thing about this apartment is Raquel. She was amazing. For the amount this place charges there needs to be some serious renovations done to the apartments themselves. Which I have no idea where all the overcharged money goes to since they havent been updated probably ever. Maybe the Windows but even those have a terrible draft.

Lived there with my husband, the stuff was the most disrespectful group of people Ive ever met in my life. When I had problems in our unit, took them weeks to get someone out. They were rude everytime we spoke with them, and just all around the worst place Ive ever lived.

Horrible place!! The staff members are exceptionally rude! I came home numerous times and didnt have a place to park in my own lot. One day it was late when I got off work and I parked in a covered spot that I knew no one had. They fined me $100!!!! && Charged me a whole months rent after my contract was up even though I left around the 10th!! And my neighbor had a dog that woke me up all hours of the night even though I complained about it ten times!! Run away. Run far away!!!

DO NOT MOVE INTO THIS APARTMENT THERE ARE CHEAPER NICER PLACES YOU CAN FIND CLOSE BY! I still live at this place. But, it is awful! It got taken over by Madison and at first I thought this was great because they said they were putting all this money into it. But then my contract ended and the apartment told me that rent out of a contract is about $2,400 and THE ONLY way she would fix it is if I signed another contract. Of course my rent went wayyyyy up. I didnt realize till after that it was illegal for them to do this and I got tricked...scammed into staying in a small apartment where my neighbor who has the same exact place pays $100 less.Then they told me if I sublease they wont give me my deposit back or make the apartment look more decent for the new tenants. Tell me thats not bad! I hate this place and cant wait to leave. In short this place made my life a lot more difficult and no place should do that. I cant explain how much I feel betrayed and black mailed by my own apartment. They are tricky be careful and stay far far away or youll be sorry or broke.

There is No bugs and its safer because the doors are locked and theres buttons so you can open the door.
