I am so pleased with Shawn Khan the application specialist who came to my home to do a termite inspection. HE WAS ON TIME. I had a small issue with a 45 yo BAY WOOD WINDOW that I had replaced with new vinyl one and noted that the skirt had some old termite activity and some wood rot. I had the window men remove and replace the rotten wood. I did not see any live activity nor did I ever seen any in my 25 years living in my home. I did use a commercial spray on my own as preventative measure as well. I showed Shawn all of the photos I had taken of the window/and frame that still is in process of being completely installed. Not only did Shawn praise me for what I did , he then assessed my entire home and said I do not need his service. He was so kind, truthful, transparent and just a real nice man. Got great vibes even before I met him while I spoke to him on the phone when I was making an appointment. He mentioned he would not sell me anything I dont need. This is a first for me EVER, I cant say how happy I am that it was he who came to my home rather than some slick fast talking and pushy exterminator salesman. I cannot say enough about Shawn, he visited only 15 minutes after we initially spoke and from then on was responsive, informative and an absolute pleasure to work with.Since we werent sure what the pest was at first he put out humane traps and visited every other day or when I contacted him. Then, when we discovered what the actual wildlife was, he quickly changed course and took action.In the end, problem solved and of course, will not hesitate to call again for any pest issues we have in the future.Thank you, Shawn!

After 23 years in our house we suddenly had a minor cockroach problem just before Thanksgiving. I called around and had 2 separate companies come in for an inspection. Terminix wanted a 1 year service plan and wanted us to dismantle our entire kitchen. The 2nd company was unreliable and even claimed 24 hour customer service but never answered the phone after 5pm. I left a message with Sean from Universal and he called back the next day. We spoke for about 20 minutes or so as I explained the issue and he informed me about the solution. We had a minor roach problem of seeing only 1 or 2 every few days. He indicated it most likely entered the house as an egg in a delivery box or from BJs when using their boxes to pack up the groceries. Side note, all Amazon x-mass packages were immediately thrown out and I now use my own plastic bins when shopping at BJs. I scheduled an appointment for Saturday and Warren showed up on time and was extremely professional, helpful and informative. Over the next 24 hours we discovered about 12 roaches either dead or dying. Over the next few days there were a few isolated roaches and then none. Sean called me up about 10 days later to follow up and by that time I forgot we even had them because they were all gone. Its been 2 months and there have been zero cockroaches anywhere in the kitchen or rest of the house for that matter. The one time service was a well worth the minor expense compared to the corporate companies. I hope I never have to bring an exterminator into my home again, but if I do, I will be calling Sean and Universal Exterminating.

I normally do not write reviews, however I felt this one is well earned. They know how to eliminate all kinds of pests. They charge a fair price. Service technician was knowledgable, the office staff is reassuring and they company did exactly what was promised, from first call to last.

I heard something in my wall but thought it was just the branches of my tree. Then I saw a bunch of rice on my stove, but we hadnt eaten rice. I deduced it must be a mouse. Warren came out to my house and found the opening. He sealed it up and now there are no more sounds. Great thing is, i have a one year guarantee, the office said if i even suspect there are mice again, just call and they will come right out.

Ive worked for several companies and this one is one of the better operated ones. Management is hands on and truly cares about employees and customers. Its not justabout making money, but actually satisfying customer.

Bugs. Creepy Crawly nasty things that carry disease and scare a girl when she walks barefoot through her kitchen! I never thought Id be the girl living with BUGS! But here I was, new in Williamsburg, and there were BUGS in my house! I could have moved back home....gone grovelling back to mom saying I cant make it on my own. I could have set the place on fire, surely that would have eliminated the concern, but Id still end up back with mom! Something else had to be done. I was embarassed to ask my neighbor if they had BUGS too! So instead, I asked a coworker. Sara had recently used Universal Exterminating for mice and assured me theyd be able to help with my BUGS! The girl that answered told me I had to empty my cabinets for treatment. Was she kidding? Did she really believe Id have my food and dishes in there with the BUGS???!! No way! Everything was safely in totes until an exterminator could come by! She was able to get someone there that night! What a wonderful man he was! He came at 8pm, sprayed my whole apartment and swept up all the dead BUGS that were falling out of my walls. GROSS!!! He allowed me to take pictures to show my landlord. Best thing is, 2 weeks later, he was back and now I no longer see any BUGS! And their price was very fair. For this grossed out, panicked girl who wanted same day service, Id have paid a lot more but they didnt try to take advantage of that at all. Id give 10 stars if I could!

First time in my life I had mice! I killed 10 and got 1 tail! I was in panic state to say the least. Even the dog wouldnt go in the kitchen!A friend recommended Universal based on her positive experience she had. When I call I was pleasantly spoken to and my concerns where taken seriously. An appointment was set up for three days later.Appointment was kept and representative kept me informed as to arrival.The technician was very courteous and very knowable about my problem. She tracked down were the mice were getting in and sealed it. She then found were they were hiding out and put poison around and assured me that it would not harm my dog. She put poison packets around in anyplace she thought might harbor the mice.Lo and behold no more mice! I was impressed not only with the elimination of the mice but with the total professionalism of the entire staff.I would defiantly recommend Universal Exterminators to everyone for mice. I also think that if I had any kind of infestation I would use them.

Exceptional customer service and knowledge. One of the best experiences I have had in maintaining my multi family, multi use building in Brooklyn.

Called for an estimate for termites and ants. Salesman comes to my house, gives us details of what the tech is going to do and then gives us a price. I call the office to schedule an appointment, tell the girl on the phone (Regina) what the salesman said was going to be done and the price he had quoted me. Regina says no way thats the right quote, not for what we are going to do. Call the salesman ( Shawn Khan ) and ask him if he quoted me the wrong price, he tells me no absolutely not, Ill take care of it. I call Regina at the office and schedule an appointment. Couple of days before the tech is supposed come, Regina calls and tells me due to the rain in the forecast, ( the chemicals they put in the ground around the perimeter of thehouse ) will not work unless theres 3 consecutive dry days. Im thinking, great, they want to do the right job. Boy was I wrong. I scheduled 3 appointments and got the same lame excuse. Instead of being up front and telling me the salesman gave me the wrong quote, they gave me the run around for 6 weeks. What a pathetic, unprofessional way to do business. Stay away from these people! Unprofessional, unreliable and dishonest . Zero stars
