Went in for a check engine light. African American man behind the counter was not helpful at all. Made zero attempt to help me figure out the code or what the issue was. I left and ended up going somewhere else where I was assisted. Why advertise that you assist in checking out check engine lights if that is not the case? Place is only good if you just need to buy something quickly but dont expect any actual customer service.

Went to the one on Elam Rd. so they could do a check engine light test,but because of covid19 they arent allowed to get inside the car. DYI is how theyre going. I tried to find where to plug it in at but gave up when I couldnt find it.

No of urgency when it comes to customers. They gas a line of 12 people and only let one person handle the line while a couple of others did other things around the store. Everyone could have helped and gotten the line down in so little time. They do not care how long customers have to wait. I did wait in the long line and purchased my products but to be able to post this review accurately.

I just got out of this AutoZone about 20 minutes ago, the manager Shanika Gains was the most unprofessional manager ever. I witnessed her being rude to a non English speaker.. I called her regional office to put a complaint on her. As well an employee from that same store mentioned she’s like that with more customers we just have to be the “lucky” one to not get treated like that.

I just want to start off saying that your business hours are listed not only on Google maps but also on your establishments door. When your supposed to be open and your not its a bad look then to have the women in the store to come to the door and instead of opening the door they watch my husband walk back to the car when he went back to the door because clearly both women inside was standing at the door he went back to it and it was still locked and it was past time for the store to be open. Then not even 3 mins after the store opened the white lady came outside and stood next to the entrance smoking. Not sure what kind of people you hire where the employees dont want to work and just stand by the door blowing smoke on whoever comes in. How do you walk out for a cigarette and you barely just opened the doors. After opening time.

I went to go return something cause it wasnt the right part and the manager told me it wasnt her fault said I needed to go to a mechanic if I want the right part and it just my side mirror I was replacing. Not usually one to leave bad reviews because I also work in the customer service industry, and I know how badly a negative review can not only affect the store but also the salesman/employee but I felt that this one had to be said. I came in twice and was unfortunately helped by the same gentleman (I believe his name is Christopher Correa, an older gentleman. Possibly got his name wrong) he was very rude the first time. Made no effort to engage and was extremely condescending. I don’t know much about cars, and I’m sure he knew that because he made it a point to let me know I didn’t know anything. But I gave Christopher Correa the benefit of the doubt the FIRST time, I thought maybe he was having a tough day ( I know I have them ). The second time I came in was like the first, but worse. Same guy, worse attitude. He treated me like I was the most unintelligent person on the planet-not a very good feeling. And I hate to be the person to point this out because it’s 2019 and unfortunately this is still a big issue, but Christopher seemed more eager and upbeat to help out the white customers. I dislike that this still happens, and these days it is very easy to accuse someone of this type of behavior but it is very evident with Christopher Correa. Each time I go in he has a very positive attitude with the white customers but quickly shifts his attitude and directs his arrogance towards people of color. (Not a very good mindset to have when the majority of your customers coming in are people of color, brown and black). He is especially rude to the Hispanics that have a hard time speaking English. Each time I go in there is at least one person in there that can barely speak English, and if Christopher helps them they walk out looking disrespected and insulted. I know this is the United States and English is the predominant language, but this is also Texas so you’re bound to bump into someone who speaks another language. Have some respect and decency to grab someone who can help better the situation. I’ve read the other reviews for this location and I’ve seen AutoZone respond to a couple of them saying we do not tolerate or accept these situations but I see no action. AutoZone, what are you doing to better your people and prevent situations like this? Again-AutoZone! What are you doing to better your people and prevent situations like this?!

Went in for a battery and asked for a 740 cold cranking amp. The store employee said that they did not have a 740 and gave us an 800. I originally went in only because my car was having a hard time starting on very cold mornings. A female employee installed the first battery which did not respond. Second battery was installed by an employee by the name of Joe which made it spark. Gave us a long sequence to get the car started and it never would. Finally drove it at 30-40 mph home. Worked for a few days once we had it flashed and now not working. Autozone refuses to accept any responsibility for a battery that they installed incorrectly and caused damage! The store manager was VERY rude and unprofessional. Do yourself a big favor and go to OReillys, they know what they are doing and better on customer service by far!

Very very rude at first... I went in too exchange a 50.00 set of headlights . The mgr then ask the other employee if I had came in with them,or do we need too watch the camera.. WTF! watch the camera fir what? Ive been a long time customer too this store ,a long time customer... The other employee verified me bringing them in as well!!!! Now Im irate being stereo typed ,Im sure because of my tats. Other than that,Im a very clean cut guy,very respectful,and have a good job,and di not steal nothing.... He finally exchanged the lights for the correct ones. I bought high beam and needed low beam,no money back penny for penny exchange. SMH why would I be put through so much over that? After I named off like 8 or 9 cars of mine or that I previously owned and he seen them all in the computer. It may have made him feel better ,but I honestly dont think so.. I believe with all my heart he though I stole the headlights. That is no way too judge anyone,but someone who you can verify all their cars etc. No its not Ive spent lots of money here,and have earned alot of points and met alot of people here at this store. I believe I will be looking for a new auto parts store too . Im not in my teens or my 20s or 30s ,very bad judgement on the Mgrs part.. I will update with a name too staple too these very very judgmental actions..

I dont think I have ever left a review before. Went to Auto Zone on Elam Rd today for a new battery, to help out someone not capable of fixing their own battery. The line was long but all staff was helping someone non stop. I thought I was just buying a battery and was going to install myself. Roy was the employee I got. He was so amazing. He first tested my altinater and battery. He then put in a new battery. He was amazing and releived me of a huge stress. I can not thank him enough for what he did. He had no clue my life needed a kind hand at the moment and he was there to give it.

Im sorry autozone over the years has went down hill.i only go there for my warranty parts because over the past years I recently purchased my part store them in my warranty are all lifetime but anytime may I have the chance to buy another part from Advance you order online get a 20% discount on any parts that you buy and pickup in store the same day thats a deal thats a hell of a bargain it sucks AutoZone cant compete with the other competitors around them

Is there a minus stars? I have never been treated so rude ever! Went in saturday afternoon. Heavy set man asked for my info. I didnt know if my car was a st, sxt or ? I asked if he wanted to go out and look at my car and he rudely said No i do not, and i need that info. He had just been outside helping a younger girl. Guess i was too old to be intresting enough for him to help me. Made several rude remarks so i left and drove my already over heating car to mesquite to another auto zone. They were awesome!! She said he should have asked for my vin # and looked up my info. I will never go back there and have told this story to everyone i can so they dont go to a rude store.

Worst AutoZone EVER. Customer service doesnt even exist here. They give you the wrong parts and act like its your fault. They wont exchange a faulty part or wrong part without giving you a hassle and trying to charge you extra. They wont help you even if you ask. And to top it off they will tell you they cant help you because they dont have enough people when you are the only one in the store and there are three to four employees. Screw that! I will never go back to a place that clearly doesnt wasnt my money.
