Wife and I seen a property was for rent and got really excited, but couldnt call until the office was open. We called and the receptionist on the other line seemed really upset about something. I rented from Ascend when I lived in Bakersfield from December 2017 to August 2019. The application process was easy online and I was approved for the apartment quickly. Staff were always friendly and helpful. I miss how huge the unit was but I had to relocate.

People are unprofessional, when you want to speak to a manager he magically is gone and not available for two weeks, when the day before youre told hell call you back. Not professional at all and $50 app fee from about 10 applicants for one property, huge rip offs

I cant say enough how happy I am with picking Ascend property management to help us find a home for rent. The first week of 2019, I lost my mom suddenly and unexpectedly at 53. She left her 2 year old dog behind, Tiffany. There wasnt anyone that could take her, so I brought her home with me. Except my partner and I live at Jasmine Parke, and they dont allow animals at our apartment, and they also dont have a yard for a large dog. We thought looking for a new place to live was going to be stressful, and it was at first. We poured over listings on Zillow, not really knowing where to start. We noticed that Ascend had nice properties in the northwest, which is close to work so we decided to go down there. I cannot tell you how thankful I am for Katie, at the front desk. She took all the stress and worry out of this process. She guided my partner and I though the application process, and let us know everything we needed to provide. I initially was looking at a property that was a little further away from our ideal neighborhood, then I happened to see Katie and she told me about a listing they just got that was in our preferred neighborhood, that might be perfect for us. She was absolutely right, this house was walking distance from my work, and had a great yard for our dog. We ended up going with the house Katie found us, it ended up being absolutely perfect. Im really impressed with the staff over at Ascend property management, and I highly recommend them. As far as I could tell, they had the best selection of houses for rent out of all the property management companies. And the application process was pretty painless too. Whether youre looking for a property to rent, or looking to have your property professionally managed, Ive never seen the level of dedication and expertise at another property management company in Bakersfield. So thank you Katie, and everyone over at Ascend for making a difficult situation easy to navigate.

My mom has been a tenant with ascend for about a year. They took over the apartments and have made things so much better here for her. Ashley helped a lot with issues my mom has had for years and took care of them. They updated the outside court yard, fixed repairs when my mom had a big plumbing problem, and just are very nice to deal with. I have to say with covid- 19 looking for a property to rent at this time has been hard. I was fortunate enough to come across a post for a property that is managed by Ascend. I have had the great pleasure of speaking with Katie the Receptionist/ Administration Assistant. She has been so helpful, although the properties I was calling about were longer available. She took down all my information, what I was looking for, price range,location and said she would keep me in mind if anything came up. I thought well Im sure I wont hear back from her. But I did, even though it was something I could not take she still reached out. She is keeping a look for me out. Thank you Katie.

Escrow is closing on a home I purchased in Bakersfield. I am relocating and wanted to rent it out so I can possibly move back into my home in a few years. I googled Ascend Property Management and got in touch with Ms. Ashley Porterfield. She gave me information over the phone and I had questions that I felt need to be answered in person. Ascend property management is a great company to rent from! They have always been so kind and helpful all the girls in the office Katie, Kristine, Ashley, Etc. When it comes to maintenance problems they do their best with repairs. It is really up to the owners so sometimes you have to pull a leg to get something fixed but it always works out and they are always super fast about the repairs. We did recently move out of one of their rentals because we bought a house but I would definitely recommend them to any one!

Called about a rental and management services and went into their office. Katie greeted me with a smile as soon as I walked in. She offered me water or coffee which I thought was pretty nice of her. I had questions about managing my moms house and Ashley was really helpful. She answered all of my questions and gave me some info papers to give to my mom. I think her name was Cristy? Or Christine? She was at the desk when I brought my keys back and asked me how the checkout went and if I had any questions or recommendations about the house. She was really nice and gave my son a piece of candy on the way out. Such a nice office and wonderful Staff
