Sheraton properties are no longer what they used to be.No hot water. Enough said. Stay somewhere else.

We rented two rooms:Room #1: had water stain on ceiling. Looked like old stains. It would take an hour to paint over them. No attention to basic maintenance.Room #2: should have listened to the reviews about cockroaches. Inexcusable. How do they let this continue to go on and don’t address it?If you have the ability to stay elsewhere do so. You will regret staying here. Gross. Management clearly not fit to manage this place.The people that review this place anything but zero or one star have no standards.

Positive: Its an old stand by. Usually no problems. Negative: This trip I stayed in room 315 and there were little baby cockroaches in the bathroom. Probably elsewhere in the room as well but very visible in the bathroom. YUCK!!

I called specifically about the business center before booking, because I have work that must be private. They said it is private and turns out it is just a desk in the middle of the lobby!! I told them my situation that I will lose money if I cant work and I cannot work there and this was the only reason that I booked the hotel. When I asked if they could accommodate me with one of their 10 empty conference rooms they said they would have to charge me! Unbelieveable! They just gave me the card of the general manger which I didnt even bother contacting.Also, the room keys were constantly not working. I only stayed 2 nights and had to replace my keys more than 6 times.They do not understand hospitality at this place. I would not recommend.

It was just ok. The new Hyatt was sold out. I thought since its a Sheraton it would be a lot nicer and super clean, I was wrong... Its old and everything needs updating. Clean your furniture Sheraton!

Nightmarish is an understatement for this hotel. I checked in to this hotel and even reserved for four nights, an hour of stay here I wanted to leave ASAP. I would have left if I was not so tired from trip from the Bay area. The Bathroom had hairs in the bathtub evidently not cleaned. The bedding sheets and comforter gave my cousin nasty itches, maybe because they FAILED to clean them and there were nasty stains in both their sheets! The bathroom seems to be moldy underneath the sink, the room smells of cigarette in spite of requesting a no smoking room. The worse experience waking up in the middle of the night seeing vague images of a long haired woman in the empty side of the bed and a boy sitting right in front my cousins bed. I have had creepy experiences but this hotel takes the cake! HAUNTED! Maybe because very few people stay in their rooms, other inhabitants have been occupying them. I would NEVER recommend this place. It needs a good renovation and a blessing from a Priest because it reeks of bad juju.

Positive: The facilities, the grounds and especially the room were a lot nicer than I was expecting. Negative: The layout of the buildings and rooms was not explained very well and we ended up walking around for awhile before finding our room.

Perfectly adequate hotel. Outside grounds with plants and fountains make it a more relaxing place in Bakersfield. Easy walk to a couple of restaurants and grocery store. Restaurant at the hotel was surprisingly good! Rooms are a little dated and not perfect, but clean.

The front desk guy was great the hotel was not. This used to be the crown jewel in Bakersfield, now its run down, the bed was awful, 3 flat pillows for a king bed and only 1 facial washcloth for 2 people for 2 nights. Paid $400 for 2 nights and was told breakfast wasnt included in our rate. The restaurant and bar is hardly open, probably because the hotel has very few customers. I wont go back, stay elsewhere for alot less.

Positive: Nothing at all. Negative: Disgusting and dirty! Better off at a motel 6! Carpets are gross stains everywhere. I took pictures of everything. It looked like a crime scene. Bed sheets and curtains super dirty! We checked in amd right out! The pictures are lies! Its a 0 star hotel

Staff is great and thats why I gave 3 stars. However, everywhere you look in this hotel there is dirt, stains bugs, and it is filthy. Please hire more cleaning staff, it was not good seeing a roach in your fitness center. There were no towels to clean equipment or water available in fitness room, that is not good.

Positive: The staff was excellent. Negative: I expected more. My room was basic when I chose an executive option. The patio just ended up being a couple chairs outside the room next to the pool. The hotel is outdated. Needs remodeling and more cleaning in small areas. Pictures are misleading.

Very nice setting .It was like a private country club. A Gazebos with waterfalls rolling green area.And the pool was huge and a great Jacuzzi too.The rooms were spacious and Clean and Quiet.I travel alot.Very nice place and the front desk Mrs. Gonzalez was very helpful and friendly.As you can see the rooms.Really nice.I took those pictures and they look just like the brochure.

Old, dilapidated, poorly maintained, and not secure. The Starwood Preferred Guest floor security doors dont work. There are 5 different buildings but no elevators. Who designs an outdoor hotel where its over 100 degrees all summer?

Great staff very comfortable bed and shower towels, pool is great great place to get the rest and relaxation you need. And the Bristol, (the restaurant)is open for breakfast and dinner.

Used points for the night, worth it of course. However, I looked at the price which is around $120. This is just a ridiculous price for this hotel. You can get a nice Hyatt for the same money nearby. I don’t have much to say really as it’s just a normal $70-ish motel, clean but not super clean. Everything in the room is very dated, kind of like in American mid-west style movie. Anyway the point is I don’t really recommend this hotel if you have a budget of $100+.

Underwhelming. Best way to describe. Older hotel. Doesnt seem to be well maintained. Room was large, clean, and the bed was fairly comfortable. You can hear every word from the hallway if anyone is walking by. But it was quiet through the night. And I slept well.The photos on Marriotts website shows a beautiful pool area. Reality didnt match.The biggest shock to me was the lack of an elevator. My room was on the second floor, and when I checked in they directed me to the location of the stairs. I asked for the elevator because I had my suitcase (of course - Im staying overnight in a HOTEL). She told me there wasnt one! How is that possible?The price was good, so if youre budget conscious and just want a comfortable, clean place, this is a good choice.

Positive: Staff and location are great. Bed was decent and I slept well. Negative: Very dated hotel. I’m surprised by the industry rating. There was a dip where the water would pool in the tub. Television was starting to go out. Wallpaper starting to lift in areas.

This hotel looks better on pictures, it looks dirty and super old, the lady’s at the front desk has an attitude and seemed like they hate their life. This is a motel not a hotel

Positive: I’ve stayed before and like the place. Usually clean. Negative: Extremely disappointed this time around. Boiler was down room was 64 degrees and would not heat up. Hair on the bathroom walls and throughout the restroom. Smell of smoke through the hallway even though non smoking.

Absolutely horrible! We got here and the carpets were stained so bad it was disgusting. There were blood stains on the floor and the curtains. They moved us into another room and right when we walked in we got hit in the face with water dripping from the ceiling. It was leaking so bad the floor was soaked all over. They moved us into another room that was supposedly not available before (a patio room) but was all of a sudden available. We stayed there for the rest of our stay only to wake up covered in bed bug bites. One of us brought them home with us not knowing and are still dealing with the issue. Now I know why they had so many patio rooms that were empty but not available to stay in and when they had nowhere else to put us they put us in one of the bed bug infested rooms. The worst part is they won’t even give us our money back. I wouldn’t have wrote this review but it’s been weeks of us leaving messages for the GM Andrea and she refuses to call us back. We have left several messages for the front desk who tell us they personally have told her to call us back. We spoke with the manager Kelly and she set up a phone appointment for Andrea the GM to call us the next day at 10am and we waited for her call and she never called. We have left her voicemails on her personal inbox and she doesn’t even have the courtesy to return our call and give us even a simple apology. Horrible customer service, disgusting place and they simply don’t care about their customers. It honestly seems like they are shutting down permanently soon and that’s why they can careless. It honestly sickens me the way we have been treated. I work in customer service and I would NEVER just completely ignore a customers legitimate concerns. Very unprofessional. I will be going to the top on this one.

Awesome hotel for the price great location very secure facility where each floors room access is internal. The staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone needing lodging in the Bakersfield area the center of the facility is very nicely landscape with beautiful water features as well as the swimming pool area. Definitely book on Priceline though as you will be able to save 40% off their standard rates immediately

I stayed here to sleep not to be woken up by the loud music and motorcycle Gang doing donuts in the parking lot they wouldnt do anything about

Although a little dated, it is clean and accommodating, with a nice campus/courtyard kind of feel. Im sure after they stop succumbing to the COVID mandates it will be a lively and restful place. The company I work for houses us here on our away from home days, and I will say the hotel management and staff do go above and beyond the contractual requirements.

Two towels for 3 people with half a roll of toilet paper. Called the front desk asking for more none ever came. I had to walk down there in the morning to get them.

Positive: I did not like the hotel at all. It smelled bad. When I pulled my sheets there was rodents in between the sheets . Negative: Besides the rodents company that I had and as well the smell was awful. I it noisy

I love this place, always nice and clean rooms !

Positive: Restaurant is pretty good. Negative: Clientele. My wing of the hotel appeared to be occupied by gang members, who were outside working on and cleaning their lowered pickup trucks. They didnt bother me at all but this is not the kind of place I would want to stay at again or recommend.

I didnt stay there I was only there taking part in a Lifeline service they were offering.

Positive: The front desk young lady was very friendly and ease of check in. Negative: I felt the room had not been cleaned as well as it should. The carpet had orange sticky stains in it, I found a ice tea bottle behind the drape that had chewing tobacco floating in it, no ice bag in the ice bucket. Re-cleaned the room 😟

Not a 3 star hotel. Tv was decades old. There was noise coming from the other room at 5:30 am in the morning. Tried calling front desk, found out rooms phone was not working :(Called using my phone then also after 20 minutes later noise was coming. Called again. Then maybe they sent someone.Mosquito (i think only one :) ) was there in my room.Location was good. Swimming pool and Jacuzzi looked good though.

Positive: The best thing that I liked about the room was the location and friendliness of the staff. Negative: I didn’t like that my room was so dirty. The carpet had stains all over. The sheets if one bed had yellow dirty stains. And the curtains on the window were also dirty, it looked like food stains.

This hotel has amazing views in reference to the landscaping around the facilities. The hot tub and pool were nice. They even had a fire pit!! Winning for anyone wanting something to gather around or enjoy with 2. I will be back to enjoy the Grill and more outside time. The river through the hotel were nice to enjoy with the gazebo over looking a little pond. I really enjoyed my stay and walking around. It’s close to shops and fast food so no car needed. It’s only a 5 minute walk. The staff were very accommodating and pleasant to work with.

I was so disappointed with this hotel. My room had big stains on the carpet and the room smelled bad..and i pulled out a kleenex and they were all wet..I didnt even want to go there.I have thousands of reward points and this was the first time I had used them, wished I hadnt wasted them. I will not stay here again.Hopefully I wont catch anything from this stay.

DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL. I will not be redundant and say that this hotel is run down like the rest of the comments but its accurate. However, I will say that my car was broken into, window broken, and items stolen. Avoid the heartache and money.

This place was unbelievable dirty and gross. I went to stay for 3 days and decided not to stay because of the dirty room and the roaches I saw in the hotel. With all other hotels increasing their cleaning policy ( due to covid) this place decided to decrease theirs. I refused to stay here and picked a nice hotel that was actually around the same price. Save yourself the trouble and stay somewhere else. If you do you will be sorry.

Positive: Location was great. Negative: Shower diverter knob was missing. Water flooded the bathroom no matter what we tried. Sheets had old stains. It used to be a really nice place. Not anymore. Only one entrance was operational in the building we were in. Other was broken.

We have been at the 4points Bakersfield three times on our way to Mammoth or Tahoe. It is such a cozy place. We always get the best service. Michelle was a doll. She was super sweet during check in. Thanks

Do not stay here!! Rude staff at check-in, arrived to check in on 09/23/2020 Wednesday evening, I had booked a two queen room with patio stay. Did not get what I booked was put on the second floor in the very dark scary looking building no patio, clerk was very rude and did not try change my room at all he kept saying was he cant and didnt have anything else, which was hard to believe because the parking lot was empty, when I arrived the pictures on the website are very deceiving the hotel does not look like that, it is rough looking, dirty, and outdated. Did not stay here and will never book here again. STAY AWAY FROM THIS MOTEL! would leave no stars if I could.

The rooms are very clean and classy. This property despite being budget was much better than a pricey courtyard property Im forced to stay at in a different city by my employer. There was no fridge or microwave in my room, but that has been becoming an increasing trend across the board lately.

This is not a three and a half star hotel. The decor is outdated. My first from I could not get the air conditioner to cool below 76 degrees. They moved me to a second room where the air conditioner did work however the TV did not work it only had about four working channels. I asked the front desk about it and they said try to unplug it and plug it back in. This is my first time staying at a four points. Probably will be my last.

Has the best food and everything on their service is amazing and of course their coffee is better than Starbucks

My best friend paid for the room however I had made the reservations, so when we went to check in at first they told us no we couldnt. After speaking to the night manager we checked in and the room we had reserved was not the room that we reserved. The rooms are clean however a little outdated. There are no USB ports to charge your phone so if you dont have a plug youre kind of screwed. There was a desk in the room however no chair and a half a role of toilet paper. I wont be staying there again.

The lobby was very nice and clean; however, the room I stayed in was not. There was mold in the gout in the shower, the wallpaper was peeling off right in the center of a wall, and the TV guide was broke so the only way to watch TV was to flip through the channels. Overall, the stay was nice and I did enjoy the bed but the room was an overall disappointment.

Pros:- There is hot water.- There are beds. The pillows are soft.- The AC in our room worked.Cons:- There were rat droppings in the hallway.- There was supposed to be coffee in the lobby, but there was none. I understand that full breakfast cant be provided in the dining room due to COVID, but really disappointing that something as basic as coffee to-go wasnt available either.- There was a mosquito IN my bed. Somehow it got trapped there when the bed was made, I guess, because it started biting me immediately after I got in. We checked for bedbug droppings - none. Then we yanked all the blankets off and found the bloodthirsty culprit. I have no idea how this happened and can only assume that I was just very unlucky. But Im never getting in a hotel bed without taking all the blankets off first ever again.- The hot tub was extremely murky and off-color when turned off. I can only assume this is the breeding ground from which my bed mosquito came.- There are few outlets that are easy to get to. I had to plug my phone charger in behind the nightstand and then I forgot it was there and I am not going back to Bakersfield for it.- It is located in Bakersfield.

Too run down. Needs total upgrade.

Positive: Nothing i did not have a good stay Negative: The room was not cleaned right. My 1 1/2 year old found a chip and a permanent black marker around the bed area that was not ours. I also found a dirty sock under a bed when i was cleaning up to leave. My key stopped worked at 11am while i was taking stuf

This location has the most comfortable beds of any hotel Ive ever stayed. The staff says they are getting ready to remodel. May I recommend they replace the beds with the same ones same brand and style? I love the staff here they are so warm and friendly and when I returned for a second trip, they greeted me by name and remembered what room I like. Excellent hospitality!

It was a very pleasant stay for me and my family. We were there for my conference. The room was spacious and clean, with large and comfy bed. Pool area is really nice. The staff was very kind. They were able to give us a late check out beacuse of prolonged meeting with no hesitation. Overall great experience for us!

One of the worst hotel I have ever stayed in my whole trip. They don’t have any humanity against their guest. We checked in this hotel last week Wednesday as soon as I entered my room to check if everything is clean, this is what I found in the bath tub A SPIDER (welcome gift). When we called front desk and told them to change the room they replied saying they are already full with no room left to change, just imagine how they have lied in this covid-19 times their hotel was full and when we asked for service a lady name Andrea from front desk responds saying there is no service available until 11 am mrng.Just imagine the situation, we drove the whole day and were tired when we reached hotel abt 11 pm but they did not have any courtesy against their guest.

1. Request for room on 1st floor due to health conditions was disregarded2. Room allotted was NOT CLEAN3. OTHER room given in exchange was having issue with AC. It did not work whole night

The bed was totally comfortable. The bath tub was terrible. The water wouldnt drain out of the tub , and had to call maintenance to come drain the tub. I had to call the maids to clean the tub after the maintenance man made a mess. After all that madness the next two says were good. The End.....

Very clean hotel and friendly staff. The pool was also very clean and there were no people. I went for a swim and the water temperature was perfect. The only problem we encountered was that the a/c in the room was extremely loud. It was a little annoying but it began like two hours before check out so we just dealt with it.

Feels like it’s going out of business. This is our seventh year visiting grandkids in Bakersfield and we always stay here. Felt sorry for everyone working here this time. Low service, grounds show disregard, hedges grass overgrown. No daily maid service not even towels. Feels like BK is next step. We loved this place and will miss them.

This is a really nice hotel. The ambience and staff are first rate. Beds are very comfortable. Rooms and buildings are slightly dated, but adequate. Fitness center is top notch, as is their Bistro Cafe.

This isnt the worst place Ive stayed at but its not really a place that has such a welcoming vibe. Im not a really picky person but this place sets a new bar for me. The room remind me of the old Las Vegas hotels; I thought I stepped back in time. If there wasnt the broken flat screen TV I wouldve believed so. The room is pretty clean, mystery stains here and there one on the sheets and one on the carpet but its nothing that grosses me out. I got a few bug bites while sleeping not sure where it came from but I am left wondering if there are bed bugs there which made sleeping difficult for me through the night. I ended up checking out early and left to LA a day sooner because of that. I didnt want to pick up my my girlfriend and my daughter and have them deal with bed bugs. Luckily I decided to stay here alone on the first night while they stayed at my in laws house an extra night. I also want to note that the room does have a musty smell aforementioned but once you get the A/C unit running it goes away a bit. The staff are friendly enough maybe at a minimum level at the worst if that makes sense, something I dont usually see at any Marriott owned location but the Category 1 this hotel received on the Marriott Website makes sense for the service and room condition I received. I read reviews before hand about the service and rooms but the amount of points to get 2 nights was a deal I couldnt pass up even though Ive read the buyer beware reviews. On the plus side Im only out of 8,000 Marriott Bonvoy points for a 2 nights stay instead of $200. This place is good for someone who is crashing for only one night and I repeat one night. I wouldnt pay what the hotel is charging per room for what I got, I would recommend looking somewhere else before here. For my fellow Marriott Members I liked the Fairfield Inn on Rosedale near Costco a lot, I usually stay there if I have to stay in Bakersfield. Overall my experience wasnt really great and I dont plan to come back again either after having these bug bites on me (I am currently trying to refrain from scratching them as I type up this review). The service is okay and not terrible as others have mentioned, maybe I was a lucky one. I am now in a much better hotel in LA, it feels like heaven here, you know this reminds of the song Heaven by Kane Brown; Im just laying on the bed with my family enjoying life right now. After going to war against the bugs there it feels like heaven here. Sorry I went off topic but if you made it this far reading my review thank you; I hope it helps you and maybe made you laugh a bit. Im not laughing now but I will later....probably. Anywho stay at your own risk and if there are other options nearby look at those before here.

I had a great stay here with my two boys. The room was super clean and great. The bathroom was very clean and well kept. We used the pool which was comfortable and spacious. And the hot tub was perfect.

I stayed at the Four Points Sheraton because my company was hosting our Christmas party there. Celeste was so helpful as she met with my boss and I on numerous occasions to go over event details. I appreciate that because our event went so well. I got nothing but positive feedback from my co workers. Thank you Celeste!!

Staying here on the way from LA to SF. Was nervous to book based on previous reviews but I don’t really understand them upon arriving here. Check in was smooth and the room is super spacious, clean, and the bed is so comfortable. Highly recommend.

Negative: carpet, drapes stained and dirty. there was a bug folded inside my towel. felt my room and the hallways could have been more clean.

Positive: Nothing Negative: Blood stains on all of my pillows changed rooms to stains all over the floor. Roaches everywhere. Worst hotel do not stay here
