Visited this complex and took a tour. It’s a nice place but it felt like I was in Barnala instead of Bakersfield. 😂🙏

I have lived here for over 5 years and one of the things I like the best is that I feel safe here. I have never had any issues. They keep the grounds clean they have an area for everyone. A nice and new dog park. A play area for the kids to play. I think many people use our big complex to walk and get some fresh air. If I had one thing that I wish could change. I wish the wall that is shared by a neighbor was more soundproof. Other than that I have been very comfortable at Golden Valley Luxury Apartments.

I resided at the Golden Valley Luxury Apts for 9 years! So glad my kids were able to grow up in a nice, and safe community . The ladies in the office Brenda, and Jessica , are extremely great and understanding, and always make sure that residents are taken care of. Also a big Thank You to Ruel for always taking care of any maintenance problems fast, and efficiently! You all are awesome !

Great place to live. Gated community with 24/7 security. Community events, playground, 2 pools and a hot tub. Love living here.

Community is nice looking and modern but there are a lot of strange men that live here. Theres a lot of open seating near the park/pool area but sometimes there are men who sit at the benches directly in front of the playground who are there alone. There were incidents of older men recording children in the swimming pool last summer. Not sure if management did anything about it but there was a complaint sent to management about this.

I love this apartment complex! First off all the management and staff are awesome, they are so nice and attentive. The next thing is the actual apartment itself. It is so nice, nicer than any other apartments I looked at in Bakersfield, the two stories makes it feel more roomy. Also the upkeep of the grounds is amazing, I see someone picking up trash everyday. The pools are great during the summer! I love that there is a playground in the complex it is a nice well built play area, with a soccer field and basketball court. I would highly recommend this place to any especially families.You.definitely feel safe here there is always security around.

Awesome, family friendly community. Been here almost 6 months and love it. We have no issues. Lots of families playing in afternoons/evenings and always quiet at night. We feel very safe here and the neighbors and staff are so friendly.

The ladies in the office have definitely went above and beyond to make sure tenants are taken care of and that we feel safe in this community. And a big thank you to the wonderful maintenance man, Raul, you’ve been so helpful. Always make sure to get problems fix fast, efficiently and you can tell he really cares about what he does.

Golden Valley Luxury Apartments gives you the feeling of being in a home. The personnel that work here are easy to get along with and care about the tenants. The grounds are always kept clean and the facilities are always in working order. The atmosphere here is comfortable, safe, and clean with a nice park, swimming pool, gym and even basketball court. The maintenance department works efficiently and promptly, couldnt ask for more. The grounds have 24 hour security on site and after 3 years living here I have never had a problem. I have lived in this luxury apartment for more than two years. since the first day of my application I enjoyed everything they offered.I have seen great management skill and professionalism. it is a safe place to live with or with out your family. I have never seen any kind of crime or violence at all. I have recommended my friends family members and my co-workers. still they live here.I know one word to please a customer or a client. that is find a way to say yesthat is what I have seen in this apartment management.the best place to live and enjoy life with out fear or worries.I feel I owe them.great job .tad.

I love golden valley luxury apartments, this is my go to place in bakersfield for any corporate housing that we may require for either myself or any of my employees. Great place for families and also people looking for a beautiful place to live. I love the 24hr gym and the pool area is amazing. I love going to play basketball in the afternoon in the really nice basketball courts and also love the fact they have a huge park in the middle of the complex. I really recommend this place over any other facilities in Bakersfield, plus coming from the Bay area where prices are sky high this place is extremely affordable, customer service at its best!!! thank you Golden Valley you are the best!!!

I am appreciative of the management team at Golden Valley Apartments. I have found them responsive and prompt. I am also pleased to find that the staff has successfully taken customer service to another level as I am aware through personal experience their efforts to not only meet the needs of the residents here, but act with professional courtesy in the face of a tumultuous economic climate.I have noticed that each request is quickly responded to, there is great care taken to adhere to regulatory demands, information is disseminated in a timely fashion, and resident security is present and available to maintain an environment condusive to all residents.It is a strong testimony to the ethics of the administration and the management corporation associated with this site. I am grateful for their availability and attention when my family required it. We are pleased with the community.

Me and my family have been living here since 2010. It is a very well kept community and we enjoy living here. Upkeep on the property seems like top priority, the landscaping is good, the pest control as well. Only minor gripes in these 5 years have been the addition of more and more speed bumps. It is understandable to want to keep the community safe and to try to lower speeds of the vehicles driving but when the two closest gates are closed for entry it means if your unit is near the back you get to drive through every single one. Other than that although I have not personally been to the gym I like the inclusion of the TV and might have to start visiting it more often. I like having security on the premises. Overall it is a very family oriented community and we enjoy it. Would like to see an increase of storage for the units.

We love Golden Valley and the sense of security we find within the community. We have met so many nice people here and have made life long friendships. The staff is always continuing to make GV safe and clean. The staff has several events for all ages like movie night, summer socials, Easter, door contest, food truck Friday etc. It is a nice place to live in Bakersfield.

I just relocated, and I am so happy with the entire process! They walked me through everything and the ladies are so sweet! I have some family members who had recently moved out of the complex after staying for 6+ years and they had nothing but positive things to say. Couldnt be happier with my decision!

I was new to Bakersfield from the Bay Area, looked forever to find something clean and spacious. Been here 5 months, I would say the good points are the space (bigger than others I looked at), I like that its gated, and the gym is actually useful.

If you ever wanted a home that felt like a community, this is it. I came from a smaller community, and felt like I really wanted a home that was more of a neighborhood, and I think Golden Valley pretty much covered that, especially since the kids use the soccer field every day! Made the move to Bakersfield a whole lot better - I found a place that feels like home :-)

Great complex, beautiful townhouses, great facilities on site & super friendly staff! Neil & Isamar are absolutely awesome! They are always ready to help in anyway possible. Its a family friendly complex & very safe. The Security guys are great too!

Me and my family are very unhappy in this place. We feel very not safe. In the end of November there was a murder in the property. The person was way out in the open and security did not even know about it. It was all over the news in Bakersfield. Then recently apartments have been broken in to. Then the next thing the company tries to do is sell security for the apartments. The security people are no good. They can not catch a murder. They can not stop thieves from breaking in the apartments but they have plenty of time to sit and talk to the people (Yes, I even seen a security person siting on curb and talking to a tenent!!)The rent is very expensive and they show movies but cant catch criminals on property!! I cant wait for lease to end so I can move far away from this place

Its a really nice place to live

I have nothing but good things to say about Golden Valley Luxury Apartments. I have lived here for two years now and I have yet to have a single complaint. The staff is very friendly and courteous to all tenants. I have friends and family that come by and are amazed that the apartments look just as good from the outside as they do on the inside. My wife and I have lived in many apartment complexes over the years and have yet to find a place in Bakersfield with all the amenities. Everything is energy efficient and up to date so I do not have to worry about an outrageous PG&E bill. I highly recommend this complex to anyone.

Great place to live. Rent is reasonable. Quick access to the 99 and for the most part people are quiet and keep to themselves. The grounds are kept up and management is on top anything you need. Ive been here two years so far.

Does anyone know how Golden Valley is about returning security/pet deposits at the end of the lease agreement?

My family loves it at Golden Valley. We are moving out of state, but we are confident that we will never find a place like this one. The apartments are really nice, but what makes GV special is the sense of community, the commitment of the staff and the care of the management. Maintenance is always quick and Ruel, the maintenance guy, is great. The facilities are great and the management is always adding more. I highly recommend living here.

My family and I very much enjoyed our stay at Golden Valley Luxury Apartments! It is very quiet, clean, safe and pretty. It was the perfect fit for our family during the time of our stay there!

It a good place to stay and live.

Im active duty military and we moved from the east coast to Bakersfield not knowing a soul, thats the Army way, but living here at Golden Valley is one of the only ways I met the friends I have now! I met these families at the beautiful park in the center of the complex which is essential if you have little ones as we do! The staff coordinates park activities and festive seasonal activities to get everyone connected!There is 24 hours security which is a great amenity to have but I will say, the officers, well friendly, are sometimes over the top and take their job too seriously. But, nonetheless its a good feeling to know they are always patrolling and looking out for the best interest of the tenants.As for the (3 bedroom) apartment...the kitchen could use some updated appliances; they are all black which is cosmetically appealing to the eye...the freezer does not have an ice maker, the double sinks are shallow with a very standard faucet which makes washing pans by hand a pain in the butt (there is a dishwasher though!), there also isnt a squirter at the kitchen sink which is frustrating! The showers have regular shower heads, I personally removed them and bought removable shower heads which make it easier to bathe little ones. The worst part of the apartment is the lack of efficiency in creating storage space. There is only one closet under the stairs so it really isnt much space...no attic or outside storage available.Our original plan was to stay here a year until we learned the area and then move into a house. We decided to renew our lease based on how much we love the community that Golden Valley offers and to be near the friends we have made!

I don know why I am treated so rudely by the office staff. I pay my rent at time ever month but going to the office the girls are treating me more rude ever time.The company it needs to find people to hire that know to smile and be nice

This is place is not great at all! For one they rip you off the security deposit! Almost 530 for paint is insane! The place was not left dirty at all! Your supposably security officers are a joke. You have bugs constantly inside the home. We were here for one year and was anxious to leave! Please dont be fooled by the pictures and staff. Trust me they will take your whole deposit. I shouldve listened to the comments before moving in because other ex tenants said the same thing about deposit.

I would definitely and unequivocally would not recommend this complex to anyone. Inconsiderate and self righteous populous of individuals, loud music, bad security staff, very expensive for what it is cookie-cutter nothing special homes, lack of understanding what customer service is as per the management, located in a rough neighborhood which the complex itself reflects. I could go on and on. Our very bad choice with so many regrets.

Great place. When I moved here about a year back, and looking for a place to live, Golden Valley was the only choice for us after looking at a lot of places around Bakersfield. Apart from the town home style apartments, the environment was peaceful, and quite. Especially after a long a day at work one longs to return to a place like this to spend the evening.The amenities are great. There are two swimming pools, and a jacuzzi which I and my wife enjoy a lot. There is baseball court, and park where one can enjoy barbecues. Apart from that all the residents are really friendly and helpful.For a family with kids in school, the schools, elementary, middle and even high school are in walking distance. And I found out that these schools are one of the best here in Bakersfield.Also, it is a gated community. Which means peace of mind for parents of small children. And the security is 24/7. Parents can let the kids out with minimal supervision.There is ample parking unlike other apartment complexes which is boon, when you have a party or family and friends visit you.The staff are very friendly, and go out of their way to accommodate you. Which is rare, in my experience.All in all, I am enjoying my stay in Golden Valley, and recommend it to any one. My suggestion is, before making a decision do visit Golden Valley, otherwise you will be missing a lot.

This would have been 4 stars if not for the issues with my deposit. The place is very community oriented and most of the staff very friendly but it wasnt until after I moved out that I realized how dishonest management seems to be. When I moved in, there were scruff marks and small dents all over the walls, very stained grout and cracks throughout tile and laminate. Blinds broken and a few dead bugs. The place wasnt very clean. We had to mop before taking our socks off. No big deal! They were accepting our dogs and I wasnt going to be very picky. Im a traveling nurse and move long distances with my two kids, husband and dogs. I support my entire family and rely on my deposits when I have to make a big move so when we moved across the country, I made sure we would get that deposit back. We scrubbed EVERYTHING. The walls were completely spotless. I didnt even think they needed touch up paint. But when I got my deposit return check, I received less than half. I was told I was paying extra for a heavy coat of paint, grout cleaning, dents in stairway and nail hole repairs. I must mention that I never even made a single nail hole. We were staying in a furnished unit and the pictures were hung by staff so why would I be charged? Basically everything I was charged for was most likely charged to the tenant previous to me but without the repairs being done. I emailed management and was told to give them 48 hours to look into it. I then contacted management again 4 days later and was told to wait until tomorrow because they hadnt yet received pictures from the crew that made these claims. It has now been well over a week and I have heard nothing. SO.. If you would like your deposit back, I do not reccomend this place.

Among MANY issues we had during our miserable stay here, they wouldnt even let us park our moving truck outside of our apartment when we were leaving (during work hours) claiming we would be taking up too many parking spaces. An empty parking lot. Seriously. Even security thought it was a joke--totally insensitive. We had twins under one which we had to carry, along with our furniture, back and forth under the harsh Bakersfield sun, to the truck that was parked outside of the gate. Im surprised they didnt suffer heat strokes. And yes, we had to unlock the gate to get in and out and hold it open. This place is completely worthless from the chincy construction, to the bugs, to the borderline theft of a huge chunk of our deposit. I will gladly post pictures of the walls they allegedly had to repaint stating beyond normal wear and tear in a room we seldom used and was wiped thoroughly upon move-out. It was more clean when we left than it was when we moved in! And the neighborhood is trash. Dont let the gates fool you, our car was broken into twice. Security? Right.

I am a lawyer and a friend of Thomas Duda. I have been observing what was transpiring at this location which is run by an extremely unethical company and I am well aware of their abusive behavior. Their clientele base mostly are blue collar employees and they do not seem to understand how badly they are being treated.there appears to be many illegal activities taking place in this complex as well A young attorney was murdered in this complex and several forced entry issues have taken place. Their security team has been reported to state consumer affairs. Yet the management appears to think threats and sub-par practices can put some fear into the residences hearts and minds whom they frankly are being ripped off.As a lawyer and a prosecutor I am extremely surprised how corrupt this company is.The issue the company is so unprofessional that they appear to assume playing unethical games will not face actual consequences. If I were a consumer I would never consider to live in this complex.I can not help but also find it utterly amusing that they write their own reviews. Timothy Dadu appears to be their way of mocking my friend Tom Duda`s name. The management also does not appear to understand the law as it pertains to cyber security and frankly they also appear to be confused about our judicial system and how that connects to the law enforcement. Frankly on many dimensions this is troubling but mostly their lack of knowledge on all grounds to me is rather bizarre

Good, I like the apartments the people over here are very good and give respect to each other . Nice place with nice sorrundings. Gym is really nice and pool side is also good.

This is an amazing place to live in Bakersfield i am living here with my family since October 2014.Me and my family never faced any kind of problem here.Management is very warm and welcoming.They are always there to help you.Its fun to live here.

Thats really bad place!!!they lie and take all the deposit from you when you leave..!! even if u bring the apt as new!!they have bed bugs in few apt!! and they make the tenants pay for the treatment !!!!the law in california say that the landlord need to take care of it.!really rude person at the office.. the manger Nicole... rude rude person.. not nice to talk to!even the stuff dont like hereDONT RENT THERE!!!!!!!

This place is absolute garbage. They have cockroaches on property. When you move in they do very poor maintenance. Walls are super thin and if you get one complaint they threaten you with a termination of lease letter. Do not move in here you will regret it. They are lucky u have to give them 1 star or I would give them a absolute 0.
