I was glad to have come across a friend who suggested Support Buddy while I was trying to set up my own venture. I went to this place i had some issues with my display and they recommended to get screen replaced and after getting the screen changed i had to in back on same day to show them the display was acting same way. And that lady just kept mine computer for another 1 week and at the end she just said ,”it seems to be a actual defect you should check with dell.” And worst part the removed my serial number from it. So the geek squad guy told me they can’t do it without a serial number. And here i had to buy another laptop.

I have worked with several tech support companies over the years. Many times the same issue would develop only a day or two after the service. Worse then the cost of the service was the time I would be waiting to get a support agent on the line to only have a difficult time understanding. I am sure over the period I lost at least 30 hours away from work. Time is much more valuable then the cost. During a discussion with a friend of mine he suggested trying SupportBuddy. The pop up appeared on safari browser..it blocked everything and gave me a number to call verizon i call the number and signed up for 1 year services..on day three i called and the phone rang, rang got a tape message which said all techs are bust press one for voice mail...voice mail does not work...how convenient. customer service does not respond to messages left after hours.

My son called this company after they put a pop-up ad in his Safari browser which blocked his access. The ad told him to call Apple Support immediately. He was connected to SupportBuddy, and was told they could fix his computer.The repair consisted of emptying his browser cache (and removing the pop-up ad).A call to Apple Technical Support revealed that Apple has NO relationship with SupportBuddy, and they are aware of this scam. Theyre basically creating fear in people who arent technical, then charging them a lot of money to do things that arent really necessary is what the technician told me.STAY AWAY!!!

Guys......I would give this company 0 if I could. If you read some of the reviews further down you will get the same story that happened over and over. I had a macbook that lasted 7 years with no problems and I see too many similar reviews that recount the same incident. My biggest concern is whether the software they installed for me is still something I need/should have (adblocker).

Hacked my computer and made me pay to fix it and wanted to charge me $500. to be on a service plan for a year. This is a total scam I wish could have been researched before agreeing to let them fix it but you cant check them out when the popup says you have to call them and not close out the box or turn off the computer. ABSOLUTE SCAM!!A window popped up on my Mac informing me that I got a virus and provided me with a number that needed to call. A person from Support Buddy Inc. told me that I HAD to have the issue fixed if I didnt want all my information (banking info, personal info, etc.) compromised-aka pay $329.99. They also said the information of my family would be compromised because were all on the same network. In a complete panic, I accepted. When they were done, my internet was so much slower. I went to the place where I bought my Mac and they told me I got scammed, they even knew the exact amount of money Support Buddy Inc. charged me and the window that popped up w/o me telling them. They corrected the problem and told me to dispute the charge. When I called Support Buddy Inc. to tell them I was disgusted with their services and disputing the charge, they were so scared they CANCELLED the charge completely w/o a fight. If they were a real service they would NOT have given back my money so easily. Luckily, Im getting my money back and the guys at Experimac in Boyton Beach, FL were nice enough to clean my computer to make sure Support Buddy Inc. services were no longer there.This is a complete scam and the only reason I have rated 1 star is because it would not let me post without putting one. I was just lost not knowing what to do with my laptop restricting me to perform anything on it. So, I am extremely thankful to the SupportBuddy associate who bared such a novice computer user like me to eradicate the error messages from my Dell laptop.

A box showed upon start up of my desktop regarding malware had infected my computer and to call the number listed or go to the site. I thought it was microsoft as it had mentioned microsoft throughout the content of the warning. I called and they ran a scan on my computer and kept mentioning my warranty was up which ended mid last year and I knew it was up. I braced myself for the pitch and they said they were the only company that could take the Zeus malware off my computer, one time fee $179, annual fee $299, two year and so on. Im sure you got the picture here.

Taking advantage of mentally ill individuals. I work with individuals who have mental retardation and the sale staff has not been trained not to sell products they cant agree to purchase. The pop up ads are fraudulent. I had just serviced a individual computer, and a day later their ad scared them into using them.
