My experience at the Avon Air Force recruiting office was great. Tsgt McCraven gave me all the resources and information to prepare me for the next step in my life and that was through the Air Force.

Currently in the DEP awaiting my ship date for BMT while processing with Sgt McCraven. The process has gone very smoothly and I couldn’t be more pleased. Was recommended to this office by a friend that is a little over a year into serving his contract and I can see exactly why he recommended this office to me. Professional, knowledgeable, willing to process as fast as you feel comfortable with. No breathing down your neck to get you to sign the dotted line as you would probably expect when you first come in with questions. If you have the slightest consideration of joining the Air Force, this is the office to go to.

The recruiter Sergio Melendez, is never there. Left messages via Text, Voicemail and Email. Seems like AF recruiting is a vacation spot for the service. They should have another SNCOIC there if the main recruiter is on Training. I noticed he even gave the station a 5 star review.. Wow.. I even contacted the AF recruiting 800 number whos screener said they would reach out to the Avon office. Never received a call back or email.Im a vet myself and was inquiring for a family member. Looks like the AF is going to miss out on a perfect candidate. Another branch of service will benefit.
