Chico and his team were amazing! Not only were they prompt, clean, and respectful of our property, they made sure that we knew all the options before we chose what to do with our trees. Unfortunately, the Austin winter storm stressed some of our older trees and they weren’t growing leaves and looked sick. We were worried we would lose 3 of our very large trees; Chico and his team advised us on how they could trim/prune two of them to salvage them, when other companies we had gotten quotes from had told us they would have to be removed. Our yard looks much better with two of the trees saved and pruned back.Because we have a bonfire, we requested to keep the wood from one of our dead ash trees to use as firewood, and they stacked it nicely for us!I will definitely use them again for any of my tree care.

A bad storm over Memorial Day weekend knocked down two trees in my yard, one on top of my back fence and the other onto my neighbor’s roof. Chico came out within a couple hours of contacting him to evaluate, gave me a fair estimate and set to work that day himself, working til sundown to remove the limbs on the roof to prevent further structural damage and tarping over the holes to prevent additional water damage. He brought back his crew the next weekend to remove the rest of the tree. His team did a great job, taking necessary precautions and advising on risks upfront, and Chico was very responsive to all of my questions. I highly recommend him for your tree removal needs.

I seldom, if ever, use the word awesome anymore, but in Chicos case it applies, and then some. He and his crew were outstanding a few weeks ago working at my residence. They thinned two oaks, trimmed two ashes and took down a long-dead ash, plus removed a potentially troublesome limb on a hackberry. They even stacked many of the cut logs (some of which were cut to order).While they mightve picked up a little more debris and closed the gate shut, they made up for it by voluntarily chipping 3 bundles of tree limbs the city hadnt picked up for 4 weeks; I didnt even realize it till theyd left. Super service!Chico is a true professional who really knows his stuff. His original estimate beat all comers, and then he bested himself. Chico is the man!

Chico was an expert, very knowledgable, and had a solid plan to make our trees look great, but also set them up for a long healthy life. The crew was fast, friendly, and kind. They cleaned up everything, leaving our yard cleaner than it was when they arrived. The other companies in town had a weeks long wait for even an estimate, but Chicos came out same day for the estimate, and was on the job within a week. The top of our pecan tree broke off after a big storm, and Chico and team solved this and also trimmed up all of our trees. We highly recommend them to anyone!

Chico responded very quickly to an inquiry about a difficult job involving the removal of several large branches of a cedar elm tree that had fallen on our roof. He assessed the job, carefully explained the technical issues and how he was going to do it, gave a very fair price, and was able to come out with his crew the following week. The challenging work involved some careful planning and maneuvering which Chico and his crew pulled off beautifully. They cleaned up all the fallen branches and limbs, evened off the main trunk, and, in general, gave us great confidence that they knew what they were doing every step along the way -- theyll be our choice next time we need tree work done.

I unfortunately had an 82 year old Post Oak tree that had to come down. Here is my experience and why Id recommend Chico and his crew. The initial call was answered, he was quick on text message responses and cost was in my opinion very fairly priced. As for the actual job, he updated me the day before and showed up the next morning when promised and the efficiency of his crew was evident from spot watching the methodology of the tree surgery. Even as the process went along Chico was great about answering questions. At the end of the process Chico was even nice enough to cut up a large trunk so my neighbor could make some cutting boards for the handful of neighbors that were entertained by this process. In short, hire him and when he shows up grab yourself some coffee and watch the process for an hour, very entertaining. 5 stars should be a rare review but he deserves it.

From initial contact through the completion of the project, Chico was probably one of the most knowledgeable and easiest people I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with as a home owner. On top of that, he was nice to talk to, prompt, professional and fair. I needed my trees trimmed back and he and his crew were careful, time efficient and cleaned up afterward. I found Chicos Tree service, because their crew was trimming my neighbors trees. I chatted with Raf, the owner, and walked through my property. Hes very knowledgable and provided me with a very fair and timely bid. 3 days later, his crew showed up, completed all the work. I had 3 massive trees fully trimmed to allow more light in for the grass and a large tallow removed. Everything was cleaned up before the crew left...very friendly guys. Quality was fantastic too. I cant recommend these guys enough. He will definitely be my go to for tree service going forward!

Chico and his team were wonderful. We had to have two 40+ ft Red Oak trees taken down that had died. His quote came in much lower than every other arborist we called, and his price is by the hour. The job took less time than he quoted, by almost half, and he stuck to the per hour cost. He was professional, kind, quick, safe, and importantly his team worked great with him. My grandmother needed some trees cut in her yard and when my grandma said she needed it done, she meant now. They did an excellent job of trimming our 20+ trees. We reviewed what needed to be done on each tree and they made recommendations on other useful cuts. The area looks much better with all of the excess growth removed and the branches raised off the driveway and thinned over the lawn.

Called Chico in the morning for an emergency when a tree fell onto the roof of our business. He was there later that day and they knocked it out for us quick and clean! I am very happy that I decided to contract Mr. Rafael Chico and his crew to remove large old and unhealthy ash tree from our backyard. They did excellent job for very reasonable price. It was easy to contact them and get price estimate. They cleaned up after job perfectly and did not damage any of several small trees that we have planted just below the ash tree that they removed. I called and made an appointment and CHICO came to discuss the job. We walked the property and discussed what I wanted done. He also made some suggestions of things that should be done. He worked me up a bid and suggested a date to start the work. He and his crew arrived on time and we walked the property to make sure everything was covered. His price for a 10-hour job was very fair, and the quality of work provided by this team was top-notch. Details like using a blower to clean off the driveway, the entire roof of our home, and our wooden deck in the back yard were details that did not go unnoticed. I think we found our permanent tree-care team! Were looking to have them back to do some additional lawn work. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Rafael spent some time on his initial consultation discussing with me the problem areas in my yard & defining the scope of work. He clearly knows and cares about trees! Rafael gave me a fair price quote, which he stuck to despite going over the alloted time. The team worked efficiently, cleaning & clearing debris as they went along. It was actually fun watching the guys climbed up there, cutting off limb after limb, until the tree was nothing but a stub! Wind came through Austin with the Harvey hurricane, so a tree fell over, bend the fence , and hit the neighbors roof. Chico came to our rescue. I called him around six and he was here as fast as he could with the rain and wind. I called a couple of places, Chico was the cheapest by at least a half of the quote the other guys gave me. He cut the tree down and also haul it away. There was just a stump left since he couldnt grind it. Thats fine with me though because a stump is the least of my worries. Thank you Chico. We and all my friends and family will call you if we need a tree removal.
