Our A&S pool is wonderful. The build was easy, quick and designed to our exact style. Seriously - its beautiful! Everyone at A&S has been great, especially Paul. He has been by a few times to help us with questions and installations on a few items. Thank you PAUL for making time for us and being so helpful!! We are so happy we finally made this dream happen and its even better than we imagined for our family!

Daylon was very helpful in completing our project. Not gonna lie its been a tedious process but they kept at it until we were satisfied. Thanks for your dedication Dan Barrett and for making sure I was heard.

A&S designed a great pool for us and we went through the initial phases of the process. After camera inspection we discovered sewer lines right in path of where the pool was supposed to be. We could not put the pool elsewhere due to setbacks so we stopped the process but A&S has been supportive the entire time and I would recommend their services.

BAIT AND SWITCH...WORKSITE ABANDONED...when we started six months ago we invited a salesman into our house and he said we would be swimming by Memorial Day. This pool has been abandoned and untouched since the end of June.They dont email back and when they do they stall you for 2 weeks and then make up some excuse why they, the pool company, cant build the pool..6ft mosquito infested concrete hole.excuse after excuse.seriously excuse after excuse.I’m attaching a photo..this is how my back yard has looked for the entire summer...bummer.BUYER BEWARE they will cash your $70k checks and not make the pool

Our pool motor quit working. After our phone call for our warranty, Daylon the warranty specialist was at our pool in a matter of days! He was courteous, professional and fixed the problem. I really appreciate the prompt response. We are back to swimming again!

We were very happy with the entire pool building process, from the initial meeting and design to each trade along the way!Our sales rep/designer, Sindo, listened to our wants/needs and was awesome in making design changes as we worked through the process.Our project manager, Matt, was always responsive to our questions and quickly resolved any issues that were discovered.During pool school, Andrew was very informative, patient and helpful.Once completed, we did have one equipment failure, but Maggie & Paul, from the warranty department, resolved the issue right away.We are overall very happy with our pool and so glad we decided to go with Anthony & Sylvan Pools!

Misled by overly aggressive timeline. Still waiting. Also the company in general isnt very responsive to communication requests. Ive received mixed information and not all of it seems to be accurate. In June I had paid for 95% of my pool and yet no one can tell me when it will be plastered. In mid July 2021 I was just informed theyre still plastering pools from DECEMBER of 2020. They sure took my money in advance though. Again feel very misled and ignored. Hopefully the pool will be nice whenever it finally gets completed. I feel like I was sold a product under a false timeline. They took my awning off my house in April and still have not reattached it even though I have requested so several times. When I emailed the construction manager, sales manager and the general manager not one of them responded.

A&S designed and built our pool and has serviced it for a couple of years now. Great design and construction but the service afterwards has been really excellent. Weve had a few warranty calls on various equipment/issues (nothing out of the ordinary) and their team is top notch. Highly recommend (make sure to ask about designing/building in an automatic cover...so much easier than adding one after the fact)

We were originally happy with the design and overall timeframe for construction prior to COVID. However, we immediately started noticing that the luder stone started pitting and chipping as can be seen on the coping in the photo. The original PM offered to shave and smooth the stone, however the stone is defective. We filed a warranty claim in January and have tried contacting the National line, local store, new PM and warranty department and no one answers or returns our calls. This is an installation that completed and had been a known issue since 3/2020. Over a year later and now we are ready to take legal action as our patience is out! Please consider a company who honors their warranties before you go with Anthony & Sylvan.

From design to final product we are extremely satisfied with our pool….they did not try to over sell us on add-on’s and built exactly what we envisioned. Dave Rothwell came up with a beautiful design and had no problem making changes to it even after they came to the house and laid it out. Giving a review of a company when you complain about what happened is not extremely helpful. Rather than do that I want to explain my experience with Anthony and Sylvan Pool before telling you the issues and how I think they could correct this in the future:We contracted with Anthony and Sylvan Pools to build a pool the first week in July. We were excited but had exceptionally low expectations of being able to swim in the summer. Thankfully, we had low expectations because in the background this company took advantage of their customers wanting to have something they could enjoy during a pandemic. They booked way more than they could handle given the current situation and when they received their first payment that is when the “delays started” At one point my project manager told me he was handling 28 pools at the same time and typical workload was around 5-8. They overextended themselves and as a result tarnished the image that I had of them.Because they were overwhelmed, incompetent or oversold their product we had days where nobody would show up, we had no communication though their portal that tracks the work progress and even executive management was slow or no responsive to our requests.In the end they built a beautiful pool that I expect to enjoy for many years. However, if you believe the up-front pitch from them that this will be a totally hands-off construction process you will be sadly mistaken.The issues with our pool have happened at every stage of the processLayout: Lay out of pool was incorrect. Needed to redraw because it was too close to existing patio-delayLayout: Deck sleeves not marked on final drawing. Had to get interrupted on vacation to resolveExcavation: Major problem when rainstorm took out part of 1 side of the pool=DelayExcavation: Destroyed existing down spout to drain water away from the pool. When asked about it, my project manager told me that I had to find a sub-contractor to fix and reimburseGunite: Installation guys added 3 tiers of gunite that the tile guys had to chip/jackhammer out to make spillwayTile: Was apparently delayed but never told to us and when it came time to tile we had another delay waiting for tile=Delay 2 weeksTile: Deck sleeves not marked on final drawing. Deck, tile and guniteGeneral Issues: Changes in pro build are not alerted to the homeowner so we have no way of knowing what is happening unless we look several times a dayGeneral Issues: Contractors do not show up when expected and there was no communication through the website or otherwise to the homeowner that they were not going to be there.Warranty work: I submitted a request for someone to fix the leaking filter and I got a message back that I needed to send photos of the leak. Sent them and no follow upUpdate 7/2/2021Owen from their customer service reached out to me about the experience I had with my pool build and apologized and recognized the gaps in service, communication and staffing. From the conversation I believe A&S wants to address the concerns I and others have posted in our reviews. I think they took on too much and the company’s process procedures and staffing could not keep up with the demand. Based on the discussion with Owen, I believe the know what the issues are and are making efforts to resolve them.

We are so happy we choose Anthony & Sylvan to build our pool. Sindo Delgado was our pool designer and was nothing but helpful! He helped us every step of the way. He was very responsive with any questions we had. He is very knowledgeable about pools and materials. We would highly recommend using him to help you build your dream pool!

I quickly learned building a pool is challenging. There were many issues along the way but in the end everything worked out great. The pump failed within the first week, just bad luck, got excellent service from Paul Oliver, he replaced it and got us back running. He also came out to help get everything networked and running on the app. Glad he was there to support, he really has a lot of knowledge.

Recently purchased a pool with Anthony Sylvan ( Austin ) Pool is beautiful. Salesman, T.J was great. However, our project manger was a disappointment. When I reached out to Anthony Sylvan Pool general manager, Dan Barrett about my frustrations with our project manager he immediately made things right and stayed on top of things. He was great as well as Maggie Cocroft, she was amazing. If you are thinking of investing in a pool I suggest you go with Anthony Sylvan.

This has been the worst experience we’ve ever had with a company. DO NOT HIRE THEM. It’s not worth whatever savings you may think you’re getting (it will cost you later). We went back and forth on whether or not to post a review but decided to because we don’t want this to happen to anyone else. Here’s our experience in a nutshell:* They don’t respond to e-mails or calls even though our pool has been leaking for over a year and the damage is under warranty.* We’ve repeatedly asked to speak to management and never receive a response. They will not escalate our calls / e-mails.* We’ve spent thousands of dollars on water because they won’t respond and we’re forced to fill up our pool every week until the leak gets fixed.* They chipped in the wrong spots trying to resolve the leak (they even admitted this) causing structural weakness and visible damage.* They instructed the repair company, Austin Leak Detection, to apply a temporary fix rather than a permanent one because it was costly and would require chipping out portions of the pool. I’d gladly share the report they created which states this.* The coping around the pool is coming off in large chunks, when we asked about repair of this, we were told it’s not under warranty. THIS IS A BRAND NEW POOL.* There are cracked tiles on the side of the pool, and again they won’t fix them for the same reason as above.We’re now forced to hire a lawyer to help us resolve these issues. Hiring Anthony & Sylvan is one of the biggest regrets we have. Feel free to contact me with any questions, I’ll gladly share more information and supporting documentation for the items I listed above. Like I said, I’d hate for this to happen to someone else.

I posted previously about the fantastic job that Anthony&Sylvan Pools did in every phase of our challenging pool installation from design, to site prep, to above ground construction (e.g., were at the top of a big hill and the surface of the pool and deck needed to be raised up approximately 10 feet to be level with our back patio) through to final commissioning (see attached photo). What I want to report about today is the great job their service team has done in the year plus since startup, in particular the work done by A&S service technician Paul Oliver. The few issues weve had have been relatively minor with exception of some intermittent failures of the heater to fire up when it hasnt been used for awhile. Intermittent failures are tough to diagnose since they may not be readily reproduceable by the technician when he comes out for repair, but thanks to Pauls detailed knowledge and experience with pool equipment he was able to quickly identify the most likely root causes and methodically work through them until he was able to isolate the problem to a faulty propane gas igniter, which he promptly replaced. And last but not least on an unrelated note, Ive also found Paul to be very knowledgeable and helpful with respect to guidance on some of the more advanced techniques for maintaining optimal pool water chemistry as well (e.g., Langelier Saturation Index (LSI), PH buffering with boric acid, etc.). In summary, thanks for the great job, Paul, and we feel blessed to have you on our pool maintenance team!

My rating is based primarily on customer service, response time and duration of the project. My family and I had about 9 pool companies chose Anthony & Sylvan due to their outstanding customer service ratings, established pool company and reputation. However, it has truly been a stressful 9 months of a no set end date to our pool. We love our design, although they did mess up on the tiered spa design we initially wrote up would include 5 steps and had to be improved to three because the guinate crew messed up the piping. The non-response and status updates have been truly disappointing as we hardly receive much communication unless we get a hold of the company ourselves first. In the initial stages all was okay, but then communication went down hill. They are really busy with new projects and due to the pandemic, etc; however, were into 9 months now and no set completion date. This is such a huge company and should be expected to have their logistics down, backup subcontractors, additional assistants to help with scheduling, management to take care of and close out all projects on time

If you are in Central Texas, Greater Austin Area and looking for a pool builder, save yourself months of grief and KEEP LOOKING!After hiring them TEN months ago to do a pool rebuild, Ive dealt with them long enough to be able to say:Here is what Anthony & Sylvan has to offer:1) A convincing sales pitch in the beginning in how they will be with you every step of the way to deliver the best pool possible, 2) Creating a contract and collecting money, 3) Hiring incompetent employees, 4) ignoring emails and phone calls (weeks at a time), 5) hiring poor quality subcontractors, 6) not updating pool plans with slight modifications (example length of a bench), 7) Entering the wrong pool equipment in specs, 8) Delivering the wrong equipment even after we caught the mistake, 9) Installing pool equipment that doesnt work properly, 10) Delivering the wrong tile causing yet another delay, 11) Not cleaning up the job site, 12) Saying they will make everything good and get everything fixed, but then a month goes by with no progress.Here is what they ARE NOT good at:1) Project Management, 2) Scheduling - lining up work to happen in a timely manner is a foreign concept to them, many weeks/a month will go by between each step prolonging the project 3) Communication, 4) Delivering the quality pool you expected.My husband has had to manage this project in his spare time, bringing up issues as they occur since the manager was never on-site when work happened. Hes largely been absent, anyone behind the scenes to get this pool done has been absent. After 10 painful months (with no weather delays mind you), we do have a pool with water in it, but there are a list of issues still left, including a possible leak in the plumbing. This weekend we turned on the hot tub heater and it doesnt work properly, the heat part is working, but the spa did not heat up after three hours. Honestly! At this point, to be expected.My advice: Save yourself the headache! Do not engage with this company until they make some serious employment and procedural changes.

I have had my pool for 11 years,it is still running on the original equipment. My equipment is out in the open and Im very thankful it made it through the winter storm,even though it froze 1 of ice on the water in my pool. Thank you Anthony & Sylvan Pools.

A long story, but I would never use them again. Had them design and install an inground pool. The build process took about 4 times longer than told. They fired our project manager before the pool even went in and never replaced him. You can rely on any of them to do what they say they are going to do. Their su-contractors must be the bottom of the barrel because they were terrible. I had to make them redo the tile 3 times to get it straight and level- and it was way off... I came home one day to find the tile guys actually cutting the sides of the tiles crooked so they would line up with their uneven job. Their plumber subcontractor destroyed every part of my yard imaginable- even parts far away from the pool and lines- with their machinery. They basically had no respect for our property. I had to continue to hound the construction mgr and finally call the regional VP to get response from their employees.After finally getting the pool finished I thought the problems would be over. Nope. The pool has leaked a total of 6 times in the 2.5 years since install. The first 4 times it was the grout around the skimmer. They sent some tile subcontractor to fix it who I discovered on the 4th time it started leaking had not used the right material (should have used grout but instead smeared putty in the cracks). On the 4th time when the leak locator company told me that A&S still wanted to send the same subcontractor back out. I refused and made them pay the leak detector company to repair it correctly.Next we had another leak that took literally 5 - 6 months to get resolved. This time it was in the spa spillway. Each time I called they took forever to get back to me, told me it probably wasnt leaking, and that after the 2 yr mark I had to pay the leak detection company to come out. If the leak was under their warranty then they would reimburse me. Took several leak detector companies to find the leak, but once I did I had to wait, and wait, and wait for them to do anything about it.I finally decided to write a bad review on several sites. That got the attention of the corporate customer service rep. He was the only person who actually tried and succeeded to help me, but it still took a long time to get it fixed. I then removed the review.However, about 1-2 months later the same spot started leaking again! I send an email to both the local warranty manager, the warranty service lady, and the corp customer service rep guy. No response. I ended up having my pool cleaning company who also builds pools come out and fix the leak. A&S had someone smear some mortar on top of the grout lines between the tile in the spillway from the spa to the pool. My pool cleaning company cut out the old grout and put in new grout- the right thing to do.Conclusion:They may tell you they have the best warranty. Wait till you have to use it and then let me know how great it is dealing with these people....They may be cheaper. Youll regret it....They may tell you they will be with you every step of the way on the build. Haha good luck....Oh and now the light has gone out- has water in it...Find someone who is a quality builder. If you are in the Houston area I recommend Texas Pool Group. They clean my pool and they are the ones who did the repair correctly.

Amazing how a quality product transforms a space - work quality is impeccable and commitment to customer satisfaction is really impressive. Everything committed was delivered on as advertised and that level of follow through is really a tall order when someone whom has OCD for sales commitment detail is involved (me).Ill also say there are less costly solutions out there but with an investment like this, you go with quality/pedigree and I am quite glad we did.

Unfortunately our pool project is still not done and the communication on the companies part has been HORRIBLE. We are waiting for the equipment to me installed and going now on 5th week of waiting for that to take place. This has been rescheduled 4 times and not once has anyone communicated that to us. We were told on week 2 that someone was coming that day after a project they had in dripping springs TX and no one called or emailed us to notify us that, that was not happening. However, someone came took the net off our site dropped off equipment in boxes and left. I’m assuming they careless if its stolen. This has been the most frustrating project. The feeling of something being dragged this long, no communication, feeling stuck with this company is the worst feeling. I wouldn’t recommend this company to anyone.

Pool still not completed correctly, even after all the bad experiences. It’s been since 2019! Apologetic emails still incoming. When is this going to be done, Dan Barrett?

Some of the worst customer service, slow responsive or just do not respond at all. I have to chase down the project manager more then once just to get a answer to question otherwise i would not have gotten any response at all. Before signing contact i told them exactly where water line was due to digging to run plumbing to and from pool equipment. OF Course they hit it and did not even say a word. No water in the house and did not even have any thought to communicate that. Of course they said nope we are not responsible and wont give any credit, even if it was their fault and was told before hand about the water line. Its been a very long process, less then a month is left before the permit expires and still not half way done yet. No respect for the customer from my experience and will go with others for my pools in other homes. Just ready for this to be done.Update: After leaving this review and writing email to customer care, i received a email and phone call right away after sending a email in. It was a honest conversation it was less about blaming someone else, which is what i have been getting up to this point, it was always some else fault. I was not made whole, but it was open communication and honest communication which is just as important when doing major construction. The project is not over, plenty to be done. This company may have been more stars before Covid 19 but the influx of business has potentially ruined their credibility. The builder has only one good quality and that was the designer. The construction manager was a zero if that was a score, he was practically non existence to any of our requests and concerns on the build and communication was absolutely not there. The contractor that did the stonework was shoddy and although we brought up issues during the build on issues with their work, nothing has been done to fix these issues completely and the pool has been done a month...conveniently the amount of time they claim they will make repairs but have done absolutely nothing. We have notified everyone, including customer care and have not received any word for weeks on fixing these problems. If you want a quality pool built, we highly discourage you going to them

We had a great experience from start to finish with A&S! There were of course construction hiccups here and there as typical of and new pool build but the team was very responsive and helpful with all issues and everything was corrected.I did interview many builders and they were the best fit and the best price for our build.I would definitely recommend them for your new pool build.

We had some recent issues with the pool equipment, filter, chemicals and the services team is simply phenomenal.Josh did a commendable job in addressing the issues with the values, diagnosing the problems and also was extremely detailed in explaining the proactive and reactive care measures. Overall a thorough professional, who is willing to spend time with the client to help solve the pool related issues. Appreciate the diligence and support Josh !

We received excellent service from Anthony & Sylvan Pools when we had an issue with our water feature. John Meyer, the Texas Warranty manager, and his group provided a quick response, quality work, and great communication. I would highly recommend them.

We have enjoyed our pool for almost a month now., but buyer beware!! First off, the sales department...Steve is a great salesman. He’s very professional and he answered all our questions. He made us feel very comfortable with choosing A&S. Second, the excavating...went great. They finished in record time, which was surprising for all the rock we had. Third...the rest of the pool build. This is where they severely lacked in customer service. We were ill informed of the schedule. Their subs did not use the right forms for our decking. They used OSB instead of 2x6 so our edges of our decking are very wavy. No final inspection was done. And we are still waiting for final clean up. We ended up doing it ourselves. We are not impressed with the communication, which has disappeared after the water was in the pool. We are still waiting for them to correct some issues with the final product. Can we swim? Yes! Maybe that is what they rely on in lieu of a completely finished pool.

We are almost complete with our pool and we are extremely happy with Everyone we have worked with! From Dave Rothwell who took time to listen me and as to what we really wanted to Ray Chafee who has taken the time to answer all my questions no matter how many I have. Bianca Garcia has been been a great person to speak with when I had concerns about the schedule. I have a very high recommendation for Anthony &Sylvan because I know that even after my start up they will help us out any way they can.

The Ernest pool is coming along smoothly, and it is beautiful!!! Aaron Dumas is the absolute best!!! Thank you for making this such an easy process! We highly recommend him and Anthony and Sylvan Pools!!! Top notch in every aspect!Brian and Diana Ernest

We had a great experience. Any issues we had during construction were taken care of and they even replaced some coping that we hadnt noticed an issue with. Tyson was a great project manager and at the end Matt came in and got our water balanced and trained us on everything we needed to know. It was one of the best construction projects Ive ever been a part of.

UPDATED (5/26/2017 original post)The pool came out well. Good luck with their warranty department. Never used my light (its 6 months old) and it doesnt work. Cant get a return call, still broken . Its been weeks since i reported it. Ill update this once I get it fixed.(UPDATED post 5/30/2017 ) Since posting this original review, they have sent 4-5 people out in 3 days. I have to admit, that this really got their attention. They have been extremely responsive and working diligently to fix the issue. I do feel the review lit a little fire under this situation. Since getting their attention, they have handled this amazing and extremely professional. Im satisfied with the response and the crew they have sent out. The warranty, service and longevity of the company is 60% why we chose A&S. I feel in the end we got the service we were hoping for.

We made the decision to go with Anthony & Sylvan after calling 3 other companies and getting 2 other estimates. Aaron is THE BEST and he was the reason! He is very knowledgeable and goes out of his way to make sure we were comfortable - which is a HUGE deal with such an investment. We finally felt good about this pool decision!! We are getting more pool with better features for less and we are so thrilled about our choice!!! BIG THANKS AARON!

Getting follow up customer service has been frustrating. We were told that we were getting two different gift cards because of several inconveniences during build out. We called and emailed for months and they finally gave us one to the online store. Not what we were promised but we settled. We used the gift card code but the charges were billed to our credit card. The wrong item was shipped to us and getting it exchanged is again becoming cumbersome. Mr. Barrett represents Anthony Sylvan Pools and we have worked with him in good faith but does not follow through.

Had an issue with pool maintenance. Paul Oliver came out and not only took care of it, but helped me with a couple other concerns, as well. Great service from a great guy, with a cheerful and helpful attitude.

We decided to build a pool and our Anthony Sylvan sales person made recommendations to us regarding the financing. The salesman was one of the best salespeople Ive ever dealt with. He made recommendations to us based on our needs. He is intuitive about what the client wants/needs. It was obvious that he is a client-advocate and not simply trying to drive up cost as he clearly outlined pros and cons with each option. Our very large (17,500 gallon) pool was completed in 35 days, start to finish, which we found astonishing. The pool is BEAUTIFUL and our neighbors are so jealous. We have heard horror stories from others who said it took months and months to finish their pool. Some contractors had even walked off their jobs and they were begging for others to finish. We had NONE of these issues. The construction manager was responsive and the whole project ran like clock-work. I will sing the praises of Anthony Sylvan to anyone who will listen. We are beyond delighted with this company and cant say enough good things about our experience.

We came back to see Aaron Dumas because of his attention to detail and really working with us to make our backyard dreams come true. The process is smooth and straight forward and he really explains every aspect so we could make the best decisions for our situation. I highly recommend him to my friends and family!

100% professional! Weekly updates weekly inspection reports. All you here is stories about pools taking to long. Not this one 32 days start to finish. Could not say enough good things about Anthony Sylvan pools. Only 1 change order, our upgrade request.

I couldnt be happier with the service we received from Anthony & Sylvan. From the planning phase to the building phase to the follow-up and pool start up, everything went flawlessly and was super professional. The project manager, Tyson, was amazing & ran the whole project like a well oiled machine. The pool is beautiful! I highly recommend Anthony & Sylvan to make your dream of owning a pool become a reality!

A bit of a rough start with some staffing changes at the beginning of my project but toward the end, things started moving quicker and with fewer delays to meet a specific scheduling need I had thanks to Dan’s involvement (regional manager.)As for the finished product, I don’t want to come in from my backyard. It has created the oasis I had hoped and I love it. While it is a huge commitment of time, money, and constraints on use of the space while under construction...once it is finished, it makes the months feel worth it.I would not recommend Dave, my sales person who drew out the project incorrectly 2 times and was rude and dismissive in most interactions, not a very customer-focused service from him. He is most of the reason for the 4 rating instead of 5. However, kudos go out to Owen, in charge of social media and to Dan and especially to Luis and his crew. They really provided services above and beyond and were so great to work with. Chris, with Anthony & Sylvan Pools, has been the one to respond to requests/inquiries following construction. We have had several questions, on different occasions. Chris is timely, knowledgeable, and pleasant to work with. He is thorough, gets everything taken care of, and takes time to answer questions. Every encounter has been great so far!

After meeting with multiple pool companies and discussing our pool build out, we went with Anthony Sylvan. Both my sales rep TJ and my Project Manager Tyson were great! The pool looks fantastic and its exactly what we wanted!We were informed of every step, updated often and they finished on time and within budget! No complaints at all and I can say I highly recommend them!

Terrible service. Took over a year to build. Had 5 leaks. They kept saying it was fixed, it wasnt ever. Had to call a different company. They fixed it. Had illegals building the pool that couldnt speak English. Had to draw on the ground a pic of the limestone..... Terrible!

If you want a good pool, dont use this company.Not good at customer service, unreasonable mangers and never a straight answer..

After what was a rocky start with some missunderstandings, we ended up going with Anthony & Sylvan Pools because they were the best price for what we needed. Aaron worked with us on a design and price that worked for us and Shawn has been a rock star in executing all of our requests. Bianca is amazing at scheduling what we need. After a rough start with a designer from Anthony Sylvan, that we would never recommend, Tyson and Collin made our experience wonderful. Our pool turned out better than expected and on time. Working with Tyson was easy and painless. Everyone always talks about how awful the experience of building a pool is and I have to say once we got over the initial hump it was a breeze. I would recommend Tyson to anyone.

Our overall Experience was great. We never had a construction project before. Everyone in Anthony &Sylvan Pools were very professional, timely and very experienced. Every question we had was addressed in a timely fashion and Tyson our project manager kept in contact with us throughout the entire process and made the project easy and without stress.

Chris came at the time we agreed and promptly replace the salt sensor. Did get a lower salt reading, but need more time to evaluate to see if this fixes the high salt reading problem.Chis also did good job explaining how I can reduce alkalinity in my pool.So I thank Chris for helping me.Larry Muzny

Matt came out today to perform the salt start up for our pool. While doing that he basically repeated pool school for us, patiently going through all of the equipment and explaining in detail what we needed to know. Was very very polite and helpful!

Sales - Dave was great. Could not have found a better sales person. Very professional and understood what we wanted and guided us though the process. We knew after visiting with Dave that we had the right company even though we had met with other companies. We also knew we would have the product we wanted when it was completed. He worked with us when we decided to finish paying off our home before starting the pool. The day we paid it off we called him. Very enjoyable to work with. Very customer oriented.,Administrative staff - Also great. Always very cordial and readily attempted to assist with any issues. You dont pay them enough.Contactors - for the most part good. Didnt like hearing the reason they couldnt be here was they were at another businesses job site. But they were at least honest about it. On numerous occasions they indicated they had no idea they had been scheduled by the project manager.Project manager - could not have found anybody worse. Our electrical inspection has failed twice and is still not completed. Before scheduling an inspection I would think a project manager would look at the site first and know enough about the city codes to have it right. Each time they have to return I think there is an additional charge. We use to call that profit margin. There has to be some responsibility for the failures. No matter what you brought to him it was an argument. He knows it all and reminds you how little you as a customer knows. Did not appreciate being called a liar and being bullied by this guy. He came onto our property when an electrical contractor was on site and didnt say anything to me but immediately began to loudly berate the contractor in front of me. I was embarrassed for the contractor who had already taken the time to explain the delay. I am a businessman and more so Im the customer. Dont want him back on this property. The only way to get him to do anything was by being a squeaky wheel which is something I dislike. He has little organizational skills. I absolutely cannot say one good thing about him. To paraphrase what he said, we have a system that works and thats the way it is. I saw the same pile of trash for almost two months. My neighbors were beginning to complain about it. His response was we clean it up when were through. The same white box sat in my back yard and was the first thing you could see when you walked through our front door. DO NOT SEND HIM BACK HERE AGAIN.Would I recommend Anthony and Sylvan to someone in the market for a pool or even more so would I go back to Anthony and Sylvan as a repeat customer. Yes, but it would be a different contract and you can be sure that Project Manager would not be a part of it. Roughly 50K is 50K. Probably pocket change to some but it was and is a lot to us as customers. You get 4 stars. One is left blank. Ill let you figure that one out.

LIFETIME WARRANTY MEANS LIFETIME OF HEADACHES: Our Anthony and Sylvan Pool is 10 years old and has had 2 major leaks during this time. Getting the warranty service for both leaks was a tremendous headache. The most recent leak started 2 years ago this month (11/2015) and it took almost 18 months to get the warranty work completed. Once it appeared to be fixed, the repair work on the pool deck started to come loose. It took another 2 months and 3 tries to get the pool deck correct and now the pool is leaking even worse that when it started 2 years ago (3rd leak). Anthony Sylvan sent out the leak contractor who located the leak (During the pool deck repair, they loosened the skimmer from the pool) and then plugged the leak with what appears to be putty pressed into the crack. It actually looks like someone stuck bubble gum into the crack. I complained about the quality of work over a week ago and am still waiting for Owen Sakovich to contact me when someone will be out to correct this repair work. Having Anthony Sylvan Pools build our pool was the worst mistake my wife and I have made and having to deal with them and the poor service, lack of communication and incompetency, has taken away any enjoyment we ever had with the pool. I would never recommend this company to anyone under any circumstances. Buyer beware. The warranty that appears to be better than other companies is worthless when they cant service it.

Aaron has been amazing helping us build our dream pool. He has done everything in his power to give us what we want and stay within our budget. He has been so accomodating and helpful during this process I am so glad we went with them. I highly recommend him if you are looking at building your dream pool as well!

We had a good experience building our pool. Tyson was our builder and we found him to be responsive and easy to work with. I think Anthony Sylvan does a good job outlining the steps it takes to build a pool so you know what to expect.

My dealings with Anthony Sylvan have been exceptional mostly due to the warranty manager John Myer. John is amazing, hard working, and goes above and beyond for his customers. I am so happy that he is our warranty representative. I highly recommend the company due to the service after construction and that is due to John Myer.

We are so happy with the results of our pool. Everything went according to plan. We had a few changes but our project managerror Tyson was all over it. He made this whole process smooth and easy. I would recommend them to anyone and defiantly ask for Tyson as your construction manager.

Tyson Felker is the best project manager anybody could hope for in the process of building a pool. We chose Anthony & Sylvan due to their long standing high quality reputation. I wont go into too many details in this review but the project went sideways for a period due to parties outside of Anthony & Sylvan. Tyson saw to it that the mistakes were corrected at no expense to us. He is nothing short of a hero in my book. My wife and I are looking forward to spending quality time with our kids and close friends in our beautiful new pool.

Chris came out to clean the pump filters for our pool and was very helpful. He walked me through the process step by step and answered any and all questions that I had for him. Very pleased with the service from Anthony and Sylvan.

Update:Owen and Joe have done an amazing job on fixing the situation and getting us a consultation. They have gone above and beyond to meet our needs and limited time. I cant wait to move to the next phase of the process.Even getting a consultation with them is a headache. Twice now I have booked a consultation and twice now no show. But instead of calling you to provide an excuse they send an email claiming they are unable to reach you by phone. Sorry but that is crap. I have my fully charged 4G cellphone on me at all times while I am sitting at home waiting on your designer. Nobody else seems to have any problems calling me. And you didnt seem to have any problems calling me with your sales pitch which lead to the second consultation appt I made. If it is this difficult just to get a consultation, makes me wonder how difficult it is to get help during the building process or after they finish building the pool.

Chris was very knowledgeable and very helpful in completing his inspection of a pool located at a home I was interested in purchasing. Sylvan staff have been surprisingly helpful and timely overall. highly recommended.

Dave Rothwell came to our house on separate occasions about two years apart as we were struggling with our decision to put in a pool or not. We were impressed with him the first time we met him and defiantly knew we had the right guy the second time we met with him. Our salesman Aaron Dumas designed the perfect pool, decking, landscaping (even had my husbands red corvette sitting in the driveway)! We didnt change anything. I cant say enough great things about our experience with Anthony Sylvan Pools. From beginning to end, the process went smoothly and rather quickly. Dave Rothwell, our sales person, made sure that what I wanted in a pool became reality. He listened carefully and made suggestions that I would have never thought of. Even after our pool was designed, I had a few changes and he quickly dealt with those without any problems. After our contract signing we were introduced to Tyson Felker, our project manager. This guy is totally professional and was very thorough in explaining all phases of the build. Overall, I can say Tyson knows all the ins and outs of pool construction and any questions or concerns I had he answered quickly and took care of them immediately. It was also nice to be notified, by email, each and every time he had been to the job site for inspections (reports and pics included). I would definitely recommend Anthony Sylvan as your pool company and I would also choose DAVE and TYSON by name, to design and engineer you a perfect backyard oasis! Enough said...now let me go and enjoy my POOL!

Little issue came up with heater and Chris Janssen came over right away, so super helpful with not just my one question but generally wanted to make sure we were good overall. Thanks for everything. We love our pool.

Post build warranty service by Chris has been more than we deserved. He called back when he said he would, listened to my complaints about the pool heater and committed to a plan of action. Best of all, the job was completed on time!Hard to find good honest trade work these days and with Chris I felt his work was better than I expected.

My pool cracked and there has been no repairs made. One year later still no repairs with their guarantee.

3 years and 1 month ago we had our pool built by this company. The pool is still in excellent condition, except for the LED light burned out unexpectedly. We contacted Anthony & Sylvan Pools to check how long the warranty was valid for and it had just expired at the 3 year mark, however Don Sabino took care of us and replaced our light without any hesitation! Thank you for standing behind your products!!

The representative came out to our home to consult with us was very friendly and professional but that experience ended there. He promised our pool design within a week. We did not hear from him after a week so we emailed him to ask about the design. He said he was working on it today and would have it to us that day. Three days passed and we didnt hear a word from him. We reached out again. He made the same promise - he would have the design that day. Several weeks passed and we didnt hear from him. We reached out again and got the same empty promise. If they didnt want to build our pool, they should have told us so. Given the sales experience was so poor, I cant imagine dealing with them during the build. Awful follow through and communication. Do not recommend.

We have purchased two pools from Anthony & Sylvan. The first, several years ago, was pretty good, we were pretty pleased with the whole experience. As a result, Ive recommended them to several folks who had pools built around that time; everyone was pleased.Because of that positive experience, A&S were at the top of our list when we went pool shopping for our new house last year. It was like dealing with a different company. Turns out that in the last few years the company has come close to shutting down, and in fact has left several markets (States) completely.So this new pool was finally finished but it is so bad that we wish we had never even had the pool built. They were unprofessional, completely disorganized, and the end result is very regrettable.The Designer made some pretty critical mistakes. He put the Polaris feed on the far end of the pool when it should have been in the middle. He did not put any returns on the huge sun deck / step, resulting in this platform being covered in dirt all of the time, and I have to sweep it by hand daily. He insisted on Venturi skimmers, which are absolute GARBAGE and should not be sold. And he even tried to give me only one of these for a 18k gallon pool! He kept redesigning the dive profile and one time I had to remind him that his update violated the standards, resulting in yet another redesign.The Project manager was pretty knowledgeable in pool tech but he was really a terrible PM. He had no idea what was going on. I had to REPEATEDLY tell him things were not right. Sometimes after multiple emails alerting him to a problem over several days, he still did not respond and the next phase of work was done, making the error permanent. Then he would argue with me about things we had previously agreed. Nice guy, but the two requirements for a good PM are (1) Very organized, know whats going on at all times, and (2) great communication skills. This guy really did not have either of these.The Electrical contractors were so bad, we would have been better off with Moe, Larry, and Curly. Their conduit (50A circuit!!) was literally laying on top of the ground with a little bit of dirt barely covering it! The buried line was not protected by GFCI breaker at house box. The neutral line was inadequate gauge, it should have been the same as the hot line(s). The placement of the post should have allowed 30 inches of clearance for opening the box panel - as it is, I can barely open the panel. The electrical box is so close to the pump that the pump drain spigot literally sprays water on the power distribution box, and a hot outlet!!!! The ground wire was laying across the ground where it would have been very easy to trip over it. If I did not know enough to inspect these things, we would have been left with an incredibly dangerous installation! It took months and threats of legal action to get the worst of these remediated.The set up guy knew less about the AquaLink system than I did. I asked him about one feature and he responded, I dont know, but if you figure it out, let me know.They did not install the drain cover (didnt even attempt it, the big plastic cover was literally in a bag in the yard), so I had to spend an hour diving to the bottom of the full pool trying to get this thing screwed in. They didnt install the water temperature sensor in the plumbing so Im having to do surgery on the PVC to get it hooked up. They didnt even leave me the correct parts to do this, so I had to figure out the right gasket and find it online.Concrete deck (after only a few months) is already cracking all the way through in several places. Pump often loses prime, it is regularly half full of air. They left our yard a muddy mess.Its very sad, these guys used to be fantastic and now theyre circling the drain. Dont make the mistake we did!

Kept the design I received from BYOP as well as the price down to what was quoted to me by independent contractors bidding on various jobs excavation, concrete, plaster, etc. The execution team led by Tyson Felker, the project manager did a fantastic work keeping on schedule, quality and cleanliness. Several issues with cracked concrete and power washing the driveway were taken care of quickly and efficiently. Josh Hund who is managing pool turn on and the pool school was the most accommodating and professional in explaining the processes, chemical composition and pool maintenance. He promptly returned every call and responded with quality answers to every question I had post turn on. Thank you so very much TJ, Tyson and Josh. You can use my name as reference any time.

If you live in the Austin area, 1) Call Anthony & Sylvan, 2) Ask for DAVE ROTHWELL specifically to be your design consultant. I promise you he will be great to work with.We just completed our pool/spa and could not be any happier. I did lots of research and met with multiple pool builders, got designs, quotes, etc. At the end of the day Daves level of service was the best by far and he is a great guy to deal with. He stayed with our budget and designed a pool that was exactly what we wanted.The entire project was built on schedule and the project management team were on top of their game. From the way the process is explained I was never left in the dark and always knew what to expect next. It made the whole experience awesome especially when you have the best crews in central Texas working on your pool. We watched during the dig that when they starting digging it was 9ft deep of solid rock and I wondered how trees grow around here. That was the start of watching seasoned crews at work and it was awesome to see how a top rated national pool builder had expertise with a regional challenge such as central Texas rock and it was all inclusive whether it takes a day..or in our case four days to dig. No dirt here :)Every phase was handled perfect, the dig, gunite, stonework, pebble finish, deck, etc. The crew for each phase of the project did an awesome job and if I ever build another pool I will want to use the exact same people who were involved in this project. Were there some challenges or hiccups, yes any construction project has at least a few but they addressed them right away, nothing major at all. Our pool turned out beautiful! If you are like me you read reviews for guidance. I rarely write them but felt the need to give a shout out to Dave and A&S for a job well done!
