We had my engagement ring custom designed based off another design I loved from a far away company. I showed Brian what I wanted, he delivered a CAD within the week and I got the ring of my dreams a few weeks later. We had it engraved in the inner band too for an extra touch of personalization. I loved every moment of working with Brian and his team! The storefront is stunning, they made us feel welcome and heard - and they produce beautiful work.

Avant Garde is an amazing place! The selection is large and wonderful. They have so many beautiful pieces to choose from and even if they do not have exactly what you want in the store, they probably have the ability to have it made for you. I selected my wedding ring and band from them and both came out perfectly and beautiful. I was blown away by the quality especially because the price was so reasonable! Their prices are amazing, way lower than the competition! The only thing better than the quality, selection, and price is the staff! The staff is so helpful and kind. I enjoyed working with each of the people who work there. They were beyond helpful and fast! They are such fun and nice people too, that I really enjoyed being in there and speaking with them. I lost my wedding ring on the beach in Florida. I took an old gold ring to Avant Garde and asked them to make a new wedding ring for me. They did a wonderful job. I am pleased with what they made for me.

This place is amazing. I drove up to see them with a random idea for a custom ring I wanted made in the shape of a Dragons skull, but I wanted a *specific* dragons skull from a game I like. I gave them a few pictures and a video, and they came back to me with 3D render of it. I gave some feedback on the render, and they came back again. They really wanted me to be completely happy with the render before they started the work on the mold.They made a resin mold that I drove up to check out, and it was amazing. We talked about the finishing on the sterling silver, something called, antiquing?Then they called me up and said my ring was ready. I drove up and it is just insane how detailed it is, I absolutely love it. I had no idea if they or anything could actually make what I had in my mind originally, but this place pulled it off.Everyone that I dealt with was super nice and really into the idea I brought in, and every step of the way we were all blown away by how this project was coming along and how it turned out.If you have an idea for a piece of jewelry you want custom made, I have no doubt these people can do it.

I had a great experience getting a custom made engagement ring and wedding band with Avant Garde. They were very thorough throughout the whole process and they always made me feel at peace knowing that the outcome would be wonderful. I had had a very bad experience with another jeweler before and it was so great to be able to go to avant garde and end up with exactly what I had envisioned. Emily pretty much handled the whole process and she was really great. She really understood what I wanted and was able to transfer that to the drawings and model before getting the real rings made. Brian was very involved too and it was very reassuring for me. After a little communication hiccup he made sure everything would be perfect at the end and he personally reached out to me to clear up the confusion. Overall I would 100% recommend them for anyone interested in getting some custom made jewelry and I will totally go to them next time I need something myself.

When my wedding band lost a diamond we were very concerned about getting it repaired with a jeweler we could trust. I’m so glad we stopped in here. The band originally belonged to my husband’s grandmother and holds significant sentimental value. The man took us into an office and pulled up on a large screen an image of the ring and walked us through what exactly would need to be done in order to fix it right. The repair took about a week as promised and ended up being on the lower end of the price range quoted. The fix is beautiful and effective. We will definitely trust Avant Garde with any future repairs.

I would highly recommend Avant Garde Jewelers! I purchased my engagement ring through them, and they were absolutely fantastic through the whole process. From trying on almost all the rings in the store, to working with me on multiple iterations of our custom design, and making sure the final ring was as perfect as possible, they really helped make sure I was happy.Granted I’m a novice in jewelry, but I didn’t feel they were just trying to make a quick buck off me. We had such a great experience with Avant Garde Jewelers with a recent request for creating a specialty necklace to combine my wedding band and my husbands wedding ring. By far my favorite jewelry store in Austin! In addition to doing custom work, repair work, and just general all around jewelry services, they have a beautiful selection of the kind of elegant pieces that youll wear forever. I also appreciate that for pretty much anything they offer you the option of lab grown diamonds. For me, at this point, I would not be willing to purchase mind diamonds for ethical reasons, so having stores that offer lab grown options is wonderful. This is a family-owned business and you can tell they pour their heart and soul into everything they do. The sales people dont pressure you and make you feel very welcome.

Brought in a sentimental ring that was hurting my finger and catching on fabrics. However, he did have advice on how to stop it from catching on fabric as much and another jeweler there dulled down the sharp edges that were poking my finger and causing injuries. I stumbled across Avant Garde Jewelers quite serendipitously when I was trying to figure out my husbands ring size so I could have a new wedding band made for him. I literally just googled the closest jewelry store near me and rolled up without reading a single review. They were very knowledgeable and kind. I immediately knew I was in good hands with Brian and decided right then to have both our bands made there. I was able to get the wedding bands for both my husband and I and they were even able to put engraving in them in our own handwriting, which was something I really wanted to make them extra special, we both LOVE our new bands. Fast forward my husband went to Avant Garde to design a custom upgrade engagement ring for me after a disaster with working remotely with a Jewelry store in Denver, that resulted in us needing to send the ring back and starting over (lesson learned, work with someone in your area who you trust!!). Brian and Emily worked with my husband extensively to design the PERFECT ring. They even measured my wedding band to ensure they would fit perfectly together and they were able to incorporate 5 diamonds from the first piece of jewelry that my husband ever gave me to make this new ring even more sentimental. It was very important to me to have a lab diamond and they sourced lots of different stones for us with different ratios in order to help narrow down exactly what I liked. He went back and forth with them A LOT until the design was just right and throughout the whole process they were very gracious and knowledgeable and their quality control is impeccable! I knew I would be getting a ring that was not only beautiful but well made and I wouldnt have to worry about losing stones or breaking. Were definitely customers for life. Everyone at Avant Garde made us feel like family (I worked a lot with Sami and she is wonderful) and I cant say enough good things about them. Brian did an amazing job with our ring, it completely exceeded our expectations. He found us a beautiful lab grown diamond at an excellent price, worked within our budget, and taught us a lot about the industry during the process of designing our custom ring. Out of all the jewelers we met with, his prices were by far the best, and we never felt like he was trying to upsell us. About five years ago, my guy and I had commitment rings made by a hippy who did these beautiful designs with silver wire. Unfortunately, silver wire isnt built to last and we both had to retire our rings a couple of years ago because our skin was freaking out and my ring was falling apart. Brian owns the store and he and his staff are just wonderful. I showed him the silver wire ring and told him how I wished I had it in white gold. He spent a lot of time thinking over how he would convert it. In the end, he not only made it almost an EXACT replica, but he added stones from my other late Grandma, Grandma Frances, who is the reason I love jewelry.Tonight, we picked up the ring and it felt so amazing to put this symbol of creativity, brilliance, family, commitment, and strength weaved around my finger BACK on my finger. In the early 80’s, I had just taken a course in crystallography. My fiancée— later wife- was born in January and her birthstone was Garnet. I went to a random gem market and found a small but spectacular almandine garnet. Ok, spectacular for someone just out of college. Some time later we found a great setting for the stone at another gem mineral show (maybe Santa Fe’?). In the late 90’s, it needed a new facet head, and the jeweler advised me that the other three were weak. Fast forward to the bizarre year 2020. FAIL! But I took it to Avant Gard. They fixed it at a reasonable price. The ring was not returned to us until early January of 2021. May this be a positive sign.

My fiancé and I worked with Emily to make a custom engagement ring and band using an ametrine stone I purchased abroad, and she helped us find the perfect setting with matching wedding bands within our budget. I can’t recommend Emily or Avante Garde highly enough, and I look forward to working with them for years to come.

Brian and his staff made this process very easy. Custom setting an ~1920s diamond and making sure to go through design review after design review to ensure we got what we wanted. It was a great experience!!!! Will be flying in from out of town for all of our future needs.

The team at Avant Garde is AMAZING. My fiance and I came here back at the beginning of 2020 to look at engagement rings, and inquire about a custom set. Emily walked us through the displays, and patiently answered our questions. Then COVID happened and we didnt get the chance to visit again until September. We made an appointment to speak with Brian about starting a custom snake design, and we learned so much in the 45 minutes we sat with him. The overall process was simple, and Emily and Brian were very responsive by email and phone. When it was finally time to pick up the ring, I think Emily was more excited than I was!! (I was definitely excited though: I may have cried). The quality and design of the ring is worth every minute and every penny.Thank you Brian, Emily, and the rest of the team for making this an amazing, educational project! ❤️❤️Ps the shop is very good about following covid safety protocols.

Avant Garde was recommended to me by a friend. After reading glowing reviews online, I went there to have a changes made to two rings. I couldnt have been more impressed with the experience. Ill be a customer for life for two reasons: the quality of their work and the warmth of the staff. Seems as though there is a shortage of real professionals and kind people. They have both! I havent looked through all of their cases yet, but Ive seen many beautiful and unique items there. I look forward to going back.

Costumer Service was excellent! The representative that helped me consistently kept lines of communication open. And at the time of purchase the representative surprised me and wrapped not only the box but placed it in a decorative bag. There was quality from beginning to end!

Amazing experience

Wow! Can I say anything more about Brian and the team at Avant Garde Jewelers than what has already been said? Many years ago, I came to AG as a referral, and theyve treated me like family ever since. They are very attentive, beyond fair, and Brian is the most amazing diamond aficionado I know. Within a few visits it was like I took a master class in diamonds and engagement rings. Hands down the most informative and most personable experience Ive ever had shopping for jewelry. Ill be a customer for life. Side note: theyre new office and showroom is stunning. Bravo.

Brian and his team are the BEST. They listen really well to what you want, and do their best to over-deliver - and at a reasonable cost. Ive used Avant Garde for years, for all of my gifts to my wife. She is always very happy -- what else could I hope for? (Oh yes - and they have a great sense of fun and humor as they deliver quality - this is VERY rare...).

This place is awesome! I was originally shopping around jewelry stores to find my wedding ring. I wasn’t looking for a custom jewelry store as I was on a budget and thought that that type of thing would be expensive. I happened to walk into Avant Garde and Emily and Brian were confident that they could give me the ring of my dreams, and that they did! I provided them with a variety of pictures of rings that I liked pieces of. I pointed out each like and dislike about each one. They were able to get one that matched all of that criteria within my budget and had it ready for me in 2 weeks. I even got to pick out my center stone! Can’t get that at a jewelry chain. I will also note that they were also very responsive. I had email and phone correspondence with Emily the entire time, asking questions and such. She responded either that same day or the next day if my response was towards the closing of the day. I highly recommend and will be back!

Cannot recommend Avant Garde Jewelers highly enough! They carry beautifully unique jewelry andthe sales people are so attentive and welcoming. They are truly experts at designing jewelry as well. I wanted to reset my diamond engagement ring and Brian and Jon were amazing. Brian’s attention to detail and ability to understand exactly what his clients want is extraordinary! They were both delightful to work with throughout the process. I am incredibly happy with the finished product!

I cannot recommend Avant Garde enough!! The customer service is amazing and everyone is so friendly. They’ve all been in the business for decades and are very knowledgeable. I took my engagement ring in Monday morning to get it resized, and I was able to pick it up Wednesday afternoon. It fits perfectly and is beautiful! Definitely visit this place for all your diamond/jewelry needs :)
