Everything was ok until they continued to bill my account after I called to cancel. We just dont use the facility at all. You must cancel 10 whole days before payment is due. They care about you so much until its time for a refund. Returning my hard earned money shouldnt be such a problem.

Very clean, well equipped, and well priced YMCA. I’ve been going here for about a month now and it isn’t over crowded, the staff is friendly, and the gym is well-equipped and kept clean. My only complaint really is how they deal with COIVID. I understand that we’re still in a pandemic and there are rules to follow, which I always respect. But, I had a strange and just illogical instance where I had a reservation for the hot tub, and I arrived 3 minutes before the reservation time and they made me stand next to the hot tub and wait 3 minutes to get into it...this to me was just a bit extra and makes no sense. I’ve usually arrived a little before my reservation time and I’m always only in there 15 minutes, like how you’re supposed to be, but for some reason this staff member was acting particularly strict about it. She was very kind about it and it really was not that big a deal, but I just found it very strange. I still recommend this YMCA and I will continue to honor and respect the COVID rules, but just be aware that they sometimes take them overly seriously.

Love the Instructors. Jennifer Powell is the best! Her Core class saved me while recovering from shoulder surgery. My PT even prescribed her class for me. And then had a hip issue, which her class helped to keep me moving. Now everything is fixed and her class continues to keep me hiking, swimming and doing whatever I want pain free. Everyone should try it!

Love this place...has been life changing! And I am so thankful to have tried personal training here. We joined this Y mainly for the great swimming pool. It has slides, fountains, waterfalls and water buckets. It has a beach like entrance that the little kids love. There are always plenty of lifeguards on watch to keep everyone safe. The rest of the Y is pretty good. There are plenty of group classes and workout facilities to keep everyone happy. We pay 78.00 a month for the family pass. They also off free child care where you can drop them off for up to 2 hours while you go workout.

The facility and staff are very nice. There is limited parking during the times the classes are scheduled, which usually is during high traffic times. At times there is available parking, there aren’t available treadmills. Seniors pay full price for membership unless their health insurance covers it.

This is a really nice YMCA, with a large indoor pool, workout area, and basketball/indoor court. Its pretty new and large, so it has a lot of good amenities. I would say that their weight room/workout room needs a few more machines for my liking. The location isnt the most convenient, but it being remote means that there isnt usually a lot of traffic on off hours, though this obviously changes during the school year as it is located right outside of a high school. If you can afford a membership, and they are pretty pricey, this is a nice location to spend your time at.

I feel like the swimming lifeguard staff bully me and just have eye on me all the time instead of focusing others. Every time I get out just for second after staying inthe pool for long with my kid. They come running to tell me I need to get inthe pool. I understand safety and my kid can swim and breath and is ok even if left alone. But I still get in and just taking a small break for a stressed out mom is fine. There is a fine line between following rules and overdoing it

Wanted to give zero stars but they dont have that option. Really poor customer service over the phone. Kept on hold without even listening to what I was calling in to ask and when they finally got to me after 5 mins on being on hold, all I got was attitude, like a principal schooling a student.Called only to get some information, instead of being helpful I got hung up on.Hopefully the at site people are friendlier and needs proper training on customer service.

If your looking to use childcare to get a good workout .. Look elsewhere. They have policy where if your child cries for longer than 15 minutes .. They come get you. Well, thats just the thing .. They let your child cry, they will not do anything to comfort them or help them. They kept coming to get me during my workouts because a child of mine was crying, so I decided to watch through the glass a few times and I was right. They left my child to cry in the corner, no hugs or comfort, didnt even provide a distraction. They just kept their eye on the clock for the 15 minute mark. Very disappointed. One time I went to get my son he and he was choking on his literal tears and they were just all standing around him not doing a thing! For the record, my children are very well rounded .. They go to drop in day care and attend preschool with NO PROBLEMS. This place is a joke. One of the girls who worked with the children didnt even know what teething was ... Absolutely ridiculous.

Ive been going to this YMCA location for about 1 month now and so far it has been a very pleasant experience! I use the cardio and gym equipment on a daily basis, and only one time Ive seen an out of order sign on a cardio machine. Ive enjoyed using the gymnasium to play basketball as well. In addition, they have a full size swimming pool. The area is always clean and the people are friendly (big plus for a gym)!! The only recommendation Id make to management is to deep clean the sauna.

I joined NW Austin YMCA in January. This is not the first YMCA Ive belonged to--I had belonged to a YMCA in another state for years. And Ive belonged to gyms for the past 20 years.I really like this gym. Very clean and the front desk staff are usually very friendly and helpful. Trainers are overbooked and its hard to get time with them, but its worth the wait to see them. Probably the best trainer Id ever met with is here (Her nickname is Cat). I havent yet tried out the pool, so cant offer any information on that. Attended a yoga class, but the room was so crowded, I didnt return. (I talked to others and discovered that you have to get there quite early to get a pad, ball, etc. But I really dont like the Eastern religion aspect of yoga, so tried to find a pilates class. The only kind they have is a blend of yoga and pilates, though, so I gave up on that.)I tried another class in the evening. The room was hot and crowded, but the instructor was amazing. I dont remember his name, but my daughter loves his body pump class. This whole building really needs a new air conditioning system. And more fans. My biggest criticism is the temperature in the exercise room. It is frequently too hot and the air doesnt circulate. And I am not sure why its so humid. I have never belonged to a gym that is so muggy when the weather is warm.I go at times when the gym is most deserted, so its not hot from other people exercising. I took a thermometer with me--the temperature is in the upper 70s. Thats just too hot! I talked to the management about it but couldnt find anyone who would listen to me about how they need fans on all ellipticals, for a start. And turn on the air conditioning! So I ended up finding another gym.

Weve been members of the YMCA for years now! Weve been to every one in Austin , and I must say this location has some of the most abrasive staff! There are some employees who make me feel uncomfortable and unwanted. Dont get me wrong there are some fabulous employees as well, but I shouldnt feel like Im a nuisance or invisible in a place Ive dedicated lots of money and time. Most frustrating part is ive gotten to the point where if there are certain people in the child care I will NOT put my child there! Ive had more bad experiences with childcare in the younger children than good ones! Ive watched as my 6 month old cried for over 10 mins and not a single person went to distract him or comfort or even acknowledged that he was crying! Im willing to drive the extra 15+ mins to go to town lake
