I purchased a used 2003 Lexus RX and needed some minor things done for a sensor, antenna replaced and speaker switched out. The team did a good job and the price was reasonable. of you dont have a brand new toyota/lexus or its out of warranty I recommend these guys.

I trust Bearden with my high milage Toyota pickup. All the techs are friendly and listen when I try to describe issues Im having with my truck. They never try to upsell me. I first came to Bearden for an estimate after a Toyota dealership quoted me something crazy for a repair. My tech informed me the dealership misdiagnosed my problem and the actual repair would cost less than half of what the dealership would have charged to fix the wrong thing. If you ever drive by there shop take note of all the Land Cruisers theyre working on. Those owners dont take their trucks just anywhere. You wont find a better Toyota shop in Austin.

Do not trust this place, especially for major repairs. I brought my car in august of 2018 to have my car’s engine mounts replaced. My Toyota Solara convertible had 100k+ miles and it need quite a few repairs. As a young & naive college student that’s financially self sustaining , I was looking for a reputable shop. I came across Bearden with great reviews & thought wow this is going to be the place I come to for all my repairs! I was gravely mistaken for trusting this shop.They charged me 1k to replace all of my engine mounts but only replaced one — obviously the one that’s most visible.I remember having one of the shop members “show” me the repair after they were done and thought to myself “Bearden really goes above & beyond,wow.” I was a 20 year old girl with absolutely no knowledge of what an engine mount even looked like???I come to find this out two years later as I’m performing a repair that’s due to my car’s original engine mounts still being in place.Do not trust these people!

Josh is very easy to deal with and an all around good guy. They work on all models of Toyota/Lexus vehicles. Today there were four Land Cruisers there! Bearden Automotive has been servicing my Tacoma for 6+ years and I will not take my truck anywhere else. They have always done an amazing job and Ive never had any issues or complaints whatsoever. The work is done right the first time (never had to come back) and they really take pride in their work. I wish more shops operated like Bearden. They always call and explain whatever is wrong and let you know decide what work needs to be done with no pressure. There is never any upselling or shady BS. Theyve even shown me a few things I can do personally to AVOID replacing an expensive part. Ive dealt with many dishonest auto-repair shops in the past and I am so glad I found Bearden. Just recently, I came in for a check engine light. They initially thought it might have been a leaky valve in the exhaust (~$250) but later discovered it was just the gas cap (~$25). A dishonest business would have tried to screw me out of that extra money but not Bearden! I really trust these guys and everyone is always extremely kind and professional. You will not be disappointed!

This place was exactly what I was looking for!In my 16 years of auto ownership Id never had to pay a mechanic for services, always turning the wrenches myself, but the job on my LS460 was well out of my depth and I felt it better left to the pros. Josh and the guys at Bearden are just that, and they were more than happy to accommodate my own parts hunting in order to allow me to keep my costs under control. I found the parts, had them shipped straight to Bearden, and the guys there turned my car around in just a few days time. The bill was exactly as Id expected it and the car has run phenomenally for the past 5 months/8,000 miles.I cant recommend them enough if youre a Toyota or Lexus driver. Bearden Automotive is the best car repair shop in Austin. I have had Brakes done, wiring harnesses fixed, new starter, broken door handles, an overhaul of the radiator system, a nightmare oil leak, a fuel pump repair and more!I have always liked Toyota and Lexus but cannot stand using the dealership repair shop. Since finding Bearden automotive I will only buy Toyota and Lexus because that is what they repair. If Bearden told me tomorrow they only fix Fords I would sell my Toyota and Lexus and buy a Ford, they are that good and they are my repair shop period.Some news has been good like today all we needed was a new battery, and some has been bad, that oil leak nightmare, but the best part about Bearden is I have never ever felt ripped off. They are not the cheapest but they are the best mechanics I have ever used and they have always been honest and done a good job.

Charles Maund Toyota: It will take $6,500 to fix your car.Bearden Automotive: Hold my beer...Stranded in a Whataburger parking lot, I towed my car to the only place I could think of at the time... Charles Maund. The service manager Angel, was very nice and helpful. They diagnosed my car the same day and came back with ​a solution to the problem.Or perhaps I should say that they diagnosed my car the same day and came back with a solution to the problem.They claimed that battery corrosion ate through at the wires connecting the alternator to the battery. Due how the car was made, the only option was to replace the complete wiring harness and it was going to cost $6,500. Needless to say that was a hard pill to swallow.I called another shop and they said they couldnt take on a project that big, and then referred me to Bearden. I called Bearden and I felt much better about the situation within a few minutes of talking to Josh. He said he had no guarantees without seeing the car, but he could likely do it for considerably less. So, I took a risk and I paid to tow my car to them.THANK GOD I DID!Guess what yall? They tested the voltage going into that wire and the voltage coming out of that wire, and there was nothing wrong with the wire. So what did they do? They slapped a battery in that sucker and the car came back to life! They continued to test it and even took it for a lengthy stroll, and it runs perfectly!Im not sure if Charles Maund just thought oh, she wont bother towing it anywhere else... or if they actually DO think there was corrosion in the wires. But honestly, it doesnt matter. What matters is that Josh had the opportunity to charge significantly more for the repair. And instead, he simply fixed what was wrong. In an industry that is notorious for taking advantage of unsuspecting people, Bearden is the place you can trust.Bearden will not only be the place we take all of our vehicles, but it will be the only place we recommend to any of our friends.Thanks for being the rockstars we badly needed! Ive been taking my Lexus to Beardens for about 16-17 years and they have always done an excellent job. We moved a few years ago and I took my car to someone else but then had to take it to Beardens to fix what the other car repair shop messed up. I HIGHLY recommend Beardens for any Lexus or Toyota repair.

We had expected a simple disc pad replacement, but teardown revealed severe damage to one rotor. They immediately ordered replacement rotors from WorldPac where I used to work, and where they were my customer. They showed me the damage and I approved the additional repair. Because of their prompt action it only took a short time to do the extra work while I waited. I will continue to use Bearden for any additional work on this second Prius.

A couple weeks ago, my 2007 Toyota Prius needed a 12v battery replacement. It was the first replacement I needed for it since I bought the car in the middle of 08 and I have about 125k miles on it. Even though Batteries Plus said they would do it, when they took a look at what would have to be done in the trunk to replace the battery, they immediately changed their minds. Frustrated, I went to Bearden who I have worked with for years, and they knocked it out in under two hours at a great price. Today I took it in to see about getting the parking brake line looked at to pass state inspection, and they were able to diagnose and adjust the cable in the morning and I picked it up in the afternoon without a problem, and as always, very affordable. These guys are so good at what they do, I told them if I lived outside of Texas and I was able to drive my car into their shop to have anything worked on it, I absolutely would. In fact, theyre so amazing, Im having a difficult time considering upgrading my car to something other than a Toyota or Lexus! When it comes to being professional, friendly, timely, and affordable, there is nobody else on the planet I can think of to take my car. Could I have taken my car to a shop closer to my home? Absolutely. Should I? Never. Not a chain repair shop, not another mom and pop shop, not even a certified dealership comes anywhere close to how incredible these guys are. I have no doubt in my mind my car would make it to a million miles with their help, and I just might see if I can make that happen. Thank you Josh and crew at Bearden!
