I got a sweet deal on an 86 Fleetwood Brougham in Tucson, AZ and drove it all the way home with my newlywed in January. Ran decent, but the desert car needed some work. Over the course of a few months, the owner John gave the car some serious TLC. Spruced up the carb, new engine and trans gaskets, new belts, brake hoses, restored the radiator and flushed the cooling, new suspension, and much more.Weve put a few hundred miles on it since then. No problem. Its been reliable, drives like butter and stops on a dime. Me and my wife enjoy driving this beast on a Sunday sunset. It wouldnt have been possible without John and Golden Auto. John is extremely knowledgeable in Cadillacs, especially the Northstar engines.I found John four years ago and took my 1998 Cadillac DeVille to him for some minor repairs, Valve Cover Gaskets, Tie Rods, and Rear Air Suspension. All of the repairs have been completed with precision and have performed exactly as expected.Recently, my DeVille has the dreaded Northstar Headgasket failure. With over 210,000 miles, its was expected. I also had some other repairs needed, Transmission Torque Converter, AC components, and other preventative maintenance.I dropped my off and explained to John what I wanted repaired/replaced and he agreed. This was an extremely intricate repair and expectedly took a few weeks to complete. He found several other repairs that needed to be addressed due to the age and originality of the vehicle. He completed all of the requested repairs and fixed some things I didnt even know needed it (free of charge).I picked up the car on a Monday afternoon, and it was as if I had driven it out of the showroom. The engine pulls stronger than I can remember and the transmission shifts seamlessly. I cannot begin to express my gratitude to John and Chris for treating my DeVille with such care and bringing it back to what you think a Cadillac should be.
