I have had the worst experience in my life trying to get a fair price for my water damage to my home. The insurance company paid for their own adjuster which price was so low you could not purchase the replacement items let alone pay anyone to install the cabinets, flooring, and so on. I had a general contractor put together a quote that pricing was done by actual products from stores. Since prices were so far apart they wanted to hire another adjuster. I asked if it was ok for me to use a person both are not related to with 30 years experience and great reviews and perfect on BBB. This general contractor can within $234 of my original General Contractor. Since neither knew the other and had no idea the other put together a proposal I thought was incredible. I also did my own with the help of store fronts and was close as well to the two general contractors. The insurance person still wanted to hire another adjuster of their own. I said that is fine however I would like if they could show products and pricing so I could see if the products matched likes to the items in my home. They said they do not do that way. They use computer generated numbers that no one can see or know are compared to the products in your home. I suggest the can verify products and verify quotes. Example the exact flooring company said it would send a link to the insurance company and they could give the $500 for a verification exact quote and every cent would be used towards my replacement dollars which actually cost zero dollars to either party. Insurance agent refused and wanted to waste money to pay for adjuster on their payroll and show no products just numbers that no one can verify anything from. I feel this insurance company has ignored questions from me as to my loss of use of my kitchen to matching paint in my entrance way that is seen and connected to living area. I feel it has been all about them and after I have done everything they asked for I have been given no say or I feel I have zero rights
