My 11 year young Lennox fell off its last leg finally. Mainly due to shoddy install by who ever did it. Used Stans since they helped me squeeze every last bit of cool out of the old unit for a couple of years. Jorden came over, checked out the joke, er the old HVAC that I had. And we talked what would be good for me. When I had a question or concern about my upcoming purchase, he answered promptly. Helped me with the financing.Adam and Toby came over right on time and put the old AC out of its misery and installed a brand new Carrier Infinity 5 speed heat pump with duel fuel. And zoning. The new plenums they put in look great! They dont leak. They showed me how to work the Thermostats. Went over what they did. And left the house in great shape.There was a minor hick up with the install, the dampers were wired wrong. A tech came out RIGHT AWAY that night and had it fixed fast. And the house cooled properly right away.After the install, Jorden stayed in touch. Asking how everything went. And answered questions on how to work the system and what to expect from it.As you can see, I get a great 21* spread. #2 equals return plenum temp and #3 is supply plenum temp. The humidity stays at 50 or so %. 68* actually feels like 68. The carrier is so quiet. The neighbors Bryant sounds like jet engine compared with my carrier. Cant even hear my compressor or fan unless Im right up on it.When I recover from paying for this system, will use Stans to put in a ductless split unit in the garage.

Had to call late Saturday because AC was blowing hot air. Joshua was great and very professional. The coil has to be replaced,, but he was able to get it charged and kept us cool for a couple days.Update, apparently the hole in the coil was larger than thought, it lasted for two nights. They reached out to me on Tuesday to let me know that the new coil would be here on Wednesday. I was going to have to get a hotel room for the night, but Stans came out and put some more freon in so we could stay cool during this 100 degree day. At no charge, I might add. Thats customer service!

Our experience with Stans was exceptional. Michael and Jagger did a same day installation of our new A/C System. Michael and Jagger were professional, courteous and knowledgeable about our project. To our surprise they asked us to inspect their work on completion and made minor changes making the project to our satisfaction. We would highly recommend Stans to anyone needing a new A/C System.

Home warranty assigned a contractor that wouldn’t come till the end of the week, it’s 100 degrees in Texas! Called Stan’s and had an appointment 2 hours later, maybe it was timing, but Andrew showed up, great communication, very informative, and had our AC back up to cool the family off. Will definitely call Stan’s rather than home warranty next time. Thank you!

Service was scheduled very rapidly. And plumbers arrived the next day.They replaced my garbage disposal with a new one I purchased in advance. The work was done professionally and fast enough.The only aspect I didnt like is the way Stan quotes de cost. They didnt give me a quote over the phone, just said they would charge $89 for the service call. Once here, they quoted the actual cost. Stan was nice enough to lower that cost to something very reasonable.

Stan’s dispatch was efficient and provided a definitive window for an ac repair issue during the heat of the summer. The technician came within that window (although the system did not give the ‘heads up’ call as promised). And Andrew could not have been better. Professional, knowledgable, efficient and personal. Am so appreciative and happy. Final bill total was very fair, especially given a Saturday call.

Service Tech Wilson Shelton did outstanding work. He was on time with a one hour til arrival call and was polite and went right to work. He found the problem and had the part, and made the repair. He did a/c check and full maintenance. He was very neat and checked and cleaned all equipment. The price was exactly what he quoted. Five stars for Stans and Service Tech Shelton.

The reason I ended up not using Stans was due to the following:I was quoted $450. just for technician to show up! I get it, it was a Sunday!Then quoted another $650. to glue in a 1 pvc connection that broke, approximately 4 long. Maybe an hours worth of work!!I called around and EVERY business I contacted were astounded at the price!!!Stan.....if this is how you conduct business,SHAME ON YOU!!!

Had asked to be contacted in advance to ensure I have the right equipment on hand and never was. As a result I wasnt able to get all the work done that I had planned.More investment in the front office booking job scoping area would be helpful!

Called at 3pm because my ac was not cooling properly. Got an appointment for the same day. The technician got here at 5pm, called prior to arriving, went on the roof, found the problem and fixed the part in less than 5 minutes. Very happy with my first time experience with Stans. Will call them back to service my ac.

My AC started blowing only warm air late on July 2nd. I contacted Stan’s dispatch about 8:30 am on July 3rd. They promised a technician between 3 and 7 pm. I received a call and text about 4 pm stating the technician was on the way. He was timely and professional. He discussed the situation and trusted what I had already attempted. He quickly found a failed capacitor, replaced it and had everything running in about 30 minutes. He then verified my coolant on both of my units. He also answered all my curiosity questions. Kudos to Marshall Harris for a job well done! I highly recommend these guys.

Mr. Wylie was extremely professional and efficient. I have an 11 year old unit, so I was anticipating the dreaded “it’s time to replace”. Instead a quick and relatively inexpensive fix solved my issues. I had annual maintenance preformed and Mr. Wylie was on-time and through. He spent the time to review my unit and go over the basic monthly maintenance I should be doing myself (oops). I would highly recommend this company- well worth the minimal expense to get the job done right

Our technician was early, friendly, informative, and kind. They are literally running around the city making sure everyone is comfortable upwards of 10 calls a day and yet you wouldnt know it based on how personable he was. So excited to be part of their yearly maintenance program.

They were able to make it to my house on a Saturday evening. They told me what the issue was with my A/C system, but I had to wait until Monday for someone to call me with a parts estimate. No cool air for at least 3 days during Texas summer was going to be unbearable. Finally got the call about 4pm with a very high parts and labor quote. I got a second estimate from a smaller HVAC company and saved about $600.

The tech was very nice and knowledgeable unfortunately he didnt fix the problem. 4/12 the problem had a temporary fix, called back before 5pm to send some out again on Wednesday. Wednesday at 1pm I called to find out what happened, they gave me excuses that internet was down. I was told a tech would be at my place between 4pm and 6pm, I called at 530pm asking where is the tech. I received a call at 6pm that a tech would be available at 8pm. I rescheduled for Friday. This is a brand new house with Century Communities and has had nothing but problems. Stans is the company that installed the air and heating system.Update from 4/25 finally warm enough to run the A/C and guess what, it still doesnt work.

We had a great experience using Stans. Wed been looking for a reliable, knowledgeable plumbing team to do annual inspections and general repairs. Stans gave us plenty of notice for when the tech would arrive and Steve showed up on time. Steve was knowledgeable and enjoyed explaining things and showing me the reasons for his recommendations. The VP, Brian, even answered my follow up questions and walked me through pricing. Its a huge relief finding someone we can rely on. Hopefully they wont find anything wrong with the system next inspection but if they do I know well be in good hands.

I work as a roofing contractor and had a nail pierce an improperly located copper AC line in a customers home. My customer called Stans Heating, Air & Plumbing, Marshall was dispatched and called the customer to let him know he would be able to come earlier than expected. Marshal tested the system, diagnosed pressure loss, waited a few minutes while my construction leader removed a small portion of the roof to allow him access to where he needed to fix the line and had the system up and running smoothly again in just minutes. He retested pressure and ran an electric check as well just to make sure all aspects of the unit were at spec.As a professional contractor I was very impressed. Quick dispatch, excellent communications, professional attitude/service, excellent explanation of the problem and what was required to resolve it. My customer was as impressed as I was, a situation that one would expect would take multiple visits was corrected the first time out. It doesnt get better than that.While Marshal was working we shared about how much we enjoyed our work and our respective companies, how management always backed us so we could serve the customer. As a construction professional this spoke volumes of the ethos and customer-centric style of Stans Heating, Air & Plumbing.I had an excellent experience, my client was impressed and very grateful, and recommend Stans Heating, Air and Plumbing to any that need HVAC services.

I called and set up an appointment for someone to come out between 3 and 7 p.m. They didnt show up until 7:07 p.m. The gentleman was nice. I explained what I thought was wrong. He tried to unclog a pipe to the system for approximately 30 minutes. He said he fixed it, charged me $244 and said he emailed me a receipt, which he did not. The system shut off not even 5 minutes after he left. I called but no one answered and I left a message. I called first thing the next morning to be told the same technician could be sent out but not until 7 p.m. the following evening. I stated I wanted a different technician and she told me no. I asked to speak with a manager and was told he wasnt available and would call at some point. Now I am out $244 I have no receipt because they never sent it, and my unit is still broken. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! BEWARE!!!! YOU WILL BE SORRY!

I had to update my review after Stans fixed our A/C and went the extra mile to make it right. I had experienced some communication issues with some of the staff receiving phone calls at first. There were parts order delays and we got quite frustrated with a lack of clarity on what the issue was.What impressed me is that Stans continued to send people out free of charge to fix what was actually a very complicated and odd A/C issue. They even refunded the cost of a part that was installed that did not fully fix our issue.As a small business owner, I understand that the core management of the business cant have their hands on every aspect all the time. Someone bad experiences happen. You want the business that will do everything in their power to make it right and protect their reputation.

My A/C went out this afternoon (a mere 90 degrees in ATX) and my warranty company said they couldn’t get anyone to fix it for 24 hours. Another place I called said it wouldn’t be for a week! I called Stan’s and they had a professional here within an hour. He diagnosed and fixed the problem within half an hour of that. And my dog liked him, too. I hope I’m able to change this review. I had a working a/c (not aged) with no issues. The inspector for the buyer of my home said a line was partially clogged. I called Stans and they blew the line out (and charged an additional $350-$450 for some UV light). Days later…my a/c suddenly quits working. I called them for an emergency service (after 5 pm when I arrived home and it’s July). The first answering service person was rude, the connection was horrible, and we were ‘disconnected’. I called back and reached an individual I could barely understand. An hour later, still no call back. After my third call, someone finally called me back and said they only had ONE technician (for the entire Austin area), I was “too far out of town” (Lakeway) and the soonest someone could come out was in the morning. I sure hope I get to see what all these great ratings are about because, thus far, they have failed the grade. Miserably

Stans has started using some sort of direct texting advertising service. Stans and I have never done business. Ever. We have never communicated, hell I havent even lived in Texas in 5 years. But Stans think its ok to start blowing up my phone with advertisements I have never requested.Unsolicited communication I believe is still illegal in this country under the CAN-SPAM Act. Stan, where every you are - Im reporting you. I believe the fine is $1500 per incident. You might consider firing your marketed person as theyre about to cost you a great deal of money.

Last week Stan’s came and failed to remedy our problem but did charge over $400 for 2 1/2 pounds of Freon and a service call. The guy was in and out as fast as possible and did not thoroughly review our problems. Did not really listen to what I was describing. I requested they return this week. They made appointment in a 4 hour window. No one showed between the hours estimated. And we did not receive a call. I had to call them.I requested they schedule us first thing the next day. They refused and would only schedule the following week. Scheduler not concerned about customer need. I prefer to work with a company more concerned about customer.

The 2 gentlemen who came to my home were on time, courteous, professional and friendly, and most of all were clearly knowledgeable. They worked hard and fast, but made sure to do a top rate job. My A/C went out around 10:30pm on July 3rd, the day before a pretty hot holiday. I think we all know you dont want to exist in the Texas summer without an A/C. I called a bunch of after-hours emergency A/C repair numbers. Each one of them went to a call center and each one told me they would have a technician call back within 15-30 minutes. Hours went by, multiple calls were made, and I eventually realized that most of them were just lying; they simply had no technicians available and were just intent to make me wait until it was convenient a few days later. So much for emergency repair work.Stans was the one place that called me back. It was already 2am before I finally called them; their technician named Chris called me back within 20 minutes. I explained the problem and he said that hed be there in less than 30 minutes. He showed up, was super friendly, took a look at everything, and was able to fix the problem within an hour. The total bill was only $89.00 - the standard fee for an emergency, after-hours call.Ive saved them to my contacts for all things related to my house repairs and will gladly give them any business related to my HVAC system in the future. I really couldnt recommend these guys more. They were friendly, honest, affordable, quick-to-respond, and truly helped me at a pretty desperate time.

We have a mini-split unit in a garage apartment that has had a leak for a few years. Previous companies have had difficulty finding the leak, so we have been forced to just recharge the coolant each summer. Daniel with Stans quickly diagnosed the problem and they are working on ordering parts to permanantly fix the problem. Very professional, same day service (which was not necessary in my situation, but was much appreciated). Would highly recommend.

The repairman was at my house in about 2 hours. He was very good.He identified the problem and fixed it.The only complaint I have seems to be an administrative one.I signed up for the Gold service for $159. The document they sent me said $159 PER MONTH. Its supposed to be $159 per year. They said it was a mistake and will send me a revised document.They did send it. All is well. :)

UPDATE: Stans reached out to me to try to rectify the situation and they were very apologetic. Even though I have already found another company to fix my AC I respect them for owning up to the mistake and will adjust my rating accordingly from 1 to 3 stars.Original Review: First time they came out they tried to patch the issue which didnt hold up after a month. They then came out and tried to patch it again and it immediately fell apart so they said I would be contacted in a hour about a permanent fix... Two days later I get a call and they scheduled an estimate (not an hour). I called back to ask if an estimate meant they would still have to schedule a repair and I was told they would find out and call back, they never did. The final straw was they no called no showed on the estimate appointment. So two months of dealing with them and my AC has the same problem.

It took over a month to get our ac fixed, because they forgot to order the part we needed when they said they would. And it took us calling to ask when they were coming back for them to remember to order it. For that I would give them 0 stars. But I will give 2 stars because the technicians were efficient and nice, and honestly the only good thing about the horrible experience.

I wish I could give 0 STAR. Absolutely ZERO Professional approach towards work.My AC unit was making High Pitch Screeching Sound , As Stans AC installed my AC when builder gave me Home, I asked them to come and look at issue (thinking they may be knowing the AC Unit in and out...)Scheduled Technician visit , Technician came and just spent 5 min to find the root cause, He only removed the AC cover, and rotate the Blower wheel with hand (as far as his hand can reach) and suggested to order and replace the blower wheel , charged me diagnosis fee , and left.And depending upon the availability of part it may take a month , and part and labor would cost around $450.(additional)Nobody called me for next 2-3 days , I tried to reach them but they told me that its heavy service backlog at their end so some body will call me this week.Being an Electrical Engineer I was not satisfied with the way diagnosis was done.I asked OTHER company to come and Diagnosis . The Other companys Technician came and opened the UNIT and found that the the screw/nut on which blower wheel rotate was loose making the blower wheel wobble while rotating and touching the side walls , hence making screeching sound. He fixed it and AC is working fine.I Will NEVER recommend Stans to ANYONE for their HVAC servicing needs.

I needed help replacing whole house water filter cartridges and couldnt get the old ones off due to the pressure, even after I released the pressure. Unfortunately Stans is one of the companies price gouging after the storm in Austin. I had them come to look at my water heater to assess if it could be fixed. The person who came took a picture of the unit, gave me a quote ($4K) for a new unit and install. The unit I have was never fully assessed on if it could be repaired - they just jumped right to the replacement. On the replacement, the unit had a 60% premium on it, and labor was estimated to be at least $1400. Unfortunately, I thought a local company may not try to take advantage of consumers, but not the case here.On the positive side, the person that did come was on time, was nice, and was just doing what was their standard operating procedure.

Our heat has been out for four days now and since our warranty is through Stans, we should expect them to fix something when it is broken. Called to schedule a AC inspection for my clients who do not speak english, are covered under our agency-provided home warranty, and Id be paying for their service. They wouldnt allow me to schedule the appt without speaking with her..who, again, doesnt speak English. Happily moved on to another reputable and equally licensed/proficient company who was ready and willing to ensure their employees had work and got a paycheck. Wont be using this company for personal or business transactions.

Can’t say enough good things about Stan’s and my experience with Steve Garcia. My work was pretty urgent and it was handled in the best, most timely way possible. Got an estimate right away and got started on the project before other companies even came in for an estimate. This speaks to their professionalism and care for customers. Steve was courteous and friendly, getting the work done the best way, on time and answering all my questions. Stan installed two AC units in our home build in 2017. After 3 years, one unit stopped blowing cold air. We called Stan, and the technician that came was on time and professional. He said that the txv was bad/clogged. We did not ask a lot of questions because we didnt know what questions to ask. He answered our questions but didnt really offer up a lot of info or detail. He said that the Parts Dept. will order the part which is under warranty and someone will contact us about pricing, hinting its going to be an expensive repair. After 2-3 days, I called them up because I did not hear from them. I asked for an estimate in writing but the lady in Customer Service said they dont give estimate in writing. I even had to ask her to send me my receipt for diagnostic. She transferred me to Parts Dept. and the man who answered the phone just quoted me the labor cost on the repair. I dont understand why the technician who diagnosed the problem did not write up the estimate and recommendations for the work to be done. I was trying to ask the poor guy (which was actually nice) from the Parts Dept. what else is included in the repair except for replacing the txv. If Im going to be charged almost $1,000 for labor, Im expecting a bit more detail. I had to call a couple of AC companies to get a second opinion. Both companies were able to give me a detailed quote within 15 minutes of them leaving my house.

First things first my AC went out at 8pm, my husband, myself and our 3 kids were getting ready for bed. As you can probably guess we did not get much sleep last night. Marshall came to evaluate our HVAC to see if we could re-wire our system to be compatible with Nest Learning Thermostat. Since our system is proprietary (communicates with outdoor system) we found out it’s not compatible with Nest but came to a few different solutions on how we can get the most out of our system and feel comfortable, temperature-wise. Marshall was on time, extremely professional and well educated on all things heating and cooling and was patient with us as we asked him many questions (and since we’re first time home owners we had a lot of questions.) Looking forward to working with Stan’s in the future again!

We called for an appointment and got service the same day - awesome. Larry and Jacob were very professional, got us an immediate estimate for the work we needed and after getting our go-ahead, took care of our problems. What a relief to get work done in such a timely way.
