After reading some of the reviews, I was a little skeptical on expecting anything above subpar. Yet, my experience went smooth. Arrived an hour prior to appointment, was given a door upon check in. Had me unloaded w/I an hour. Whole process from check-in to check-out was roughly 1.75- 2 hours.Performance wise they did a lot better than most receivers Ive experienced.
What a nice team i came with no appointment (broker lie to me) they made a room for me and they were very nice from the receiving lady to the manager and the yard guy who even helped me with cutting my seal with all them smiling to me face. We really don’t see that everywhere. thank you guys for making my delivery east
I dont mind delivering here at all! Friendly staff, quick service!
L came in about half hour early for my appointment he put me in a door right away took maybe 2 hours to unload. The guy that checked me in and out and the lady were very nice. I didnt have any trouble with traffic on the road there was one truck parked off to the side. My only complaint is I had a little bit of hard time finding it in the dark.
Friendly staff.Business owners... however... they know how to make money and spend very little.... hence Business owners and not truck drivers. The yard is 10% size of what ir should be.It took 4.5 hrs to unload me ( full truck).Deliveries ar night only. No parking on-siteLittle gate on the side.
Parking on the street is the first thing that needs address. It’s unsafe to park that many trucks on such a small and busy street. My appointment time was 04:30, I arrived at 03:30 to find several trucks parked everywhere along the street and other side streets. At 06:30 I got a door. At 10:12 a McLane employee crashes a trailer into my diver side door while attempting to back into the door next to me causing severe damages. 10:30 I was unloaded. The shipping/receiving staff where helpful and friendly. If your out of EFS checks and ask nicely, they’ll hook you up with one. Management did not want to give me any information concerning the crash. The only thing they let me have was a photo of their insurance. I called Cobb county police and filed a police report. That’s when they finally coughed up the information needed for me to file a claim with McLane hq.
I would like to give a minus star but thats not possible... so rude personal.. took h to even let me in a dock.. poor communication...first and last time del. here...👎
If I could rate a 0 I would. The lady at the truck receiving window was beyond rude and instead of talking to me said no you need to read the rules. Then instead of telling me my paperwork is done she left it on the desk in the office and me just sitting there when she said she was going to call. Then be sure to have a COM check on you this is the only company in the universe that doesn’t take confirmation numbers. And to finish this rant about how horrible they are they are very DISORGANIZED.
Absolute worse no organization Rude service especially receiving Clerk particularly the lady that starts receiving at 12:30 am always talking on phone playing music then screaming like you cant hear her overall bad attitude usually 2 hours wait time sometimes 4 after your appointment, trucks get clusterd together hard to find parking check in process always get messed up dont show up early will be told to wait till appt time never like coming here would not if I didnt have too
Great customer service And unloading was quick
This place is yet another McLane facility youd be wise to avoid. My appointment time was for 0030 - I go and ring the intercom buzzer by the closed gate and you cant hear a word receiving is saying over the cheesy speaker. (Sounds like the teacher in Charlie Brown, WHA, WHAA, WA, WAA WA!) Receiving personnel comes to the gate to say the facility wouldnt receive trucks until 0130. When 0130 rolls around I pass through the gate, park the tractor-trailer and proceed to the receiving office only to be told to comeback in 20 minutes. I return in 20 minutes and am then informed that they dont have a door for me yet. I go back to my tractor-trailer, wait around some more, receive a phone call and finally assigned a dock number then have to wait for the guy in the dock to leave my assigned dock. I also need to fill out a $220 Commdata check for the lumper fee - cash or credit not accepted. Plus, the docks are a pigsty make sure you look for debris that might puncture a tire. Its now 0530 as I write this and McLane still hasnt started unloading my trailer and I notice how the red & green dock light system doesnt seem to be working. All around this is a miserable experience brought about by a company - McLane - who obviously doesnt give a rip about efficiency instead preferring to waste peoples time.
Went in for the job they hired me on the spot
The lady in the office she is something else they if you late and reschedule they will charge you 250$ you can park across the street another company parking lot
I got empty in 1 hour..Guy in receiving office on first shift is very helpful allows drivers to use restroom inside the warehouse ..appreciate 👍👍
Fast in and Fast Out Service! The Clerk Was Such A Doll Very Nice Young Lady. Quick Service Here
Women inside the receiving office is disrespectful, there is a nicely way to said ...come back at your appt time. Even if I was one hour early, was rude. Also she screen a lot idk probably is because the music she have is to laud!
Very rude one person tells you one thing then immediately another tells you something totally different
I had mixed thoughts about going there from some of the reviews. Went in at 23:45 for a 00:00 appt. was told to come back to intercom at 01:30. Went back was told 02:00. Went back at two and was told 0300, went back at 0300 and the lady said I was late!!! I explained to her and she gave me a door. 2 hours later I was called to come get bills and was even able to stay and finish my 10 without any interruption. Very nice people and nice clean spot. Hopefully someone doesn’t ruin that because I ended up staying longer than 10 hours.
Good place slept in dock door nobody bother me
They need a WHOLE reconfiguration of how they handle all these trucks piling up out on the street making you wait & wait & wait!! 🤮I dont EVER want to come here again! Ill make sure of that too!! 🧐
Come in to the gate exactly what the appointment time is. You will need to get the door number assigned through the intercom gate system before you get to the receiver. Otherwise, you will be sending back to the street.
No communication wont answer tha call box 2nd time here same story lumper wont show up to work so yiur just to supposed to guess when thay will start receiving 😊
Its a cluster first before you show up take 2 advil 2nd park on street walk po # to the gate push buttonOn the speaker she will tell you a door # or she will get your # and call you when a door is available when she does call back in door put seal in trailer walk bills to the shipper put door # ON BILLS AND YOU PHONE NUMBERthen wait for a call ugggghh it was raining so I had bad experience plus drivers didnt park on street just drove in and blocked everybody and cut in line
The best McClane that Ive ever visited. The receiving lady is nice, and the manager is a good dude. Dont park in front of the receiving door, especially before 1230am, or youll be told to move.
First time here was good. This time no answer at the call box. At 12:15 a Mclane driver censored us in the gate. Then trucks that weren’t supposed to check in yet were parked with trucks that couldn’t get in the doors. The lack of direction at the call box made an unnecessary mess.
Awesome place! Checked in at 12:30 AM for a 04:00 AM appointment. Got a door right away and after just a few minutes they started unloading. I was unloaded with paperwork in hand by 02:00 AM.
Heavy volume of traffic? No problem! These guys are professionals!
A few trucks can park out on the street by the entry way. Upon entry, I parked, quick check in for midnight appt. Took until 4:30 am to get Bills but hey, it happens sometimes so overall experience is worth a 4 star.
Every time i come my appt gets pushed back because they can’t start on time and get there drivers out
They start to work from 00:30Walk to intercom and stay in a big line...this is the check in procedure
Waited 3 hours standing still by the receiving office. No kidding this is the horrible place, get ready experience that. Get some food, water, a sleep.
My appointment was for 1:00am the clerk checks all the 1:00am appointment in first which is a great thing she didn’t let anyone check in before the 1:00am Trucks(Very Professional). Everyone there has pleasant attitudes being a driver over the road can be a bit overwhelming but as soon as I enter the facility I was welcome with a smile and a great attitude by the clerk she will let you know your lumper fee and have you put your number on the bills to call once your truck is done. This has been my first time coming to this location and I must say bravo to your team. Going into this facility at that time of morning I was hoping for rudeness(That’s what I normally get around that time) I was very much wrong... very sweet young lady that sits at the desk she be moving so quickly my eyes couldn’t keep up she’s all about getting the drivers into the doors and out the way. Lumper service moves a bit slow when waiting on the receipts but fast with offloading but other then that(waiting on receipts) awesome experience.
A serious outfit with no exceptions.Get here, sign in,back to a door, wait for a call and get your signed paperwork after you pay the lumpers.(BOLs).no delays.
Came to a job fair with man dude, pay and benefits appear to be decent BUT! Huge BUT you sacrifice nights and weekends smh
A McLane like none other. Friendly people, unloaded ahead of my appt, no hassle. Dwight was awesome to deal with.
Unorganized ,2 oclock appointment still waiting at 6 Oclock in the morning for a door went in and tried to ask how much longer and all I got was a mumbling answer and a shoulder shrug, good job McLanes
Appt 0800. Showed at 0715. Put in dock immediately. Was empty with paperwork by 0830. Restrooms for drivers
Im there every 3 days.. The grounds are always look good, safe and well lit at night.
Pay is good, but management is horrible & show favoritism other than that good place to work, could be better with the right management crew
Park along the road, walk up to the gate and press the button on the box.(Have your P.O.# ready) They will tell you if you will have to walk back up and do it again, closer to your appt time or if they will take you right then. When they give you a door, they will have you put your seal in the back of the trlr and back in, BEFORE you bring paperwork to office. Once in office, they will tell you lumper amount. I checked in @ 3:30am for a 4am appt, hit the door and was empty @ 4:45am. Was allowed to park in their yard to finish my 10hr break. So far, this seems to be the best McLanes I have been too. 4 stars because there is no parking (except on street) before check in...
It’s nice the upper management left reviews but don’t take this company serious for a job. They are unorganized and lazy. HR is never even there. They don’t take schedules seriously hell half the time they have no idea what’s going on. NOT military friendly!!
Very fast service, the young lady at the desk moves very quickly I’m used to going to other companies where they are always slow at checking me in but the young lady at the desk was so fast I was in and out she calls the drivers when they are finish getting counted and unloaded I like how she let every driver know she’s not coming to get them if they are not answering their phones due to them sleeping in their trucks. I know how it is being a driver and falling asleep but as she stated she has to get the drivers out the doors to put the new drivers that’s coming in a door. I been coming there for years and I never experience how fast someone moves even the lumper service unloaded me quick. I came between the hours of 2am receiving hours for it be that early in the morning everyone be so happy.I enjoy coming to a business knowing I’m going to get respected and a smile when I walk in because dealing with different personalities everyday can become a bit overwhelmed, seems like everyone that works there are very friendly and fun. Keep up the great work Mclane, if I had my own business I’ll differently hire the young lady I say that because she knows how to multitask she was handling 5 different things at one time and still manage to check me in quickly she’s a bit feisty but she handle things well and that’s everytime I come.
Fast unloading.before appt.nice personal.lumper fee 90$ cash or checks...
It took under an hour to get unloaded. Would be 5 stars but you do have to pay a lumper service.Tip: truck entrance is not off Six Flags Road. Its off the side street Southside of building. Receiving department is in the middle of the building and shipping is right on your left when you pull to the gate
McLane Austell is the worst place to work. A lot of work with a little pay. Also the supervisors are very lazy and unkind.
This place is so unorganized and takes 5 hours to unload you. Horrible place to deliver a load.
Nice place, app only, 8am app, empty 9:30am
Husband had an interview and was hired at the their job fair!
Appointment 5am at door 510 out 545 only problem poorly mark entrance hard to see it at night but sec time easy
Fast unload, receiving start 2am
Great team members
Very professional people parking lot is large to move around with Appt.7am out in one hour thank you for your service
The Will Call service at this location is the absolute worst Ive ever seen. I avoid pickups here whenever possible.
A food distribution warehouse
Great place to work
Very fast service
The yard is tight and disorganized but the girl at the desk gets you in the door and on the way
Good people
Took over an hour just to check in. Bunch of drivers in line. Receiving is 12:00 am to 8:00 am.The girl at the receiving is so slow.
