We had nothing but a good experience renting a trailer from this location. They were plenty friendly, fast, and efficient. They hooked the trailer up for me which was nice so I didnt have to worry if I did it right. We definitely plan to use them again in the future if we need too. Thank you!

Place was clean and it was easy to pickup and return the cargo van that I reserved. I returned the van after hours and was able to use the uhaul mobile app to process the return.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I booked my uhaul over a month in advance and they call me 5 minutes before 24 hours of picking my uhaul up to cancel. They said they didn’t have an available uhaul within 300 miles. Their solution to the problem was to drive 300 miles to pick up a truck and drive 300 miles back to drop it off. Never once did I receive an apology and when I tried to call back to figure out another solution, I waited 30 minutes and was hung up on. I went to leave a review on their website and was unable to because my reservation was canceled. I called Penske truck rentals and was able to book a truck immediately for tomorrow. I will never use uhaul again, their costumer service is unacceptable.

We had to go to this location due to an issue with our truck being broken at a different location, and Bryan was WONDERFUL. He was very accommodating and did his best to make up for the issues with the other location, even though he had nothing to do with those problems. i would highly recommend using this place.

The staff at the Aurora location is helpful and kind. At this location one can donate gently used boxes, no matter the brand, and grab a couple tu o go, at no charge.

Had a hitch installed on my Jeep today. I could not leave my vehicle so I had to stay and wait. They told me it would take about 3 hours, and it took about 2.5 hours. They were very accommodating; had fast guest WiFi and a little area for me to sit. One of the women even offered up her office for me to sit and relax in. It doesn’t take a lot to please me, but my time there was good. Very happy to have my hitch installed.If you have to stay for a hitch install just connect to the WiFi, bring headphones, and watch YouTube. You’ll be good to go.

DO NOT GET YOUR HITCH DONE HERE. I had them install a hitch on my 3 year old vehicle with 20k miles. Picked up vehicle and parts were missing and trunk would not open. They said not there fault and it must have just broken on its own even though they had the trunk apart. They clearly put my vehicle back together wrong and now Im forced to take to dealer to get repaired. I will be pursing this further. I would definitely not use them again.

Wish I could give 0 stars. We reserved our truck for move and when we reached it was a mess. The front desk ladies were super slow, calling people to re make reservations mid way, waited an hour and still no response for getting my truck. Whats the point of reservation with tine if we can not pick up the truck on time..Do not go there.

Not much to say. It is a self storage facility. Basic units. They do slightly overstate the sizes. The unit that I rented is about a foot shallower than what it is listed as due to the roll down door so keep that in mind when renting a unit.

Truck was loud and messy I can deal w that. They made no mention of the gas level at rental but I returned it full like most rental places. Drive 104 miles at out in 25 gallonsLater found out they gave it to me at half so I asked for a credit for extra fuel ($20-30)If I brought it back empty? Charge plus surchargesNo thanks .nothing. It was my first time renting U-Haul Moving Truck. Made it smoothly when I made reservations online. Actually I made reservations for 20 Truck but they changed my reservation to 15 Truck. I really cant complain about it. But its nice to rent a truck.

2/3 people I’ve met her are nice. I’ve been here a couple of times. But this one lady is always rude and yelling to people. Telling them everything they do is wrong. I am sorry it’s busy but find a job you enjoy. Moving is stressful enough without you being a jerk.

Torn on the stars for this one. I reserved a 20 truck 2 weeks in advance, to be picked up no later than 10am. I was given the confirmation and was told I could pick it up in Yorkville on Sunday. They would call me Saturday with the location and time. Well I got a call Friday that my 20 truck would be available on Sunday, in Fox Valley (over an hour away), after 4pm 😱🤬Im moving out of state which is why I needed it no later than 10am. I didnt want to be unloading at midnight 😕I stated that the time was unacceptable. I was then informed there was nothing they could do about it. Yet another unacceptable answer especially since I gave plenty of notice. Since I HAVE to be out Sunday I am stuck with a 15 truck that I still had to drive to Fox Valley to pick up. I certainly hope all of my stuff fits in this truck because I have no option of coming back for a second load. Im VERY disappointed with Uhaul on screwing up my reservation! Granite they let me pick it up Saturday night at no extra charge seeing they were so far away and I would have lost 2 hours driving to pick it up them driving it back Sunday morning.The girl, Sandra Daley, at the Uhaul facility was very nice. She was quick to bring out the truck.I will definitely be contacting corporate in regards to this! Especially if all my stuff doesnt fit!**UPDATE**My stuff DIDNT fit so I had to pay for a secondary truck. They offered me half off a 10-foot truck which was still $400 I had to pay. Not to mention find another person to drive it all the way into the state I was moving too as well as pay for more gas. I was very grateful for the gentleman at the Uhaul Facility Who understood my tears and frustration and gave me a discount on the fee for the second trailer. I was very very grateful for that but still ticked off that it was an added expense and an unnecessary vehicle I had to find someone to drive as well as pay for gas. Not to mention the fact that the 15-foot truck I drove gave me first degree burns on my Right Foot & Leg. I found out after I dropped it off at the location in my new state that whoever put the engine cover back on did not properly match it up there for all of the engine heat was blasting my leg the whole way here . I am definitely contacting corporate in regards to this!

Would give 0 stars if it was possible. Had an appointment today (08/13/2020) to have a trailer hitch put on in my truck. I received a phone call probably about 5 hours later saying the first worker that was going to install my hitch never showed up for work but there was a second one coming in. Then I got another call about 30 minutes after saying that second employee never showed up either. The woman didn’t apologize. Just said it would have to stay over night and possibly get done the following day. I picked it up and went to river rand auto truck and trailer in stream wood and got it installed in an hour.

I was amazed at the level of service, at this location. I initially called them for a quote on a hitch and noticed a lot of cheaper hitches online. After talking to my mechanic about what he would charge, then looking at DIY videos, then I almost bought the online one until they asked did you want wiring with that? I looked at U-Hauls quote and realized they didnt play games and after I did the math called them and had it installed. Terrific job!

Zero stars if I could give it. When I arrived and came in the store the she was on the phone taking a call and looked at me while I stood there, took her well over a minute to hand up the phone. The equipment/reservations for uhaul I ordered was not available the lady didnt care she said its not my problem. She said I should have called , when the reservation online said this equipment was available at this location. When I asked about my 50 dollar u-haul guarantee she said Im not going give you anything. Horrible experience never going back, and you shouldnt either!

Pretty good location, clean place and pretty fast. I rented a Truck... wish pricing per mile was better. Or to have miles included if you bring back within 2 hours... if afterwards, then we charge X per mile or something. Just a suggestion!

Terrible customer service, they dont seem to have enough employees so you spend most of your time standing around waiting to be helped. The one lady who seems to always be there, short hair, is a busy body who doesnt allow any of the other employees to help a customer without her coming over and giving her two cents. The layout of the store also makes it hard to get in or out. They new management and new training.

Rented a big uhaul 2 days ahead. Get a call the day before that we have to drive the next town over for it because they don’t have it. Go to pick it up at scheduled time and they told us they decided to close early. We need the uhaul today and have to drive 40 min out of our way now to pick up a small uhaul. They won’t refund us they won’t give us a discount no compensation. So money is wasted if we don’t drive to get it. Which we have to now make multiple trips when we are moving an hour and 20 min away. Nice way to treat veterans who serve your country.

Really great experience here. Came to get some boxes for a big move and was helped by two great employees. Didn’t catch their names but I was helped quickly and efficiently, got some good tips on what boxes can help me as well as tools. Really appreciated this facility, and the prices were great!

We were in a pinch. A top mounted bicycle rack did not arrive through a delivery service as promised. Last resort was a trailer hitch. This U-Haul facility was a bee hive of activity today. Several parents were in and out adding the electrical wiring systems to their previously mounted trailer hitches. You would think in a cloud of fussy parents and truck rentals tensions would rise. But the staff at this facility stayed friendly and delivered fast service. Remarkable. To say the least!

Renting out my truck for 4 days (had no choice or not cheaper if returned sooner ) With them was the worse decision ever. Upon spending 1300 for my move to Tennessee an 8hr ride my truck had a leak inside the cabin that was very bad! Got myself and 2 passengers soaked and some of my stuff in the back soaked as well. Speaking to the workers there they didn’t offer ANY APOLOGY COMPENSATION OR SINCERITY IN THERE WAY OF FIXING THE ISSUE. Horrible experience I have pictures and videos and I will post everywhere!One way to tennessee cost 1070 and they make you keep it for 4 days!l even if u don’t need that long! Trailer was another 200 when I first got it it was the last one at that location and the back right break light was out and the guy rigged it together which it kept going out on the 8 hour trip!Total Rip Off and Lost of Money I will never do business with them or recommend them to anyone !

2 workers in there and I was the only customer. Not one time did either of the employees stop their personal conversation to acknowledge my presence or ask if I needed help (which I did).

Went there a couple months ago and the place was pretty busy, I had to wait in line for a little bit which I was ok with but when I had to hear the Manager (lady) argue with a customer in front of everyone that made me feel very uncomfortable, she did not want to back down and just give good customer service at all, so when it came to my turn, I had a man ask me what he could help me with and I said I am here for storage, I said I am looking for a 10x10 and I would like to see what it looks like, he than pointed to the side of the store and said its over there!! Really? I walked my self to the door and than I left, he didnt walk with me and sure didnt care to ask anything else. I sure will not go back and I have heard that their customer service is very poor, no need to go there to save yourself if you need a storage go to CubeSmart, they understand customer service.

Ordered a trailer hitch to be installed at another store near me, Parts Were Somehow sent to the Fox Valley store. I made sure they had everything I needed, got me in immediately and did an excellent job in record time to take care of me. Best U-Haul place Ive ever used.

Margarita is the most patient, calm, and friendly U-Haul employee I have ever dealt with. This year, I have rented 65 trucks, and try to rent from this location as much as possible. I know the trucks are clean, they will quickly answer my questions, and make sure to keep order, while there is mass chaos going on, at all times. She has been nothing but great and her manager Tammy is wonderful too. 5 Stars for this location!

Very courteous and helpful. The saleswoman at the front desk is always cheerful. I’ve visited this location I look forward to seeing her smiling face . She has gone far an beyond to help me on each occasion.

They did a great job on my trailer hitch and wiring, were done in a timely manner, very affordable, and the manager was great.

Needed a hitch installed on my 2016 Nissan Pathfinder. They had it in stock (the exact version I wanted) and installed it the same day. Even got it done faster than quoted. Solid work. I recommend.

The staff were great and very helpful. I rented from this location twice and they were great to work with. The trucks, however, felt a bit unsafe due to the the vehicles having very high mileage (17ft & 15ft trucks). The cost to do a round trip from Lisle to Vernon Hills was affordable! I would come here again. One star taken off due to the vehicles conditions.

Friendly and helpful staff!!! Just a few problems. They gave us a new truck. That had a broken steering wheel!!!! Made it hard to drive cross country!!! Also wipers didnt work. And key would not open passenger side door!!! When dropping vehicle off. Was informed that the vehicle had been previously broken into. He could tell because even key for ignition was hard to insert.

I have rented from there a number of times and still have not had a bad experience.

I did the express check in, which in the past had been very speedy. This location required I go inside to get the keys. Not a huge deal but frustrating when theres only two people working on a Saturday and there was a wait

Best place to store your stuff, in my opinion. Its indoor, climate controlled, each storage unit has an alarm, and you can pay $10 more for 24 hour access. A 5 x 10 unit with insurance and 24 hour access will run you about $125/month. Also, this place has a huge freight elevator for when you are moving stuff and they have plenty of furniture carts, plus a dock area for you to back your vehicle up to. I gave it only 4 stars because of the hassle you must go through to get 24 hour access added to your account. If you want it, make sure you get it in the beginning or else you may have issues with your key card after hours and not be able to get inside your unit.

Truck needed an oil change and really ate my gas..hidden charges

I have rented from this location 2 times. Both times they were very pleasant. in and out in about 15 minutes, and had the equipment i needed. I live downtown chicago and its worth it to spend the extra money on mileage to work with this location instead of the less than honest companies in the city. I definitely recommend this location.

None of these employees are helpful! Im very laid back but had a terrible experience here. When we picked up, the girl said shed come show us our trailer but never came out. We just found it ourselves and hooked up with no help. At drop-off we waited 20 minutes just to be told Oh Ill email you a receipt. Then the next day they called accusing us of keeping their dolly which we dropped of with the trailer. I asked at drop-off if they wanted it inside and she said leave it. So its not my problem its misplaced! And now I have a double charge on my card! Worst U-Haul EVER!

I was a more than a little concerned after reading all of the negative reviews but found the facility to be clean, the equipment was clean and ready to go and most importantly the staff were friendly and efficient. I dealt with 5 different employees between the desk, shop (help w/my hitch and electrical) and the yard and each was helpful and pleasant to deal with. I wouldnt hesitate to rent equipment from this location in the future.

Full service store carries anything you will need to do a self- move. Conveniently located on Rt 59 in Naperville.

I went in to have a trailer hitch installed. I paid $180 and the $180 included cost of hitch, wires, and installation.I was told they didnt have the correct wiring and that they had to use a different wire and I could come back. They called me back in and installed the wiring.When I went to the counter to get my keys they told me it would be an additional $120 for the different wiring.NO ONE TOLD ME IT WOULD COST ALMOST THE SAME AMOUNT I HAD JUST PAID FOR A HITCH AND THEM TO INSTALL IT.FOR A WIRE!!! (This should be illegal)

Best option for those who want to rent vehicles and hardware related to make your own move of goods, be for business or personal they have you covered.

Its a big UHaul center, they have storage lockers and a packing supply store, in addition to rentals. Reserve your car online and early because its popular and they may run out of the truck size you want. Parking lot is small, so maneuver carefully when you get your truck and have to get out of the lot.

Went here to pick up a truck so we could move. Made reservations prior to needing the vehicle. Everything went off without a hitch. The truck was in a good shape, no issues there. Staff was friendly and the store was clean.

Awful experience, scheduled reservation location changed without notice,they lied that we had been called, was able to prove no voice mail received or email sent by U-haul.Bitter older woman behind the counter didn’t even apologize even though we had to drive 30 mins to new location and screwed our delivery schedule.Obviously a normal occurrence at this location.They lost a family of clients for life.

They somehow managed to scam me by telling me to bring the truck back with the same amount of gas that I had when I left, a half tank. So I bring the truck back with exactly a half tank, actually a little extra for good measure, and then I get charged for not bringing it back with a full tank! Then UHaul makes it nearly impossible to dispute the charges. Their word against mine. Will NEVER use this place again.

Had a hitch installed with wiring harness installed. Great price and bought a bike rack while i was there. Great prove and friendly. Was busy when i was there.

Employees are nice and professional, but not too happy with Uhaul itself. Made a reservation for a truck 2 weeks in advance, then got a call 2 days before pickup and they told me they dont have the truck and that they are transferring my reservation 25 miles away. Why reserve a truck if it wont be where you need it? Way to not make good on your reservations uhaul.

Pathetic service. I took an appointment many weeks in advance to install a hitch and they called in to say they’ve bumped my appointment because some else couldn’t make it in time for theirs. More annoyingly, they’d already rescheduled mine and accommodated the other person’s change. How ridiculous and illogical! Won’t be going here for sure

Store employee had a terrible attitude and used unacceptable language. When I informed the employee he said “What do I care? You think you pay my salary I don’t give a ...”. So that’s my experience. Usually do not write bad reviews but, this employee at the Uhaul on Rt59 doesn’t care.

Previous comments are so true. I really was hoping it was not true. You rent from a local Uhaul dealer and they send you to pick up the trailer over an hour away. No customer service help. Talked to a bunch of folks who cannot do anything to help you. So sad and last time I rent ever again. Run folks...dont bother to rent from Uhaul.

So let me start off by saying Ive always used uhaul for moving, however after this experience, I will never go to Uhaul again. I made a reservation online and got a confirmation number to pick up my truck Saturday, September 24th. I made the reservation either Saturday or Sunday of the previous weekend. Well, my husband went Saturday morning at 9am to get out truck... Apparently they gave someone else our truck and said that they called me and left a voicemail ... I never received ANY TYPE OF NOTICE; not a voice-mail, phone call, email, text NOTHING. My husband then demanded that they refund our money and they said they couldnt because we didnt qualify, so after going back and fourth for some time, they finally said that the best they could do is DOWNGRADE us a size that was at a Uhaul that was 45 minutes away and send us a refund check of $50.. we had no choice but to drive the 45 minutes and get that truck because we had movers waiting.. we got the truck, made our move and dropped off the truck within the alloted time. my husband and I then checked our account and noticed that there were TWO charges for UHAUL... one charge for $75 and one charge for $48. we were shocked... so we talked to managment there and they said we used too many miles.. which was THEIR fault in the first place since we had to make two trips (which took 45 mins to get to the old house , and another 45 minutes to get to the new house). they refused to give us atleast SAME of our money back since THEY inconvenienced us. cooperate saw NOTHING wrong with this. it is just horrible customer service. Sorry Uhaul... never again will.i waste my time or hard earned money on a moving truck company that can get nothing right

Good service to move and various vehicles available

A few bad employees ruin any goodwill that the rest of the staff could ever generate with the public. One woman in particular is totally rude, unprofessional and incompetent. This individual only cares about herself and answers the phone as if it were below her to do so. When asked simple questions she scoffs at the idea that customers may not know everything about U-Haul and its policies. If I were you Id suggest going to the other U-Haul storage location down the road for you will receive service that is leaps and bounds above Fox Valley.

Utter incompetence. I went in on Tuesday to confirm getting a u-box and was told to just come in 7AM Saturday and pick one up. I just went in and was told to come back in an hour as she has to ‘dig one up’. I am on a tight schedule today and needed to pick it up at 7AM. Now the whole day is in disarray due to complete lack of ability to provide the promised service
