They really make it easy for everyone who ever thought about joining the MMJ industry here in Colorado to get their start and make this industry truly shine! Their application w-2 form online is a mess. Regardless of the files they claim to support they haven’t been able to accept a single document I’ve tried to upload even after spending the last 3 hours behind a desktop screen changing the file to what they claim to accept. It kicks me from logging in to my google drive & my drop box and they don’t even have a busy line? Just rejected call because the lines busy? Quite ridiculous if I do say so myself.

While communication was a little spotty, all things went well with the short time I was with HT. I managed to prove my worth this to the client we were working for and they hired me onto their team within a few days for a permanent position. HT did a good job placing me in the area I desired to work, so now my new permanent position is near my home too! So grateful for my opportunity to have worked with such a great company, who led me to where I am today!!

These guys literally saved my life. A couple of times over the last few years, Ive been inexplicably unable to find work. Both of those times, I went to HT and they helped me back up. Instant employment within my zipcode. Temporary work, sure, but work nonetheless. Please, if youre reading this and youre experiencing hopelessness in the job market, walk into the HT office in Aurora and get yourself some work. Theyll set you up right, and if you actually manage to show up to your shifts, smile at folks, and do a good job, they will appreciate it to the utmost degree. And if youre like me, youll end up being bought out by a company and working full-time somewhere. I start at a dispensary tomorrow and I owe that to Hemp Temps.The people who leave bad reviews about these guys are simply lazy or unable to get along with others. Pro tip: If you feel like the world is keeping you down, it could be due to the fact that you arent actually trying to stand up.

I was tasked with assisting my company in finding a temp for some accounting work, and since finding good employees in cannabis can be tricky I recommended Hemp Temps.Unfortunately after a bit my boss decided that they werent going to be a good fit, but thats just the nature of temp work and my boss called over to Hemp Temps to just let them know the temp didnt need to come back the next day. A person at the company sent the temp an e-mail IN THE MIDDLE OF THE DAY, and told them it was due to the amount of breaks they were taking (which is not what was communicated to the company).It was completely lacking in tact, and created an unnecessarily uncomfortable situation. I know well be avoiding working with Hemp Temps again, and will be advising others do the same.UPDATE:After our first(above) encounter with Hemp Temps, we were reassured that they had a much more qualified candidate that may be a better fit. We were sent another resume (that reflected someone who had the knowledge to help us with these projects) and we agreed to try.After two weeks, this temp seemed to be a good fit in that projects appeared to be getting taken care of, and it felt as if we were all getting along as a team. However, after they left, we became aware that they made an effort to immerse themselves in the petty office drama that plagues most work places, nearly cost quality employees their jobs, but the worst part was realizing that the work we thought had been done, just hadnt.Not only that, but the companies AR policy allows for them to charge 10% per day on any invoice paid later than 5 days after invoice date. As someone who has experience in AP, this is very steep.I left am unable to take this company seriously, which is surprising based on the number of 5 star reviews from students, but I would seriously caution against utilizing their services in any capacity.While Id like to believe that this is a localized problem to Oregon, or to the specific type of candidate we were looking for, the only evidence Ive been given in my interactions with them can only lead me to conclude that this company does not prioritize a) the businesses they serve or b) basic professional business protocol.

Hemp Temps is the best company Ive ever had the pleasure of working for!! In this industry its not what you know, its who you know. This is the absolute perfect company to work for whether you want to bud tend, be a grower, or do anything else with cannabis. Ive gotten the opportunity to work for almost every major dispensary in CO, met the silliest, hardest working, and most interesting people Ive met in my life. Best 4 hours spent in training EVER! If you want to get in the industry you NEED to start here. Content, presentation flow, schedule, brevity all were on point. Presenters/Trainers are extremely passionate and energetic about the cannabis industry which makes the training that much more pleasurable. Dope training!

Fast and easy hiring process, would recommend for someone trying to get into the industry. I was able to learn a lot in a short amount of time.You go to different locations to help out so HempTemps uses an app that shows you when you work, where you work, who you work with and such. You clock in/out with it and can track your hours that way. You tend to do different things everyday— trimming, defanning, cleaning, etc.You’re kinda thrown into it and I was confused the first few days but thankfully the staff in the field are pretty friendly and helpful. The staff in the office I could say otherwise but all around a decent job.Pretty sad I started at the start of the COVID situation because hours were dramatically cut so I had to part ways with the company but now I have some experience so I was easily able to get another job.Like I said...would recommend for someone trying to get in the industry.

Hemp Temps has been very helpful to me and my personal career choice. I just completed the trimming course at Hemp Temps, the instructor (Jordan) was proficient in explaining all the required material and knowledge. Not only is the staff super polite and their work area kept very neat and clean, but they really seem to care about you and your personal needs etc. If I knew anyone that was new to the area and had any interest in trimming, bud-tending, etc, I would not hesitate to send them to Hemp Temps.

This company Hemp Temps is illegally operating by a group of Florida scam artists. Unfortunately, young and eager people moving to CO are tricked into thinking that they are signing a contract which essentially black balls them from the entire industry. I never signed a contract and when I quit hemp temps for verbally abusing me and calling me a liar, they still tried to get money for my contract. Again I never signed one and even if I did, its illegal in the state of CO to interfere with ones ability to earn a living. Hemp temps illegally tried to get $1500 for an imaginary contract with Mindful. (A poorly run company in CO).Not only was this unlawful, but kept me from working for 2 weeks until Mindful )the least Mindful company you never want to work for). If you think you signed a contract - read. If this thinks they can bully you out of work - they will try - dont let them. My lost wages are not for nothing. Hemp Temps doesnt guarantee hours, tries to keep you in duress and constantly undermined their own credibility. At this point anyone associated with them is instantly discredited. Some people wont even read High Times because Hemp Temps was reviewed in it. Every company that I spoke with said they would would never hire a hemp temp employee and or never thought about hiring one. The cannabis industry has no room for these kinds of abusive employees and I will not sit while this continues . Army of one

If I could rate Hemp Temps zero stars, I would. Our company used them twice. After first giving us a temp accountant who didnt know how to use basic accounting software, we had another temp sign on with us. We thought the new person was a decent fit, she was kind of abrasive but seemed to be doing good work. After using her for two weeks, not only did we find out that she wasnt actually doing what we thought she was, but she wrote a letter to the owner of our company essentially singing her own praises while simultaneously degrading the entire financial team. She involved herself in office drama where she had no business getting involved. To top it off, Hemp Temps then has the audacity to try to slap us with exorbitant late fees, which we WILL NOT be paying. What self respecting company charges 10% on an invoice 5 days past due? Avoid at all costs, cannabis industry folks. It is simply not worth the time and money lost.

Im a new employee to not only this company but the medical industry itself and everyone at Hemp Temps is absolutely wonderful. The office has been extremely helpful with not only getting me to work quickly aswell as training me to succeed for each of my job duties. I worked for HempTemps for a grand total of 2 days before they stopped scheduling me. I drove 100 miles to a job, only to never be paid by the company. Its been 2 months since I worked that job, I have yet to be paid. The HR rep claims they had the wrong account number, then claimed they mailed out the check. Still, here I sit, no check. I expects to paid for my time and work. Clearly, HempTemps feels differently. On top of all that, they charge excessively for the service they provide. So, tell me, why cant they pay the employees out there doing the dirty work?

Some of the places you get to work for are absolutely amazing. The reason I gave a 2 star, actually. I was employed with them from the beginning of February to the end. I got an upper respiratory infection and then had to wait for my credit card or tax refund or even unemployment to pay me something so I could get my phone up and running so I could clock in and out. It took me 4 days after a week of being sick to get this done because of complications with the credit card company. I was emailed and told they needed me on the field, so as soon as my credit card was up and running, I paid for phone service. I sent an email letting the scheduling manager know I was able to work again THAT SAME DAY and received no response. I emailed all 3 emails and even left a message and received no response. I feel like I am being punished even though I was JUST told that they needed me in the field. Way to stay professional.

Im giving Hemp Temp a 5 STAR review because it’s what they deserve! I started off not knowing anything about the industry but thanx to Whitney,David, Brok, and a few others I learned so many things! But I personally would like to thank Whitney for telling me “you have to set a goal for yourself” and I actually listened. I know I was very quiet and was always in my zone but to be honest it was nothing personal.. I just wanted to get better; which i did, and noticed that i was pretty fast at trimming. I wish i didn’t have to leave because It was a super chill job. And even though I was not a supervisor, I did my job the best I could and always gave my 100% and the fact that Whitney and Cody saw potential in me and considered asking me about becoming supervisor when I hadn’t been with Hemp Temps for more than 3 months? It just proves to show that I am good at something, so thank you guys for showing me that. And thank you Hemp Temps for hiring me when I had 0 experience. 💚

They try and make you pay for classes, for industry jobs. All they do is place you in manual labor trim jobs. They dont even have bud tender as a section in the work schedule spreadsheet. Dont waste your money with their classes. Read a book and you can get more. If you want to trim then by all means, but dont be fooled into thinking they will be capable of placing you in any other sort of position within the industry. #scam

This company takes advantage of its employees. Forces you to pay for training and orientation. They play petty games with staffs schedules and will reduce hours without any prior warning. A lack of formal disciplinary action and the major disconnect between the office staff and their trim crew made working for this company absolutely awful.

After passing out many applications and resumes with no luck, I finally found hemp temps and they helped me land a permanent job with one of the best dispensaries in town! If you have a difficult time, hit up hemp temps and they will def help you get started in the marijuana industry! Wish I would have known abouth them earlier on in my search.

This is a company without an moral standards. There are clients who treat you like slaves, talk down to you and belittle your work. They have slave leaders that if u question you will be instantly terminated even if the super harrases you. Vangst and Trim Crew have and run more qualified people above industry standards then this company. Turn over rate and Call outs and missed shifts is a very common thing with staff. I know more employees who milk the clients time, and money in their production so they dont have to push production. I suggest this should be your last choice if wanting in the industry, there are numerous dispensaries always hiring and other Trim crews you can get on with better moral standards and starting better pay.

Please read!! I see most of the posts that give good ratings are in their first weeks and know nothing about the operations of this company. Or they are a supervisor and were begged by the office for good comments. What a joke. This company will turn you into an indentured slave! They run this company by selling you a class and one weeks work. They can make 2.5 million a year on 500 employees, just using that business model. Now imagine how many people a year move here with no experience, that is their target. There is no building of professionals. They will make you drive 130 miles a day, and when you call they screen whos calls they will answer. After I get tired of being ignored, I ignore them. So they focably told me I voluntarily resigned. Even after Jenna admitted to not having my correct number for 4 months.... same number for 5 years.

I got great experience with them in the Trimming and Harvesting business and it was something I never did before and they helped me with whatever I needed help with. The classes they offer were a big help also.

Im really happy with HT, the flexibility is exactly what I need. And HTs are hard workers. You get to go to different locations almost every shift & learn new techniques with processing cannabis and learn more about the biz from being in so many locations with so many different people...so your day-to-day never gets stale. The work is fulfilling, anything having to do with nature just feels good. Also, the clients we work for have always treated me with respect & kindness.KNOW THIS: Working with HempTemps needs to mesh well with the rest of your life, as far as flexibility goes. Youre not guaranteed 40 hrs every week, your pay changes with how long your daily shifts last and you dont find out if or when youre scheduled until late afternoon the day before. Take this into consideration if you have no room for fluctuations in your financial circumstance or social life. Youll screw yourself if your expectations dont match the reality of how this works. You are basically on-call for the next morning, every day, unless youve let them know youre unavailable certain days in advance. This scheduling is not awesome, but the environment, culture & coworkers make it fun. HTs is perfect for my lifestyle, flexibility is key!

My experience with HempTemps was by far better then expected. It was the best way for me to get integrated back into the cannabis industry after two years in another market. My adviser Nick was very attentive to my skills I brought with my prior experience and placed me at positions I was able to thrive in. The communication was great with my scheduler Bobby who always made sure I had good hours and the right pay. Over the last 4 months I was able to expand my experiences as well, in to MIPs and Transportation. Please Read!Working with Hemp temps has been an absolutely, magnificent experience for me. The main thing I enjoy about Hemp Temps is, the Positive work environment. The marijuana industry can be a tuff place but when your Teamed up with some of the most positive managers, supervisors as well as co-workers it makes even the toughest task Easy peasy lemon squeezy. In addition to being teamed up with some amazing coworkers Hemp temps allows me to work at numerous dispensary’s as well as get a taste of multiple procedures and methods of cultivating for example growing, harvesting, manicuring, packaging and customer service (Witch are valuable experiences to add to your resume). Last, but not least hemp temps are very flexible with scheduling. With the proper notice I am able to, have a second job as well as attend some once in a life time events, like my daughter’s high school graduation. I recommend Hemp temps to anyone who wants to get their foot into the marijuana industry as well as, plant their feet in a company that has plenty of room for your personal growth.

Hemp Temps was great with getting me started in the cannabis industry. It was so tuff going door to door looking for something and getting turned down. They helped me get hired on full time after just a couple months. Awesome guys!!! People complain about the classes but the classes were the best thing. I have nothing bad to say about HempTemps. Ive worked for many temp agencies in my life and they are all a little different. Working in the cannabis industry is a tricky business given the ill-minded federal gov. hanging over the heads of people trying to make a living. The cannabis industry is like any other industry in that bringing a great product to the shelves of a store is not an easy process from seed to store. Its a lot of very hard work. I was a trimmer and the experience was invaluable. My experience with the HempTemp staff was very good. The class I took for trimming was well done and the teacher was great. If you want to gain some experience in the cannabis field and get your foot in the door this is the place to start. This is a rapidly growing industry and Im grateful to be a part of it. The worst company to work for. Please please I almost lost my home because they cant keep track of there websites Adilas. Refuse to pay because I forgot to log in is one of their common phrases. Good place to start in the industry to get your foot in the door, but the effort in employees knowledge and accountabiity has vastly declined. Clients beware of getting temps that arent properly trained or ceritified in pesticide training.

READ A REVIEW FROM SOMEONE WHO ACTUALLY WORKED THERE AND WASNT PAID FOR THEIR REVIEW LIKE THE FRESH TRAINEES ARE:If you have an MED badge you can make $12/hr but if you grow any plants, cannabis or otherwise, the contaminated grows you work at will inevitably destroy all of them, or cost you hundreds of dollars to keep clean.I brought home powdery mildew, and had to walk out of a facility that was ridiculously invested with aphids post-harvest.They give you your next days schedule at 5pm every day, so you never know what your next day looks like until then, and theyll schedule you 90 minutes away from home with no travel compensation, regardless if you listed those areas in your preferred work range. I missed several shifts that I was scheduled too far away to work, because scheduling staff didnt seem to check listed preferences.A good start, but will not lead to any real career opportunities.Were a staffing agency, not a temp agency.You also often have to stay at sites an hour or 2 after youre scheduled, and when I brought this up I was told the hours are just a suggestion.Its also worth mentioning that Ive heard multiple reports from other workers that an outdoor hemp field they were scheduled at made them physically ill, including cases of vomiting and pink eye.

All I can say is do not use this company, chaos will ensue and the quality of temp they supply leaves a lot to be desired. Not only are the temps (we tried two) inexperienced but the last one they sent actually had the gall to vape cannabis on the premises during her breaks (despite being told twice that it is illegal). When she was not offered a permanent position due to attitude, lack of skill and illegal activity, she sabotaged our accounting system and sent hate emails to the owners. STAY AWAY if you value your company! (I had to give it one star or it wouldnt let me post this, but if I could I would give a -10!)

Great company to work for, I had no prior experience in the industry and Ive learned so much with them. I have learned a plethora of information working for multiple companies all around Colorado. Ive had a stellar time with HT and Im really excited to see what is to come.

Made two trips to Denver, was to be there at 12:00,got there early meeting was already started, had to rush through paperwork, very little info, was only there 15 minutes,when done felt really empty handed. Complicated clock in system. Luckily Kim called me and said all they had was in Denver. Too far for the money. Im not going to move to Denver for 12.00 an hour.

Just finished harvesting and trimming 101. I have learned more than i ever thought i could about cannabis. Highly recommened to any one looking to learn everything and anything about cannabis.

Pros of working at Hemp Temps: 1. You get to explore different facilities that provide to much of Colorado.2. Majority of the people you work with are very open minded.3. The work environment tends to be chill.4. You can determine your own scheduled days and preferred times you would like to work.Cons of working at Hemp Temps: 1. Training consists of Powerpoint slides. These are things you can learn for free through Google/Youtube so dont pay for the classes or the glove box/shears setup, etc. You have to buy your own gloves and shears anyways unless the facility you go to provides them so get them somewhere else cheaper.I cant tell you how many people went through the training, showed up to a shift, and still dont know how to begin defanning or trimming a plant properly.2. When you get hired (and theyll hire anyone with a badge, no resume needed), they will not inform you of the 1 year contract that your are bound to which prevents you from applying to and working for the facilities you have worked for while with Hemp Temps.3. If you break the contract, you will lose your job at the facility you were hired at because Hemp Temps will threaten to sue the company youre working for. They have no intentions on getting you a permanent position with a company.4. Each contract starts at around $1,500 a person, much like the slave trade, and some people have even paid for portions of their contract just so they could get hired at a facility that wanted to hire them because Hemp Temps refused to give them up.5. Pay rate is not supposed to be discussed amongst employees because it is determined on a case by case basis. This means that you could get hired at $12/hr because you have experience, but someone else could get hired at $15/hr without experience. I worked there for 1 year starting at $12, ending at $12.75. A new person a few weeks in got hired on at $13, no experience. An inexperienced trimmer could be making more than their supervisor.5. They do not inform you when a work week is slow so you may have asked to work full time but then all of a sudden, youre only getting scheduled 2-3 days a week. So have a backup plan for your bills.6. If you drive your own car, youll pay for the gas no matter where youre assigned, near or far.7. Dont expect to be assigned a budtending shift unless you already have experience because there are almost no positions for that available. Youll more than likely be trimming, packaging, or doing labor jobs.Dont be fooled by the positive reviews. These are from new hires who are just getting their feet wet in the industry and were probably bribed into leaving a 5 star review for a $5 gift card.All in all, I suggest you find jobs through Craigslist, Indeed, etc and get hired on yourself. Just be patient. Avoid this company.
