Had a terrible customer service experience here with the supposed manager I was horrified with the treatment he gave me and I am no longer doing business with them and Augusta their other manager who I think left Heather was amazing she was fantastic it’s unfortunate she’s not there anymore you all will lose a lot of business with this rude careless manager that you have right now. I was truly shocked by how it was treated.
They moved appointment a week out said they called and left message. Must of been someone else’s phone not mine. Paid for complete tow hitch with mount and ball, my wife went to pick up car and they tried to say it was without mount and ball. After she produced a receipt, the guy gave her the mount, she said isn’t there a ball supposed to be on it, he then gave her the ball. She said isn’t there supposed to be a pin to secure it? He said oh yeah thats over there and made her go get it. We paid almost $500 for a trailer with ball mount complete set. Not sure if because she was a female he thought he could get one over on her? But beware Augusta Uhaul is amateur hour at best!
Called 10 days ago to schedule an appt. to have a tow hitch installed on my vehicle; was told the part takes 4-5 days to come in, so the appt. was made for today and I was never told to call BEFORE I showed up for the scheduled appt. I show up this morning and am told they have to see if the part came in.....No one called me to tell me that the part was not in, they never told me originally to call before coming in, nothing. This morning they could not even find a tracking number for the part or tell me when it would be in. Today when I called back to cancel the appointment they seemed rather perturbed by it, like really!?!?!?!?! I needed this done like yesterday and now they are upset with me because they are losing business.....
Have been trying to call them all morning to make a reservation and no answer. I still NEED the service so I made the reservation online. I hope the trailer I have reserved is available. Im worried based on previous reviews.Edit: oh hey. Updating my review from 1 to 5 stars. The one measly dude they had working in there was incredible for how swamped he was no wonder nobody answered the phone. I waited in line forver but no biggie. And they had exactly one of the trailor size i had reserved on the lot so. 5 stars for the poor dude.
Worst customer service. Cant get ahold of anyone, dropped my car off at 8:30 and wasnt done yet by 4:30 after I said I needed it by 4.
Excellent customer service. The manager is amazing, she is super friendly and she was able to swap our trailer out for another when we got a flat tire. The Best Uhaul rental facility I have ever been to, and we have moved a lot over the years. The facility was clean, neat, and organized. The manager was on top of everything.
DO NOT USE THIS UHAUL LOCATION - If I could give them less than 1 start I would. They do not follow their own company policies and they set you up to be scammed. They do not check the vehicles with you on pick up or drop off, they do not verify you are taking the correct vehicle, and they do not explain any of their process or policies with you. We used a truck, which was entirely DIRTY, for less than 2 hours. We returned the truck, no one did a walk around, no one verified that it was checked in, nothing. We were home, checked our receipt that was FINALLY emailed hours later and we were charged for damage to a the vehicle $138. Since we could not get ahold of anyone at the unit here in Augusta, we drove there to see what was happening. NO ONE WAS IN THE STORE, totally left empty. When we found the only employee in sight, he immediately raised his voice and began arguing with us. The manager was cussing and was beyond rude to us when we disputed the charge for damage. We called the corporate number on the door and heard him admit that he incorrectly charged us for damage and they cleared the charge. It has now been over a week since we had this interaction and we are again charged $126.69 for who knows what this time. THEN when you call to sort out what is going on you have to go through numerous automation windows to get in touch with an actual human. When you finally get ahold of someone, they need everything short of what you ate for breakfast to clarify they have the correct person for the specific contract. This company is in serious need of customer service training, policy structure and enforcement, and a nice reminder of how businesses depend on customers and even more so RETURN customers. Highly recommend that you choose a different service entirely or find a Uhaul location with better reviews.
Their self storage is safe, climate controlled, and not too expensive. Very good security and also great options for accessing your storage unit.
I would go out of my way to avoid doing business with the Augusta U-Haul. After confirming an appointment for a trailer hitch install, it took the staff two additional weeks to find the right parts. Despite promising several times to call to notify me of when my appointment would be rescheduled, the staff never did -- I wound up having to call them multiple times per week for updates. Then, when the parts finally did arrive, they told me after 3 hours of in-person waiting that they wouldnt be able to complete the install. It was an appalling experience. I would rate the customer service with zero stars if that were permitted.
Terrible experience. Had an appointment for a hitch to be put on set up a week in advance. Came time for the appointment and they said they were too busy so leave the vehicle. I’m meanwhile left without a vehicle. Hours later I learn they finally have tried to put a hitch on but snap the screws off in the process. So I’m told to go elsewhere to have someone else drill the screws out then bring it back. On and on. Waste of time money effort and rude behavior on their part.
Excellent, safe place for RV propane fill. Fast service. Educated us on why people and pets must exit during fill.
Tried to get a hitch installed on my 2017 Rogue. Was told they would have to special order it and would call me when it arrived. Never called. Wouldn’t do business with them ever.
This is a great place! Any size box and they recycle them too! I am super happy
They know us by name and are always ready to help us out with our favorite moving truck every time we need it!! Which is usually every other week as we move a LOT of furniture, people, etc. The manager and all his staff are dynamite! I totally owe them a case of their favorite beer for a holiday Thank you!---don and mel

Spoke with U-Haul at this location. I requested information about a trailer hitch. The gentleman said he would go look and call me back. Of course I didn’t hear back from anyone. I love customer service.
This store has a serious attitude problem which starts at the top. Stiman is obviously a man of few words and youre welcome is not part of his vocabulary. I paid for a 24 hour rental, brought it back in 4 hours, clean and over filled and never got so much as a thank you. Just hey, leave the keys in it and $74.25, you wanna leave that on yor card? When I said thank you I got crickets. Good God, if you dont want to deal with customers why dont you choose another career path. Budget rental where are you?
Completley screwed me over. I moved from Maine to Florida and returned my trailer a couple days late. Payed the late fees and everything and I was fine with that. Some months later now i go to rent and im told im not allowed to rent because this location put an e-alert on my name and banned me from renting. didnt even let me know when they did. Customer service removed the alert on my name but my location is closed now and i needed a truck for work. Now my job is screwed because of these guys maybe think before acting and realize that your decisions have huge consequenses. Thanks for nothing.
Quick service. Unfortunately called me a week later asking when I was going to return the trailer that I had returned the week before.
I was quoted $19.99 for a car dolley over the phone; and when I arived they told me it was a mistake and it was $49.99. That the quote came from out of state and wasnt there price. Other than that they were helpful.
Great service they helped me quickly and I felt welcome.I will be sure to use this store in the future and recommend other do so as well.
I called the number listed and the woman that answered (Bethany) gave me a quote on a Uhaul that was $150 less then the Uhaul I actually needed cost. Imagine my surprise when I showed up to pay.That being said the process and customer service I recieved when rent made up for the intitial poor phone call.

Slovenly and surly employees. Chewing and spitting tobacco while working. Leaving the store unattended while paying customers wait and wait for service. Climate controlled means below freezing temperatures?
They suck! I made an appointment to have trailer lights put on, which was to take maybe 1/2 hour. My husband and I have been sitting here for over an hour, because they have only one guy working and he keeps helping people that is coming in the store before finishing our car. I will never come back here even to get boxes!!!! They SUCK!!!!
This Uhaul Store ripped me off, I picked up the Truck and went to my Home which was only around 5 Miles away and then went to the Storage Unit which was about 6 Miles away then I went back to my House and then back to Uhaul so that is about 22 Miles and when I looked at my receipt it showed I drove 56 Miles, there is no way I could have driven that many Miles, I guess I should not have trusted them and I should have recorded the Mileage when I got the Truck and when I brought it back.
Don’t rent a truck here they will charge you more miles then you use.
Fast service and when I returned to correct a mistake they were friendly and fixed the problem very quickly
Couldnt fit and sell me a hitch and ball unless I was renting on the spot, lost the sale.
Busy hub of activity, on the morning I was there. Understaffed, overwhelmed and in the process of training somebody, but the staff was cheerful and helpful.
